1. First you need to draw the main contours of the dog
Make a drawing of a dog on the entire sheet of paper, it will be easier for you to draw small details and a large picture always looks more spectacular than a small one. Your hobby in adult life not many have endured, and most have left their skills to early stages development. - So let's start with the eyes. To do this, put a bold dot on paper, closer to the upper right corner.
- After that, above the point, you need to draw a semicircle, which will be the head of the animal, as shown in the figure.

Also, in order to give the picture maximum realism, you should add shadows to it. You only need to do this soft pencil, which can be easily shaded. The volume of the puppy will be given by shadows near the muzzle, on the paws, ears and in the eye area. To make the drawing as realistic as possible, the painted shadows should be rubbed well with your fingers or an unnecessary clean piece of paper. Also, claws are painted on the paws, and with the help of an eraser, you can make glare of light in the eyes and on the nose.

Stage 2. Image of the paws and body of the animal
How to draw paws for a dog? To do this, draw lines down from the lower oval, at the end of which there will be soft pads. The front paws are fully visible, we make them in their entire length, taking into account the proportions. Back - only one is visible, and since it is bent, we depict its upper part as an egg-shaped figure along the lower right side oval. The drawn small circle is also divided in half by a vertical line. In the middle of it will be located the nose of the dog.
On the sides of the muzzle we make hanging ears characteristic of the Rhodesian Ridgeback.
We depict the eyes, we perform the nose of the animal more accurately.
Stage 4. Designing the picture
We have mastered the basic principles that help us understand how to draw. There are nuances left that will make our picture look like the original. Namely, we perform “fingers” on the paws, do not forget about the tail.
We remove all unnecessary lines. We provide the necessary details.

4. We remove the auxiliary lines so that you can draw the muzzle of the dog. We draw a big nose and small, but such natural eyes. We correct the contour of the torso and head so that the dog becomes fluffy and plush in appearance. We will also work on the hat so that it becomes voluminous and acquires a wavy look on the objects of fur inserts. 
5. We paint over the sections of the hat and collar with a decorative element with red-burgundy watercolor. 
6. Now let's move on to drawing the wool. Apply yellow-brown watercolor paint all parts of the animal. We give time to dry the layer and once again paint over the ears, muzzle, torso with paws and tail with a more saturated and dark color. 
7. We carefully paint over the nose with black watercolor, and blue - the white areas of the cap. We will also go over the fur again and create a third coat of paint, where we apply dark brown shades of watercolor mixed with burgundy and red tones. 
8. Finally, with black watercolor, paint over the eyes and the shadow under the dog at the base of the picture. 
9. Ready watercolor drawing dogs on New Year 2018, if desired, we finalize with black liners. For general contour you should choose 0.7 mm, but for small hatching - 0.1 mm.

DIY Dalmatian drawing
A Dalmatian puppy in a festive sock is the main theme of this drawing lesson. So if you want to draw new year drawing, then for animal lovers you can’t imagine better! Necessary materials:

Drawing steps:
01. We denote by simple lines general form christmas sock. Let's draw all the curves.
2. Then draw the upper part of the sock, which has a fur insert. You also need to show that the sock is hanging on a fireplace or other piece of furniture. To do this, draw a circle in the upper part.
3. The sock will be striped. To show this - draw a few lines and draw a patch on the heel.

How to draw a yellow dog step by step
In anticipation of the New Year 2018, you can now learn to draw a dog. After all, she will become a symbol for whole year. Its main color is yellow.
So when choosing colored pencils, you should give preference to shades from yellow to red. Bright hues suitable for base color wool, but dark ones - for volume and contour creation.

6. First we take yellow pencil and give the color of the dog's coat to hind legs and back, head and ears. Already with an orange tint pencil, you can add contour and volume.

9. Finally, take a red pencil and color the tongue. In the white areas of the picture, you can add a slight tint to give a little volume.
