Lil wayne who is. lil wayne

27.03.2019

It's amazing how much hip-hop is influenced by fashion. And the point here is not only the popularity of all kinds of trends and their fans, the point is love for "dislike". Like in the old song: "I love to hate you."

It's no secret that the Russian folk rapper has the greatest hatred for southern rap and all kinds of performers with the prefix "Lil", because they are "small". Although these hated rappers are often much older than their fellow haters.

What am I leading to? To the terrible enemy of all opponents of "not rap, but the southern ass shaker", a potential victim of all those who like to pour mud on the already "dirty" south - Lil Wayne, also known as Birdman Jr., Young Tune, Weezy F. Baby, Weezy Fuckin Baby and many more like.

I advise all haters to close the page and go write on some forum (preferably not a forum site) something like "Damn, what the hell is this Lil' Wayne!" and calm down, and we will begin ...

On September 27, 1982, in some kind of dirty maternity hospital, or maybe even at home, in a disgustingly criminal and incredibly hot area of New Orleans 17 ward, a baby was born, who was given the name Dwayne Michael. He was the only and completely unwanted child in an already shaky family. Obviously, the baby was the last straw for the real father of the future rap star and dad left the family when Duane was not even a year old. A typical opening for a story about incredible success, is not it? What can you do, as Louis Logic said: "All those Cinderella stories are true, because it happens."

Despite everything, a certain Reginald Carter, nicknamed Rabbit, throughout Dwayne's childhood tried to somehow raise a family, he replaced the future rapper's father, and at the same time gave him the presidential surname "Carter".

Wizzy studied badly: of course, it's hard to study and hang around on the street, in criminal Orleans, with friends, listening to rap at the same time. And then they listened on the streets of this, I'm not afraid of such a word, exotic city of absolutely amazing and unique performers. It would be worthwhile to delve a little into the history of New Orleans music here: that completely incompetent label "bounce" that haters of southern rap are so fond of hanging these days is actually a style of hip-hop, whose roots are in Miami Bass Music, and the soul is forever in New Orleans. So, instead of the usual "I was influenced by Big Daddy Kane and Rakim!", Dwayne recalls: "I was influenced by Pimp Daddy and U.N.L.V. (Uptown Niggas Livin Violent)". One can only be surprised how well Wayne was aware, because at that time neither Pimp Daddy nor U.N.L.V. were not signed to any label, although they were already underground stars (and a little later they were signed to Cash Money, but that's another story).

At 93, at the age of ten, Wizzy meets an artist signed to a young label Cash Money Records named Lil Slim. As is often the case, he hits him with his rap. We can only guess how a ten-year-old child could impress an adult man, but Slim promises to introduce the management of his own label - Brian "Baby" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams. This happens after six months.

FUTURE DADES

It is worth noting that the policy of the Cash Money label was radically different: they tried to take quality, to gather the best rappers in New Orleans under one flag, so they failed to immediately impress the label's CEO. As a consolation prize, Baby leaves Duane her business card saying "call me when you're older".

Wizzy wasted no time getting on his Cash Money phone, after which the head of the label generously, a la Tyler Durden, said: "Now I see that you really want to be a rapper." And added him to the second child on the label - Gangsta D aka Lil Doogie. This is how the group B.G.'z (Baby Gangstaz) appeared, which, however, lasted only a couple of months. However, they managed to release their debut promo EP "True Story" in the same 93.

happened to him interesting story: Lil' Doogie read an order of magnitude more on this EP, due to the fact that he was older than Wayne'a and it just so happened that the name B.G. stuck with him, and Baby D (as Dwayne called himself at that time) was credited as a guest on several tracks when it was already released full album"True story".

At that time, Cash Money had an active beef with another New Orleans label - Big Boy (known only for the fact that Mystikal came out of their ranks). One day, Mother Vizzy heard her beloved only son diss at an enemy office and… forbade him to communicate with Cash Money and wear military clothes (don't forget that the guy was only 11 years old).

But her ban did not last long ... Soon Duane's stepfather is killed and the only close person who was nearby was Baby. “I remember how I called him and calmly said just a couple of words, something like:“ Ok, yes he died ... ”, Wayne will remember much later - Baby picked me up, put me in his car, and I cried there in the back sitting, I was shocked ... Then he looked into my eyes and said: "Hey nigga, you're crying like you lost your father, what the fuck" and from that day on Baby became my only father, and we don’t have each other we'll lose."

THE BEST LIVING

Time passed, Lil’ Wayne, already under a more familiar name for us, appeared from time to time on the albums of Cash Money artists, but there were no active projects with his participation. That all changed when a pivotal decision for the label was made in 97 - a group consisting of B.G., Juvenile, Young Turk and Lil' Wayne was formed - Hot Boys, an all-star group, as they were called. But in fact, "Hot Boys" is the name of the New Orleans gang of the first half of the twentieth century. According to legend, when they were finally caught, the city's crime rate plummeted.

The group's first album blew up Louisiana, although the scattering of fragments did not exceed the boundaries of the state. It sold about 400,000 copies, which was an incredible amount for an independent label, thanks to which the Universal Major attracted the attention of Cash Money Records. A contract for 30 million was signed, according to which Cash Money Records passed under the wing of this giant.

During this time, Wizzy changed his style significantly. His new idol was the namesake Jay-Z, hence the features of the reading. On his albums, since 2000, this kind of imitation of Jiga is heard more clearly, which Wayne does not deny.

The next Hot Boys album broke the bank: platinum certification plus wild popularity, but according to the laws of the genre, the fairy tale ended in a timely manner. One by one, the band members left Cash Money, but the comparison with rats fleeing a sinking ship was inappropriate here.

The underage Lil' Wayne kept this ship afloat. The beginning of his solo career was marked by 1999, when he was not yet 18 years old. Wayne's specific rapping + Mannie Fresh beats went together perfectly, the first single "The Block Is Hot" blew up as expected, and the album was sold in a million copies. Then in 2000 the Wayne + Fresh team followed up with the gold "Lights Out".

When the hard times came for Cash Money and the artists began to leave, the CEO of the label decided to name the next album of Vizzy "500 Degreez", as if it were a sequel to the most successful Cash Money album - Juvenile "400 Degreez". As expected, Juve, who left the label, was offended. No joke!

In anger, he hastily concocted either a bootleg or a mixtape of dubious quality called "600 Degreez", on which he presented his diss on Lil'Wayne called "A hoe" to the world. Претензии стандартные: "Ты никого не убил, а у тебя набита слеза, я тебя не видел на районе, ты не ниггер, ты дыра", и все в таком же духе. Wizzy commented on this attack calmly: "I have no idea what kind of diss is there, I have not heard it. Maybe there was something, it does not matter to me. I do not forget mine and, if anything, I am for any of our ex I will give my life to the teams, whether it be B.G., my nigga Turk or the same Juve.

Of course, this surprised the hip-hop community a lot, especially those who remembered how smartly Wizzy dropped Big Boy Records, which he personally never hurt.
Moreover, on his next album, The Carter, there was a song "I Miss My Dawgs", dedicated to the runaways Juvenile, Turk and B.G., and there were no threats in this track.

By the way, this album ("The Carter") is interesting at least because it is the first album of an adult Wayne, his lyrics have become deeper, the topics are more extensive ... and his pride has increased: in the very first single he declares "I'm cash money Makaveli, ya ain't ready… The best rapper alive since the best rapper retired (I'm Machiavelli from Cash Money… (hint Tupac) I best rapper survivor after the best retired (allusion to Jay-Z))".

PRESIDENT CARTER-3

Time, as we have already noted, passed, performers came and went on Cash Money, one thing remained unchanged - Lil 'Wayne and Baby, who called each other relatives. Therefore, again, the statement made by Wayne himself in 2005, that he was leaving the label on which he spent more than half of his life, fell like snow on his head, and switched to Def Jam to the beloved Jiga. True, in the end, the statement did not justify itself and Vizzy remained on Cash Money, but he himself commented: "Actually, I really was going to Jay-Z. But the situation on Cash Money changed in better side, and I stayed", which did not rule out the possibility of leaving. Baby said: "Wayne was part of the label, he will forever be her. We are Family!".

There are many rumors that Wayne is under some influence of Baby and does everything that the owner "orders" him, but authoritative publications prefer to attribute this to paranoid fiction, which means we will do the same.

And in general, an amazing number of rumors always swirl around Wizzy. Like when Young Jeezy left Boyz N Da Hood and the band was looking for fourth participant, everyone vied with each other to woo either Trick Daddy or Wayne.

Despite the fact that Vizzy has a 6-year-old daughter from his own stylist, he is still a single man, but with a girl, and what a girl! Wayne's girlfriend is none other than the baddest bitch Trina from Miami. Their union too for a long time was just a rumor and in interviews stated that they were "just friends", but after the joint song "Don't Trip" in an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Trina admitted that they were having an affair and giggled stupidly for a long time. Later, in an interview with VIBE magazine, she said that they "are both incredibly happy and we, the readers, don't need to know anything more." Wizzy, on the other hand, limited himself to a mean "we fucking understand each other, because we are both rappers." That's it.

By mid-2005 B.G. and Juve finally fell out with Lil' Wayne, however, all that can be heard in their address from Carter is a short "Fuck" in the next interview. He did not arrange any disses, or any actions like G-Unot. The fuck list was eventually joined by Mannie Fresh, the former Beatmaker of Cash Money, who in turn "left the boat". After his departure from the label, Wizzy was elevated to the rank of "President of Cash Money Records".

What gives this title, and to this day a mystery, because the owners of the label are still the Williams brothers. Wayne himself, when asked what kind of position this is, answers as follows: “I work more creatively. I answer thousands of questions“ Wayne, what do you think about this? Wayne, what should we do?"

His latest album"The Carter II" sold a million copies and received the title of "Best Cash Money album ever" from critics, and Wayne himself was named one of the best lyricists of the south.

At the moment, he is up to his neck in business: in addition to the new solo album "The Carter III" scheduled for 2007, Vizzy is also working on a joint album with Baby, the working title of which is "Like Father, Like Son" again emphasizes their "kinship". In addition, another interesting project- the album "I Can't Feel My Face" with "diplomat" Juelz Santana, which was originally conceived as a mixtape, but now apparently will be released as a full-length album.

In addition, there were (and continue to be) rumors about the revival of the Hot Boyz: supposedly B.G., Juvenile and Mannie Fresh are ready to record new album, but on the condition that there will be no hated Baby on it. Wayne is a mountain for the "father" and refuses.

Hurricane Katrina forced the New Orleans star, along with "daddy" Baby, to move in with his beloved Trinochka in Miami, and as Vizzy himself sings on the track for the DJ Khaled album, "Until the rebuild New Orleans that's where I stay (until they rebuild New Orleans, I'll stay here in Miami).

Here is such a story of a boy from the ghetto, to whom his mother did not allow him to swear and wear paramilitary clothes as a child ... a real American dream! But this is only the beginning!

We are Family!".

There are many rumors that Wayne is under some influence of Baby and does everything that the “master orders” him, but authoritative publications prefer to attribute this to paranoid fiction, which means we will do the same.

Despite the fact that Vizzy has a 6-year-old daughter from his own stylist, he is still a single man, but the fact that he constantly has affairs with the most beautiful girls, and even what! Wayne's girlfriend was once none other than da baddest bitch, Trina from Miami. Their union was also just a rumor for a long time and in an interview they stated that they were “just friends”, but after the joint song “Don’t Trip” in an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Trina admitted that they were having an affair and giggled stupidly for a long time. Later, in an interview with Vibe magazine, she said that they "are both incredibly happy and we, the readers, don't need to know anything more." Weezy, on the other hand, limited himself to a mean "we fucking understand each other, because we are both rappers." True, Eden did not last so long, and soon Lauren London fell into the insidious networks of Wizzy, who had already grown the now famous dreadlocks, famous model and a courtesan. A drug addict with an eternal glass in his hand fascinated the girl so much that she flew into an instant. In September 2009, she gave birth to a new, now third, offspring of Carter. And soon the fourth arrived, whose mother is the singer Nivea. Our hero, Dwayne Michael Carter, turned out to be such a womanizer.

By the way, about the name of the rapper. In interviews, the artist often admitted that he asks people to call him Wayne, without the "d" at the beginning. “I rolled the d because my father is still alive and I don't want to be a junior. I prefer the name Wayne."

By mid-2005 B.G. and Juve finally fell out with Lil' Wayne, however, all that can be heard in their address from Carter is a short "F**k" in the next interview. He did not arrange any disses, or any actions like G-Unot. The f**k-list was eventually joined by Mannie Fresh, the former Cash Money beatmaker, who in turn "left the boat". After his departure from the label, Wizzy was elevated to the rank of "President of Cash Money Records".

What gives this title, and to this day a mystery, because the owners of the label are still the Williams brothers. But things are cleared up when Wayne Carter is announced as president of Cash Money's new division, Young Money Records. “Finally, I got complete freedom, and nothing the fuck is stopping me now,” baring his corrugated teeth in joy, says Vizzy.

His 2005 album Tha Carter II was a million-selling and critically acclaimed Best Cash Money album ever, and Wayne himself has been named one of the South's best lyricists.

NEW PROJECTS, NEW CONCERN

In 2006, he is also up to his neck in business: first, Wizzy is working on a joint album with Baby aka Birdman, the title of which is "Like Father, Like Son" again emphasizes their "kinship". In addition, another interesting project went into development - the album "I Can't Feel My Face" with "diplomat" Juelz Santana, which was originally conceived as a mixtape, but should be released as a full-fledged album.

In addition, there were many rumors about the revival of Hot Boyz: B.G., Juvenile and Mannie Fresh were supposedly ready to record a new album, but on the condition that the hated Baby would not be on it. Wayne seems to be standing behind his stepfather with a mountain. But there is no fire without smoke. The old gang seems to have crawled to the studio and is recording a new album. Release is scheduled for 2010.

The release of Tha Carter III was also planned for 2008. The fate of this miserable album is amazing. During almost all of 2007, it was carried over from one date to another. Finally, the fans breathed a sigh of freedom: Cash Money announced that the final release was set - early summer 2008. And then, a new scandal: a few days before the premiere, the finished album was leaked to the Internet. And it’s all the fault of Wayne’s “innocent” phrase in an interview with Foundation magazine: “F * ck all mixtape deejays.” Angry DJs immediately took revenge on the rapper. But this action did not suffer serious losses in sales, and all thanks to loyal fans who, in the first week, presented their idol with the first million copies sold. This bar hasn't been broken by any rapper since 50 Cent launched his mega-successful "The Massacre" in March 2005. As a result - 3X platinum and a wild success of the tour.

2009 Vizzy considers the happiest and most fruitful year for the label. “We have signed many new artists, from Bow Wow to brand new entertainer Drake. I don't want to know what happened between Bow Wow and Jermaine, but he's my dude now. And Drake - we found him in Canada, and believe me, he has a great future! Now we are working on several albums at once. Baby, Jay Sean and Kevin Rudolf have already shot with new releases. Me and Drake on the run. Plus compilation from my label. All OK."

But now, reviewing the news blogs, one can disappoint Wizzy: the court sentenced the rapper to a year in prison for illegal possession of a weapon. And although the release date of the seventh album has already been set - February 1, 2010 - it is possible that we will have to wait. But our hero hopes that he will manage without extremes, he must also work in the studio.

Biography

On September 27, 1982, in some kind of dirty maternity hospital, or maybe even at home, in the disgustingly criminal and incredibly hot New Orleans "17 ward" area, a baby was born, who was given the name Dwayne Michael Carter (Dwayne Michael Carter). He was the only and completely unwanted child in an already shaky family. A typical opening for a story of incredible success, isn't it? What can you do, as louis logic said: "All those Cinderella stories are true, because it happens."

In spite of everything, a certain Reginald Carter, nicknamed Rabbit, throughout Dwayne's childhood tried to somehow raise a family, he replaced the future rapper's father, and at the same time gave him the presidential surname "Carter".

Wizzy studied badly: of course, it's hard to study and hang around on the street, in criminal Orleans, with friends, listening to rap at the same time. During this time, Wizzy changed his style significantly. His new idol was the namesake Jay-Z, hence the features of the reading. On his albums since 2000, this kind of imitation of Jigga is heard more clearly, which Wayne does not deny.

Wayne's specific rapping + Mannie Fresh beats went together perfectly, the first single "Tha Block Is Hot" blew up as expected, and the album was sold in a million copies. Then in 2000, the Wayne + Fresh team built on the gold "Lights Out".

When Cash Money hit a tough time and artists began to leave, the label's CEO decided to call Wizzy's next album "500 Degreez", as if it were a sequel to Cash Money's most successful album, Juvenile "400 Degreez". As expected, Juve, who left the label, was offended. No joke!

In anger, he hastily concocted either a bootleg or a mixtape of dubious quality called "600 Degreez", on which he presented his diss on Lil'Wayne called "A Hoe" to the world. Претензии стандартные: «Ты никого не убил, а у тебя набита слеза, я тебя не видел на районе, ты не ниггер, ты дыра», и все в таком же духе. Wizzy commented on this attack calmly: “I have no idea what the diss is, I didn’t hear it. Maybe there was something, it doesn't matter to me. I don’t forget mine and, if anything, I’ll give my life for any of our former team, whether it’s B.G., my nigga Turk or the same Juve.”

Of course, this surprised the hip-hop community a lot, especially those who remembered how smartly Weezy dropped Big Boy Records, which he personally never hurt. Moreover, on his next album, Tha Carter, there was a song “I Miss My Dawgs”, dedicated to the runaways Juvenile, Turk and B.G., and there were no threats in this track.

By the way, this album (“The Carter”) is interesting, if only because it is the first album of an adult Wayne, his lyrics have become deeper, the topics are more extensive ... and his pride has increased: in the very first single he declares “I'm cash money Makaveli, ya ain't ready… The best rapper alive since the best rapper retired .

PRESIDENT CARTER #3

Time, as we have already noted, passed, performers came and went on Cash Money, one thing remained unchanged - Lil 'Wayne and Baby, who called each other relatives. Therefore, again, the statement made by Wayne himself in 2005 that he was leaving the label on which he had spent more than half of his life, and moving on to Def Jam to the beloved Jigga, fell like snow on his head. True, in the end, the statement did not justify itself and Vizzy remained on Cash Money, but he himself commented: “Actually, I really was going to Jay-Z. But the situation at Cash Money changed for the better, and I stayed, ”which did not rule out the possibility of leaving at all. Baby said: “Wayne was part of the label, she always will be. We are Family!".

There are many rumors that Wayne is under some influence of Baby and does everything that the “master orders” him, but authoritative publications prefer to attribute this to paranoid fiction, which means we will do the same.

Despite the fact that Wizzy has a 6-year-old daughter from his own stylist, he is still a single man, but the fact that he is constantly having affairs with the most beautiful girls, and even what ones, adds to his authority! Later, in an interview with Vibe magazine, she said that they "are both incredibly happy and we, the readers, don't need to know anything more." Weezy, on the other hand, limited himself to a mean "we fucking understand each other, because we are both rappers." True, Eden did not last so long, and soon Lauren London, a famous model and courtesan, got into the insidious networks of Wizzy, who had already grown the famous dreadlocks.

Lil Wayne is arguably one of the most successful and popular rappers to ever hit the American scene. The biography of this man is a classic success story of a black guy from a dysfunctional family who, against all odds, “made his way” and proved to the world that he is talented and deserves more.

Childhood and youth

The real name of the artist is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. The future idol of millions was born on September 27, 1982 in the Holly Grove area, in New Orleans. Duane's mother at that time was barely 19 years old, the girl worked as a cook. Two years later, the boy's father, Dwayne Carter Sr., left the family, leaving his former lover with a young son in her arms and practically without a livelihood.

This act forever predetermined Duane's attitude towards him: the rapper, at the first opportunity, changed given name not wanting to be anything like this person. Removing the first letter, the young man received the name Wayne, under which he became famous.

WITH early childhood Wayne attracted the attention of teachers, on the one hand, with talent and artistry, on the other, with disgusting behavior and constant pranks. Already in primary school the boy began to write poetry. In addition, Wayne participated in all school plays and even studied in theatrical circle.

In 1991, Wayne met Brian Williams, who later became known as Birdman. He drew attention to the talented boy and already in 1995 helped to record the first album. This record was prepared by 11-year-old Wayne in a duet with another teenager - 14-year-old Christopher Dorsey, known as B. G.

The first success inspired Wayne Carter so much that after a couple of years the young man left school to devote all his time and efforts to his musical career.

Music

The album "Get It How U Live", recorded with Terius Gray and Tab Wedzhel Jr., can be considered the beginning of Wayne Carter's serious creative work. The team was called "Hot Boys" and instantly gained popularity among fans of rap music. In 1999, the Hot Boys delighted the public with their second disc, called Guerilla Warfare.

Carter's first independent creation is considered to be the album "The Block Is Hot", although some of the songs from this disc were also performed together with the Hot Boys group. The album surpassed Wayne's previous records in popularity, reaching platinum status in the first week of sales. It also earned Carter a Best New Artist nomination.

The year 2000 was marked for the musician by the appearance of the second solo album, called "Lights Out". This disc was inferior in popularity to the previous one, however, it was awarded the title of "golden" according to many music channels and publications. And two years later, Lil Wayne presented to the public the third disc - "500 Degrees", which, unfortunately, did not win the love of the audience.

However, the most important creative biography Lil Wayne became records from the series "The Carter". Their special atmosphere, unique style of Carter's recitative and the constant quality of the recording gave the musician fans all over the world.

The first album from this collection - "The Carter" - was released in 2004. According to some media estimates, the record sold over a million copies, and these are only legal copies. Months of the first lines of various hit parades and charts raised Lil Wayne's popularity to new heights.

Deciding to strike while the iron is hot, at the beginning of 2005, Lil Wayne released the album "The Carter II", the title track from which for a long time sounded everywhere in the United States. The album itself sold three hundred thousand copies, falling short of the success of the previous one. The musician did not forget about other projects: in 2006, Carter released a joint disc with Birdman, which the rappers called "Like Father, Like Son".

But with the third album from the series "The Carter" there were problems. Shortly before the announced release, several songs were leaked to the Web. Lil Wayne announced to fans that he was postponing the release of the record, and would release the released songs on a separate album, supplementing them with four more tracks.

As a result, "The Carter III" appeared only in 2008. It is noteworthy that the scandal with the songs posted on the Internet benefited the disc: in the first week, more than a million people bought this album. Subsequently, the album became triple platinum and even broke the record of the artist 50 Cent with his disc "The Masscare", which previously bore the "title" of the most commercially successful rap album.

The next album in the series was released in 2011. The fact is that the recording of the tracks and the release itself were constantly postponed, either because of the health of the performer, or because of his persistent problems with the law.

Lil Wayne's further records also turned out to be "problematic": the musician managed to ruin relations with his record company, go to jail, get released, undergo a serious operation on his teeth, star in a couple of films and release a dozen singles, later included in different albums. However, even the constant failures of the promised deadlines did not make Lil Wayne's fans turn away from the idol.

Personal life

The rapper's personal life developed no less rapidly than musical career. The first wife of the musician was a school friend named Anthony Johnson. The woman gave Lil Wayne the first daughter. The girl was named Regina. Unfortunately, this marriage broke up in 2006.

Two years later, in 2008, the man's son Duane was born. Became the baby's mother new sweetheart Lil Wayna - Sarah Vivan. However, Carter did not stay with this girl for a long time either. The next chosen one of the rapper was the beautiful model Lauren London, who gave the musician a son, Cameron. In the same 2009, the fourth child of Lil Wayne was born - the boy Neil, whose mother was the singer Nivea.

In 2014, fans learned about Lil Wayne's new romance. This time, the passion of the charismatic musician (by the way, Carter's height is 1.65 m) was popular singer and actress Christina Milian. But this girl did not manage to take possession of the rapper's heart for a long time. A year later, the couple announced their breakup.

After that, Lil Wayne was often credited with relationships with various models and singers, including with, but there is no confirmed information on this yet.

Lil Wayne now

Now, unfortunately for the fans, the attention of the musical community is riveted not to the work of Lil Wayne, but to the state of health of the musician. The press does not discuss the singer’s clips and photos at all, but the last hospitalization: in the fall of 2017, Carter was admitted to the hospital after an epileptic attack. Recall that this is not the first case of the manifestation of the disease. A year earlier, Lil Wayne had already been undergoing treatment for epilepsy.

That's why "Instagram" and others social media full of posts of condolences from fans and wishes for Lil Wayne to return to music as soon as possible.

Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.(Eng. Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.; September 27, 1982), better known as Lil Wayne(Eng. Lil Wayne) - American rapper. Being a member of the Hot Boys group, he is part of the team record company cash money records. Worked with rapper B.G. on the album True Story, after which he was signed to the label. Released in 1997, Get It How U Live was Wayne's first release with the Hot Boys; He made his solo debut in 1999 with the release of Tha Block is Hot. The album debuted in the top ten of the Billboard 200, and Wayne himself was nominated for "Best young performer of the year" according to The Source magazine. Soon after the success that came to him, Wayne took part in the recording of joint singles with rappers such as B.G. (Bling Bling) and Big Tymers (#1 Stunna) in 2000.

After relatively little hype around the first two albums, Wayne's greatest popularity came with the release of Tha Carter in 2004, followed by Tha Carter II (2005) and Tha Carter 3 (2008). During this period, he appeared on numerous singles and mixtapes by other rap artists.

In 2009, the single Revolver was recorded with Madonna, which was included in the compilation album Celebration.

In 2010, the joint single No Love was recorded with the famous rapper Eminem. In August 2011 he released his new album Tha Carter IV.

lil wayne- rapper from New Orleans in the beginning was known for being popular in the late 90s group Hot Bows, which also included rappers Juvenile, Turk and B.G. R&B fans will surely remember him for the joint track with the Destiny's Child group "Soldier".

Lil Wayne- rapper with interesting fate, charismatic nature and perfectionism, allowing him to reach those heights where the path is ordered for others. He is a man whose music grows stronger day by day, and it is thanks to this that he eventually turned into the main idol of the USA.

And it all started many years ago in the city of New Orleans, then unpromising for rap, where Dwayne Carter was born. But already at the age of ten, he managed to hook several influential adults, one of whom brought him to Cash Money, NO's main label. However, the heads of this office Slim and Baby did not immediately give him a chance, but only the zeal of the boy made them decide to sign him and put him in the B.G.z group, where one member was already waiting for him. The group lasted a couple of months, but it was she who became the first project where Lil "Wayne lit up.

Everything changed a little later, in 97, when the heads of the label decided to create an all-star group in New Orleans. This is how the legendary Hot Boyz appeared, which included Juvenile, Turk, B.G. and Lil "Wayne. The name was given to the group in honor of the famous gang that operated in the city in the first half of the 20th century. The first album blew up their home state, the second - all of America. A fairy tale awaited them: 400,000 copies of the first CD, transition under the wing of a major Universal and already "platinum" status.

Of course, each of the participants wanted to try himself in solo career. The success of Lil "Wayne turned out to be no less impressive. He proved that he alone is capable of much with his debut disc The Block Is Hot, which also overcame the bar of a million copies sold. The second CD Lights Out did not repeat the success, but also took strong "gold".

Next in Weezy's career comes interesting point. The label's business takes a turn for the worse when nearly all the top stars make the decision to leave due to financial disagreements. Only Lil "Wayne remains. He calls his third LP 500 Degreez, which looks like an answer to 400 Degreez Juvenile (until then the most successful album in the history of the label). Juve answers 600 Degreez, where he pours dirt on Weezy to the fullest, but does not see an answer Instead, on the fourth Wayne release, the track I Miss My Dawgs appears, where there is not a single bad word to their former partners.

The disk, by the way, turned out to be even stronger than before. All the same branded beats from Mannie Fresh (one Go DJ hit is worth it), the same guests, but the artist's style has become much brighter. This is exactly what later turned into the Lil "Wayne that shines now.

Tha Carter 2 elicited a flurry of admiring responses from critics, and sales again exceeded one million. The hits Fireman and Money On My Mind broke the charts, and this led many to speak of the disc as the best release in the history of the label. The artist himself politely agreed with this, warning everyone with the third part.

But before that, everyone was waiting for a joint release with the same prolific Baby, Like Father, Like Son, as a seed. From the point of view of music, the work was again impeccable, but in sales it was content with only “gold”. The performers themselves were not upset by this, because they were waiting for the sessions for the third part of Carter.

And here it is on the shelves. Crazy sales by modern standards (“platinum” already in the first week), general hysteria for the artist, he is experiencing all this at the moment. As well as the fact that all the artists in the industry want to see his name on the very first singles. Success, which is now almost impossible to expect, he deserved his perseverance, hard work for many years and the desire to improve himself. He is just like this Lil Wayne.
