Eternally charming Valery Syutkin: biography and personal life. Valery Syutkin: “Now Viola and I know what feelings we have to fight for Where Syutkin sang

24.06.2019

Valery Miladovich Syutkin. Born March 22, 1958 in Moscow. Soviet and Russian singer and musician, TV presenter. Honored Artist of Russia (2008).

Father - Milad Alexandrovich Syutkin (1929-2010). A graduate of the Kuibyshev Military Engineering Academy (later taught there), a specialist in military underground structures, participated in the construction of Baikonur, built underground structures in Vietnam during the years of the Vietnam War.

Mother - Bronislava Andreevna Brzhezitskaya, worked at the Moscow Scientific Research Radio Engineering Institute (MNIRTI).

On the paternal side, all the ancestors of Valery are from Perm, where Syutkin is a very common surname. One of the ancestors was close to the famous industrialist and merchant Demidov. Many of the men in his family were lawyers.

It is known that Valery's parents met in a dance circle, where dancers from the ensemble of Igor Moiseev taught.

His mother and father separated when Valery was 13 years old.

"I had a good relationship with my parents. At school, I studied for one five, so as not to upset them. And when rock and roll began, my school success was sharply modest. My parents took it right, they did not put pressure on my freedom. I I am grateful to my parents for not forcing me to study at institutes that I didn’t like, for not imposing their views on things on me.

In middle school, he created his first group, which was called "Excited Reality". At the age of 14, together with his school friend Oleg Dranitsky, he wrote his first song "Today I will sleep in the cinema."

"Among the pillows, oh Allah
The wife lies in one watch
And nods to me
And I want Bridget Bordeaux
Her and no one else
I won't sleep with my wife anymore
Bridget Bordeaux, Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, -
This is what is needed
And nothing better to wish
How to relax with them
Today I will sleep in the cinema ... ", - sounded in the song.

As Valery recalled, the song, to put it mildly, did not evoke an enthusiastic response from parents and teachers, but among peers it had some success, like all the others that their school group performed.

Seriously began to study music in the early 1970s, participating in several amateur bands at once as a bass player or drummer. Playing in school bands, he sang the songs "The Beatles", "Grand Funk Railroad", "Deep Purple", "Led Zeppelin", "Slade", "Smokie". Once he replaced a sick vocalist. That's how I became a frontman.

Before the army, he worked as a cook's apprentice at the restaurant "Ukraine", as a loader at the Belorussky railway station, then there as a conductor of passenger cars for the western direction of the Directorate of International Tourist Transportation.

In 1976-78 he served in the army in the city of Spassk-Dalniy. There he continued to sing and play bass guitar at citywide dances at the local House of Officers.

The professional musical activity of Valery Syutkin began in 1980, when he got into the group "Telephone". “I graduated from a correspondence music school. But the fact is that I didn’t finish it at the call of my soul. It just wasn’t a prerequisite for working on a professional stage before. Do you have an education?”, I gave them a certificate: “And here it is!” So I'm a choir conductor... But I still have a lot of professions. I'm a bartender, for example, I can pour drinks. I also finished courses for cooks, although I hate cooking. Courses of toastmaster, driving a car, conductors of foreign communication, "he recalled .

Soon, the Telefon group became a professional touring philharmonic group, released the Ka-Ka album, which is a cycle of songs about invented characters Suleiman Suleimanovich Kadyrov and Lev Abramovich Cascade. The "telephone" lasted until 1985.

In 1985, Syutkin released the Twist Cascade album, where he was assisted (guitar), Alexander Belonosov (keyboards), Gennady Gordeev (drums) and Bravo saxophonist Alexander Stepanenko. In the same year, Syutkin moved to the group "Architects", where he sang along with Yuri Loza.

After leaving the "Architects" he created the trio "Feng-o-man", with whom he recorded the album "Grainy Caviar", received the Audience Award at the International Competition "Step to Parnassus" and worked for two years in the troupe, where he sang to the accompaniment of the orchestra " Range".

In August 1990, having received an offer from, the singer joins the group "Bravo", where he works as a frontman until May 1995.

The time of cooperation with Bravo became a period for the singer to develop his own original style, in which he works to this day. In the lyrics of his songs, he uses the slang of the "dude" subculture, and musically, he is focused on American popular music of the 1950s. In "Bravo" Syutkin recorded albums: "Hipsters from Moscow", "Moscow Beat", "LIVE IN MOSCOW" and "Road to the Clouds". All albums were certified multi-platinum. Songs from this period are still heard on the radio.

In 1995, Valery left Bravo (he came in his place) and created a group "Syutkin and Co", with which he recorded albums: “What You Need”, “Radio of Night Roads”, “Far from Everything ...”, “004”.

In 1995, the song "7,000 above the ground" from the album "What You Need" was recognized as the best hit of the year. Laureate of the professional award "Star" (1995), "Ovation" - the best artist (1996).

Valery Syutkin - 7 thousand above the ground

Since 2004, having updated and expanded the line-up of musicians, the band has been called "Syutkin rock and roll band".

In March 2008, the singer was awarded the title of "Honored Artist of the Russian Federation" for his services in the field of art.

Proved himself as a TV presenter. From 2001 to 2002 he hosted the Pyramid TV show on the RTR channel. From 2002 to 2003 he was the host of the musical television game "Two Pianos" (also on the RTR channel). In 2004, he was the host of the music program "And again the hit" on the channel "Culture". Since 2016, he began to host the Saturday Evening musical and entertainment program on the Russia-1 channel (together with Nikolai Baskov, Nonna Grishaeva, Natalia Medvedeva, Stas Duzhnikov, Igor Vernik).

In 2006, he participated in the Stars on Ice Channel One project, paired with figure skater Irina Lobacheva.

Permanent participant of the Cherry Forest festival. For a long time he has been the chairman of the jury of the "Muses of the World" ("Contemporary Art and Education") competition in the "Variety and Jazz Performance" nomination.

Cultural Ambassador of the Olympic Games in Sochi (2014). Participant of cultural programs at the Olympic Games: Seoul (1988), Athens (2004), Turin (2006), Beijing (2008), Vancouver (2010), London (2012).

In 2014, he filed a complaint with Roskomnadzor against the Lurkmore Internet resource, on which the singer’s image had been used for several years for the “Beat the Baba at the Ball” meme. Roskomnadzor filed a lawsuit with the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow against the site administration. In 2015, the Meshchansky Court of Moscow satisfied the claim of Roskomnadzor.

In 2015, with the Light Jazz band, he recorded the album Moskvich 2015. The album includes songs from the golden fund of the 1950s-1960s.

Personal life of Valery Syutkin:

Was married three times. The artist does not like to remember the first two marriages.

From his first marriage, he has a daughter, Elena Syutkina (born 1980), graduated from the Faculty of Law. Works for a foreign company. Granddaughter - Vasilisa (born in 2014).

From the second marriage - son Maxim Syutkin (born 1987), graduated from the Faculty of Geography of Moscow State University, works in the tourism business.

The third wife is Violetta (Viola) (born 1975), a native of Riga. They have been together since 1993. With Viola, he began a relationship while still married with a second marriage. For several months he lived with two families. Then the wife found out about the betrayal. He left her, leaving a three-room apartment and a car. The ex-wife never forgave him for betrayal, at first she even forbade him to see his son Maxim.

Regarding their acquaintance, Valery said: “Violetta worked as a costume designer in our musical group. The entire male half of the group tried to flirt with her! And so did I. But, like everyone else, he was sent to hell - she rejected my courtship for more than six months! .. I proved my serious intentions by my actions: I courted beautifully, was always ready to help. And the beginning of our relationship was laid by a kiss in a taxi, he literally predetermined my future fate! We were returning from a tour. It was early in the morning, we were riding in the back seat of a taxi and, exhausted from the flight, we slept while we were taken home in turn. In a dream, it so happened that our faces were close. And there was a kiss, as if in a fog. Realizing what had happened, we were discouraged. But after a while we realized that this was not all It's just that we can't live without each other."

The couple had a daughter, Viola Syutkina, in 1996. The girl was named after her mother: “My beloved woman, my wife, is called Viola. Our daughter is also Viola. Very convenient: you shout “Viola!” - and both respond at once! In addition, between my daughter and my wife, I make wishes that always come true, "the musician said jokingly in an interview.

Text: Sergey MARTYNENKOV for Viva magazine

Olga Buzova and cat Dominik.

My cat's name is Dominic. Five years ago, my friends brought it to me, they found it somewhere along the way. The little white ball turned out to be so charming that I kept it for myself. Dominic is a very well behaved cat with a wonderful personality, he always knows where the toilet is and never gives me any trouble in this regard. He just doesn't like being ignored for a long time. Maybe, offended, go to the farthest corner under the sofa and not go out all day.

For some reason, he is crazy about green lettuce salad and fresh arugula for some reason. At the same time, he does not like milk and dairy products at all. Dominic is very friendly. He always meets me when I come, and if I'm resting, he always lies next to me and warms me with his purr.
Once, after leaving for a long time, I once again asked my friend to look after the cat. When I returned, I could not find him in any way, I began to call her asking if she had taken him to her. When I received a negative answer, I became worried.

Moved the furniture, but the cat was nowhere to be found. In desperation, I sat in the bathroom and was about to cry, when a sly white muzzle appeared from the open washing machine. This is how Dominic punished me for my long absence.

Loya and puppy Alexandria.

My jackrassel terrier name is Alexandria, she is 3 months old. She is very polite, but does not like being stroked by strangers. She is faithful, since she considers me the only mistress, then she will never cheat on me in her life. I am sometimes afraid of her. Mostly she lives with her parents outside the city, but when I arrive, she jumps on me so much for joy that she is ready to knock me down.

I am going to get another puppy, most likely it will be an Irish Setter. True, he is not very homely. And yet, it scares me that I heard that they do not have an owner. In a sense, these dogs, like Labradors, love everyone around. Dogs are better for me than cats. Cats live on their own, and a dog is your true friend for life!

Valery Syutkin and poodle Juliet.

Juliet is a French Bichon breed, she is almost 2 years old. And it is absolutely girlish dog. For me, lapdogs are unacceptable, but when my beloved woman Viola brought this miracle, I really liked her. She does not smell, her hair does not climb, she is neatness itself and does not gnaw anything at home.

Small dogs are endless "taf-taf-taf" and importunity, and Juliet's self-esteem is all right. It seems to me that dogs, like children, give life a completely different volume. Here you are watching football in the evening, and if there is a four-legged friend nearby, then it is filled with some kind of extraordinary pleasure. This dog considers my wife his mistress.

By the way, there was not even any discussion about the appearance of Juliet in the house. When I returned home, I was simply confronted with a fact: such a small miracle ran out to meet me. Juliet is very good on the road, we call her "intourist", she has already visited us in Jurmala. Where, by the way, she turned out to be a very good swimmer. With a running start, it dived into the Baltic Sea - we only managed to open our mouths.

You just need to wash it often, but she perceives the procedure without a groan. Almost got used to it. Guests are treated kindly, but selectively. For example, a Labrador has such a minus: whoever beckons with a sausage, he will go with that. And Juliet is selective. For example, Timur Kizyakov came to visit us with the program “So far, everyone is at home”, she received the group well. And someone else will come - and it can easily turn out to be not very to her liking.

Zhenya Malakhova and Spay.

Spy is a jackrassel terrier. I got it by accident. Once I pasted a photo of a dog of this breed on my collage of desires. And after a couple of weeks, my parents and I suddenly decided to find a dog for me. We found a breeder, bought it, and then, when I took out my collage, I realized that the one in the picture and my Spy are the same dog. Since then, I consider that this is my soul mate. Let's say I'm a jealous person, Spay is also jealous.

I love attention and so does he. As soon as I enter the room, he jumps on the bed, although he knows that I will scold him for it. Nevertheless, he is a dog, and I do not allow him to climb onto the bed, I am quite tough in terms of education.

Spy considers me his bodyguard. Once we were walking down the street, and one dog started barking at me. Spy took and attacked her, despite the fact that he was a bulldog. This is how my Spay turned out to be - small, but remote!

- I admit that the youth, having heard the name Syutkin, will ask: “Who is this?” And that doesn't bother me at all. My audience is 40-50 year old people, and there are a lot of them. In addition, I no longer want the siege of fans that was during my time at Bravo.

I got into this super-popular team by accident. In 1990, he played in the Fen-o-men trio, we toured a lot, mainly warming up the audience at Boyarsky's performances. It was a period of unbridled fun and lightness of being ... On one of the free summer evenings, I went to the concert "Time Machine". I sit on the first row, next to it is Havtan: “Valerka, hello, what are you doing? Maybe you'll sing at the Bravo? I was stunned, at that time Zhenya Osin was their soloist, and I liked him, he looked organic in the team. Havtan says: “We broke up with him three months ago. Let's try?" And I, although I gravitated more towards rock, agreed. The Bravo group was a very popular group.

A couple of days later I arrived at the rehearsal base, taking with me a wide-brimmed black hat - for the image. I enter the hall, the musicians are already assembled. Zhenya Havtan immediately plays the motive - pum-pum-pum-pum and declares: "We need a song about dudes." And I wrote texts for the groups "Fen-o-men", "Architects" and "Telephone", but I did not consider myself a poet. I suggest: “Zhen, let's sketch the script first? What do we want to talk about?"

The plot was born immediately: “A handsome hero walks around Moscow, everyone around falls in piles - and the question arises: who is this dude? “Everyone will answer, everyone will answer ... Of course, Edik.” And all the dudes called themselves somehow pretentious. We wanted to add a little irony. “Maybe Petya or Grisha?”

And then our bassist Serezha Lapin says: “Vasya!” Havtan is horrified: “Not Vasya!” And I got hooked on the name: “Stop, it’s Vasya. Once there is a rejection, it means that the public will remember. And so a hit was born. At the same rehearsal, we wrote "Girl 16". I suggested not to philosophize, but simply to translate the Chuck Berry song “Sweet Little Sixteen” from English. And the fact that my knowledge of the language was not enough for an accurate translation, even for the better, because the text came out artistically meaningful. With these two songs and “Yellow Shoes”, in which I had to rewrite the text from the female (it was also sung by Zhanna Aguzarova) to the male, I suggested that Havtan go on tour in order to immediately understand whether they had chosen the right path. He is horrified: with three songs on tour?! But he agreed - there was not ...

And on August 25, 1990, we gave a concert in a tiny theater in the city of Sumy, where a hundred people gathered. And ... they tore it like Tuzik a heating pad. The success was overwhelming. Zhenya said: “There is something in this ...”

In order to thoroughly understand the style of music we had chosen, I bought myself a huge box of 1950s and 60s rock and roll records and studied them all in a month.

- You were immediately remembered by the audience not only for the lyrical timbre of your voice, but also for your stylish appearance. How was the image of a stylist born?

- In the course of the play ... Zhenya and I went to the flea market of the Tishinsky market as if we were going to work. And when they went on tour in small towns, they did not disdain commission shops. The sellers were happy when, after thoroughly digging through the rubble, we took away the stale goods - narrow shoes, coats with shoulders, short and wide parrot-colored ties ... They grabbed everything that they found interesting, no matter what size, hoping that someone in the group would come in handy . Our audience - this is a whole army - did not go to Syutkin and Khavtan, but to style. And concerts were perceived as an opportunity to show oneself in the first place.

- You sang in Bravo at a very turbulent time for the country. Surely the concerts were not without excesses?

- We had Oleg in the group, officially his position was called "specialist in public relations", and unofficially he was our bodyguard. Such a wiry, lean, broad-shouldered, outwardly similar to a Doberman. Once in Kazan, twenty people of local brothers ran into us. So he went out and alone decided the issue. He was recommended by our producer Evgeny Fridland. He said: "There is a smart guy from Kemerovo, he wants to work for us."

We invited him to a concert in the Rossiya Hall to meet and discuss the prospects for cooperation. And so, I remember, on the song “I am what you need,” such a two-meter cabinet climbs onto the stage, sits on a chair facing the audience and lights up. And then he shouts loudly: “Vova, do I look cool against the background of dudes? Take a photo of me!" I continue to sing, but what can I do ... Then Oleg appeared in the aisle. And then what I saw is hard to describe. He easily jumped onto the stage, walked past the kingpin without turning around, grabbed him by the nostrils and dragged him along. And all with one hand!

Five more ran out of the room behind them. When we went backstage, we saw the following picture: all six of them are lying on the floor, passed out, and Oleg is quietly smoking nearby. He knew a lot about wushu, jiu-jitsu and street fighting. By the way, we did not pay him a salary. He indicated his interest as follows: “Feed and take on tour. And on Saturdays I will rest. He really enjoyed our wild life. At that time, the Bravo group was a large friendly collective farm, enjoying life with might and main.

On the whole, the 1990s went smoothly. Several times we were thrown for money, but oh well. I won't say that we somehow chic. For the concert received little. But since they worked in “packages”, that is, they gave several concerts in a row, they could earn three hundred rubles, which they then quickly lowered in Moscow. More serious earnings began with the advent of Friedland. We invited him to become our partner, setting a clear goal - to make a breakthrough. Instead of speaking in the villages, 500 km from big cities, take Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kyiv ...

Havtan and I complemented each other perfectly. Zhenya is the most intelligent subtle composer, a shy person, and I am an energizer. The two of us made an explosive mixture. Friedland clearly said: “You can quarrel to the nines, but while I am here, you will work. Your tandem is a goldmine."

I appreciate and love Zhenya, it’s a pity that we couldn’t go through a long creative path together.

If he hadn’t been jealous of me for a solo project and hadn’t included a boss, we would still be able to perform together and compose wonderful songs to this day. But I can't be pushed around.

- The life of a rock and roll is hardly compatible with family values? What wife will like that in every city her husband has fans.

- It all depends on the relationship in the family. Lesha Savelyev, a sociable, cheerful guy, worked for us as an administrator. In any city, on the very first evening, he ordered dinner for us at the best restaurant, invited the finalists of beauty contests there,. At that time we lived to the fullest, tasting all kinds of fun. But this is annoying, at some point any man begins to want real feelings. I jumped at the age of 33 when I met Viola. It’s good that not earlier, because I already managed to draw the right conclusions.

- And those girls from your turbulent youth did not try to follow you to Moscow?

- It was a different time ... Our fans understood everything correctly: a young man playing rock and roll cannot be an exemplary family man. And already in the first minute of our acquaintance, everything was clear and understandable: today we are together, but there is nothing to think about tomorrow.

- You managed to build a family only on the third attempt, because before meeting with Viola you were already married, and twice.

- There were no attempts, only I consider my current family to be the first and only. What I am going to say now is not an excuse, but my perception of the past. My first experience of, let's say, cohabitation with women was determined by one thing: the social system and the conditions in which we all lived. Today's young people cannot even imagine that in the late 1970s and early 1980s it was impossible to spend time alone with a decent girl without proposing to her. We met, skipped a month, and they are already taking you to meet your parents ... And they look inquiringly from the doorway - well, when will you say: “I love your daughter and want to marry her”? Otherwise, they will take you for a bastard ... At that time, many people got married like that: if only society did not look askance.

As long as my life was dominated by rock and roll, male behavior was ugly. (With a smile.) Maybe in this way I was being prepared from above to meet the only love of my life?

I love Viola at the molecular level, at the level of smell, sound, touch. Her innate inaccessibility, sometimes cool aloofness, sometimes categorical, stimulate my interest. As well as impeccable style, beauty and dignity. As a matter of fact, at first I fell in love with dignity, because she took me, the king of Russian rock and roll, and sent me away.

- You said that Viola came to Bravo as a costume designer and told all of you in plain text that she did not intend to arrange her personal life here. Did you immediately realize that in front of you is the woman of your dreams?

“Our love story obviously started in heaven. I even regret that at first I told the press about the sequence of events. It felt like a broken record. The story is actually deeper! Therefore, I will say this: I don’t remember how it all started with us, probably, they poured something into my food. I woke up - I already live with such a beauty. (Laughs.)

- Let's write it.

- You know, I can’t even believe that 21 years have passed since then, because even today Viola is young, beautiful, magnificent.

When I put myself in her place, I don’t understand: why the hell did she need me? An unreliable ladies' man... I can imagine what her mother thought when she found out who her daughter had contacted.

- Considering that at that time you were officially married, your love story was clearly not easy?

- I lived as I wanted, they didn’t ask me questions and didn’t demand anything ... And it’s unlikely that I would change anything if I didn’t meet Viola. Men value well-established life and convenience. But at some point she said: "Stop, that's enough." And we tried to live separately. I didn’t succeed, I couldn’t, I needed her like air.

It was insanely scary to tear up an established life. But I did it in one minute. At that time I was reading Cortazar's The Hopscotch Game. And I was shocked by one phrase: "We do everything to isolate ourselves from what is called a true adventure." It was right to the point in relation to my situation. On the same day, as a decent man, I left home in what I was, and Viola and I started life from scratch. For a long time they rented an apartment on Kakhovskaya, then lived a little with my mother, but realized that this was not an option, rented again and a few years later bought their own apartment not far from Yauzsky Boulevard, where I spent my childhood.

A similar story happened to my older friend. He, a married man, fell in love and came to me for advice. Seeing that it was not a demon in the ribs, but real feelings, I told him this: “Get ready to pay for your choice and take a sip in full. Friends will turn away from you, because their wives, as a sign of solidarity, will not communicate with your new wife. But count on our support with Viola, because we know for ourselves that you have to fight for feelings. And now, for almost seven years, he has been uncontrollably happy. They already have three children. There were no children in the previous marriage. I also had to go through purgatory. For example, my friend Zhenya Margulis only recently began to communicate closely again, and his wife Anya began to greet Viola.

- What have you learned about family life in these twenty-odd years?

- The fact that you need to have personal space. For example, on those issues that relate exclusively to me, that is, my mother or older children, I do not consult with my wife and recommend that she not discuss these topics with me. And in the rest I concede to the wife. It seems to me that the secret of a happy family life is very simple: a man must be a knight.

- I lived as I wanted. They didn’t ask me questions and didn’t demand anything ... And it’s unlikely that I would change anything if I didn’t meet Viola 1993. Photo: From the personal archive of Valery Syutkin

“Sometimes they call them henpecked.

- And any normal man is henpecked. The one who can provide a beautiful life for his woman will be happy. Women are grateful creatures. And if they are treated like servants, then happiness cannot be seen.

I, like I, believe that only women and dogs give a feeling of fullness in life. And I live by the principle: “On! Take as much as you need!" I don't need anything for myself.

I have already lost many of my friends. Someone is unlucky, an accident, illness. Life is fleeting like a comet. And I came up with this theory: in order for me to feel good, I need to give everything to my relatives. Happiness is "on"!

And in general, I am already elderly and every week I fly by plane, you never know what ... All my earnings are managed by my wife and mother-in-law, who is my accountant.

- Many men are afraid to completely trust their wife: if something happens, they will be left without a stake, without a yard.

I have already reset my life to zero and have never regretted it. As long as I can hold a guitar in my hands, I will earn money for shelter and food. I'm humming my "Moscow beat" to anyone who wants to listen to it. From my youth I am sure that women's hearts are won only by generosity. It's not just about material goods. You women love men for their willingness to act, to make a decision.

When asked who is the head of the family, I answer like Woody Allen: “I do everything, absolutely everything in our family. And the wife, she just makes the decision.” Despite the fact that Viola and I are very different, when our daughter was three years old, she once said this: “Mom is beautiful and principled. And our dad is funny.”

- I can not help but ask: are your older children not offended by you?

- You need to ask them ... For the elders, I really was not a father in the full sense of the word, but I always appeared when my support was required. Lena is already 33, she received a law degree, she works as a PR specialist in a foreign company. Recently, she and her husband gave birth to a daughter. She immediately sent me an SMS: “Grandpa, congratulations!” My son Maxim is 27, he graduated from the Faculty of Geography of Moscow State University, works in tourism, a big-headed guy. Financially, I helped them until they came of age, put, so to speak, on the wing. Now they don't need my support.

Claims that I was little present in their lives are fully accepted. As a father, I am far from ideal, but I did everything I had to do. I didn’t say it, but I like the phrase: “I don’t blame anyone for anything, it just happened that way.”

I fully raised only one child - Viola. He was present at childbirth, walked along the boulevards with a stroller, ran to the dairy kitchen, checked the lessons and developed her talents. Although, of course, the most difficult in terms of education fell to my wife. It is I who will come from the tour and rush to my daughter with hugs: “My snow leopard, my bird, my sun, Violusya”, and she has to be strict. I am very grateful to her for this.

Our daughter will turn 18 in the fall. She studied in Switzerland for two years, graduated from college, and this summer entered the American University in Paris. Wants to be a screenwriter and theater director. But writing and directing requires rich inner peace and experience. So for now, in my opinion, she should get a general broad education.Europe in this sense is good, because the child has to show independence - no one will wake up and comb her hair in the morning.

It was very funny when, on the first day of being in college in Switzerland, Viola almost got expelled. It turned out like this. A friend invited her to her birthday, Tema Shulgin, son. Yosya Prigozhin drove for her, took her against receipt. And I brought it back only at two in the morning, to the closed doors of the campus ... Nobody knew that students should be in their rooms at exactly 21:00. Panic arose while Yosya was trying to solve the problem, the director had already called me and said that this was the first such case in the history of the school. Effective start...

— It seems to me that the secret of a happy family life is very simple. A man must be a knight. With wife Violetta and daughter Viola. Photo: Alexander Kudryakov

- When the girl was 10 years old, you released a collection of her stories. Do you really like your child's writings so much, or do you just think that he should be encouraged and motivated to succeed?

- Once Tanich asked the five-year-old Viola: “What is the name of the country in which you live?” - waiting for her to answer: "Russia". And at that moment she was drawing spring - the snow is so gray, the trees are blooming ... She raises her head and says:

"Winter Paradise" is our country's name. She has been thinking outside the box since birth. She began writing stories at the age of five. I like this one, I'll quote it verbatim. “Corsa is my dog. When they brought her, she was small, she thought that I was her child. When a dog attacked me once, Korsa attacked her. Why am I writing this? But because today is exactly a year since our Korsa died. But don't worry, my dears, you will be fine." For five years I collected all the leaflets and on her 10th birthday I published a collection of 20 copies. Viola had to write a foreword that killed me.

“When I started writing this book, I was very young, so there are mistakes in it. You don't have to pay attention to them, because fantasies have no limits, and poetry overflows.

When she presented books to classmates, one boy asked for an autograph. She ran up to me: “Dad, how to write an autograph?” - “Write“ From Viola ... ”I read in her eyes: it’s nice to do something yourself.

It is important for me that children grow up to be decent people who know how to work. Therefore, I encourage getting a good education, although, honestly, I believe that a woman should work when she cannot do without it. And if he can, then let him better deal with his beauty and the creation of comfort in the house.

Now I think: I'm a happy person! All my life I have been doing what I love, I sang along with Magomayev, Miansarova, Khil and even Sir Tom Jones. Recently, together with his team, Syutkin Band has found another field of activity: we hold holidays for good talented people. And my soul rejoices when I sing and see Pozner, Zhvanetsky, Galina Borisovna Volchek dancing in the hall ... They thank me - and this is the highest pleasure. In fact, it’s easy to be happy, you just need to make such a decision: “I will be happy” - and everything will work out right away.

I live with a woman that I love and with whom I want to live together until the last day, I have good children ... But I am already 56 years old, and I measure every year as one fifty-sixth of my life ... And time flies at a frantic speed - wow -y. At my fifty kopecks, a friend said: “My friends and I want to present you a penthouse, not for free, but with a big discount.” And then I remembered that I was already 50, and I realized that I did not want to spend the remaining years on the distribution of debts. And I tell him: “I would have taken it at 49, but now I don’t have time anymore.”

Now I began to understand that all dreams and plans must be measured with age. I will not even take as a gift a yacht, an airplane and other things that will pull me down.

My main toast today is this: “Life is short, so forgive quickly. Kiss with your loved ones slowly, love sincerely, make friends faithfully, have fun uncontrollably. And life itself will advise the rest.

Education: Graduated from the Faculty of Cultural Studies of Moscow State University named after M.V. Sholokhov

Family: wife - Violetta; children - Viola, Maxim, Elena; granddaughter - Vasilisa

Career: worked in groups "Telephone", "Architects", "Fen-o-men". In 1990 he became the soloist of the Bravo group. In 1995 he created the Syutkin and Co group, in 2005 - the Syutkin Band orchestra. Author of hits: “7000 above the ground”, “Vasya”, “I am what you need”, “Road to the clouds”, “What a pity”, “That's all”, etc. Sholokhov. Honored Artist of Russia

To date, he has 20 solo albums. The artist is also engaged in theatrical creativity - he puts on his own solo performances, and is also an active participant in the Olympic movement. Valery is a bright, positive, energetic person. Can't keep up with him. He says he could be a pilot. "Love, girls, simple romantics, brave pilots and sailors ..." - Syutkin has been singing for the second decade. He will turn 60 in 2018. But you can’t say at all: he is a young boy, easily soaring through life. And in this lightness of attitude to life is the secret of his youth. Correspondent website talked to the artist, and he spoke frankly about himself, his family and work.

Valery, close friends know you as a restless person who is always doing something, flying somewhere, then flying in, running, in a hurry ... How do you live in such a rhythm? Where does the energy, the desire to move all the time come from?

Well, firstly, I am a Muscovite - this is the answer to most of this question, because we have high speeds of life and cosmic energies. Muscovites cannot be called lethargic - they are used to such a rhythm of life. When I arrive in another city and they say to me: “And how do you live there in your Moscow?”, I counterbalance them by saying that everything is somehow sluggish for them. Secondly, I am energetic genetically. My mother is a very energetic person. Every day she goes to the Bolshoi Theater for ballet - to watch her favorite artists, she knows all the dancers and ballerinas by name. She is a devoted fan of this genre. Kolya Tsiskaridze calls her "Syutka's mother".

Do wife Viola and daughter Viola also live in the same rhythm or are they more calm girls?

Our whole family is nimble, including our beloved dog Juliet. We even call her Joo, because by the time you say "Juliet", she will already be in another place. Therefore, we have a family of high speeds.

What is the daughter doing? Did you say once that she lives in France?

We live in three cities. This is Moscow, the city where I work (girls also love it very much). It's tasty and fast. Then - Jurmala and Riga - this is the birthplace of my beloved woman Viola. I am the husband of an ethnic Latvian daughter. The mother-in-law is a real Latvian, Viola is a half-breed, and I figure like a sucker. In Latvia, as in Israel, nationality goes along the female, maternal line.

In general, I periodically raid Jurmala. And our third hometown is Paris, because Viola is studying there, soon she will finish her master's degree at the Sorbonne. She is a theater art historian. Where she will live after graduation, she will decide for herself. I, as a dad, try to give her the best, including a strong education, and I spare no effort or time for this. I consider myself a happy father and grandfather. I have a wonderful granddaughter, and Syutka's mother has found a great-granddaughter. My eldest daughter gave me a granddaughter.

Once upon a time you said that you do not communicate with your eldest daughter. Has something changed now? Have you changed your attitude?

No, it wasn't really like that. Maybe I didn't spend much time with the kids. But all the fateful moments - getting into a school, organizing admission to an institute, financing education, seeing off to school - I always did all this. And now all my children go to my concerts - everything is fine.

Do you maintain friendly relations with the mother of the eldest daughter?

No, why? I never return. Only children.

But there are different relationships, for example, they are friends with families.

No, I have only one love in my life. But I have three children. This is the answer to the question "How is my personal life?".

Valera, and who is the third son?

Yes, he is 30 years old. Viola and I have been together for 25 years, and this cannot be called some kind of third marriage - this is the only one.

In Soviet times, the generation loved for free and counted in the mind. Zinoviy Efimovich Gerdt said that while it only came to kisses, they remained there. Previously, they did not settle in a hotel together, if they were not scheduled. Such living conditions were adjusted to the relationship. And now everyone lives in a civil marriage. Both my son and the eldest daughter are in a civil marriage, and the youngest too. My daughter Viola has a gentleman from Germany. He came and we had a great time. They even planted a tree together at the Cherry Forest festival.

Tell us about your last performance at the House of Music...

I have two projects - one musical and one theatrical. The performance called "Rapture!", which premiered at the end of March, was held at the theater center "On Strastnoy", and maybe we will continue this.

I always do the production first, and then I wait for proposals. "Fix it" - this is what Andrei Knyshev said in his aphorism, and I agree with him. Fix the impression of the performance. Recently he gave a concert in the Great Hall of the House of Music. This project is called "Valery Syutkin and light dzass". There is an irony here: in English the word light means both "light" and "light" - both of these concepts fit the description of this concert. Alexey Alekseevich Kuznetsov - our legendary guitarist - the leader of the Light dzass band. We made both my hits and hits from the last century. Andrei Eshpay, Alexandra Nikolaevna Pakhmutova - in general, the entire golden fund of the national stage is close to our hearts. Delicately, but with a big smile, we sing our old songs. In recent years, I have been giving two or three major concerts in Moscow of rock and roll bands. This year, in April, the next concert will be in the fall. Therefore, on March 25, 2018 - on the day of my anniversary - you are welcome to Crocus City Hall!

I will not be flirtatious, I will say this: over the years, we all have a character that comes out on our faces. If you want to look young - do not envy anyone, do not waste time on unnecessary soul-searching - just enjoy life, be polite and easy in dealing with other people. And this lightness will be reflected on your face.

Is that your life motto?

I have two slogans. It's like in an interlude with the participation of Nikulin and Shuydin: "We have fun taking a log and having fun carrying it." And the second motto. I don’t have tattoos, but if I had, it would be like Mikhail Mikhailovich Zhvanetsky’s: “Try to throw a mosquito - it doesn’t fly where you throw it. No, it flies by itself and spits on you. You have to be light and independent. Mosquito is independent. Lightweight and independent. That's all my mottoes.

You have a happy union with Viola. Is there any formula for love?

In love, you can not say "give". That's when you say "on", then you will feel love. Love is "on" - receive, take. This is the only way for people to live in peace.

It is necessary to give love to your loved ones, not at all hoping for a reciprocal feeling. Just donate is all. And then everything will be all right. Then you begin to feel some kind of lightness and life shimmers with bright colors. Therefore, happiness is "on". Our main disadvantage is that if we give, we immediately begin to demand in return, and nothing will come of it. And I also like the way Leo Tolstoy wrote: "Happiness is pleasure without remorse."

I can't help but ask about the Bravo group, in which you worked for many years. Are you communicating with them now, with Zhenya Khavtan?

Well, we're colleagues. There is much less time for communication now than when we worked at Bravo. But we wish each other a happy birthday, if we meet somewhere, we shake hands with each other with pleasure and share the news. This is not a friendship, but a respectful collegial relationship.

What are your creative plans? Maybe a new album?

We release a new album every year. Getting ready for the anniversary. I always release vinyl first - I'm a big fan of this form. When you hold vinyl in your hands, this is a special aesthetic, in this regard I am a gourmet. And so - all 20 of my albums are on the Internet.

Valera, are you an active participant in the Olympic Movement? Where does this passion for professional sports come from?

As my friend Vanya Urgant says, Cheburashka and Valery Syutkin are the real symbols of our Olympic team. With my appearance in the support group of Olympians, I bring success. He only partyed about winning, never about losing. So I am somewhere between Cheburashka and Paul the octopus, although I do not participate in sports forecasts. I was at seven Olympics and only didn’t go to Rio - the team was not up to me because of the doping scandals.

Valera, you are so positive, bright, you live easily. One can only envy.

It is necessary to envy only white envy. Enjoy life. Tell jokes. Give kindness, love and light. Then everything will be fine.

Syutkin Valery Miladovich (b. 1958) is a Russian musician, composer and songwriter, performer, former soloist of musical groups Bravo and Syutkin and Co. Since 2008 he has the title of Honored Artist of Russia. At the Moscow State University for the Humanities named after Sholokhov, he teaches at the vocal department, artistic director of the pop department. Since 2016, he has been a member of the Authors' Council of the Russian Academy of Education.

Parents

His mother, Bronislava Andreevna (maiden name Brzhevitskaya), was born in Moscow. And my maternal grandmother came to the capital from the city of Balta, Odessa region. Valery calls her from Odessa and believes that it was on his mother's side that he got an innate sense of humor. Grandfather Syutkin never saw in his life, but, given his last name, Brzevitsky, he belonged to the native Polish Jews. Mom worked in a military closed radio engineering research institute as a junior researcher.

Father, Milad Alexandrovich Syutkin, born in 1929, was from Perm. In his hometown, he studied at a technical school with honors and was sent to Moscow for further education. In the capital, he graduated from the Kuibyshev Military Engineering Academy. After studying, he was offered to take up teaching at the academy, and his father agreed, so he became a Muscovite. Milad Aleksandrovich was a first-class specialist in military underground construction. During the Vietnam War, he went on a business trip to this country, where he built underground structures. My father also took part in the construction of Baikonur.

Syutkin's parents met at the dance club, where the teachers were dancers from the team of Igor Moiseev. Mom and dad worked a lot, so Valery's childhood passed under his grandmother's supervision.

Introduction to music

His conscious acquaintance with music happened at the age of eleven, and Valera remembered this moment very well. On some central television channel they showed the political review "Seven Days", which was hosted by Valentin Zorin. A screensaver appeared on the screen, where the Brooklyn Bridge was depicted, and music played. Little Valera just entered the room at that moment, and from the melody heard from the TV, goosebumps ran through his body. The boy then told his parents: "I will grow up and I will definitely learn to play this song on the guitar." He did not know then that it was the melody of The Beatles.

Valera began to learn to play the guitar. But the boys from the yard (mostly they were two or three years older than him) said that he was in vain interested in the guitar, it would be better if he joined their group and played in the evenings at dances. They just didn't have a drummer. Syutkin listened to his older comrades, put the guitar aside and began to learn to play the drums on his own. His training drum kit turned out to be huge cardboard hatboxes and metal Indian coffee cans. So he got into his first musical group, played on a kit assembled from pioneer drums. And the first listeners of Syutkin were Moscow youth on the dance floors of the Khitrovka district.

Parents were not against his hobby, because the Moscow district of Khitrovka was famous for hooligan punks. Around Valery they played cards, and petty crimes were committed, not to mention constant fights. But there was an unspoken law: musicians who play at dances are not beaten. And at least for this, my mother was calm and sure that her son would not come home with a bloody nose.

The initial goal of Valeria's passion for music is to please the opposite sex. It is known after all that in adolescence, when hormones begin to play, any guy wants to impress girls. To do this, one had to be an athlete, or very smart and well-read, or a musician. Moreover, the latter were valued more, because they could play rock and rock and roll that were forbidden in those days.

School years

When Valera was thirteen years old, his parents divorced. For the young man, this was a heavy blow, and only music saved him. Now he himself admits that, if not for this hobby, he could have gone down a hooligan path. Although he did not grow up as a cocky boy, on the contrary, he tried to act as a peacemaker in all domestic conflicts.

In 1973, after the eighth grade, during the summer holidays, Valery worked part-time at the Svet store as a salesman and consultant. Under labor law, the teenager could not work yet. But my mother’s friend, who was a seller in this store, agreed with her management that Valera’s boyfriend would work for her all summer, and she and her beloved man left for the Crimea.

Syutkin showed and told customers how vacuum cleaners work. For three summer months, he earned astronomical money for his age - 270 rubles. With this salary, he bought himself a real drum kit. In those days, it was not easy to do this, Valera went to a store on Neglinka opposite the Central Department Store, where he was brought together with very famous Moscow speculators. The guy bought Czech old and shabby drums from them and began to cut the repertoire of the Led Zeppelin group onto them.

Music captured him completely, Syutkin even began to skip school, although he studied very well until the eighth grade. In literature and other humanitarian subjects, it was still possible to somehow get out at the expense of the books read, and Valery always read a lot. But in the exact sciences, such as physics and mathematics, academic performance has declined. At the time of graduation from school, Valery had four “triples” in his certificate.

The beginning of the creative path

After Valera got a drum kit, he never took money from his parents again in his life. He played dances all the time, and not only at Khitrovka, their musical group began to be invited to nearby areas of Moscow. His passion for music brought a good income, but it was not a profession. Artists, poets and musicians were called at that time - free. In order not to be considered a parasite, Syutkin had to get a job and get a work book with official records, among which he has many jobs and professions - a bartender, a janitor, a loader at the Belorussky railway station, a train conductor, an assistant cook at the restaurant "Ukraine".

In 1976, Valery was drafted into the ranks of the Soviet armed forces. He ended up in the Far East in the air force, served as an aircraft mechanic. In the hours when he was not busy at the airport, he played and sang in the Polyot ensemble.

Returning from the army, Syutkin created a new musical group, which was given the name "Telephone". For about three years they worked underground, and since 1982 they have become a professional rock band.

The musicians performed compositions in the style of reggae, twist and rock and roll. Feuilleton songs, in which everyday troubles and problems were ridiculed, became their hallmark:

  • "Bon appetit" about food in public catering and Soviet canteens;
  • "The Ballad of Public Transportation" about constant bus pressure;
  • "Know ours" about the defeat of the Soviet football team.

The Telefon group performed under the patronage of the Philharmonic, toured a lot, released several discs (Ka-ka, Concert in Vladivostok, Twist-Cascade).

In 1985, the team broke up, and Valery moved to the group "Architects", where he was invited by singer and guitarist Yuri Loza. In 1986, the group was one of the five most popular musical groups in the Soviet Union. And already from the next 1987, after an unsuccessful performance at the Rock-Panorama 87 festival, fermentation began in the Architects. In 1989, Syutkin also left the group.

Valery created a new project "Feng-O-Man", but he was not successful.

"Bravo"

In the summer of 1990, the guitarist and leader of the Bravo group Evgeny Khavtan invited Valery to his team. Until that moment, they had been looking for a permanent vocalist for a very long time. True, they immediately had some disagreements about Valeria's hairstyle, he wore a rather impressive head of hair, and it did not fit in any way with the image of dudes. In the end, Valera corrected his hair to the standards of rock and roll.

The first song performed by the Bravo group in the updated lineup was the composition Vasya, which launched a new round of the group's popularity. And Valery first showed himself as the author of the text.

Following "Vasya", such musical compositions as:

  • "Hold on, dude!";
  • "A girl of sixteen";
  • "I am what you need";
  • "King Orange Summer";
  • "I'm sad and easy";
  • "Good evening, Moscow!";
  • "Star Shake";
  • "Express train".

And also a new wave of popularity began with the famous Soviet hit of the 60s "Black Cat". All these songs were included in the first disc of the Stilyagi from Moscow group.

The resounding success of the new Bravo team was associated with the romantic image of the dudes: wide trousers and a spacious jacket in which it would be comfortable to dance, tinted glasses, many multi-colored badges and, of course, a stylish orange tie, an entire song was dedicated to him, which became a hit .

In 1993, a new disc of the group called "Moscow Bit" was released. It included both slow compositions ("That's it", "Lunatik", "What a pity"), which were distinguished by elegance and lightness, as well as incendiary melodies for dancing ("Space Rock and Roll", "Polar Twist") .

Solo career

In 1995, Valery left Bravo and began to pursue a solo career, creating a new group, Syutkin and Co. They released albums:

  • "What You Need" (1995);
  • "Radio of night roads" (1996);
  • "Far from everything" (1998);
  • "004" (2000).

In 1995, the musical composition "7,000 above the ground" was recognized as the best hit of the year, Syutkin received the professional Star award.

In 2004, Valery slightly updated the team, expanding the line-up and changing the name to Syutkin Rock and Roll Band.

Two of his songs ("Minibus" and "Moscow-Neva") brought the singer awards - the Golden Gramophone.

off stage

Valery looks very young, although, according to the singer himself, everything is according to his age, and in some places it hurts, and something plays pranks. Simply, according to Syutkin, over the years, a person’s character traits appear on his face. And since Valery has a very light, cheerful and good-natured character, his face is not burdened with worries and problems, due to which it seems young and fresh.

Syutkin can often be seen on Russian television:

  • He was the host of the musical programs “And again a hit” (Culture channel) and “Two pianos” (RTR).
  • In 2006, he began to skate and took part in the show of the First Channel "Stars on Ice", his partner was figure skater Irina Lobacheva.
  • Since 2016, he has been the host of the entertainment music program on the Russia-1 channel "Saturday Evening".

Valery does not recognize communication on the Internet, he uses it to view posters and news. Reads a lot. Among his favorite books are:

  • novel by American writer Joseph Heller "Catch 22";
  • novel by the German playwright Patrick Suskind "Perfume";
  • the works of American satirist Kurt Vonnegut and Brazilian prose writer Paulo Coelho.

Among Russian writers, he likes Mikhail Bulgakov and Viktor Pelevin the most. Already in adulthood, I re-read Turgenev and Dostoevsky, because at one time the school curriculum repulsed my love for Russian literature. She loves all the works of Ilf and Petrov, Mikhail Zhvanetsky.

If he has little work and concerts, the singer devotes this time to travel. He tries to live for today and enjoy life, focuses not on material, but on personal values - family and soul. His main goals in life are to work, have fun, enjoy every day and raise children.

Personal life

The singer was married three times. From the first marital relationship in 1980, a daughter, Elena, was born, who in 2014 made Valery a grandfather, giving her granddaughter Vasilisa.
In the second marriage in 1987, Syutkin had a son, Maxim, he is engaged in the tourism business.

In 1993, Valery met his third wife, Viola, who came to the Bravo group to work as a costume designer. She is seventeen years younger than Syutkin, but the age difference did not prevent their marriage from becoming happy and long.

In 1996, a girl was born to Valery and Viola, who was given exactly the same name as her mother. The singer jokes that since then, complete violism has reigned in his house. The daughter has already graduated from college in Switzerland and is now studying at the American University in Paris.
