The influence of music on the human psyche: rock, pop, jazz and classical - what, when and why to listen? The influence of rock music on the psychological state of a person.

A person's intelligence depends on what kind of music he listens to ... While other scientists are exploring proper nutrition for weight loss, the mysterious "British scientists" made a sensational statement that the IQ (IQ) directly depends on what style of music a person likes. Everyone knows that the level of intelligence, which was invented long ago to be measured using the IQ (intelligence quotient) coefficient, depends on musical preferences. Scientists selected subjects with whom they conducted a series of tests and surveys. The main essence of the research was to determine which styles of music negatively affect the mental abilities of a person. Most likely, British scientists entered into a conspiracy with the parents of rebellious teenagers, since the list of potentially dangerous for the intellect includes the most common and beloved by young people. By the way, scientists quickly identified a curious trend with the help of tests. The lowest scores in IQ tests were shown by those who have been fond of hip-hop and r'n'b for many years. Thus, rappers were called the most "close-minded" among all the subjects. For tests, a classic questionnaire was used to determine IQ, and according to a traditional test according to the school curriculum, fundamental general educational material was included there. Their peers, who prefer classical and symphonic music, had higher rates. To the great chagrin of parents, THOSE KIDS WHO LIKE HEAVY MUSIC AND ROCK HAVE ONE OF THE HIGHEST INDICATORS OF INTELLIGENCE. There is a very close relationship between people's musical preferences and different personality types, according to British psychologists who interviewed 36,000 people from around the world. This study is considered the largest ever conducted. Judging by its results, classical music lovers are timid and shy, while heavy metal fans are kind and laid-back. During the study, scientists interviewed 36,000 people from around the world. They had to place 104 musical styles in order of personal preference and answer questions to determine their character. Some of the results of the study were unexpected for scientists: “One of the facts that surprised us the most is that people who love classical music and heavy metal are very similar. Both those and others are creative and laid-back personalities, but not very sociable,” says one of the professors. “In society, there is a stereotype of a hard rock fan as a person who is in a deep depression with a tendency to suicide, it is generally accepted that rockers are dangerous elements of society. In fact, they are harmless, and even beneficial to society as a whole. These are very subtle natures, ”adds the scientist. Musical styles and characteristic traits of their fans:

Rock increases intelligence, however, if it sounds softly. This conclusion was made by physiologists from the Institute of Higher Nervous Activity and Neurophysiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, having studied the effect of music on brain function. According to the institute, a group of volunteers aged 22 to 47 took part in the study. Volunteers listened to classical music (Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, etc.) and rock music (including those performed by the Rolling Stones) with headphones on. And in parallel, the subjects looked at the monitor, recognizing what kind of pictures were shown on it. It turned out that under the influence of some pieces of music, people's brain function improved, while others worsened. Even the volume of the sound mattered. It turned out that the brain reacts to classical works in the same way as to solving problems or listening to texts. The thought process improves if such music is played loudly - in the range from 40 to 60 decibels. Rock stimulates mental activity and memory with a quiet sound - no more than 30 decibels. If you turn it on loudly, it increases emotional tension and anxiety, and also suppresses the intellect.

Do you still think that hard rock is music for gloomy teenagers? Or that calm and refined people prefer classical music? And pop music and R'n "B are mostly listened to by party-goers, lovers of fun?

Scientists have been studying the relationship between a person's musical preferences and his character, intelligence and mood for many years. Believe me, the results of their research can surprise you. Let's start with the fact that rockers ... These are sophisticated people with a high IQ. According to the results of various tests for intelligence and erudition, they overtook even lovers of symphonic music. And those who listen to pop music are hardworking and diligent. Unexpected, right?

In the not so distant eighties, rockers in our country were equated almost with Satanists. Gloomy guys and girls in leather jackets with studs instilled fear in the surrounding grandmothers and young mothers. Due to paraphernalia and the rebellious spirit inherent in rockers, a stereotype has become stronger in the minds of the townsfolk: fans of this music are dangerous, almost asocial personalities. They ride rattling motorcycles, rattle chains, drink alcohol ... In general, it was clear to everyone that a decent person should stay away from such a company and from their rumbling music.

Cultured and educated people were ordered to listen to classical music, in extreme cases - blues or jazz. Fans of simple songs “about love” and other pop music were treated a little more condescendingly, but they were considered loafers who could only go to dances.
Another common opinion was that cheerful music cheers you up, while sad and gloomy melodies, on the contrary, drive you into depression. This myth still lives on. Try confessing to friends and family that you're in a bad mood, depressed, or in trouble on the love front - and then turn on a tearful song. There will definitely be a person who will tell you: “Why are you poisoning your soul, turn on something more fun!”.

All of the above are examples of various stereotypes about the connection between the music that a person listens to, his lifestyle and character. At some point, scientists became interested in the issue. They decided to check whether there really is a relationship between music and character, emotional state, and even - what the hell is not joking - the level of intelligence of its listeners. And if so, which one? The results of their research were a big surprise.

The fact that music really affects the mood is hardly surprising. But not everyone knows that it is not recommended to listen to major melodies in a bad mood. No, there is, of course, a certain category of people whom this really helps - but there are not many of them. The fact is that the dissonance between the mood of the performer and yours can drive you into even more depression. But hysterical songs, oddly enough, in this state give a feeling of empathy. So if your friend is sad and listens to sad ballads about death and the vanity of life, do not bother him. Perhaps this is his personal way of therapy. As soon as he feels better, he will certainly turn on “Don’t worry, be happy.”

What about the connection between music and character? In 2008, scientists from the University of Heriot-Watt (Edinburgh), led by Professor Adrian North, head of the Department of Applied Psychology, decided to check whether musical preferences are related to the intelligence and character of listeners. During the study, scientists interviewed 36,000 people from around the world. To determine the level of intelligence of volunteers, classical IQ tests were used, as well as a list of questions on the curriculum of a comprehensive school. Perhaps the scientists colluded with their parents and decided to prove to teenagers that listening to heavy music and rap is not safe for their brain.
The results surprised the researchers themselves. There really is a connection between music and character type. But what!

“One of the facts that surprised us the most is that fans of classical music and heavy rock are very similar,” admitted the author of the experiment, Adrian North. To the delight of teenagers and to the chagrin of parents, fans of classical music ... and rock and roll showed the highest intelligence! Their scores were equal. What a gap in educational practice! Now you can’t say to your son or daughter: “Don’t listen to heavy metal, otherwise you’ll get stupid, turn on Mozart instead.”

However, as life shows, in adulthood, many rockers join the classics. But don't forget rock'n'roll. Not surprisingly, the characteristics of fans of both genres turned out to be similar. “Both of them are creative, laid-back personalities, but not very sociable,” the researchers say.

In addition, rock lovers turned out to be quiet, sensitive introverts. "There's a stereotype in society of the hard rock fan as being deeply depressed and suicidal, and rockers are seen as dangerous elements of society," says North. - In fact, they are harmless, and even useful for society as a whole. These are very subtle natures.

The most narrow-minded, alas, were recognized as fans of rap, hip-hop and R'n "B. They showed the lowest results in IQ tests. But, like reggae fans, they demonstrate an enviably high self-esteem and good communication skills. Jazz and blues lovers too They do not suffer from self-criticism. Their summary characteristics turned out to be: “Self-confident, creative, sociable and laid-back". Moreover, blues fans for the most part turned out to be also kind, but for some reason scientists kept silent about the kindness of jazz players ...

Classical music lovers were described as self-confident, creative and relaxed introverts, while opera lovers were described as self-confident, creative and kind. Those who love dance music, for the most part, turned out to be creative and sociable, but tough people.

Indie fans are said to be "low self-esteem, creative, not very hard-working, tough". Who would have thought, right? And listeners of reggae have high self-esteem, are sociable, kind, but not too hardworking. And the funny thing is that it was the pop fans who turned out to be the most hardworking. Only those who love country music can compete with them in zeal. In a word, the Soviet grandmothers were all wrong. Rockers are quiet and intelligent people, and "lovers of jumping in discos" turn out to be the most hard-working!

**************************
From myself I will add that since childhood I have been listening to rock and I am neither a fool nor a Satanist.

As you know, not every musical direction has a positive effect on the human body. Arguing about this pattern, we can take modern rock music as an example. This musical style has its own distinctive features or means of influencing the psyche:

1. Hard rhythm

2. Monotonous repetitions

3. Volume, super frequencies

4. Light effect

1. Rhythm is one of the strong ways of influencing the human body. Simple but powerful rhythms force a person to respond (movements to the rhythm), from ecstasy to hallucinations, from hysteria to loss of consciousness.

The Voodoo cult used a special rhythm that, with a special sequence of musical rhythm and incantations during pagan rituals, could put a person into a state of trance or ecstasy. A well-thought-out system of rhythms controlled the human body and psyche, like a tool in the hands of Voodoo priests. American blacks who adopted these rhythms used them as dance music, gradually moving from blues to heavier rhythms.

The perception of musical rhythm is associated with the functions of the hearing aid. The dominant rhythm first captures the motor center of the brain, and then stimulates some of the hormonal functions of the endocrine system. But the main blow is directed at those parts of the brain that are closely related to the sexual functions of a person. The drumming was used by Bacchantes to drive themselves into a frenzy, and in some tribes, executions were carried out with the help of similar rhythms.

The ability for analysis, sound judgment, and logic is no less strongly affected. It turns out to be very blunted, and sometimes even neutralized. It is in this state of mental and moral confusion that the wildest passions are given the green light. The barriers of morality are destroyed, automatic reflexes and natural defense mechanisms disappear.

American psychologist and musicologist Janet Podell writes: "The power of rock has always been based on the sexual energy of its rhythms. These feelings in children frightened their parents, who saw rock as a threat to their children and were, of course, right. Rock and roll and you able to make you move, dance so that you forget about everything in the world.

Particular attention should be paid to the influence of frequencies used in rock music, which have a special effect on the brain. The rhythm acquires narcotic properties when combined with ultra-low (15-30 hertz) and ultra-high (80,000 hertz) frequencies.

If the rhythm is a multiple of one and a half beats per second and is accompanied by a powerful pressure of ultra-low frequencies, then it can cause ecstasy in a person. With a rhythm equal to two beats per second at the same frequencies, the listener falls into a dance trance, similar to a drug. An excess of both high and low frequencies seriously injures the brain. At rock concerts, sound contusions, sound burns, hearing loss and memory loss are not uncommon.

2. Monotonous repetitions. Rock music can be described as monotonous, motor-like music, through which listeners can fall into a passive state. Through repeated listening, the ability to more quickly turn off and achieve a state of passivity is brought up. It may not seem at first glance to be a great danger, but the whole trouble is that the state of passivity and disconnection is one of the most important means of entering into communication with otherworldly forces. The defenseless audience is completely unaware that there is a deep invasion into the holy-holy of their being - consciousness and subconsciousness. Once in the subconscious, these impulses are deciphered, reconstructed, to be transmitted through memory to the conscious "I", having passed through all the barriers associated with the accumulated moral experience. The end result of such an invasion is suicide, collective violence, the desire to inflict a bloody wound on a partner with a razor blade, etc.

This secret of the subconscious is perhaps the main one in psychiatry. At one time, it was explained both by genetic memory and by the fact that supposedly any word, in addition to meaning, carries a hypnotic moment, but the mystery remains. It simply has to be taken into account as a fact.

3. Volume. Our ear is tuned to perceive normal sound at 55-60 decibels. Loud sound will be 70 decibels. But passing all the thresholds of normal perception, a sound of strong intensity causes incredible auditory stress. The sound volume on the site, where walls with powerful speakers are installed, used during rock concerts, reaches 120 dB, and in the middle of the site up to 140-160 dB. (120 dB corresponds to the volume of the roar of a jet plane taking off in the immediate vicinity, and the average values for a player with headphones are 80-110 dB.).

During such sound stress, the stress hormone adrenaline is released from the kidneys (adrenal glands). This process occurs in every stressful situation. But the impact of the stimulus does not stop and there is an overproduction of adrenaline, which erases part of the information imprinted in the brain. A person simply forgets what happened to him or what he studied, and mentally degrades. Not so long ago, Swiss doctors proved that after a rock concert a person orients himself and reacts to a stimulus 3.5 times worse than usual. When adrenaline is overproduced, it partially breaks down into adrenochrome. This is already a new chemical compound, which, in terms of its effect on the human psyche, is compared with a drug. This is a kind of internal psychedelic (mind-altering) drug, similar to mescaline or psilocybin.

By itself, adrenochrome is weaker than a synthetic drug, but their actions are similar. These are hallucinogenic and psychedelic drugs. However, the appearance of a weaker adrenochrome in the blood acts as an irritant, causing a desire to take a stronger dose, which is done right there during the concert.

4. Light effect. Such technical equipment of rock performances as light effect is also not harmless - rays that cut through the darkness from time to time in different directions and have different configurations. Many consider them just decoration of the concert. In fact, a certain alternation of light and darkness, especially to loud and chaotic music, leads to a significant weakening of orientation, a decrease in reflex reaction speed. At a certain speed, flashes of light interact with alpha waves, which control the ability to concentrate. As the frequency increases, there is a loss of all control.

Flashes of light, following one after another in the rhythm of music, stimulate the mechanisms associated with hallucinatory phenomena, dizziness, and nausea.

If a laser beam is used for lighting effects, it can cause:

retinal burn,

The formation of a blind spot on it,

decreased orientation,

Decreased reflex reaction speed.

A long time ago, the voices of doctors and scientists who tried to convey to the youth that rhythm, frequency, the alternation of light and darkness, the heap of sounds, completely taken from the ancient black magic societies - everything is aimed at the destruction of a human being, his violent perversion, at the destruction of all mechanisms of self-defense, instinct self-preservation, moral principles, were not heard by anyone. Today, scientists can only state with sadness that few people escape from the all-pervading elements of rock music.

It replicates the gray patterns of the worldview, controls how to dress, how to think... By these patterns, young people wake up, drive, have fun, study and fall asleep again.

So, the entire technical arsenal of rock is aimed at playing on the human body, on its psyche, like on a musical instrument. Music, which appeared among our youth, like an atomic explosion, like a disaster that came to our environment, turned out to be able to totally change the individual characteristics of a person. It simultaneously affects the motor center, emotional, intellectual and sexual spheres of human activity. It is impossible to expose yourself to rock for a long time and not get deep psycho-emotional trauma.

What are the consequences of the impact of rock music on the behavior of the listener?

As noted above, each sound or work has its own "auditory path" and the reaction in changing human behavior depends on this. If nerve cells associated with negative emotions are involved, then this is immediately reflected in behavior. According to the observations of psychologists, rock musicians and composers themselves know in advance how a rock concert can end.

The following are the possible effects of rock music on the human brain:

1. Aggressiveness.

2. Fury.

4. Depression.

5. Fears.

6. Forced actions.

7. A state of trance of various depths.

8. Suicidal tendency. In adolescents, this tendency begins to manifest itself from the age of 11-12, but when listening to rock music, this feature of the teenage psyche is provoked or greatly intensified at an older age).

9. Unnatural, forced sex.

10. Inability to make clear decisions.

11. Involuntary muscle movement.

12. Musical mania (the desire to constantly sound rock music).

13. Development of mystical inclinations.

14. Social alienation.

This, of course, does not mean at all that a person who passionately loves rock necessarily possesses all these qualities, he just has a much greater predisposition to them, and with an appropriate combination of other factors, he will certainly be subject to this influence. By the way, rock music can also change religious ideas and values (especially in childhood, when they are not yet fully formed), as well as stimulate in a person the desire for self-actualization, self-realization, individualism and exclusion in society.

Scientifically substantiated is the fact that not every direction in music has a beneficial effect on the human body. As an example of a negative impact on the psyche, modern rock music is often cited. This popular style has its own special distinctive features, namely a hard rhythm, monotonous repetitions, loudness, super frequencies, light effect. They are just not the best way to affect our body.

Rhythm is generally the strongest means of influencing a person. Even in ancient times, shamans could, with the help of certain musical rhythms, which they played on their instruments, put a person into a trance or achieve a state of ecstasy in him.

Why is this happening?

This is due to the functions of our hearing aid. Rhythm captures the motor center of the brain, stimulates certain functions of the endocrine system. But the most powerful blow falls on the areas of the brain associated with the sexual functions of a person. The drum rumble, for example, was used to drive oneself into a frenzy. Rhythm is able to influence the ability to analyze, reason, logic. You can even achieve that they will be completely neutralized.

In modern rock music, frequencies are used that have a special effect on the brain. The rhythm acquires narcotic properties, as it is combined with ultra-low frequencies of 15-30 hertz and ultra-high frequencies up to 80,000 hertz.
A rhythm that is a multiple of one and a half beats per second, accompanied by ultra-low frequencies, can cause ecstasy. A rhythm equal to two beats per second at the same frequency introduces a person into a kind of dance trance. Enumeration of both high and low frequencies injures the brain. There have been cases of concussions, sound burns, hearing loss and even memory loss at rock concerts.

Rock music, despite all its strength and power, belongs to the category of monotonous, motor-like sounds, perceiving which listeners can fall into a passive state. And the more often it is tapped, the greater this ability to quickly turn off and achieve a state of passivity.

Next, the loudness factor. Our ear best perceives sound at 55-60 decibels. A loud sound is 70 decibels. And on the site where the equipment and speakers are installed during rock concerts, the volume is 120 decibels, and in the middle of the site it is 160 decibels (it must be said that 120 dB is the volume of the roar of a jet plane taking off!). What happens to the body in this case? The adrenal glands secrete the stress hormone adrenaline. But since the exposure to the stimulus does not stop, the production of adrenaline does not stop either. And he, adrenaline, erases part of the information imprinted in the brain. A person forgets what happened to him or what he ever studied, that is, mentally degenerates.

Far from harmless is such an indispensable attribute of rock concerts as the light effect - those rays that from time to time penetrate the darkness in different directions and have a different configuration. For everyone - it's just a decoration of the concert. What is it really? A certain alternation of light and darkness to loud music significantly weakens visual orientation, and reaction speed decreases. Flashes of light, which follow one another in accordance with the rhythm of the music, stimulate the mechanisms associated with hallucinations, dizziness, and nausea.

For a long time, doctors, psychologists, scientists have been telling us that the rhythm of rock music, the frequency of sound, the alternation of light and darkness - all this destroys a human being, perverts him. However, today few people have not fallen under the influence of the elements of rock music.

Rock music imposes its own patterns of worldview, indicates how to dress, how to think... People limply live according to these patterns from morning to evening... This music affects the motor center, emotional, intellectual, sexual spheres of a person's life.

As a result of research, it has been established that as a result of prolonged exposure to rock music, the following conditions are possible:

  • aggressiveness;
  • rage;
  • anger;
  • depression;
  • fear;
  • suicidal tendencies;
  • unnatural, forced sex;
  • involuntary muscle movement;
  • lack of concentration and ability to make decisions clearly;
  • the desire for a constant sound of rock music;
  • social alienation.

Of course, no one says that if a person passionately loves rock, then he has the whole set of these qualities. No, he is simply the most predisposed to them, and when appropriate combinations of other factors appear, he will certainly be subjected to their destructive influence.

In our modern world, few people have not been influenced by the elements of rock music, especially among teenagers. And so we decided to conduct our own study on the impact of rock music on a person, using the example of students from school No. 12.

1. Introduction.

It's no secret that music plays an important role in our lives. And it is intended not only for entertainment, but has the ability to have a noticeable impact on the mental, emotional and physical state of a person.

Music is a flow of energy. It controls our emotions, mind, mood. Music is a force that can be used both for good and for evil. It is a factor that sets the direction of the development of civilization.

Even Aristotle said: "You should always beware of introducing a new type of music as a possible danger to the entire state, since a change in the style of music always affects the most important aspects of the political order."

In the 19th century the scientist Doggel described the specific effects of exposure to music, noting changes in blood pressure, heart rate, depth and rhythm of breathing. The outstanding psychoneurologist Bekhterev came to the same conclusions with a positive effect. Moreover, the observation concerned not only humans, but also animals. Academician B. Petrovsky, a famous Russian surgeon, accompanied especially complex operations with classical music, noticing the positive effect of music on the functioning of the body. And there are many such facts.

And, probably, each of us has favorite musical compositions to listen to at different periods of life, for different moods. Everyone has their own perception of different styles of music: someone loves the classics, but for someone it is necessary to hear hard rock chords. Nevertheless, science has established certain patterns of influence of various music on the mental and physical state of a person.

And today we want to tell you about the research we conducted on how rock music affects us teenagers.

The purpose of our work:

Learn, explore how rock music affects a person.

Tasks:

1. study literary and musical sources on the subject;
2 measure the blood pressure and pulse of students before, during, and after the sound of rock music;
3. conduct a survey of students;
4. process and analyze the results

2. The main part.

Rock music is a generic name for a number of areas of popular music. The word "rock" - to swing - in this case indicates the rhythmic sensations characteristic of these directions, associated with a certain form of movement.

It has been scientifically proven that modern rock music has a negative effect on the human psyche. Why is this happening?

Ways of influence of rock music on the human psyche:

1. Hard rhythm

2. Monotonous repetitions

3. Volume, super frequencies

4. Light effect

Rhythm is generally the strongest means of influencing a person. Even in ancient times, shamans could, with the help of certain musical rhythms, which they played on their instruments, put a person into a trance. Rhythm captures the motor center of the brain, stimulates certain functions of the endocrine system. But the most powerful blow falls on areas of the brain. Rhythm is able to influence the ability to analyze, reason, logic. You can even achieve that a person will be completely neutralized. There have been cases of concussions, sound burns, hearing loss and even memory loss at rock concerts. Rock music, despite all its strength and power, belongs to the category of monotonous, motor-like sounds, perceiving which listeners can fall into a passive state. Very often, it is the monotony and enumeration of high and low frequencies that the rock band Metallika uses.

A person forgets what happened to him or what he ever studied, that is, mentally degrades. Medical scientist David Elkin from the USA literally proved the deadly effect of loud shrill sounds by placing a raw egg next to the loudspeaker before the concert: after 3 hours, the protein curled up, the egg turned out to be soft-boiled. We offer you to listen to one of the most powerful and dynamic rock bands. Rock band "Lordi"

Not harmless and such technical equipment of rock performances as a lighting effect. Many consider them just decoration of the concert. In fact, a certain alternation of light and dark, especially with loud music, leads to a significant weakening of orientation.

2.1. Study

Our study: measurement of blood pressure and pulse in seventh grade students (8 people) before listening to music, during (10 minutes) and after listening to music.

You can see the results of the study in the diagram:

1) during the sound of music, blood pressure rises, and after the sound it sharply decreases;

2) while listening to rock music, the pulse quickens, and after listening it sharply weakens. Due to sudden changes in blood pressure and pulse, the heart rate decreases, the heart rhythm is disturbed. This can lead to disruption of the cardiovascular system, as well as. the rest of the organs are connected precisely with the cardiovascular system, then we can observe a violation of the functioning of the organs of the whole organism.

As a result of the survey (10 people), it was found that not all teenagers listen to rock music. Probably due to the fact that the brain compares musical rhythms with its own rhythms, and each person has rhythms with their own frequency, therefore, preferences for music are different. But when listening to rock music, most teenagers experience deviations from the norm: anger and rage appear, although while listening, teenagers set themselves the goal of relaxing. And any deviation from the norm, negatively affects the health of the body.

3. Conclusion

Thanks to this work, we found out that rock music has an ambiguous effect on the human body. And this topic can not only interest people and teenagers, but also allow them to learn much more about the benefits or harms of their musical preferences. For a long time, doctors, psychologists, scientists have been telling us that the rhythm of rock music, the frequency of sound, the alternation of light and darkness - all this destroys a human being, perverts him. Today, however, few people have not fallen under the influence of the elements of rock music. Of course, no one says that if a person passionately loves rock, then he has the whole set of negative qualities. No, he is simply the most predisposed to them, and when appropriate combinations of other factors appear, he will certainly be subjected to their destructive influence. And an alternative to the heavy negative impact of rock is classical music, especially the works of Mozart. Humanist scientists strongly recommend that parents from the first days of a child's life, even in the fetal period, let him listen to Mozart in order to influence all aspects of his development with a high positive effect.

Not all rock and roll fans are aware that this musical direction has a certain effect on our body. Have you ever noticed that when listening to songs, your heart rate quickens or slows down, or you become more aggressive, or, conversely, calm down? Studies have shown that rock music can affect blood sugar levels. But here everything depends on the individual characteristics of a person, since each of us perceives this or that musical genre in different ways. Let's try to figure out what impact rock and roll has on a person.

Rock and morphine: what do they have in common?

Medical experts say that obsession with rock music and constant listening to songs of this musical genre causes processes in the human brain similar to those that occur when using morphine.

It is also known that many musicians sin by using drugs. One part of them has long since died of an overdose, while the other is undergoing intensive treatment for drug addiction. From this, some researchers concluded that over time, rock musicians did not have enough music alone, and they decided to enhance the effect by starting to use various stimulants.

Undoubtedly, rock and roll fans will say that such a comparison is absurd, because what can be in common between music and drugs? But it is scientifically substantiated, since a lot of time and effort has been devoted to these studies. It is important to understand that when listening to music, similar processes occur in the brain, and not exactly the same, so no euphoria arises, and you don’t need to think that if you start listening to rock music right now, you will certainly experience unprecedented happiness or become addicted to drugs.

The influence of rock music on a person

Like any other musical direction, rock and roll has a certain effect on the human body. This is evidenced by the results of numerous studies that have been conducted for more than a year in this area.
