In which group did Arkhipov's novel participate. First and second line-up - Chelsea group

22.06.2019

Roman Arkhipov is a musician and singer, a graduate of Star Factory 6 and a former member of the group. Today, the young man conquers the Russian audience and collaborates with a music label in the United States, where he has already managed to gain fans.

Childhood and youth

Roman's biography could not be connected with anything other than music, because he was born into a family known in artistic circles. His father Igor Arkhipov acted as the concert director of some pop stars. In particular, he collaborated with.

Roman Arkhipov was born on November 9, 1984 in Nizhny Novgorod, which in those years was called Gorky. In 1991, the family moved to Moscow, as the parents saw great prospects for development in the capital. And they were not wrong.

The boy was 7 years old when he was enrolled in the capital's school. By that time, he was already studying music and learning to play the piano, and later on the bass guitar. Like many children, he was not disappointed in the chosen direction and graduated from a music school. Roma patiently endured high loads, showing perseverance and determination. The character of the child was already manifested then. It became clear that Arkhipov was not one of those who stop halfway.

In addition to music, Roman was interested in tennis. The boy also studied English and even then learned with curiosity the success stories of foreign performers. Arkhipov was a diligent and interested student, so he graduated from the 11th grade as an external student.

He wanted to quickly complete his studies and do what he really liked. The young man repeatedly went on tour with Tatyana Ovsienko's concert group, and these tours inspired him. When his voice broke due to adolescence, the guy despaired and decided that he would have to end the music.

It was not easy for a young man to choose a future profession. He devoted himself entirely to music, but wanted to try his hand at the FSB academy. Knowledge and level of preparation were conducive to admission. The obstacle was that the young man did not pass the medical examination.

Roman left for the USA for a year, and a miracle happened there - his voice returned to him, and with it inspiration. Having arrived in Russia, Arkhipov knew for sure that nothing would stop him on the way to his goal. He entered the Moscow State University at the Faculty of International Relations, since the lack of higher education for the family was unthinkable, and in parallel with his studies at the university he studied music. The chance to try your luck turned up when the casting for the Star Factory 6 project opened. The performer successfully passed the test and became a participant in the show, where future pop stars were trained.

Music

The appearance of Arkhipov at the "Star Factory" surprised some viewers, because the guy did not quite fit into the format of the show. He loved rock, and his deep, hoarse voice set him apart from the other members. Roman openly declared his desire to show a different vision of the "Factory", and the producers gave this opportunity.

Roman Arkhipov's song "Don't go away"

At the reporting concerts, the young man performed in a duet with and, a group. He was trusted to perform foreign rock hits Gotthard and. The novel was one step away from the finale, but this did not prevent the artist from finding a faithful and loving listener. The song "Don't Leave" in his performance remained popular for a long time.

According to the results of the project, together with 3 other members of the Star Factory, Roman Arkhipov joined the newly-minted Chelsea group. He became the producer of the boy band, and Arkhipov's father took over the organization of the concerts. For 5 years, Roman recorded songs and starred in videos with his colleagues. The group released 2 albums, went on tour in many cities of Russia, received the Golden Gramophone award. Photos of performers now and then appeared on the covers of youth magazines.

The experience gained was enough to understand: it's time to realize myself in solo work. In 2011, Roman Arkhipov completed his cooperation with the Chelsea group and set off on an independent voyage. This did not affect personal relationships with former colleagues. In an interview, the performer admits that the artists are still friends, and he fondly recalls the time when Chelsea went on tour in full force.

Being engaged in creativity, Roman decided to direct his efforts to development in the American show business and moved to Los Angeles. Now he constantly runs between Russia and America, collaborating with world-famous producers. At first, the English-speaking audience presented the novel under the pseudonym Troy Harley.

Roman Arkhipov's song "The Sun"

The adapted name was easier for foreign audiences to perceive. Under it, the performer performed as an opening act for the legendary as part of the group's tour. But later the singer decided to return to his own name and renamed his project R.O.M.A.N.

In Russia, Roman Arkhipov participated in the musical project "Success", which was broadcast by the STS channel. The invitation to cooperate turned out to be a pleasant surprise for the artist. The singer became the finalist of the show, in which he performed material developed in the USA. He managed to remind the Russian public of himself, and the fans began to cheer for their favorite with renewed vigor.

Personal life

The life of Roman Arkhipov is full of travels, favorite work and interesting events. The artist is in no hurry to have a wife and children, since by American standards he is at the most productive age, when you don’t have to think about his personal life and family.

The novel has always enjoyed the attention of girls. For some time he was in a relationship with Daria Reznikova, a master of sports in Latin American dances. The singer's relationship with a married actress and a romantic story with a participant in the show "Success" Yulia Boyko did not go unnoticed by the press and paparazzi.

Roman often visits the gym, snowboarding, skiing, wakeboarding. He carefully works out his image, being carried away by branded wardrobe items and exclusive accessories. Now, as in his youth, he remains an ardent supporter of rock, which can be seen in the external attire of the performer.

The singer loves pets. A cat, a dog and squirrels found shelter in his house. Roman Arkhipov tells his fans about his everyday life in his personal account in "Instagram".

Today, the artist collaborates with producer Thomas Marolda, who brought The Killers and Imagine Dragons to the musical Olympus. A close friend of Marolda Richie Sambora became a friend of Roman Arkhipov. Thanks to this, the composition We Ain "t Giving Up was born.

Deciding to try his hand at producing, Roman opened a video production company, RA Entertainment. It brings together talented cameramen, actors and directors to create quality videos. The company's clients have already become, and. Now a branch of the organization operates in Russia.

In 2018, Arkhipov presented in Russia a video for the romance "In the days when she was mine", performed by him on the show "Success". In the same year, the premiere of the video clip for the song "The Sun" took place.

The Russian pop group Chelsea, the brainchild of the Star Factory musical project, quickly burst onto the pop scene, having won an army of thousands of fans. The names of charming guys - first four, then three - were repeated by the fans more often than other manufacturing stars. The guys presented dozens of wonderful songs to music lovers of the CIS countries and won their own niche in Russian show business.

Chelsea Group

You should not be surprised, because the well-known composer became the producer of the project, whose track record includes collaborations with, and other pop stars of the country. But the Chelsea team, which appeared after the 6th season of the Star Factory, stands apart.

Compound

The 6th season of the project, created to support and promote new talent, started in the spring of 2006. Of the 16 thousand applicants for the talent show, 17 young performers got into it. Seeing the commonality that unites several soloists into a vibrant team is not an easy task. All the guys are different, they made their first steps in music before participating in a rating TV show in different styles and genres.

But the producer of the show, Viktor Drobysh, coped with the difficult task brilliantly, finding in the guys something that complemented and turned the disparate into a single whole.

Already at the second concert, the producer presented the audience with new bands. Not all of them successfully continued their careers after the project, but four managed to stay together for a long time. 17-year-old from Barnaul, 19-year-old Alexei Korzin from Apatity, 21-year-old Muscovite and his peer from Mozdok got a stellar chance.

Previously, the guys took their first steps in a musical career in different directions. Arseniy preferred soul performance, Alexei preferred RnB, Roman chose rock, and Denis rapped. But the guys performed the joint debut composition called “Alien Bride” in one breath, demonstrating a single whole.

The first line-up of the Chelsea group

The first composition became a hit in 2006, in the summer it sounded on all dance floors and in cafes, reached the 2nd step of the Golden Gramophone hit parade on the waves of Russian Radio and entrenched itself in this position for 20 weeks.

At first, four vocalists were called a male boy band, the guys performed at the "factory" concerts-reports without a name, but soon the question of the group's name arose. An announcement about the best name for the team appeared on the forum of the Channel One television company.

The intrigue ended at the end of the show, at the final concert of the project. At a music show at the Olimpiysky sports complex, Sergey Arkhipov and Sergey Arkhipov presented the male quartet with a certificate for the Chelsea trademark, which the guys can use in Russia and the CIS countries.

The new composition of the Chelsea group

The name "Chelsea" for many is associated with the bohemian district of the British capital. The name of a male band from Russia, as it were, made a claim to areas where Europeans had previously reigned. The birthday of the Chelsea group is considered to be June 29, 2006, the day the certificate was presented at the NSC Olimpiysky.

Towards the end of 2006, in addition to four vocalists, there were five musicians in the Chelsea group: three guitarists, a keyboardist and a drummer. In 2011, the Chelsea group underwent changes: the quartet turned into a trio due to the departure of Roman Arkhipov. Arseniy Borodin, Alexey Korzin and Denis Petrov remained in the team.

Music

The vocalists have repeatedly refuted the myth about the use of a phonogram on the project: the Chelsea group demonstrated “live” instruments and vocals every time at concerts. At a concert organized by the Muz-TV channel in the spring, the Chelsea group was the only one who insisted on singing "live".

The second hit of the Chelsea band was the composition "The Most Beloved". The song was performed at Borodin's last nomination. Soon the guys were awarded the Golden Gramophone for her.

After the final of the 6th season of the project, the soloists of the Chelsea group went on tour around the country and cities of the post-Soviet space. At the concerts, the guys presented the entire repertoire. Denis Petrov and Arseniy Borodin entertained the guests with entertainer numbers, enlivening the audience between vocal numbers.

Fans who bought tickets for the performances of the Chelsea group heard their favorite hits “For You”, “Last Call”, “Become Mine”, “In Half”.

All members of the team both sing and write the texts of new compositions, and arrange. The project featured songs by Alexei Korzin and Denis Petrov. Each of the guys plays an instrument, and Korzin is a multi-instrumentalist. The guys joke that Alexey extracts musical sounds from all the surrounding objects that his hands reach for.

Towards the end of 2006, the Chelsea group presented their self-titled debut album, presented 3 remixes and covered the old hit “I won’t come to you” by the mega-popular group “Merry Fellows” in the 1990s. The presentation of the collection took place in the capital's club "Gelsomino" on the first day of December.

After the presentation, the musicians recorded a new composition to the music of Drobysh and the words of Lena Stuf called "Love is always right." He agreed to perform the song with the Chelsea group. In the spring of 2007, the hit hit the rotation, and in the summer the vocalists delighted the fans with the new composition "Wings".

Chelsea's repertoire includes dozens of cover versions of well-known hits. The guys sang musical movie hits of different years, which all age categories of music lovers sang along with pleasure.

At the end of the summer of 2007, the group presented the first video for the hit "Most Beloved", which was directed by Vitaly Mukhametzyanov. As conceived by the clip maker from Ufa, the guys embodied four elements: fire, water, earth and air. In October 2007, the video clip entered the rotation. The video for a composition jointly with Kirkorov was shot by Oleg Gusev, using the St. Petersburg Shuvalov Palace. In the same 2007, video clips for the songs “I won’t come to you” and “Wings” appeared.

In 2008, the Chelsea group delighted fans with new compositions “Fly”, “Her eyes are missing” and “Happiness in every home”. Roman Arkhipov wrote the words and music for the last two songs. He shot a video for the hit “Her eyes are missing”. Of the most striking songs of 2009 - "Point of return" and "In a dream and in reality." The name of the first hit became the cover of the second album.

In 2011, the charismatic trinity was invited to the Channel One project, called the Star Factory. Return". The producers gathered contestants from all seasons, where vocalists from different years competed for reaching the final. In May, the Chelsea group took second place. She was in the lead, but received a "bronze".

In the same year, the Chelsea group presented the songs I Love and Must. 2012 was not without surprises. The guys sang the song “My First Day” to words and music, and Viktor Drobysh wrote the music for the second hit, called “S.O.S.”.

Chelsea Group now

In 2016, former members of the 6th Star Factory celebrated the 10th anniversary of the team. The guys came to the anniversary with three Golden Gramophone awards and two albums. Twice became the group of the year. But the joint work of Chelsea has been on pause for the past 3 years. The guys recorded the last song "Don't Hurt Me" in 2014.

The ex-manufacturers still perform together, but develop solo projects in parallel. In 2015, Arseniy Borodin got on the popular TV show "Main Stage" and won first place. The soloist performed on the "New Wave". In 2017, Borodin became a member of the show "".

Muscovite Roman Arkhipov, who broke away from the Chelsea group in 2011, lives mainly in America, where he continues to build his musical career. In 2016, on his Instagram page, Roman told his fans about his participation in the creation of the video.

Denis Petrov in 2014 got married in a luxurious villa in Florence. His chosen one is the aspiring vocalist Anastasia Verkhovskaya. The couple invited three dozen closest relatives and friends to the celebration. Petrov remained in the Chelsea group and participates in the group's concerts.

Alexey Korzin became a father in May 2016: his wife Katya gave birth to his first child, Petya. The guys from Chelsea were the first to congratulate their colleague.

Korzin continues to be involved in the "factory" project, but is also working on his own called Sever. As part of the new project, Alexey presented the single "With You or Alone", approved by the fans.

FULL NAME: Arkhipov Roman Igorevich

Date of Birth: November 9, 1984
(zodiac sign - Scorpio; according to the eastern horoscope - Mouse)

Place of Birth: Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod).
In 1991, at the age of seven, he moved with his parents to Moscow, where he lives to this day.

Education

He graduated from Moscow school No. 534, while mastering the 11th grade program on his own, having passed the exams as an external student.

From the age of six he studied at the music school in the piano class.

After school, he dreamed of entering the law faculty at the FSB Academy, but did not pass for health reasons. He entered the Faculty of International Relations of the Moscow University for the Humanities and in June 2006 received a diploma in the specialty "Regional Studies".

During his student years, he lived and studied in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA for about a year.

Musical preferences

Roman has been fond of rock music since childhood. Favorite bands and artists include Deep Purple, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, AC/DC, Nazareth, White Snake, Velvet Revolvers, Guns'n'Roses, Alice Cooper, Gotthard, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, Maroon 5. From the classics, he prefers Mozart, especially the late one.

“Rock is music that contains a masculine element, the music of the misunderstood,” says Roman. - This is a deep style, not only in the Texts, but also in Music. This music awakens emotions in me, completely different, but only positive! Rock makes Love, Rejoice, Experience. He, unlike most styles, is able to touch the soul.

Once at the "Star Factory", Roma said that he was going to bring "heavier notes" to the project. And this applies not only to the "factory" format - Roman is convinced that rock music should finally take its rightful place on the national stage. This is what he is going to devote his creative career to.

The beginning of the creative path

Roman learned the intricacies of show business from the age of six, having traveled all over the country in Tatyana Ovsienko's touring group, the director of which is his father. It is not surprising that, constantly rotating in a creative environment, communicating with singers and musicians, Roma himself studied music and sang a lot from childhood.

Breaking the voice at a transitional age, studying in high school and the hassle associated with preparing to enter the university, for some time pushed the dreams of the stage into the background. But at the age of 17, during a trip to America, Roman returned to music again. “I have a lot of free time, an incentive,” he says. “I then started writing my first songs and found that I could sing again.”

Since then, the stage has become an integral part of his life. He works as a bass player at the concerts of Tatyana Ovsienko, starred in the video "Summer" for her duet with Viktor Saltykov. Being a member of the student council of the Faculty of International Relations of Moscow State University, he met the head of the creative group Tamara Alexandrovna Rusakova and became a regular participant in university concerts.

"Star Factory"

Realizing the need to gain experience on the professional stage, Roman takes part in the casting of the Star Factory project three times. And at the beginning of 2006, luck smiled at him on this path: he was among the "manufacturers" of the sixth convocation - Viktor Drobysh's wards.

The four months spent on the project became not only a landmark, but also an unusually productive period in Roman's creative career. At first, he did not look too confident against the background of his neighbors in the Star House, many of whom had considerable stage experience and special vocal education even before joining the project. However, thanks to his talent and hard work, he managed not only not to get lost in their background, but also to make a big qualitative breakthrough both in vocal terms and in terms of emancipation on stage, opening up from a new side and gaining professionalism from concert to concert.

There are four solo songs in his “factory” piggy bank - a record that not a single member of Factory-6 could beat, as well as duets with Vladimir Kuzmin (“Pier of Your Hope”) and Alexander Ivanov (“Dreams”), Sergey Trofimov ( “Wind in the Head”) and Oleg Gazmanov (“Rehearsal of Separation”), Valeria (“Black and White Color”) and Abraham Russo (“Through Love”), Andrei Sapunov (“The Ring”) and Alexei Belov (“Tell Me Why »); with groups "Roots" ("25th floor"), "Earthlings" ("Borsalino"), "Tokyo" ("Who am I without you"), "City 312" ("Out of Access Area") and Gotthard ("Heaven" ). In addition, in many numbers, Roman played the guitar, participated in extras and backing vocals, and also sang as part of a group that later became known as Chelsea. One of the solo songs - "Me and You" - even before the end of the project, got into the rotation of "Russian Radio" and a number of other radio stations.

No matter what Roman sang at the "Factory" - pop or chanson - he did not try to copy the manner and style of popular performers, remaining true to his idea to add "heavier notes" to the project format. However, to the greatest extent, he managed to reveal himself in rock-format numbers. Already his first rock duet with the Swiss band Gotthard for the song "Heaven" brought Roman recognition from the audience of Channel One and MTV. For eight weeks, the duo occupied the first line of the MusicBox charts, for which Roman was awarded a personalized disc. The Gotthard musicians themselves were so pleased with the result that they invited Roman to repeat their joint performance at the Tochka club, and also presented him with one of their songs (“Lift U Up”), which he performed on the factory stage as a second solo number.

After such success, the leader of the Gorky Park group, Alexei Belov, drew attention to the young rock performer, who wrote the compositions “I Will Not Forget” and “Forgive” especially for Roman. With the latter, Roman left the Star Factory just before the final. But this departure was not a defeat! “But rock is still alive!” - he said in his farewell speech, confirming that he managed to accomplish his plan - to break the pop format of the project. This is confirmed by the songs of the Gotthard group, with which it was Roman Arkhipov (and not the finalists of the project) who closed the final concert at the Olimpiysky.

After the end of the project, Roman, like other "manufacturers", signs a contract with the production center of Viktor Drobysh and goes on the Star Factory - 6 tour as a member of the Chelsea group. In addition to him, the team includes Arseny Borodin, Denis Petrov and Alexei Korzin. The group quickly gains popularity, their songs occupy the top of the charts. The fateful year of 2006 "Chelsea" is completed in the title of "best group of the year", having in their luggage the "Golden Gramophone" for the song "Alien Bride", the video for the song "The Most Beloved" and the debut album, which included their songs from the time of the "Star Factory" ”, including the first solo number of the novel “Me and you”.

Currently, the group is active in concert, working on a new album, collaborating with popular Russian performers (in particular, with Philip Kirkorov).

However, despite the success of the group, Roman still dreams of a solo career and plans to create his own rock project.

Interests

He loves to travel very much. For the first time abroad, he was in 1995 in the United Arab Emirates. This was followed by Greece (Crete), Israel (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem), Italy (Venice, Verona), Egypt, Cyprus (Aionapa), Vietnam. For about a year, Roma lived in the USA (Las Vegas), where he studied and worked part-time in a Russian restaurant. From other countries and cities, she dreams of visiting Paris and South Africa. But to the question “Where would you like to live?” replies firmly: “It’s good to have a rest abroad, go there for a short period of time, but I want to live in Moscow. Well, I basically live here.”

Studying English and Spanish.

In addition to keyboards, he plays bass guitar. According to eyewitnesses, he mastered the drum kit in one night, keeping the dacha village awake until morning.

Favorite animal is the scorpion.

Of the sports prefers tennis. If he has free time, he visits the gym. Dreams of mastering snowboarding or skiing.

Favorite colors are black, white and purple.

He prefers expensive and beautiful branded clothes, although he can turn a jacket purchased on the market into a work of hand-made art by sewing scorpions on it. He likes to combine sports and classic clothes with extravagant elements in a rocker style: a long black raincoat, leather pants, metal bracelets and rings on his hands, massive buckles, inscriptions in the rock and roll spirit. But sometimes it's just unrecognizable! Once, in his 2nd year, Roma, dressed in blue trousers, a women's jacket and with a cigar in his hands, stood in the company of two classmates in front of the Prague Embassy, holding a blue bag from one of them. Men walked past them with an exclamation: “Oooh, girls!”, To which Roma replied indignantly: “What girls!?”.

From birth, Roman is blond with curly hair and categorically does not agree to cut them! Although, there were times when the teenager Roma shaved baldly.

Likes to work in Photoshop. For a while, this hobby even turned into a job.

Roman is a very sociable person, he likes to communicate with a variety of people. He maintains friendly relations with Tatyana Ovsienko and Olga Kormukhina, Alexei Belov and Alexander Erokhin (drummer of Lube), musicians of the Gotthard and Nazareth groups, as well as with many other colleagues in the shop.

He does not like to discuss his personal life. It is only known that he is not married. As far as possible, he takes part in raising his younger brother Nikita, the German shepherd Alice, an angry cat and two squirrels.

The Russian stage is updated so often that it is sometimes difficult to remember an artist who was at the peak of popularity a few months ago. In such conditions, it is difficult for performers to stay afloat, because every day new names appear that are capable of great achievements.

In order to really be remembered by listeners from the good side and not to lose recognition even after leaving the top of the stage, you need to do something unusual, new and of the highest quality. At one time, such music was written by a well-known musical composition - the Chelsea group.

The group was very popular, and the words of their songs sounded in the head of almost every person. Glory came to the guys at a fairly early age, but it cannot be said that they did not deserve it. It all started with the "Star Factory" - a project that gave way to life for a considerable number of young artists, who are still popular to this day.

Then still unknown guys from the provinces gathered under the guidance of an experienced producer Viktor Drobysh, who saw the prospect in them and did not lose. It was he who came up with the idea to unite into one group of people who at first glance do not fit at all with each other, because they were all engaged in different genres of music.

Compound

The composition of the Chelsea group changed only once. The first line-up of the group included four people: Arseny Borodin (17 years old, mainly engaged in soul), Denis Petrov (21 years old, rapped), Alexei Korzin (19 years old, was fond of r "n" b music) and Roman Arkhipov (21 years old, preferred rock music). The Chelsea group assembled the first line-up precisely at the Star Factory. The combination of these young people turned out to be surprisingly successful, and they successfully performed on the project, writing several hits, with which they later went on a tour of Russia, gathering crowds of fans at their concerts.

The composition of the Chelsea group was quite diverse. Each member of the group is talented in its own way and deserves special attention. Therefore, it is worth talking about them in more detail.

Denis Petrov

The official place of birth is a small town called Mozdok. Immediately after his birth, his parents moved to Vladikavkaz, so his childhood and youth were spent there.

The future soloist of the Chelsea group studied at an ordinary gymnasium number 5 in Vladikavkaz. After graduating from high school, he entered the university at the Faculty of Journalism. Denis was actively engaged in this profession for some time. He worked as a correspondent and wrote reports for Vesti.

One of the main hobbies in the artist's life was football. Denis was very active in it, but later he still preferred a musical career.

Speaking about musical interests, it is worth noting Denis Petrov's love for the lead singer of the legendary Queen band Freddie Mercury. The Russian artist considers the British musician the best in the history of music.

Now Denis lives in St. Petersburg, where he moved a long time ago. He is a journalist by education and in the first years of his life in the northern capital he studied at the Faculty of Journalism at St. Petersburg State University.

After the collapse of the group, Denis Petrov appeared on the big stage more than once, but in a different role. A few years ago, he performed at the Comedy Battle project with his stand-up.

Roman Arkhipov

Roman was born on November 9, 1984 in a small provincial town called Gorky. However, his childhood was mostly spent in Moscow, where he moved with his parents at the age of 7.

Roman was the oldest member of the Chelsea group, at the time of the creation of the team he was 21 years old. But he has always openly stated that he is a fan of rock music and wants to perform in this particular genre. However, in the group he was the vocalist.

The first composition of the group consisted of four people, among whom was Roman. However, it was he who first left the group, after which the composition of the Chelsea group changed, and only three people remained. It was his personal decision. Despite how successful the Chelsea group was, Roman Arkhipov left the squad consciously and on a friendly note.

Arseny Borodin

Arseny was born in the city of Barnaul on December 13, 1988. His father was a fairly well-known musician, so the boy from childhood was surrounded by an atmosphere of music and creativity.

The father sent the boy to the song theater at an early age, which had a significant impact on his musical talent. Singing teachers saw great potential in him, and they did not fail.

Arseniy was the youngest member of the group. At the age of 17, when he was still at school, the future artist decides to take part in the casting for the Star Factory project, which he successfully passes and is among the participants. This marked the beginning of the musical career of Alexei Borodin.

Alexey Korzin

Date of birth - May 18, 1986. His mother insisted on his son's musical career, as his father wanted to send Alexei to the martial arts section. At an early age, the future singer goes to a music school.

As a teenager, Alexei showed his talent more than once, winning various music competitions, but the starting point of his career, like for all members of the group, was the Star Factory project.

The performer's favorite musical instrument is the piano, but he is the vocalist in the group.

Finally

Chelsea is a musical group whose composition was very diverse. This is one of the few teams that managed to achieve real success. "Chelsea" - a group whose photo composition flaunted on many posters and signs throughout Russia. Their songs were played in almost every institution, concerts were attended by thousands of people. Success does not come in vain, which means that the band members are really talented people who know how to make music at a high level.

The ex-soloist of the Chelsea group told the site how he worked as a loader in America, why he likes Olga Buzova and with whom he will start a family.

“In America, people understand whether you sing to the soundtrack or not”

- Tell me right away, are you offended by questions about the Chelsea group? What happened after that disappeared?

I don't hate anything at all! After Chelsea, seven years ago, I left for America - in search, in the pursuit of self-development. I already understood that I did everything I could, and achieved everything as part of the group. There was a project “Star Factory. Return", we performed well, took second place, performed live, showed everything, and not just sugary songs like "Alien Bride". They performed as a pop-rock band, singing romantic, but not snotty things. I understood that this was some kind of ceiling, and I left. Not from a sinking ship, but when everything started anew. I left because everything was not enough for me.

Chelsea, 2011

Did the move help?

Everything started up again. I started working with a famous American producer who judged American idol for 11 seasons, Randy Jackson. He discovered Mariah Carey, worked with Steven Tyler. Great person! We released a few singles, I went on tour. 40 cities! America, Canada. And then he came back and went on tour again - along with my favorite band at that time, as a warm-up. It's a great experience, very interesting. I did not disappear, but moved, concentrated on America. Creative people, it seems to me, do not disappear. They have a certain geography, roots, where they came from, where they were born, grew up, and so - artists always travel around cities and countries, live in hotels, and only when I get older I can afford to assimilate somewhere. Have a home, a family.

- How do you like the American audience?

It's hard to compare. Also good. They understand music more, because there is a completely different musical environment. We have an emphasis on the classics, which is not very interesting for young people. And there - pop music, jazz, country. Simple genres, interesting and original. In America, people understand whether a person sings to a phonogram or live, whether he plays the guitar well or badly. In Russia, it is still different, and there are objective reasons for that, the same 90s, the change of political systems, when people had no time for music, but everything is changing. The American audience knows how to admire a bass player in a band, despite the fact that ours often does not hear where the bass guitar is, why is it needed? Solo is not played on it. This is not a reproach, just a fact. But the distance is shrinking.

“We worked all day as a loader, and then went for the latest sneakers”

- I read that you worked as a loader in America, is that true?

It happened, and not too long ago. Of course, you can wave the flag and say how cool everything is, I came, I defeated everyone, but I admit that there were difficult moments. I had to terminate the first contract - the management turned out to be not very professional. There were many promises, a lot of money spent, but I realized that this was all a road to nowhere. I started all over again because I had to. Found guitarist Bon Jovi, producer Imagen Dragons, we started working. But this is a long process, it requires strength, time, money, living in America is not a cheap pleasure at all, rent alone is worth something. At one point, I found myself alone with everything - I didn’t understand where to live, the girl left me, and everything was serious with her. Stress, depression. Of course, I will not tell you how wonderful I was, I understand that at that time it was possible to leave me. And then a friend offered to earn extra money as a loader: $ 14 per hour. I thought it was not bad, I figured that you could earn about $70 per trip, and $200 per day, not bad. The only thing is the physical load is huge. Back hurts, arms, legs. But I think that a man should not be afraid of physical labor. I didn’t have to climb into the sewer, and thank God.

Did you spend money on music?

Yes to everything. Don't say it's for food. At one point, my friend and I were laughing: things started to get better, we could carry heavy boxes all day, earn $ 200, and I went and bought perfume, and he bought fashionable sneakers.

"Buzova plows, and the rest envy"

– Have you returned to Russia now?

Hard to tell. Here I lived, there, and realized that I could not exist in one place. I have many connections, affairs, prospects in America. And I gained experience in seven years, now I really want to do something cool. And in general, how it turns out. I am a specialist in international relations by education, and I want to bring this to life. Because when politicians cannot agree, musicians must do it at the level of ordinary people, fans. I like to be between different cultures, countries. In the same America, they ask me about Russia, because there is a stereotype there: Russian women are of easy virtue, men are drunkards, and bears walk the streets, and we only eat dumplings. And sometimes there are good reasons for that! Russian women can behave dissolutely abroad, men drink, and we love dumplings, except that there are no bears on the streets. I never hid that Russian. On the contrary, I come, and someone starts telling how bad the Americans are, I say that this is wrong - ordinary people, not politicians and not oilmen, they are the same. Kind, sincere, interested, with their own problems. I could go to the store, someone heard my Russian speech, they came up and asked - where are you from? And they talked about our president, admired the country.

Did you agree with everything?

Didn't argue. Controversy on the topic of religion, politics - it is inappropriate. Everyone will still remain at his own. The big guys are playing with people's lives, and it can't be any other way. But I prefer not to compare, not to argue. Why get angry?

– You worked with Steve Tyler, Bon Jovi, and Olga Buzova. She's a rather controversial musician, what do you say?

I don't understand what's wrong here? I am amazed by people who do not love her, they begin to insult her, call her “talentless”, say that her music is bad, and she cannot dance. I want to ask right away - guys, and everything else we have is Sting, Aerosmith and so on? All our music is like this, and Olga Buzova is no worse than the rest. She works more, does not hesitate to get her hands dirty.

- In terms of?

- You were on a project led by Purulent. Do you watch battles?

By the way, at first I was afraid of him, he has a strange image. But behind the cameras, he turned out to be quite a sane person! And battles… They are taken from another culture, and this is new, cool. I tried to watch them, turned them on, heard obscenity, obscenity, negativity, I didn’t like it. But they told me that there are cool releases, apparently, I just didn’t get it, but my hand didn’t rise to turn it on anymore. I myself have a vulgar sense of humor, I don’t climb into my pocket for a word, but when it’s in the masses and everyone is dragging along, it’s a little sad. Of course, it's great that there is something else - Buzova and battles. But the Russian Sting is not. Lacking something even, without pretensions. To have good quality music. Therefore, I created a company, I want to make a high-quality alternative layer of Russian music.

"Dad told me to make songs for the radio"

- Chelsea is a pop project, and you are all so fatal. Don't you want to stop being associated with it? Are you comfortable?

Comfortable. As I go, so shall I. I can’t say what I associate with rock, yes, my hair is long, I like to wear irons. But rock is also skin, tales, a beard, a beer belly. It has never been like this. Maybe in my old age? The stomach is growing, nothing can be done (laughs). But this "Sex, drugs, rock'n'roll" is not about me. And I'm interested in something new. Rock classics are already there, everything is written. I'm currently working with the producer of Imagen Dragons. They are famous, but you can't call them rock, and you can't call them pop. Somewhere between.

What do your parents say about your career?

It's hard to say, now is a difficult time. But they like what I do, they believe in me. My dad is a musician himself. He says: “We need to do something for the radio,” but I can’t. There you have to please the format, but I don't want to. But in disputes, new ideas, music, approach, in the end, are born.
