First, draw a circle. If you want smoother, this can be done with a compass.

    draw another smaller circle

draw an oval. this will be the eye

    draw the second eye

    draw a smiling mouth

    draw two lines

draw the corners of the mouth

    connect all lines

    should be such a smile

if you color it, you get such a smiley

It's probably very easy to draw a smiley face with pencils step by step.

To do this, at the beginning we take pencils, white paper and perhaps there is no need for a scheme)

At the beginning we draw the eyes of a smiley, then we draw a smile and that's it)

You can also draw another smiley. To do this, draw one eye, then draw the other eye as a comma, then draw a smile and a nose) we get a smiley that jinxes.

You can draw a smiley like this: first a sketch, then the details of the smiley drawing (round shape, eyes and facial expressions).

Also, step-by-step video instructions for drawing a smiley face will help you make the image right.

Emoticons are different. And if the author did not write his wishes. then I'll offer my solution. Let's draw a cool pepper). I really like this smiley. Such a courageous, charismatic)). draw. We need to take something round. For example, we can take a glass as a basis. We put it on paper and circle with a simple pencil. We have a preparation. Now, we need to outline the eyes, mouth in a circle. But the mouth is not simple, we will have it with a Hollywood smile. so, we draw the eyes with glasses, so they will not be visible. Draw two small circles and draw a darling between them. Next, draw a mouth with teeth. Let the mouth smile). Now we draw the handles. More precisely, we draw gloves, because the smiley has no handles themselves. Gloves can be depicted simply. Imagine your hand in gloves - there are no special outlines. Just draw one finger, second, third and fourth. For some reason, it is customary to depict a smiley with 4 fingers, let it be so with us. In the same way we draw the second glove. Coloring. That's all.

P.S. Almost forgot about the eyebrows. Let's represent them with an arc, for example.

And in order to at least bring spring and the sun closer, we can draw such a smiley.

Draw a circle again funny face and most importantly, draw the rays).

Draw a smiley face with a pencil presents no particular difficulty. Emoticons are basically round. There are just a huge number of emoticons today. Here you need to stretch your imagination a little. Draw the eyes, you can add small handles. Draw a smile and that's it. Although there are sad emoticons. Now you can color in yellow.

Smiley pictures are completely different. It’s not at all difficult to draw them, mostly emoticons are round and with a smile, since the word emoticon in translation from English is a smile. Let's draw a smiley here according to such a simple scheme

Good afternoon. As you know, there are a lot of emoticons, so the types of drawings can also be a large number of. Here is an example of such emoticons:

Sign one is a circle, and inside, depending on the type of emotion that we want to show, we draw different eyes and lips. For example, a smile is big eyes and smiling mouth.

Very simple. First, draw a circle, and then, with a line of proportion, separate about a third so that you can place your eyes on it, as you will see in the picture.

Everything else, in practice, is a matter of technique, since the emoticon has both eyes and mouth, in fact, if you look closely, they are semi-ovals, which you need to practice, display with high quality.

Otherwise, one dash to complete the mouth and two filled small semicircles for the pupils of the eyes, and we have a smiley.

The main line of proportion, draw with a pencil and not bold, so that later you can carefully wipe it with an elastic band and it visually would not spoil the drawing.

This easy tutorial is about drawing emoticons like the one on the right using Paint.NET. For drawing, you will need additional ones, the description of which is on our website.

Stage 1. Draw the base of the emoticon.

To do this, create a new image (by default 800 by 600 pixels), on which, in addition to the background, create a new transparent layer. On this layer, draw with the help of the tool "oval" with the type "solid figure" - a circle. In order for the circle to turn out even, you can hold down the Shift key while drawing. To draw the circle, we used the traditional yellow color for emoticons.

Stage 2. Let's create a highlight on the smiley.

First, select the yellow circle of the base for the emoticon, for example, using the tool " Magic wand". After that, create a new transparent layer, which will be located above the layer with the yellow circle. If the new layer is not where you want it, you can easily move it using the appropriate buttons in the Paint.NET layer control window. Now make the newly created layer active and squeeze the selected area a little on the left and right, so that we get an ellipse, as in the figure on the left.

Now, making sure our new layer is active, let's use the Paint.NET "gradient" tool inside the selection. The first (primary) color will be white, the second (secondary) color will be completely transparent, i.e. alpha transparency value will be zero. So, using a regular linear gradient, starting from the top edge of the image and stopping somewhere in the middle of the smiley, you should end up with a drawing similar to ours in the picture on the right (you naturally don’t have a green gradient arrow and a square with the image of flowers). we must have drawn them for clarity later). Now it remains to make the transition along the border of the glare smooth, for this we apply, without removing the selection of the area, additional. We have applied this effect with maximum value radius equal to ten. The result is shown in the figure below.

You can also make the yellow background of the emoticon base less uniform. To do this, you need to make the layer with the yellow circle active, and then, using, for example, the "magic wand" tool, select the yellow circle. We filled the selected area with the usual linear gradient, from top to bottom, using white as the main color with a transparency of 150 and the second complementary color absolutely transparent. The result can be seen on the right. The highlight layer and the yellow circle layer can now be merged, so that two layers remain: the background and, in fact, the smiley.

Stage 3. Eyes and mouth of the emoticon.

Now you need to designate the eyes and mouth of the future emoticon. To do this, create a new transparent layer on top of the existing one and using the same tool "oval" and "line or curve" draw a black base for the eyes and mouth of the smiley. It should look something like the one on the right. We created a new layer for the eyes and mouth so that it would be convenient to move or copy them. So we drew one eye of the smiley using the "oval" tool, and created the second by copying the first one, so that the eyes would be the same. Now the eyes layer and the smiley layer can be merged.

In principle, the resulting emoticon is already quite good, but we wanted to make it with transparent eyes, so using the "magic wand" tool, select the eyes and mouth of the emoticon and delete them. If you, like us, drew eyes and a smiley background on different layers don't forget to combine them before doing this as described above. The result should be an image similar to the picture on the left. For clarity of what should happen, we turned off the background layer and showed in the figure on the right only the content of the layer with the smiley.

Stage 4. Outline the smiley and make it voluminous.

Now we need to add pupils to the emoticon and circle it. We will do this on the layer with the smiley face. The pupils will be created using the well-known tool "oval", which we made black. Now, in order to circle the smiley, we need to select all the drawn elements on this layer. The easiest way to do this is "from the reverse": using the "magic wand" tool, select all the empty (transparent) areas of our image. In order to select several areas, you can, for example, hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard while selecting areas. Next, we invert the selection by pressing the key combination Ctrl+I. Now we have selected all the drawn sections of the layer. Let's apply to them from the set of external effect "Processing the edge of the selected area". The result can be seen in the figure on the left. We used a line width of three.

Now it remains to give the smiley volume. To do this, without removing the selection, apply one more of the set of external effect "Processing the edge of the selected area". For simplicity, we have used the default settings for this effect. However, if you experiment by changing the parameters, you can get different interesting results. It remains to come up with some kind of background for the emoticon we made. Let's make a simple two-color background by using the gradient tool and applying it to the background layer of our image. The emoticon we drew can be seen in the picture below.

This is an average lesson. It can be difficult for adults to repeat this lesson, so I don’t recommend drawing a smiley for this lesson for young children, but if you have a great desire, then you can try. I also want to note the lesson "" - be sure to try to repeat it if you have time and desire to draw today.

What you need

In order to draw a smiley, we may need:

  • Graphic editor GIMP. You need to download the free GIMP and install it.
  • Download brushes for GIMP, they may come in handy.
  • Some add-ons may be needed (instructions on how to install them).
  • A little patience.
  • Good mood.

Step by step lesson

Drawing characters from movies, cartoons and stories is much easier than drawing real people and animals. There is no need to adhere to the rules of anatomy and physics, but each character is unique in its own way. The authors created them according to special patterns, which must be repeated accurately enough. But if you want, when you draw a smiley, you can always make the eyes a little bigger. This will make it more cartoony.

By the way, in addition to this lesson, I advise you to turn your attention to the lesson "". It will help improve your mastery or just give you a little pleasure.

Tip: do it different actions on different layers. The more layers you make, the easier it will be for you to manage the drawing. So the sketch can be done on the bottom layer, and the white version on the top, and when the sketch is not needed, you can simply turn off the visibility of this layer.

When completing the lesson, please note that due to differences in program versions, some menu items and tools may be called differently or not at all. This might make the tutorial a little difficult to follow, but I think you can do it.

First, create a new 200x200px image with a white background fill.

Now using the elliptical selection tool create a circle on the canvas. For the circle to be correct form you need to hold down the Shift button. Create a new layer and fill the selection with brown or dark yellow.

Go to "Selection - Reduce" and reduce the selection by 2-3 pixels. The resulting selection should be filled with a gradient. For this, I chose the "Yellow Orange" gradient. In the gradient tool settings, make sure that the shape is linear, the opacity is 100%, and the blending mode is normal. Create a new layer and fill the selection with a gradient.

Go to "Select - Reduce" and reduce the selection by another 7-9 pixels. Change the foreground color to white and in the gradient settings select the Foreground to Transparent gradient. Create a new layer and fill the selection with a gradient.

Now you need to draw a smiley. To do this, we need to create a new oval selection inside our circle. Create a new layer and fill the selection with the same color as the first circle.

Go to "Selection - Reduce" and reduce the selection by 2-3 pixels. Create a new layer and fill it with white.

Reduce the selection by 1-2 pixels, change the foreground color to black, create a new layer and fill the selection with a gradient. After that, you need to set the opacity of the black gradient layer to 10-20%.

If the result satisfies you, then merge the three layers of the eyes together. Duplicate the resulting layer and use the Mirror tool to reflect it horizontally.

Even emoticons don't have eyes without pupils. To make the pupils you need to create a round selection inside the eyes, create a new layer and fill the selection with black.

Reduce the selection by 1-2 pixels, change the foreground color to white and fill the selection with a gradient.

Duplicate the resulting layer and use the Mirror tool to reflect it horizontally.

To draw the mouth of the smiley, create an oval selection below the eyes, create a new layer and fill the selection. in gray. I used the color #080808. Without removing the selection, you need to pass a soft translucent brush with black foreground color along the top of the oval, and white - along the bottom. After all the steps you need to align the mouth in the center.

I drew the smiley's eyebrows with the Paths tool. When I got the desired shape, I pressed the "Select from Text" button in the tool settings window. You need to create a new layer and fill it with black. To add volume, I painted over the top of the selection with a semi-transparent soft brush with white foreground color.

Now you need to make a copy of this layer and use the Mirror tool to reflect it horizontally.

If you want to create small emoticons, I advise you to immediately make them the right size, because Gimp's scaling algorithms leave much to be desired. I was able to reduce my emoticon to a size of 40x40px, and after reducing it, I had to apply “Filters - Enhance - Sharpen” to it with a parameter of 40.

Emoticons have long entered the sphere of our communication as a way of expressing our emotions. We put emoticons in in social networks, send them to SMS and so on. What is an emoticon? It's a yellow circle with eyes and a smile. If you suddenly need to draw it, then we offer you instructions explaining how to draw a smiley.

How to draw a smiley

  1. First, draw a circle of the size you need.
  2. Then we draw two auxiliary lines that define the level of the eyes and mouth.
  3. We draw the eyes along the lines outlined in advance. How to draw beautiful smiley? The expression of the eyes and mouth of your drawing will determine how it will be: sad, cheerful, or even angry. The eyes can be round, with a pupil in the middle, or crosses are sometimes put instead of eyes, such a smiley will be more schematic. Eyelashes can be drawn on the eyes. In general, all envy from your imagination.
  4. The mouth is usually drawn in the form of an arc - a smile. But you can also make a sad expression, then the smile will need to be reversed.
  5. Don't forget to erase the guide lines.
  6. Now we add color: paint over the smiley with yellow, and also paint the eyes and mouth in the appropriate colors.

As you can see, drawing a smiley is quite simple, but despite the simplicity of the drawing, you can add something of yourself to it, such as the expression of the eyes or mouth. It all depends on your imagination. Computer emoticons are faceless and of the same type, and emoticons drawn in pencil carry a piece of the artist's soul. So draw well.
