08.03.2019

Snails are one of the most interesting insects. At the same time, absolutely everyone can understand how to draw a snail, because in this, in fact, there is absolutely nothing complicated. In order to clearly explain how to draw a snail to a child, it is worth showing him this insect itself or photographs in which it is depicted. This will help the baby remember the structural features of the snail.
Before you draw a snail with a pencil in stages, you need to prepare:
one). Black handle;
2). Pencil;
3). Eraser;
4). multi-colored pencils;
five). Sheet of paper.

After all those stationery items that are listed just above are prepared, you can proceed to figure out how to draw a snail:
1. Schematically draw the body of the snail and the outlines of its house;
2. Draw the body of the insect. To draw a snail with a pencil, you must know the features of its structure, otherwise the drawing will turn out to be unrealistic. For example, it is necessary to depict a pair of antennae, as well as a couple of antennas. The edges of the body of the snail should be slightly uneven;
3. Now draw the snail's house, dividing it into separate sections;
4. Depict the surface on which the insect is crawling;
5. Outline the image with a pen. Clarify some details, such as the cells on her body and the stripes on the house;
6. After letting the drawing dry a little, erase the preliminary sketch with an eraser;
7. Of course, you can draw a snail in stages and most with an ordinary pencil or with a pen. But the drawing will look more complete if it is still painted. For this purpose, it is not at all necessary to use colored pencils, because almost any paint will work well. For example, if you use watercolor for coloring, the drawing will turn out to be very delicate and at the same time quite realistic. Color the body of the snail completely with a light brown pencil. Then shade it a little with a red-brown tint. Then, in black tone, draw the cells on the body of the insect;
8. Shade the space under the snail with a dark blue tint. And then paint over the surface on which this insect is crawling with a light green pencil;
9. Color the snail's house. To do this, use colored pencils of various shades, ranging from brown and gray colors, and ending with green, blue and purple tones.
Now the snail drawing is completely ready! Having learned to draw this insect, you can teach this to your child!

Complexity:(3 out of 5).

Age: from the age of four.

Materials: thick paper sheet, wax crayons, simple pencil, eraser, watercolor, large brush, palette.

Purpose of the lesson: we draw a snail, applying our skills acquired earlier. Learning to draw spirals. We develop mindfulness and perseverance.

Drawing Lesson Materials

The most difficult thing in a snail will be drawing its house. It reminds us of a spiral. The difficulty lies in the fact that each subsequent turn would be at an approximately equal distance. To do this, the baby can practice by tracing the spirals over the points. See attachments for assignments.
Let's start drawing our snail from its house. We take a simple pencil, put a dot in the middle of the sheet and twist the spiral from the center.

The next step is to draw the snail itself. Eyes nose and antennae.

We take wax crayons, let the kid determine the colors. What kind of snail will he have? We decorate the little body and, attention, draw only the contour of the house and the spiral with colored chalk.

Berm watercolor and dilute the colors you like for the shell with plenty of water. To do this, use a large brush. The paint should turn out to be watery, so that when we painted the snail's house, the water rolled off the contour. If extra droplets have formed on the contour, then we remove them with a napkin, lightly dabbing.

For a beautiful and natural transfer on paper appearance snails must be adhered to step by step drawing.

So you can step by step to move on to other parts of the picture, in order to ultimately achieve a complete resemblance to a real snail.

Necessary materials:

  • colored pencils in yellow, brown and orange tones;
  • simple pencil;
  • black marker with a thin rod;
  • paper;
  • eraser.

Stages of drawing a snail:

  1. We begin to draw a clam from a figure in the form of a drop. It will contain the head and legs.
  2. Now on top of the first figure with right side draw a shell. At this stage, all curls should not be drawn. Just mark its general shape and the outer contour, where its base and the beginning of the curl will be visible.
  3. But already at this stage, you can draw a curl in the form of a spiral, which will pass through the center of the shell.
  4. On the first shape, which is teardrop shaped, draw two long diagonal lines on the left side and circles at each end. These will be the eyes of the snail. Also, a little lower, draw two more short vertical lines. Draw an arched line to the lower part of the teardrop-shaped body.
  5. We remove the lower part of the line of the drop-shaped figure with an eraser and connect the upper one with the arched one. This is the body that will be in the snail.
  6. On the entire surface of the shell we draw arcuate lines. We make a small distance between them.
  7. Step by step drawing snails in pencil form is ready. Therefore, you can safely pick up a black marker or felt-tip pen and circle all the lines with the selected material. Then, over the entire surface of the shell, we create the effect of volume and texture using lines. They should completely repeat the shape of the curls on the shell. It will also be good after that to give the texture of the body of the snail with small lines and dots.
  8. We turn to the transfer of shades in the picture of the mollusk. First, take a light brown pencil and completely paint over the snail shell with all its curls.
  9. With a burgundy pencil, we add volume to the shell on both sides of the curls over the entire surface of the shell.
  10. With a yellow and orange pencil, decorate the head and legs of the mollusk. Same yellow pencil Let's color the eyes.

Drawing with colored pencils in the form of such a mollusk as a snail is ready!

Option one

Snails always attract children! Of course, because they, like turtles, carry their house on their backs. You can draw a snail in different ways. The easiest way to draw it is from a side view, but it is much more interesting if you depict a snail from the front.

We'll start with the head. The head of the snail will consist, as it were, of two parts. The upper part is the area of the eyes and nose, and the lower cheeks and mouth. Draw a rounded head and two cheeks below.

Draw a chin at the bottom.

Draw a beautiful smiling mouth.

Now one of the most important parts - the eyes!

Between the eyes we draw an arc - a nose.

Above the head we draw antennae - just curved arcs and circles at the ends.

Let's draw the shape of the shell. To the left of the head, draw a curved arc and lower it down, slightly lower it to the left and return to the side of the head.

Now we will draw the body and legs of our snail.

It remains to draw a spiral on the shell.

Now you can start coloring. You can make a beautiful multi-colored shell, show your imagination!

Option two

You will start by drawing a perfect circle for the shape of his snail shell. Then draw two small circles for the eyes. You will add two straight lines and then the shape of the face will be drawn in next. You will finish this step by drawing out the slithery part of his body from the one shown.

Option three

Let's learn together how to draw a snail with a pencil in stages. It's very simple, just a few simple steps. Let's start drawing with the snail's house. Make an oval shape as shown in Figure 1.

Step three. We draw eyes. Gehry's are round, try to make them even. You can use a coin or other suitable object.

And finally, let's add some details to make it look like in the picture. That's all. This is how the drawing will look like:

Let's outline the contours:

Land gastropods (snails) are easy to care for and quite cute animals. Many owners of these mollusks claim that they are endowed with unprecedented intelligence, and it is a pleasure to care for them.

As pets, these unpretentious mollusks have been found for a long time, and on this moment- even more often. In a lifetime, everyone has seen these slippery bearers of the house at least once.

They met in different places: in vineyards, vegetable gardens, in the forest area, and soon they settled in the aquariums of every third apartment.

They have a number of advantages and features, namely:

  • Do not require large financial costs and time for care.
  • Hypoallergenic.
  • They are not carriers of diseases that are transmitted to humans.
  • Does not make any sounds (silent animals), does not smell, does not need to be walked.
  • Not whimsical in food.
  • Doesn't bite or scratch.
  • Does not spoil or stain clothes, furniture.
  • Rarely gets sick and lives a long time (up to 12 years).
  • Easy to carry, you can take with you on a trip or leave at home.

Appearance of snails

The body of each gastropod is formed from a trunk (leg and head) and a shell. The body of the snail serves as both a belly and a means of transportation.

The top of the body is covered by a characteristic fold - the mantle. The space formed between them is the mantle cavity; in freshwater representatives, gills are hidden in it.

Also in this fold there are streams of the kidneys, the excretory system and the reproductive apparatus.

In land gastropods, instead of a mantle cavity, as in their marine relatives, a specific lung was formed.

For breathing, they have a kind of hole, which is located at the edge of the shell.

In the upper part of the head there are horns-eyes, and in the lower part there are a pair or two tentacles, with the help of which they perceive the outside world, and a mouth with a large number of radulas (perform the functions of both teeth and tongue).

They have very poor eyesight (they react to the change of day and night) and hearing (deaf), but all this is compensated by the organs of touch and smell (a pair of tentacles), which help snails find food in the surrounding space.

The color of the snail is varied, it is the species relativity of the pet.

Mucus plays an important role in the body of the mollusk, because it protects the leg from damage and helps it to easily slide on different surfaces.

The shell of a snail comes in different colors, this variation is caused by the diet and the species to which they belong. Their "house" consists of the protein produced by them and calcium carbonate.

The shell grows throughout its life, so do not be afraid of their size. There are 2 common shell shapes: conical and spiral flat.

Usually the shell is completely smooth, but there are also species with characteristic growths on it.

Place of residence

The habitat of snails is scattered throughout the globe. They live in both temperate and hot climates.

The only places where snails are not found are areas covered with ice and waterless deserts. The main criterion for choosing their habitat is high humidity.

Gastropod nutrition

The diet of mollusks is varied and depends on the place of residence. Young individuals prefer fresh plant foods (vine and cabbage leaves, cucumbers, carrots, strawberries, etc.), with age, food preferences may change, and they may begin to eat meat, mushrooms.

Some species prefer to eat carrion. Oddly enough, but there are also predatory species that eat various crustaceans and small relatives, as well as various insects.

Marine species (geographic cone) eat fish, using a paralyzing poison to neutralize them.

Types of domestic snails

Lung snails are usually chosen for home keeping. Namely, the snail-coil, African Achatina and grape snail.

Let's analyze each species and consider a photo of snails.

snail coil

Looks like a shell this representative The gastropod is similar to a mini version of a ram's horn, its diameter is 40 mm maximum and its width is up to 1 cm.

The color of the shell corresponds to the color of the leg, the color varies from beige, brown to orange-red.

It has a conical body shape, with a pair of light-sensitive horns on its head. In nature, the habitat is in shallow water bodies, with a large amount of vegetation.

grape snail

Is enough major representative gastropods that live throughout Europe. The diameter of the shell becomes 5-6 cm. The shape of the shell is spiral, 5 turns are formed during the entire life of the mollusk. The length of the body becomes up to 7 cm. The color of the shell is from delicate cream to red-brown tones.

The whole "house" is covered with stripes of light and dark shades. In nature, they live up to 20 years.

resides this species throughout Europe and is a pest of vineyards. Young individuals are used for food.

African Achatina

This is the largest land representative of the gastropods. The shell is conical in shape, from 10 to 15 cm long, 9 turns are formed in a lifetime.

The color of the shell depends on the diet and habitat, usually it is yellowish, brown, red shades. The leg grows in length up to 25-30 cm. popular view for home retention.
