13.07.2019

The editors of Woman’s Day have collected the most significant facts from the life of one of the brightest semi-finalists of the Voice project.

Childhood and youth

The contestant of the third season of the project "Voice" Valentina Biryukova was born on August 31, 1984 in a military family, so from childhood she got used to constant travel. The singer spent her childhood in the city of Engels, in the Saratov region. There she graduated from high school, then music, and then entered the Saratov College of Arts, where she studied as a conductor, receiving a red diploma. By the way, at one time the famous Russian singer Alena Apina graduated from it.

From childhood, Biryukova wanted to sing, but she was an obedient girl and did everything as her parents told her to. She did not want to be a conductor, she was going to study vocals, but her mother did not allow it. When it came time to get a higher education, she was invited to study at the conservatory, but then she could not fail to justify her father's hopes, he always dreamed that his daughter would serve in the police.

Studying at the Ministry of Internal Affairs

Valentina entered the Saratov Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where she did not show herself as a promising law enforcement officer. Creative nature still took its toll. At the institute, she participated in student concerts and competitions. Once she took first place in the Student Spring competition. There was another competition, called "Charity of the White Nights", which was held in St. Petersburg. Valentina then sang right on the palace square among the officers and also took first place.

When she moved to the third year, she decided that she did not want to get the rank of lieutenant, and transferred to another faculty, where she studied as a simple lawyer, realizing that she did not want to connect her life with police service. There was a possibility that she would be banned from traveling abroad, and in her heart there was still hope for a career as a singer and tours around the world.

Moving to Moscow

When dad retired, he and his mom moved to live in the suburbs in the village of Puchkovo. Then Valya decided that it was worth transferring to correspondence courses and starting life the way she wanted. She understood that police work was not for her, and finally she dared to tell her parents about it. I immediately went to Moscow and got into the project "People's Artist". It was then that the target was clearly visible in front of me, and I no longer wanted to listen to anyone's advice.

Of course, she was bitterly upset by her father, who hoped so much that at least one of the three daughters would receive the title. Now, when the parents saw Valya performing on the Voice show, they calmed down a bit and began to think less about their desires. They realized what actually brings happiness to their daughter.

Before the show, the girl radically changed her image. On the net you can find several performances at various events. And everywhere she appears before the public as a brunette. But on the show "Voice" she came already a blonde with a short haircut. Thus, the singer decided to completely change her life.

The name of Valentina Biryukova has already sounded more than once in music competitions, festivals and shows. This performer in 2014 appeared on Channel One as a bright participant in the third season of the musical show "Voice".

Childhood and family of Valentina Biryukova

Valentina was born in the Moscow region in the city of Troitsk. Her dad was a military man, so the family often changed their place of residence. Soon they moved to the city of Engels, Saratov region.

She had a passion for music since childhood. She successfully graduated from music school. The first song that Valentina sang from the stage as a girl was called "Mom". She was once performed by Anita Tsoi. The excitement experienced for the first time during the performance was remembered by the novice vocalist for the rest of her life. It was then that she had a desire to become a singer, she realized that the stage is her place.

Valentina studied at the Saratov College of Arts, where she received a conductor's diploma. This school is notable for the fact that Alena Apina also studied here. The girl dreamed of becoming a singer and wanted to enter the conservatory, but her father always wanted her daughter to follow in his footsteps and join the police.

Therefore, after graduating from a secondary school, Valentina received a higher legal education at a prestigious university in Saratov - the Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (SUI MVD). After graduating from it, the graduate realized that work in the authorities was "not hers." The desire to engage in music and creativity never left the talented girl. Being a certified lawyer, she decided to follow her dream and entered the regional music school in the city of Saratov. There she became a conductor-choirmaster.

The first songs, Valentina Biryukova in the show "People's Artist"

Arriving in Moscow in 2003, Valentina was among the participants in the music competition "People's Artist". Despite the fact that the girl did not have much experience of performing on stage, although she was not among the winners, she managed to show herself as a performer with excellent vocal abilities and great potential.

Such a success of a young singer who recently arrived in the capital did not go unnoticed. She was invited to the group "Not a Question" as a vocalist. Today, Valentina has experience of performing not only in a group, but also solo performances.

At the end of 2011, Biryukova took part in another music competition, the name of which is “Bravo Armenia”. Her performance was more than successful. The contestant became the record holder in terms of the total number of points scored and received the Grand Prix.

Valentina Biryukova in the show "Voice"

We can say that the logical continuation of the musical career of the talented singer was her participation in the show conducted by the First Channel - the show "Voice". Despite the fact that the performer didn’t get into this music competition on the first try, the audience still saw her on Channel One during the “blind” auditions. Valentina presented a song to the audience and mentors, which is successfully performed by Elena Vaenga. The name of this composition is "Chopin".

Of course, each of the spectators gave his own assessment of the depth of performance, voice and other characteristics of the vocalist. Nevertheless, three of the four mentors turned their chairs to the contestant in the literal sense - from the first minutes of her performance. Only Pelageya did not turn around. It should be noted that it was to Pelageya that Biryukova dreamed of getting into the team. When the mentor's chair did not turn to Valentina, she realized that she would have to choose from male mentors. Since she did not have time and opportunity to consult with anyone, she intuitively chose Alexander Gradsky. Even after listening, the singer could not explain to herself what her choice was based on. She was so confused by the increased attention of the jury to her that she could not recover for a long time.

The next stage of the show was a duel competition. On it, Valentina had to "fight" with Alexander Bichev. The singer performed the song "Your Traces". According to the contestant, she did not hope to win, because she believed that the mentor would leave not her, but Bichev. Nevertheless, it was Valentina who remained in the show. After the fight, the main desire of the vocalist was the desire not to disappoint her mentor, not to let him regret his choice.

At the knockout stage, the performer again had a premonition that Alexander Gradsky would not leave her in the show. She managed to cope with excessive excitement, went on stage with a desire to enjoy participating in the competition. Ekaterina Shemyakina and Alexandra Vorobyova got into the top three with Valentina. During the competition, they all became real friends, they least wanted to be in the same trio. And yet - a competition is a competition, its rules must be followed. This tour was again not the last for the contestant. She successfully passed it and then began to wait for the results of the audience voting.

Of course, for further creativity, performances on stage, voice acting and so on, participation in a popular music show gave Biryukova invaluable experience. She will be able to apply it so that the audience will see the talented singer more than once and will be able to enjoy her performances.

Personal life of Valentina Biryukova

Valentina Biryukova is married. Her husband's name is Gor. They have been together for eight years. The singer considers these relationships ideal. In her opinion, the formula for family happiness lies solely in love.

A whole team of close friends and relatives came to support Biryukova on the project. Among them was, of course, the beloved husband of the singer, her sister and her husband and Valentina's vocal teacher.

- You were supposed to become a participant in the second season of The Voice, but the mentors managed to form teams earlier. Do you think this year-long pause was not accidental?

- I'm sure of it! I really needed this year: I realized even more that my main dream is to become a singer, to sing on stage, and I will do everything in my power for this. I have never practiced vocals professionally - I have a diploma as a conductor-choirmaster, but this is different. Now, behind the scenes of the project, for the first time I began to work with a teacher, we are practicing certain technical skills that help the performer. You can study at the university for five years, and then come to practice and understand that everything is new for you. "" gives something that is not taught in educational institutions. This is an everyday practice, a new experience, being in good shape 24 hours a day. , a very interesting person. It is curious that every time he offers me something, the first thing I answer is no, at first I see it in a completely different light. But Alexander Borisovich knows how to convince, proving that it really will be better this way.

- You are a lawyer by training. Did you work in your specialty?

I worked in the personnel department of my own university of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Saratov. I was offered a job in the police department, but I turned it down. That's not mine. I received a diploma so that my parents were calm. For as long as I can remember, I have always participated in vocal competitions, art shows, and performed at City Days. By the way, we lived next door in Engels, but since I am a few years older than her, and at a younger age it matters, we did not communicate closely at that time. But how happy they were to see each other at the casting of "Voice"!

You know, I just can’t get used to the fact that people on the streets began to recognize me. Every time they ask me to take a picture, I look around in surprise and ask: “With me, right?” And I hear in response: “Are you Valentina Biryukova? So, with you! (Laughs). This is something incredible!

- Tell me, can you consistently earn a living by performing and singing?

It builds differently. But I have a beloved man, a family - they are always ready to support me, including financially. Parents, of course, are worried, they say, the profession of a singer is unstable, it is very difficult to achieve success, they are afraid that I might be disappointed. And I'm not afraid, I will do everything in my power to achieve my goal.

- How did you meet your fiancé?

- Gore (he is a businessman, has nothing to do with music) saw me during a performance and, as he says, immediately fell in love. But at first we were just friends. They started dating in 2007. By the way, the first gift that Gore gave me was a trip to Thailand for the New Year holidays. We have been calling each other husband and wife for a long time, but we are not officially scheduled - for eight years we cannot find time for a wedding. (Laughs). Each time we begin to discuss that we can at least just sign, but then we come to the conclusion that it will not work to “get rid” of numerous relatives and friends in this way, which means we need to arrange a big and noisy holiday. And organization takes time.

- Where are you going to celebrate the New Year?

- At midnight I usually work, but already at one in the morning I am free and hurry home. Traditionally, all relatives, my sisters, nephews will gather at the table - we are always noisy and cheerful. In advance, we invite a designer who decorates the Christmas tree and decorates our house. Now it’s funny to remember, but my sisters and I (there are three of us in the family) believed in Santa Claus until the seventh grade! Parents always put gifts under our pillows - they wanted their daughters to believe in the New Year's miracle for as long as possible. The fairy tale became a reality when I once saw all the presents on the windowsill behind the curtain - my mother urgently made up a story that grandfather had dropped them flying over our house. (Laughs).
