I finished watching the Shippuuden series accumulated over several years. As expected, the filmed chapters of the manga are the most interesting to watch - much more understandable, voice acting, soundtrack, color and stretching additions give the story meaning and interest.
"Naruto" in general is an extremely sensibly staged show, having reviewed the mountain of anime, I can appreciate it. And with the financing of "Naruto" everything is more than in order - jambs in drawing are rather an exception to the rule, seiyuu work well.

The most common complaint about "Naruto" is the presence of fillers, which from 250 to 468 episodes are recruited as much as 107 episodes clean - this is not counting flashbacks about Itachi (Season 22: The True Story of Itachi ~Light and Darkness~, episodes 451-457), film adaptations novel "Itachi Shinden", and episodes, at least partially non-filler - even if there are two minutes from the manga in the series, the remaining nineteen minutes are one hundred percent filler.
What can I say - the filler on the filler is not necessary. Some were simply impossible to watch, but there were also gems that successfully complemented the main story.
Successful fillers are just as entertaining as direct adaptations of the manga - and sometimes even more because I've already read the manga. Sometimes such episodes fill in plot gaps (series about Aburame Torune, for example, 316-317), and their scriptwriters do what, in a good way, Kishimoto should have done so that the story does not turn out to be too concise, concise, but what does he need expectedly not strong enough. The principle of "accept the help of others, do not do everything alone" is the main idea that the history of "Naruto", that work on this story.

But this applies only to short filler stories, up to three episodes. Long ones are lucky, it depends on the scriptwriters, and the function of such fillers is different: they more fully acquaint you with the world of "Naruto", make you remember the main events and characters, and some heroes, only mentioned in the main plot, are given their own story. And, of course, they contribute to the development of the fandom - in long fillers there is enough fan service and character interaction. However, this is also in short fillers. For example:

- Gaara and Naruto from the crazy episode 377, most similar in spirit to "Gintama" ... more precisely, "Rock Lee's Spring of Youth". Series 376 keeps her company.

- Kurenai and Ten-Ten from Episode 428, along with Episode 427 revealing the Eternal Tsukiyami seen by Ten-Ten. This is the same universe as in the ninth film, so fans of the stern Menma instead of Naruto and the frivolous Sasuke with roses will definitely watch it, get a lot of fun.

Unlike short fillers, long fillers have way too much of what should be pathetic, but that doesn't work for me, bummer. And a lot of water. The end result feels the most like... rubber.
But long fillers are much less likely to look like their writers smoked something heavy, as in the story about Eta, for example (series 313-315), which, however, even became substantiated towards the end. Some of them are taken with a bang.

For example, the filler "In Naruto's Footsteps ~The Way of Friends~", series 394-413, about the chunin exam that the Konoha people were taking in Suna while Naruto was wandering with Jiraiya. Here's a good move with Fuu from the Hidden Waterfall, the Seven-Tails' jinchuriki that "replaces" Naruto in the exam. She is a bright character with the same values ​​as him, she also has an interesting speech feature (adds "ssu" at the end of each phrase), Fuu is also a jinchuriki, and she is a girl. And her village is lucky - especially for those who watched the OVA "Takigakure no Shitō. Ore ga Eiyū Dattebayo!", because the head of this village is the same GG OVA, Shibuki. The fact that filler writers give references to other fillers is more than commendable - it pulls the overall story together.
Women are also well represented in this filler. Let's start with the fact that among the teams of three people gathered for the exam, there are quite a few with two girls each: Choji, Ino and Sakura; three Sand teams: Yukata, Matsuri, Mikoshi; Sen, Yome, Shira; Sana, Saya, Mamushi. There are teams of purely men in fillers, as well as in the canon. But I haven't seen any purely women anywhere. Um.
But it looks like Sand's teams are more progressive... or it's all due to the more modern filler. After all, fillers are the only place where girls work out, as opposed to the ubiquitous guy workouts. Yes, and a lot of significant women in "Naruto" - filler.
One way or another, by the end of the filler got fed up, and therefore ended much earlier than, according to the sensations, it should have been. And the "turns" inherent in Kishimoto's manga were clearly not enough for the story. Like all fillers, however.

The filler about Kakashi's plight, "ANBU Kakashi ~Shinobi Who Lives in Darkness~", episodes 349-361, unlike Itachi's flashback, does not rely on a clear basis in the form of a novel (and it seems to be a very good novel), so it looks hard. Just from him there is a feeling of rubber, but since the character has been sympathetic to me lately, this filler can be sustained. Yes, and he fills a gap in the canon - now we know how Kakashi met Itachi and Tenzo. Slash in the studio!)))

Fillers about Eternal Tsukiyami are sometimes funny, sometimes poignant. In addition to episodes about Ten-Ten's dreams, 427-428, episodes 429-431 are also noteworthy - two about Killer Bee's dream, one about Karin's dream. The episode also reveals her past.
Karin has a terrible, nightmarish Eternal Tsukiyami. I feel sorry for her.
Note to Fikrayter: in the anime, not all characters were shown the Eternal Tsukiyami. I also liked the filler series about the Hyuuga clan (fan, whatever; episodes 306, 389-390) and about Obito (episodes 415-417). evoke sympathy for the character... in general, obito evokes sympathy. And fillers 460-461, 464-468 ​​are good - initially Kishimoto should have explained all this, but he simply did not have enough time. Although the attempt to "humanize" Kaguya did not delight me - would such a cool woman with superpowers really fall for a banal scam? .. And I don't understand her sons. In their place, I would have remained on the mother's side; this is all too similar to how patriarchy overcame matriarchy - with residual mythology in the spirit of "Hercules laid down the Hydra" as justification and exaltation. Kishimoto's Kaguya is exactly like this: it is an archaic matriarchal evil, without a human face. And Naruto with his harem jutsu deceives Kaguya in the same way that Tenji deceived her - with his own body, in kind.
I like Kaguya, she is interesting precisely as evil - ancient, powerful and emphatically "feminine", and perhaps not so evil. Kishimoto showed her only from one side, the animators, having humanized, secured for the male descendants of Kaguya the right to humiliate and remove her, no matter what. Two fillers from those that are more than three episodes long did not like categorically.
First, it is "Strength" (290-295). Filler characters are perfectly revealed here, Narut constants nervously smoke on the sidelines. I remember that on ZFB in the comments to one of the fics there was a beautiful bannshi, during which the question was solved, among other things: Sasuke would have become a canonical runaway asshole, if not for the death of his clan, the betrayal of his brother and a difficult past.
So the "Chronicles of Jiraiya" directly say: yes, I would. In this alternate version of the canon, both Naruto's parents and the Uchiha clan are alive. Frankly, at first it was interesting to watch: Naruto was the same cheerful idiot, but they didn’t hate him openly, they hid, because he is the son of the Fourth. The thought even crept into my mind: what if he and Sasuke change places? .. After all, there was such a hint in the ninth film, with Menma - that this is possible.
But no, nothing like that. Naruto is just as badass and Sasuke is, um, even more obnoxious than in the manga. In the manga, he is a controversial character, in the filler he turned into an unequivocal bastard, who is just freaking out with fat. Such a bastard Sasuke can often be found in fics, but in terms of the canon ... Hm.
Imagine Sasuke, who hates Itachi, the only one who treats him well in the family, hates Naruto, his only friend, and conflicts with his father to the point of open showdowns. Transitional age is a difficult matter, but such a disregard on the part of Sasuke makes it downright cardboard: he doesn’t care about anything except his “I”, there are no values ​​\u200b\u200bthat one could empathize with.
And the story eventually ends, ending with the confrontation between Sasuke and Naruto, who are about to fight.
From the good - this is a novel by Jiraiya, who sees in his Eternal Tsukiyami Tsunade. Very beautiful scenes with how she reads this novel - Shizune also comes to her, and in the last series Dan. But still - in the imagination of Tsunade from Jiraiya, a terrible writer who creates cardboard villains.

Still, in general, I don’t particularly like the Narut representation of women - but here it depends on the series. It's so-so in the original manga too: take at least the recently filmed mini-story "The Day Naruto Became Hokage", which I watched from [J] Mitsuki Senju. The story is cool and very funny, but... Hinata, after at least ten years of marriage, still calls Naruto "Naruto-kun"!

There are only 17 unfilmed manga chapters left. I wonder if the anime will reach 500 episodes, with such a modest baggage.
