Oleg Zhamsaraevich Yakovlev was born in the Mongolian capital in November 1969. Here, in Ulaanbaatar, Oleg's parents were seconded. They came to Mongolia with two daughters and returned to the Soviet Union with three children. Yakovlev's father is Uzbek by nationality, Muslim by religion. Mom is from Buryatia, a Buddhist. But Yakovlev was not happy that the audience saw the dolls, and not himself. Deciding to become a "classic" theater and film actor, he went to the capital.
In Moscow, Oleg Yakovlev became a student of the legendary GITIS on the first attempt. He studied with a talented teacher and People's Artist of the USSR. To survive in expensive Moscow, Oleg worked as a janitor. Later he got a job at the radio, where he was entrusted with recording advertising.
