To Peter's amazement, the tests point to his new editorial boss. Meanwhile, Mary Jane invites Peter to meet her real father, who turns out to be Tombs. When the couple returns to their penthouse, Parker tells his beloved about his suspicions: Tombs cannot be trusted, because, most likely, he is the elusive Vulture. Mary Jane is insulted by Peter's accusations and leaves.
Late at night, technician Max Dillon is working in the laboratory of Electro Corporation, conjuring over a nuclear capsule. The Vulture bursts into the room, seeking to steal a miniature reactor.
