Deadpool (Wade Winston Wilson, English Deadpool, Wade Winston Wilson) is a Marvel Comics anti-hero character created by artist Rob Liefeld and writer Fabian Nicieza and first appeared in a comic book. The New Mutants#98 (February 1991]). Nicknamed "Chatty Mercenary", the character has a non-standard, extremely cynical sense of humor.

Initially, Deadpool acted as an opponent of the New Mutants, and then the X-Force, despite the love of Siren from the latter team. In 1997, the hero received his own comic book series, which became famous due to the main character's understanding that he is a comic book character. In 2002, after 69 issues and the death of the protagonist in an explosion, the series was replaced by a comic book about Agent X (eng. Agent X), which had the same minor characters, and throughout all 15 issues Deadpool was mentioned. IN latest issues he returned, but the comic ended in 2003. In May 2004, the series began Cable & Deadpool, which starred Deadpool alongside the mutant anti-hero Cable. This series ended with number 50 as Cable began his own New episode. In the summer of 2008, a new single-player series of Deadpool started, and in 2009 Deadpool appeared in the film X-Men: The Beginning. Wolverine ».

Biography

early years

ABOUT early years Little is known about Wade Wilson's life. His mother died of cancer when he was still young, and his father - a military man - brought himself to a miserable state. During these years, Wade was a brawler, until, while drinking with friends in a club, his father burst in and tried to take him out of the club, and then one of Wade's friends took possession of a gun and shot his father. After a short military service Wade, before reaching adulthood, became a mercenary. But he only took orders for those who, in his personal opinion, deserved to die.

Little is known about Wilson's mercenary activities. In Japan, he was hired by a crime boss named The Boss to infiltrate a sumo club owned by another criminal, Oukata. Wilson spent three years as a competitor under Oukata's patronage and fell in love with his daughter, Sazae. The Boss eventually ordered Oukata killed, but Wilson refused to complete the task and fled to the United States. In America, Wilson met Vanessa Carlyle, a young prostitute, and fell in love with her.

Deadpool and Department X

After discovering he had cancer, Wade broke off all ties with Vanessa. In Canada, he found hope - Department X - a special organization for the creation of weapons under the government of Canada. Wilson became a "guinea pig" in joint project United States and Canada on over-strengthening people. Wilson was included in the special group, which also included: the almost invulnerable Sluggo, as well as the cyborgs Kane and Slayback. After some time, Vanessa entered the same group when she was "inoculated" with the ability to disguise herself as other people. She took the name Copycat.

In one of the missions, Wilson killed Slayback. As a result, he was expelled from the Weapon X program and sent to the Hospice, where superhuman operatives were imprisoned. But also in it, without the knowledge of the Canadian government, these same prisoners were subjected to monstrous experiments by Dr. Killebrew and his assistant with sadistic inclinations - Ajax. They had their own gambling- “death pool” (eng. Deadpool), the subject of the bet in which was how long this or that “patient” could live. Wilson's willpower gave him great prestige among other "patients". Once Ajax, brought to the point of "white heat" by Wilson's mockery, performed a brain operation on one of his friends. Not without the pressure of Death, Wilson killed his friend in order to end his torment. But, according to the rules of Killebrew, the killer had to be punished in the only way - by death: Ajax happily tore out Wilson's heart and left him to die, but he was seized by such a thirst for revenge that his ability to regenerate increased by orders of magnitude, restoring his heart, although not healed his wounded body. Wilson attacked Ajax, killing him in a tit-for-tat manner, and fled the Hospice with a few friends. He has since taken the name Deadpool.

Eat alternative version, which is told in the movie X-Men: The Beginning. Wolverine, Wade was found by Stryker, who will continue to experiment, adding to him all the abilities that can "get along" in one body, including the regeneration of Wolverine and other mutants. At the final stage of the experiment, when scientists adapted the brain for complete obedience to commands, the project started prematurely. Later, after meeting with Wolverine and Sabretooth, he was beheaded, but thanks to his healing ability, he grew a new body.

Mercenary activities

After his escape, Deadpool briefly teamed up with the artificially altered criminal Hammerhead. But soon he again went to "free flight", wearing his new suit in order to emphasize his individuality. He was occasionally hired by Wilson Fisk himself, also known as the crime lord Kingpin. Also, Deadpool got to grips with Wolverine, who was then a Canadian agent. Also in the three years spent at large, Deadpool encountered Blind Al and, having defeated her, imprisoned her at home. The captive's attempts to escape ended in the death of those whose help she sought, leaving her no choice but to obey.

A few years after escaping the Hospice, Deadpool returned to serving the Canadian government, perhaps to heal the wounds Killbrew had left. He was examined and treated by Dr. Walter Langkowski, aka the Beast Yeti of the Canadian superhero team Alpha Flight. But after some time, Deadpool decided that working for the government did not suit him, and broke off all relations. Soon he was hired by another Criminal authority, Wizard. But Deadpool got the wrong address and got the job by pretending to be the Hobgoblin. When he contacted the Wizard again, he joined the Frightful Four, which, in addition to him and the Wizard, included Taskmaster and Constructor. However, as a team they did not act for long, and when they broke up, Deadpool made an attempt to get hired by the Kingpin, but could not stand the competition with Tagged. Then he began to frequent the club of mercenaries called "Hell's House", where a certain Patch issued tasks. In this club, Deadpool made new enemies - he fought with the killer-sorcerer T-Ray, whom he immediately disliked. He soon found himself a new "client" - Tolliver, a time traveler, under whose command he was reunited with Sluggo and Copycat. However, for Copycat, Tolliver had a special task that Deadpool did not know about - she had to disguise herself as another mutant mercenary - Domino. At the same time, Deadpool hired Weasel to provide him with weapons and quickly became friends with him.

After some time, Tolliver gave Deadpool a new task - to kill Cable, who was actually Tolliver's father and to whom Copycat was sent under the guise of Domino. However, Deadpool was unable to complete the task, as Cable was assisted by a "new generation" of mutants who called themselves the "New Mutants", but soon they light hand The cables became known as "X-Force". They killed Tolliver in a fight, and the advanced technology he used intrigued his former mercenaries. Deadpool also participated in their search, but he was prevented by Slayback who fell out of nowhere, cybernetically restored after being killed by Deadpool and thirsting for revenge. The battle resulted in Copycat being seriously injured, and Deadpool spared no part of his regeneration power to save her.

Deadpool also aided the X-Force Siren in her battle with the Juggernaut and her own uncle, Black Tom Cassady, who had none other than Dr. Killebrew under him. Deadpool developed a strong bond with Siren, which led him to begin to empathize with others again, though not in the same way he used to. Deprived of support under his feet, he tried to restore relations with Copycat, but she had already become close to Kane. Enraged, Deadpool got into a fight with Kane and Wolverine - he came to look after Kane at the request close friend. Then information reached Deadpool that certain individuals were looking for a cure for a virus called The Legacy. This turned out to be a trap, and Deadpool survived only with the help of Wolverine and another mutant mercenary, Maverick.

Some time later, Deadpool was overtaken by Zoey Silloden, who was in the resurgent team of Lando, Luckman and Lake; they believed that Deadpool was destined to become Mystras, who would help in Earth's Golden Age. But Deadpool was very skeptical about such an offer and rejected it. But the consequences of his mistakes fell upon him, which even led to the fact that his closest associates - Wizel and Blind Al - were increasingly alienated from him. He was haunted by the ghosts of his former Weapon X comrades, and when he killed Ajax again on their orders, he found that killing was no longer easy for him. Hoping for the best, he accepted Silloden's offer, but soon found that his sole role was the assassination of Tiamat, a potential threat to the arrival of the Messiah. Instead, Deadpool personally killed the Messiah when he found out that instead of real peace, he only brings a thoughtless, stupefying illusion of it.

Having lost all hope of self-improvement, Deadpool returned to his career as a mercenary. To solve your mental problems, he asked Dr. Bong for advice, who suggested that he try to resolve his internal differences by fighting Wolverine. This fight really cleared Deadpool's mind, but when he found out about the rebirth of Mercedes Wilson, his ex-wife, then his psyche suffered a serious blow. It turned out to be a sly move by T-Ray, who at the same time declared that he was the real Wade Wilson, hoping to finally drive Deadpool crazy. But he turned out to be a tough nut to crack, because, in spite of everything, he again believed that he could improve himself. In revenge, T-Ray killed Mercedes.

After some time, Deadpool accepted an order for Duncan Vess, but during this assignment, he again encountered Wolverine and entered into battle with him. But their fight was interrupted by the attack of Vess' henchmen, who himself turned out to be a werewolf, and, having defeated him, Deadpool and Wolverine parted quite peacefully. But soon a misfortune happened: during one of the missions, the Siren was seriously injured, and Deadpool vowed to cure her at all costs. He even teamed up with a group called the Watchtower for this and took Wolverine prisoner, hoping to trade him for helping the Siren. She was cured, and in the meantime, Wolverine easily escaped from captivity.

Deadpool once again went in search of a new place for himself. He rented a place along with old acquaintances, the same mercenaries as he is - Titania and Constructor. But under the mask of Titania was none other than Copycat, and their hideout was soon destroyed by the Wizard and Taskmaster - both of them were eager to take revenge on Deadpool. After that, Deadpool settled in a secret warehouse and even took on an assistant who called himself Deadpool Jr., but this kid turned out to be obsessed with the idea of \u200b\u200btaking revenge on Deadpool for participating in the murder of his father, and blew up the warehouse.

In the 2009 film X-Men: Inception. Wolverine" presents a non-canonical image of Deadpool. In the story, he is a former colleague of Logan, a member of Colonel Stryker's group. He was subsequently captured by Stryker's men and taken to his laboratory, where he became the subject of a series of experiments. As a result, he turned into a super mutant, which combined numerous features of eleven other mutants (for example, blades from his hands, the ability to teleport, a laser from his eyes, the ability to almost instantly regenerate), and became known as "Weapon XI". In addition, Deadpool's mouth was sewn shut (so Stryker kept his promise that he would silence him forever). Stryker unleashed it against Wolverine when he arrived to free mutants held in a secret lab on Tree Mile Island. However, his brother and enemy Victor unexpectedly came to the aid of Wolverine; Together, they dealt with Deadpool and threw his headless body into the cooling tower.

The role of Deadpool before transforming into a super mutant was played by Ryan Reynolds, and after that, in the battle with Wolverine and Victor Creed, Scott Adkins. In some versions of the film, after the end credits, there is a scene where, among the debris of the final battle, Deadpool, previously believed to be dead, is trying to take his head.

Rob Liefeld has revealed that Deadpool will appear in the forthcoming X-Force movie.

The X-Men and Deadpool are connected in the same universe, because many members of the mutant squad dealt with Wade Wilson. At one time, he was offered to join a group of superheroes, but he did not consider himself fit to save the world and decided to live his life. In the comics, their plots crossed many times, and in the movies it happened twice.

Who are the X-Men

After the discovery of mutants, all future members of the X-Men and Deadpool team were also forced to hide, because they became outcasts in ordinary society. being an unusually strong telepath, he managed to find many mutants and invite them to his school, where they studied and became stronger.

Adult people with abilities have united in a squad that does not allow other strong individuals to take over this world. In the films, such personalities were Magneto, Apocalypse and the mutants of their personal squads. The connection between the mutants of this squad and Deadpool is obvious, because he was offered to join the fight for but he refused, although he agreed to often help them when the situation was critical.

Deadpool

Although the X-Men and Deadpool are connected storylines, it was the hero in the red suit who became the favorite of the world public. In terms of popularity, only one member of the mutant squad, Wolverine, can compare with him. Deadpool's real name is and he never wanted to be a superhero. The guy moonlighted as a mercenary and did various dirty work until he found out about his cancer. When he thought that there was no longer a chance to survive, a man approached him and offered to participate in an experiment that would help him heal. Wade agreed, and he managed to survive the operation.

He even acquired incredible healing abilities, but instead received an external deformity. All his skin became like a continuous burn. For this reason, Wilson made himself a red and black suit, put on a mask and became known as Deadpool. In the film, the X-Men have nothing to do with this operation. The culprit was Cable, who in the special comic book series is worst enemy Wade Wilson. A solo film about Deadpool tells his story of fighting this enemy and rescuing the woman he loves, Vanessa, from the hands of a villain. It is worth mentioning that the hero became a favorite of the public due to his black humor and relevant jokes.

Teaming up with Wolverine

In the film about the X-Men "Wolverine: Beginning" Deadpool first appeared on the screens of a big movie. Role played famous actor Here he was in the background and was in the detachment of Colonel Stryker, where Logan was also with his brother. Together they carried out a mission to search for a strange meteorite in Nigeria. The picture is focused on Wolverine, oh his supernatural powers, but Wade Wilson managed to show himself.

Already in this film, he showed himself as a master of swordsmanship with a cheerful character and cheeky jokes towards allies and enemies. After the mission, Wade was captured by the colonel's men and used for their terrible experiments. It combined the abilities of eleven other mutants. As a result, he became immortal, got the ability to quickly regenerate, as well as an exoskeleton built into his body.

Stryker used the fighter to counter Logan's power and fury. In the X-Men film Wolverine Origins, Deadpool has a non-canonical image, because after the transformation he became cruel, and they began to use him as a weapon. The comics didn't have that kind of plot.

Deadpool Solo Movie

Many fans were expecting X-Men: Apocalypse to have Deadpool join the Young Mutants, but that didn't happen. Instead, Marvel released a solo film about this superhero. main role performed by the same Ryan Reynolds, and in it the image of an immortal guy in a red tights is made as similar as possible to the one that fans are used to seeing on the pages of a comic book.

The picture tells the story of how Wade Wilson agreed to conduct an experiment with his own body, about acquiring abilities and fighting against the main enemy of Ajax. The X-Men and Deadpool are connected in the film of the same universe, and some mutants from the squad help the protagonist. Colossus and his apprentice Supersonic Warhead appear in many scenes and invite Wilson to join the X-Men and stand up for the common people. Each time he refuses, because his goal is to save his beloved Vanessa and life together with her.

You know, at any big party in the company there is a person who was taken for completely incomprehensible reasons, whom the vast majority of revelers do not know. He drinks alone, says just a couple of phrases for the whole evening, and the next morning no one will remember him. Of course, if he did not manage to drown the barbecue in the river, get drunk more than anyone else and ruin the whole evening. And now I'm going to talk about X-Men Origins: Wolverine. A film that I first saw in a leaked form with half-finished special effects, and which caused me a very restrained reaction. And only later, when the picture was shown in cinemas, my friends told me over and over what a fucking movie it was, how to watch it, and in general: Wolverine he is cool. But then I never got the chance to watch it fully. The wonderful game of the same name based on this film, from which I received a whole lot of positive impressions, did not encourage me to watch it. And now, years later, I decided to evaluate this part of my favorite X franchise.

And first of all, it is worth noting that the plot of the film is much simpler than the story of any part of the trilogy. In places, the film looks like such an alien from the era of cool action movies of the 80s, and at one point I was directly afraid that I would see a remake of Commando. But one of the main problems of this prequel is its complete optionality. Wolverine, whatever one may say, not so interesting character so that a whole film is built on the history of its formation. Especially since the first two films about X quite coped with this role. The film alternately convulses in epileptic jumps of the plot, or even freezes in catatonia. And this unevenness of the narrative and prevents you from truly imbued with this character and feel his life. Yes and myself main character causes more bewilderment from its simplicity, narrow-mindedness and naivety. In the end, for a person who has lived several human lives, it is too easy to breed and deceive him, and it is difficult for a gullible simpleton to sympathize. On the other hand, the film has a number of interesting findings and ideas, and its opening credits are permeated with schizo-militarism in every frame.

Yes, and Hugh Jackman himself does not play his character very interestingly, at times, of course, he can connect the game and charisma, but this does not save him from weak direction. But who exactly succeeded in this film is Lev Schreiber in the role of Rosych's brother Viktor Creed, he is excellent at conveying the animal nature of his hero and completely overshadowing Hugh in joint scenes. Yes, and Taylor Kitsch literally got used to the image of Gambit. The rest of the cast, for the most part, are on screen without showing anything special: Lynn Collins in the dreary image of Logan's beloved, the meaningless role of Dominic Monaghan, and one of the most mediocre uses of Ryan Reynolds with the merged Deadpool.

And the action itself in some places shows senselessly strange moments like a fight with Gambit. And if in terms of staging the battle between the brothers and Deadpool at the top of the cooling tower was very provocative, then the special effects accompanying the fight simply hurt the eyes. And returning to the graphics, I would like to say that in the course of watching the film I had to make sure that I was watching the normal version, and not that leaked imperfection. In places the graphics and effects were so terrible for 2009 that a little more and I would have considered all this a stylistic perversion, but no, the authors were furiously serious. On stage with Charles, my eyes nearly bled. Most likely, after the leak, everyone just hammered the bolt to work on this film and released it in its raw form.

In the end, we can say that this film is ruined by not worthless graphics, not weak actor play and not even plot flaws. What hurts this film the most is the lack of interest - the heroes and villains are boring to watch, and the story does not evoke emotions. A completely empty film and a whole ton of curious content dipped into nowhere. By God, it's better to play the game at least it is able to give really strong emotions.

PS: And after all, the creators seriously hinted that they want to continue with the local Deadpool, well, they are scumbags.

Surprisingly, despite the fact that every lamppost knows about the release of the film, the only thing the average person knows about Deadpool himself is that he is tough, brash and sharp as a bullet. We haven't seen the movie yet, but we'll try to make this post spoiler-free territory.

Deadpool is not just another superhero in tights. Most likely, after learning about his history, abilities and, ahem, character traits, you will realize that all the other superheroes next to him are useless schmucks, and a poster with Iron Man looks childish on the wall.

1. Base

There was a guy named Wade Wilson. One day he was diagnosed with a terrible diagnosis that turned his whole life upside down - cancer. Wade suffered for a long time, and then hope appeared on the horizon - the Weapon X Project, a special weapons organization that promised to make him superhuman and cure cancer. Wilson became a guinea pig, but something went wrong during the treatment: as a result of the operation, he turned into a "shriveled avocado" (looks like he had been in a fire for several weeks), gained the ability to regenerate, mental disorder and became inhumanly strong. By profession, Deadpool is a hired killer, and in this he has no equal.

2. Deadpool is copied from 4 other comic book characters

There is a popular rumor that Deadpool is a cheap parody of Deathstroke. Actually no: this is a cheap parody of 4 comic book characters at once. And it was like that. Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld once dreamed of working on DC comics about Deathstroke, but he was let out and later hired by rival publisher Marvel. There Rob turned on the troll and took a walk. Deadpool is basically a parody of Deathstroke. They are both wildly dexterous, both with broken destinies, both mercenaries by profession. And the cherry on the trololo cake: Deathstroke's name is Slade Wilson, Deadpool's name is Wade Wilson.

Some traits Deadpool inherited from other comic book heroes: talkativeness, stoned jokes and a suit from Spider-Man, a willingness to kill from the Punisher, and the ability to regenerate from Wolverine.

3. Deadpool was conceived as a second-rate hero and first appeared in New Mutants #98 as a villain.

No one was going to make Deadpool a separate character, it happened almost by accident when Marvel wanted something wild and schizophrenic.

4 Deadpool Knows He's A Comic Book Character

He doesn’t know that sometimes he winks at the camera and jokes ambiguously with readers / viewers, no. He really realizes that he lives in another world and skillfully uses this knowledge. For example, communicates with readers about what is happening in real world while they are busy with comics. Or, if he needs to get information about some ally or enemy, he simply reads comics about them. Because it doesn't have to be complicated!

5. Once Deadpool slammed all the heroes of the Marvel Universe

In general, everyone. Spider-Man, Hulk, even Captain America (read below why "even"). Deadpool realized that they were all puppets, living in unreal world and exist only to amuse the crowd. It was in a separate comic, which is not considered canon, and, in fact, everything took place in one of the parallel realities, but still.

6. Deadpool's childhood hero is Captain America

Because of invisible connection, which brings together these two participants in government experiments, Steve Rogers - almost the only hero Marvel comic book that treats Deadpool with respect.

7. 2 inner voices coexist in his head that communicate with each other

According to the rules for drawing comics, rectangles without tails represent thoughts that are not spoken aloud, that is internal monologue hero. Deadpool has two types of rectangles - yellow and white. Moreover: Deadpool himself can agree or argue with his inner voices out loud.

8 Deadpool Is Madness Incarnate

Together with the regeneration skill after the treatment, Deadpool also snatched a broken psyche. He sees hallucinations, hears voices, is prone to violence, he is terribly buggy at the most inopportune moments. Joker - kindergarten.

9. Many enemies gave up after talking to him.

Madness has its plus - frightening unpredictability.

10. Deadpool's favorite hand is right

Not in a fight: just a guy who satisfies his sexual needs on his own and is not shy about it.

11. Deadpool dated Death

IN marvel comics Death is as elaborate a character as any other superhero. Deadpool and Death found a lot in common with each other.

12. Deadpool is not a "dead pool"

Dead - dead, pool - pool? English for the 5th grade passed perfectly, but no. Pool here means "common fund" - a kind common pit, in which, according to the plot of the comics, the patients of the special psychiatric hospital were thrown off in order to find out in practice which of them would live longer.

13. Deadpool actually has a sensitive heart.

He is gentle and friendly to children, cats, dogs and those who sincerely need help.

14. Deadpool had a split (?) personality

When Deadpool died, 4 copies of him appeared in his place: a Superhero, a Psychopath, a Comedian and a guy who could only say one phrase, "No Gherkins" (No Pickles).

15. Deadpool can be disassembled into organs, and he will survive

His regeneration skill is so advanced that he can survive nuclear explosion rise from the ashes and grow a new head. Deadpool regularly does charity work: he donates his organs to those in need - and the organs are instantly restored.

16. Deadpool has a lot of aliases

Jack, Bad Dead, Bob, Mithras, Johnny Silvini, Scarlet Crazy, Dead Man Wade, Bloody Comedian, Schrödinger, Lilyron, Talkative Mercenary, Tongue Mercenary, Suicide King. This is in addition to, in fact, Deadpool.

17. Deadpool is afraid of cows

This is his only fear, but he somehow mastered it.

18. Deadpool has a lot in common with Ryan Reynolds (the actor who plays Deadpool in the movie)

First, Wade Wilson himself compared himself to Ryan in one issue of the comics. They have about the same everything: age, height, weight, eye and hair color. Secondly, both are Canadians with great feeling humor. Thirdly, Ryan Reynolds started his acting career the same year that Deadpool first appeared in the pages of Marvel comics.

It may well be the best show of February, if not all of 2016. But we not only look forward, but also like to turn to the origins, so we can’t help but recall the first screen appearance of the Talkative Mercenary, which happened in Gavin Hood’s film “X-Men. Start. Wolverine". Admit it, you also spoiled your viewing experience of that film by rushing to watch a half-finished copy that leaked to the Web directly from the special effects editing table? The lack of graphics at the time caused many to disparage the tape, we advocate a revision of this view and offer our five arguments in favor of the fact that the origin of Wolverine is not bad at all.

5. Opening credits.

Even while you were watching pirates in the tiny window of your laptop, you could not help but notice the coolness of the opening credits, now imagine how it looked on the big screen. And the point here is not only how powerfully the joint overcoming of Sabretooth and Wolverine was filmed civil war, World War I and World War II, and then the Vietnam campaign, these few minutes spoke about the relationship between the main characters and the metamorphoses within them more than the rest of the film. We see that the characters of Liev Schreiber and Hugh Jackman go shoulder to shoulder and experience the same blows of fate, but they embitter Sabretooth, while Wolverine begins to think about the value human life. A great visual way to show the bond between the brothers and demonstrate how different they are from each other. And even though the rest of the film has reduced the coolness of the film's opening shots to almost zero, it will never be superfluous to revisit them - this is a real comic book movie, in the form in which we love it today.

4. Team X.

Previous films in the franchise barely mentioned Wolverine's service in Team X, rare flashbacks and hints of a difficult past only whetted fans' appetites. Therefore, to see a squad of mutant villains in action is a real holiday for fans of the X-Men comic. No, in Wolverine. The Beginning ”not everything turned out equally great - in action, the X-Team did not look as cool as diving into each other outside of operations, but we cannot consider ourselves deprived. At least in the universe of mutant comics, such a gathering of villains has not previously appeared, and indeed, something similar to us is just being announced under the name "Suicide Squad". Cool skirmishes and filigree possession of melee weapons, deadly blows and razor-sharp words, colorful explosions and acrobatic somersaults - Team X will please even the most demanding fans of strong male action. The authors are a little wiser with the graphics, well, yes, we have no complaints.

3. Shiny set actors.

We will not talk about Jackman here - his pros and cons have long been known. But we want to note three other actors separately. First, Ryan Reynolds. His Wade Wilson is the real success of the film, if not his heart, then his courage for sure. It was the energy and emotionality of Reynolds that not only allowed to expand the screen time for his character, but also took the first step towards the upcoming Deadpool. Well, yes, a bullet cut in half is perhaps superfluous, but otherwise Wilson is very good here. Secondly, Liev Schreiber is extremely good in Inception. Just remember his chilling grin - the perfect villain: powerful, cunning, furious. Once Sabretooth has already appeared in X-Men, but there he was just a blunt instrument in the wrong hands, but here he is a real monster, a psychopath with a passion for destruction, such Liv did not play again either before or after. It's funny that Jackman brought Schreiber to the film, and they know each other from ... the rom-com "Kate and Leo". Finally, let's give Danny Huston a round of applause. Yes, Brian Cox was a pretty good Striker in previous films in the franchise, but Houston is three heads more crazy. Such an insane military inspires real horror, he will stop at nothing, just look into the eyes of Stryker at the moment he controls Weapon XI. A brilliant team that worked well both in conjunction and against each other.

Shot from the film "X-Men Origins. Wolverine"

2. A couple of really cool scenes.

Even Gavin Hood, with his love of measured storytelling, found it difficult to do without action scenes, and a couple of them turned out to be really cool. First of all, we are, of course, talking about the scene with the helicopter. Without a helicopter - what kind of action movie? An exploding rotorcraft is the trademark of a real male cinema. In "Wolverine. The beginning” the coolest combination was waiting for the audience: a motorcycle - an army off-road vehicle - a helicopter. Wolverine jumping on the cockpit of the copter is one of the main wow moments of the trailer for the film, but the scene itself did not disappoint. A little claws and a lot of arrogance - Wolverine is unusually cool here. No less cool and Sabretooth in the scene of the murder of John Wraith. A mutant with the ability to teleport thought to deceive the villain with his jumps? Big mistake. When Sabretooth grabs the barely materialized Wraith literally by the back, for a split second we see the skeleton of the "jumper" writhing in pain, and this is one of the most striking and frightening episodes of the film. Terrible death. Only for this you can forgive all the rest of the whining and lisp of the picture.

1. Final fight.

But what is definitely worth revisiting before going to Deadpool is the finale of X-Men. Start. Wolverine". The fight scene between Wolverine and Sabretooth, in which Weapon XI intervenes, only looked ridiculous without special effects, in a full-fledged theatrical form, this fight looks very cool. And it's not just about jumping and teleporting movements, an unusual tripartite confrontation makes Wolverine and Sabretooth quickly change their attitude towards each other - from irreconcilable enemies they instantly turn into partners covering each other "back-to-back" at the moment of an attack from the outside . In addition, the symbolism of the scene should not be discounted - the battle was filmed on cooling towers nuclear reactor Nuclear power plant "Three Mile Island", a place that has become a symbol of the horror of a nuclear catastrophe for millions of Americans. Weapon XI - this is atomic energy, attractive and ruthless to mistakes at the same time. And what a chic shot turned out with the head of a monster falling into the mine, whose gaze destroys the surrounding walls - an incredibly beautiful scene, the perfect end to a big fight.
