Forbidden Love or: Ronald Weasley's Secret List! Harry Potter's best friend.

25.02.2019

Fictional character and one of the main characters in the Harry Potter series of novels by British writer J. K. Rowling.

Ronald Bilius Weasley first appears in the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. and the Philosopher "s Stone), and becomes the best friend of Harry and Hermione Granger (Hermione Granger). He is one of seven children in a family of purebred wizards, whom, nevertheless, the Death Eaters consider "blood traitors" because of their sincere interest and sympathy their father to the Muggles.

Together with Harry and Hermione, Ron gets into Gryffindor (Gryffindor) and takes part in all the adventures of Potter. In the film adaptation of the novels, the role of Ron was played by British actor Rupert Grint.

According to Rowling, Ron was among the characters she came up with on the first day. In a sense, it was inspired by Sean Harris, Rowling's best friend, to whom the writer dedicated Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Like Sean to her, Ron is always there for Harry when he needs him. As a character, Ron hasn't escaped much of the "protagonist's friend" stereotype - he often gets into trouble. funny situations, is always loyal to friendship, and lacks many of Harry's talents, at least in the realm of magic. Nevertheless, he proves his courage over and over again, sometimes demonstrating unexpected talents - for example, in The Philosopher's Stone, Ron turns out to be an excellent chess player, which speaks of intelligence and the ability to think strategically.

Some of Ron's qualities are in direct opposition to Harry. If Harry is an orphan with a lot of gold in the ban

ke, then Ron has a big and loving, but very poor family. If Harry, who is known to everyone and everyone in magical world, would like to avoid someone else's attention, then Ron, on the contrary, dreams of fame and popularity. And if Harry turns out to be a very capable wizard and an excellent Quidditch player, then Ron in the first book appears as the most mediocre student of all the Weasleys and a bad athlete. Moreover, he is the sixth boy in the family, while his mother always wanted a girl. All these factors together form a huge inferiority complex in Ron, and the constant need to prove to himself that he is no worse than others becomes the main engine of his character development.

So what else do we know about Ron Weasley? The reader first encounters Ron at the train station when the Weasleys are helping Harry find platform nine and three-quarters, from which the Hogwarts Express leaves. Then Ron and Harry end up in the same compartment, and this becomes the beginning of their friendship - Ron is fascinated by Harry's fame, and Harry is crazy about such an ordinary Ron.

Ron is tall, skinny and awkward. He is red, like all Weasleys, and freckled all over, blue-eyed, with a long nose and big hands and feet. He inherited many of his belongings from his older brothers, including a pet rat named Scabber. The older brothers often tease him in a non-violent way and not really wanting to hurt him, but Ron tends to react quite sharply to their words. He is very funny and has a good sense of humour, but is insensitive towards others and is the most immature of the three main characters.

onage, but over the course of seven novels, this circumstance changes, and in order to grow up, Ron has to admit his weaknesses and overcome them.

Ron goes to Hogwarts with his older brother's old wand, but it breaks in the second book, and then Ron gets a new wand, 14 inches long, made of willow and with unicorn hair inside, which he is very proud of. As already mentioned, he has exceptional chess skills, and although this is rarely mentioned, Ron always manages to get out of his adventures with Harry without much loss, and then from fights with the Death Eaters, which speaks of the considerable magical talent of the younger Weasley and his excellent preparation. Like Harry, Ron is a member of both Dumbledore's Army and the Order of the Phoenix, and more than once finds himself in a deadly dangerous situations.

In Deathly Hallows, Ron loses his magic wand and takes Peter Pettigrew's wand, after which he shows suddenly increased abilities. In the Deathly Hallows, Ron generally has to grow up very sharply, however, like Harry, and only Hermione seems to have been an adult since childhood.

Ron's Patronus takes the form of a Jack Russell Terrier - this is Rowling's dog. Ron's birthday falls on March 1, 1980; his family home, Nora, is near a human village in Devonshire; and because he is a pureblood wizard, he is distantly related to all the old families, including the Blacks and the Malfoys. In the epilogue, Ron serves in the Auror. He is married to Hermione and they have two children, Rose (Rose Weasley) and Hugo (Hugo Weasley)

Ron Weasley
(frame from the movie "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone")

Ronald Bilius Weasley (eng. Ron Wesley) - one of the main characters, a young wizard from the books of J.K. Rowling about the war with Voldemort.

Appearance

Ron Weasley looks like the most ordinary young man with fiery red hair and blue eyes. Him a long nose, feet and hands, and the face is all in funny freckles. He is tall for his age, rather thin and awkward. Ron is always simply and modestly dressed, since his family lives honestly and without income. They even buy old textbooks for him. Ron is not handsome, but quite charming.

Personality and character

Ron is a responsible person. After all, it is precisely in those moments when he feels responsible for someone or something that his magical abilities. This is evidenced by the case when he saves Hermione from a troll with the Wingardium Leviosa spell, which did not succumb to him in a lecture. In an emergency, it always works flawlessly. Ron values his friends very much and is devoted to them. No wonder he risks all seven parts of the epic own life saving friends. Moreover, he puts friendship much higher than his own fears. And this is clearly understandable when he goes to the Forbidden Forest with Harry, although he is very afraid of spiders, because as a child one of his older brothers turned his teddy bear into a spider. Ron has a very strongly developed complex of a “second-class” person, since in the family the younger ones are often cited as an example of older ones, and they are all put together as an example of Harry Potter. Although Harry Potter does not distinguish himself in any way, Ron increased attention to a friend always infringes. He is very vulnerable, trusting and receptive, which is why he is touchy. And a vivid example of this is the case with the Goblet of Fire, when he did not believe Harry for a long time and believed that he had slipped his name into the Goblet by deceit, but did not tell him, Ron Weasley, his best friend. Contributes to the development of the complex and the poverty in which the young wizard lives: he wears clothes from which his older brothers grew up. And even at the Yule Ball, his mother sends him someone's old thing, vaguely resembling a ladies' nightgown.

Everything is over. Finally. Harry was standing right in the middle of the Great Hall, and about half a second ago the Boy-Who-Lived became the Boy-Who-Win. Here he sees how the crowd rushed to hug him. But that's not what he dreamed about right now. He dreamed of talking to three people dear to him. They were his two best friends, Hermione and Ron, and that was the girl he loved more than anything, that was Ginny. He came to his aid good friend- Luna Lovegood:
- If I were you, I would now dream of getting enough sleep, or just taking a break from all these eyes.
- I'm dreaming about it now.
"Put on your robes, I'll distract them," she said, beaming with a kind, if a little tired smile. - Hey, look, there's the Wrinkled-horned Kizlyak!
Everyone turned around instantly. Harry quickly donned his robes and made his way out of the crowd. He looked around the Great Hall. Somewhere in the distance sat the Malfoys, but no one even paid attention to them. Harry saw families reuniting everywhere. At the end of the hall, Hermione and Ron were sitting on chairs holding hands, but he would talk to them later. Now he needed Ginny. "There she is!" he thought. Ginny sat at the Gryffindor table with her head resting on Mrs. Weasley's shoulder. Harry crossed the Great Hall in a flash. He walked over, took out his wand, pointed it at Mrs. Weasley and cast a spell in a whisper:
- Shut up!
For a moment he thought Mrs. Weasley could still hear them, but he leaned in to Ginny's ear and whispered:
"Ginny, it's me, in the invisibility cloak," she flinched, but replied:
"Harry, is that you?" Why do you..
Come with me, we need to talk. To Gryffindor Tower.
- Okay, let's go.
They moved towards the stairs before Ginny told her mother that she would be going away for half an hour to 'get some air'. When they finally moved closer to the Fat Lady, Harry took off his robes and said:
– Can I log in without a password?
“Come in,” said the Lady.
Harry let them through and motioned Ginny into the boys' bedroom. She hesitated, but then she left. When they reached Harry's bed, he suddenly had a thought: "What if she doesn't love me back anymore? Maybe she already found a replacement for me. The girl is still pretty." This thought pierced his heart like a sharp dagger, he wrinkled a little, and broke the silence:
“Uh.. Ginny.. well.. well…..I wanted to..
"Oh, Harry, don't worry, be direct," she said with a hint of annoyance in her voice.
- Well .. In general. Ginny Weasley, I've been in love with you for almost 2 years now. During this time, a lot of bad things happened, but also a lot of good things. Don't be too mad at me for not dancing with you at Bill and Fleur's wedding, Ron was really mad at me for kissing me." All this time, Ginny kept a gentle and understanding smile, but when she heard the story about Ron, very much frowned. Harry marked it as good sign and continued:
- He said that I was brainwashing you and giving you hope .... In general, I still love you, and ... well .. if you .. well, you understand me .. If you already have someone another, you say so .. I'm all over ..
He hadn't even finished speaking when Ginny was so fast and so unexpected that he was so fast that he didn't even have time to understand. He reveled in such an unexpected surprise. She ran her tongue over his lower lip, causing him to groan involuntarily. One hand on her back, the other on her sweet-smelling hair. Ginny's lips became more demanding, and her fingers ran over his tousled hair. It must have been two hours, and maybe a day before they broke apart. Ginny beamed with a smile of happiness.
“Me too,” she said.
“What?” he asked, breathless after such a long kiss.
"I love you too, idiot!" She replied with a smirk.
"I need to see Ron and Hermione."
- Okay.
"I'm sorry," he apologized, noticing a certain dejection on Ginny's face.
- Nothing, go.
“Went to the Hall together?”
- Okay.
She cheered up a little when she heard that she wouldn't have to go alone. As their fingers intertwined together, they headed towards the Great Hall. As they approached the Hall, Harry quickly donned his Invisibility Cloak and said:
- See you in 15 minutes.
“Very well,” she replied, although her expression showed that she did not think so.

Ginny sees Harry, Ron and Hermione returning from the headmaster's office. Forgetting that the whole Great Hall was staring at them, including Mrs. Weasley, Ginny flew at full speed to Harry and hugged him very gently and lovingly.
Harry was surprised that Ron reacted to this with a smug smile. He didn't even look at them. He just continued to stand hand in hand with Hermione. It was only Mrs. Weasley's cough that made him embarrassed.
“Hm-hm,” hearing her mother’s dissatisfied cough, she immediately recoiled from Harry and answered:
- Yes mom?
- Now we are going to the Burrow, it seems to me that if we stay at Hogwarts, Harry will be eaten by curious and annoying students with their questions.
“Okay,” said Fred and George, who had just appeared out of nowhere. They immediately beamed with smirks when they saw that they had taken everyone by surprise. Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione looked at each other.
- Well, what are frozen? Let's go, - the twins answered their incredulous looks.
"You can transgress from Hogsmeade," Ron suggested.
"But Ginny can't be transgressed yet," Mrs. Weasley said.
"Pair transgression, I've done that before," Hermione suggested.
Mrs. Weasley gave her a displeased look, argued with Ginny, Harry, Ron and Hermione, but still agreed. It turned out that Hermione had outdone herself. She not only successfully transgressed with Ginny, but also flew there the very first. The whole family even patted her. Except Mrs Weasley. She still looked at her in disbelief, and then at her and Ron's hands entwined together.
It was already about six in the evening. Mrs. Weasley invited everyone to the table. The first toast was raised to the dead Tonks and Lupin. And the second for the fact that everything is finally over. Everyone went to bed much earlier. Ron and Harry were getting into bed when Ron exclaimed:
"I don't understand why she's so angry that Hermione and I are together?"
- Who?
Mom, who...
- Well, the fact that I'm with Ginny, she's also not happy with the campaign ..
- Okay, let's sleep..
There was a knock at the door. Standing in front of them were Hermione and Ginny in pajamas with pillows.
“Forgive us boys. But we were tormented by nightmares, can we visit you? Hermione asked. Ron and Harry looked at each other.
"Of course you can," Harry replied. He was very happy at the prospect of spending the whole night in Ginny's arms.
Hermione lay down on Ron's bed and Ginny lay down next to Harry. She gave him a happy smile as she met his eyes as he lay on the bed. She leaned towards him and was already almost a centimeter of his lips, so that their breaths mingled, and whispered:
- I love you.
To which Harry couldn't help but kiss her. He loved the taste of her lips on his. They laced their fingers together and fell asleep in their embrace.

In the morning, Ginny Weasley was awakened by a knock on the door and her mother's voice:
- Boys, get up.
Ginny saw that her lover was still fast asleep and decided not to wake him. She kissed him on the cheek and decided not to hide from her mother, with whom she spent the night.
Good morning Mommy, she said to her mother, who was still standing at the door of Ron and Harry's bedroom. And hurried to immediately retire to the shower.
"Tell me, Ginny, what were you doing in the boys' bedroom?" Mrs. Weasley asked almost screaming.
“Sleeping,” Ginny shouted from the shower to her mother, not at all embarrassed.
Just then a yawning Hermione emerges from the boys' bedroom.
“Good morning, Mrs. Weasley,” and heads off to the shower room to her friend Ginny.
"I hope you didn't do any obscene things tonight?" Mrs. Weasley yelled.
“Of course not, Mom, I’m still underage. Don't worry about Hermione and Ron, they didn't do anything either," Ginny replied calmly. "And yes, let the boys get some more sleep, Hermione said they haven't slept in a week."
"Go have breakfast," was all Mrs. Weasley said.
When they went downstairs for breakfast, Mrs. Weasley asked them to tell them in detail what they had with the boys. Hermione went on to tell them in detail how she and Ron had been arguing all through sixth year, but then Ron had finally stopped fooling around and asked her out on a date. Then she began to tell Ginny:
“Harry told me that in his fifth year, you know, in your sixth year, he was in trouble all year because of Ron. He couldn't confess his love to me whole year!! He was afraid that Ron would declare him a traitor. Yes, I love him from the first course!
"Really?" Harry emerged from behind the kitchen door with a sort of smug smirk and hugged her.
“Oh, well, otherwise you don’t know!” she answered him.
“Well, what about Dean and Michael Korner?”
Well, I just liked them. I was ready to leave them at any moment for you. And when she felt that you like me, she left Dean at his first misstep, - Harry leaned to her ear and whispered: "I love you" so that only she could hear. Those words sent goosebumps through her body, and she dropped her fork into her plate. Her cheeks flushed. Then they heard Mrs. Weasley sobbing.
- Mom, what happened?
"Mrs. Weasley, what happened?" Harry and Ginny said at the same time.
“Y-you matured so fast… You don’t t-think I’m against you, it’s just…. it’s so… unexpected.. I hope you’re not going to get married right away like Bill and Fleur.” ..
“No, no, Mom, we have to finish school!” Ginny tried to calm her down.
"All right," Mrs. Weasley said, wiping her tears with her handkerchief.
"What happened?" Ron asked just as he stepped into the kitchen. Then he walked over to Hermione, hugged her and kissed her hair, which made her blush.
“Nothing,” said Mrs. Weasley good-naturedly.
There were no incidents for the rest of the week. Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny were playing Quidditch or just laying in the clearing. There were times when Mrs. Weasley made them do some work, or they all walked together to Diagon Alley to visit Fred and George. The twins always greeted them warmly and showered them with discounts on all their products. True, they did not stay there for a long time, because a bunch of fans piled on the guys, and especially on Harry, eager to hear a story about the fight against the Death Eaters and Voldemort. So they immediately transgressed into the Burrow. This is how the week went.

First mentioned in the book Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

In the film series, Ron was played by Rupert Grint.

When Harry is lost at King's Cross train station, he spots the Weasley family heading towards the barrier of Platform 9 ¾. Later, Ron and Harry find themselves in the same compartment of the Hogwarts Express. The boys quickly found a common language and became best friends. Then Hermione Granger, a know-it-all girl, appears in the compartment, with whom they also unwittingly become familiar.

Harry, Ron and Hermione fall into the same house - Gryffindor. Hermione annoys the boys more and more with her omniscience, and it is Ron who offends Hermione and she hides in the toilet. Soon, Harry and Ron have to save Hermione from the troll, and they become best friends, and at the same time friends with the forester Hagrid. There, at Hogwarts, Ron becomes the object of ridicule from the son of the head of the board of trustees of the school of witchcraft and one of the supporters of Voldemort, Lucius Draco Malfoy.

Ron plays an important role in the search for the Philosopher's Stone. After descending into the dungeon where the philosopher's stone was kept, the boy becomes the main strategist in a chess duel with enchanted pieces that are part of the guard. He gets injured and cannot continue forward. However, Harry managed to defeat Professor Quirrell in a duel, with the help of which Voldemort tried to master the philosopher's stone. Thanks to Ron, Dumbledore awarded Gryffindor 50 points at the end of the school year ("for the best chess game in the history of Hogwarts").

Second year at Hogwarts

Ron appears in the pages of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets book two when he and the twins take Harry away from the Dursleys. Harry arrives at the Burrow, the Weasley's home, and meets Ron's father and mother. Soon, Ron's family and Harry arrive in Diagon Alley via Flying Powder and get to the presentation of Professor Lockons' new book. There, at the presentation, the Gryffindor trinity encounters the father and son Malfoys, and Lucius throws Tom Riddle's diary (one of the Dark Lord's Horcruxes) to Ron's sister Ginny.

Departing for Hogwarts from King's Cross Station, Harry and Ron were unable to get past the platform 9 ¾ barrier. The boys decide to take a flying Ford Anglia and take it to Hogwarts. The boy unsuccessfully tries to fix his wand, which was damaged during a collision between a car and a willow, using magic tape. And the most unpleasant case was Ron's attempt to curse Draco Malfoy for calling Hermione a "mudblood". Ron's spell hit him, and Ron had to regurgitate the slugs for a while.

Throughout the year, Ron, Harry and Hermione learn about the Heir of Slytherin and the open Chamber of Secrets and suspect Draco of this, and Tom Riddle's diary, which Ginny tried to get rid of, falls into the hands of Potter Jr. Once, on the advice of Hagrid, who was framed by Tom Riddle Jr. in connection with the murder of Moaning Myrtle, after the spiders, Ron and Harry wander into the very thicket Forbidden Forest and they find Aragog there. Aragog is a giant acromantula spider, Hagrid's favorite. He managed to escape into the forest and establish a colony.
