What is meditative drawing? Meditative intuitive painting.

28.02.2019

Who can answer: "What is meditative painting?" An artist who paints such pictures, due to the incompatibility of artistic truth with external reality, becomes the cause of a tragic misunderstanding by society. It is much easier for him to follow the layman, who puts the "PHOTO" style in the first place, and superficially beautiful is the main thing for him.

But the layman has already learned to accept and "digest" the art of the Impressionists and Surrealists (or they pretend that this is required of them by fashion). But the meditative art causes him complete rejection. He twists his finger at his temple, pointing to the creator of such art. What are the reasons for the rejection of meditative art by the layman?

Dayats - paintings for meditation and healing

Dayats are paintings meant for meditative contemplation. In addition, days are used to improve and treat many diseases, as well as to normalize the mental state, especially before events that require a lot of emotional stress or after them, to restore strength.

Translated dayata means giver, giver.

Dayats have been known to yogis since ancient times. Visually, they are images of certain geometric shapes which are colored in bright colors. There have always been 108 days. on the front and reverse side mantras are written. During meditation, they must be pronounced, which will enhance the effect of their impact. Each painting has a legend that helps to understand its essence. In the original, the days are painted on canvas with oil, the size of the painting is 99x99 cm.

The process of creating dayat has always been a secret and was passed down exclusively from teachers to students.

Sumiyo - divine brush

It is generally accepted that the art of Sumiyo originates in China, but it also has roots in Japan. Sumyo is religious in nature. The source of the creation of paintings lies outside the ordinary consciousness of man. This is a direct transmission of divine energy.
The artist, creating these paintings, is separated from his creation. He is only a movement, doing the will of the beyond. And often what appears under the movements of his brush surprises not only those around him, but also himself.
Each picture is a mystery, to unravel which is the highest pleasure and spiritual insight.

Mandala - a model of the universe

Mandala is a model of the Universe, expressed in geometric symbols. The shape of the mandala is usually a circle in which a square is inscribed, having an inner circle, often divided into segments. The outer circle symbolizes the universe. Internal - the dimension of deities, bodhisattvas, buddhas.
The studies of psychologists, esotericists and physicists of our time coincide with ancient views on the nature of human consciousness.
Human consciousness is based on the Image.
Mandala contemplation is an effective tool for solving deep psychological problems This applies to problems in communication, in the family, creativity and professional activity. The mandala is based on the principle of unity and wholeness.
Mandala is an energy matrix that interacts with a person on a multidimensional level.
Meditating on a mandala, a person connects to the healing source of the energies of the Earth, and it does not matter whether he realizes it or not. Contemplation of the mandala allows a person to move to new level Being filled with harmony and peace.

I discovered Zili Nikitina's paintings in Arkaim, where she is very famous. This is enough unusual painting, because it is impossible to evaluate it the way we, for the most part, are accustomed to evaluate works of art.
Technique is not important here. no matter how or what painting is painted, it only matters that you see and what you feel.

I want to warn you right away that the artist has a very non-standard view of the world. Her meditative sensations and visions can be treated differently, but why shouldn't we look into someone else's reality?

In preparing the article, once again I had to face the misfortune of many artists - the lack of decent reproductions of their works on the net. Therefore, do not blame me for small images.

***
Zilya (Zulfiya) Nikitina - professional artist. Born in Ufa in 1966, she graduated from the theater department of the Ufa Art School. WITH early childhood her reality was filled with angels, shining deities, parallel spaces, sensations of the past. According to her, her deep touch with the Divine began in 1990. After 7 years, she began to paint meditative pictures and engage in meditative drawing with children.

"Light World"

The artist describes this period of her life as follows: “Those miracles and visions that accompanied me as a child began to unfold. The children I worked with became my first teachers. I saw that these are only small bodies, but in fact they are old ancient Spirits and Teachers. They told me about the structure of the world (although they themselves had not read about it anywhere, and no one had told them). When you treat children with respect as equals, not haughtily, they begin to trust you and open up.”

The main themes of her painting are the ancient Arias, Arkaim and India, where the artist spends a lot of time (mainly in Puttaparthi, in the Ashram of Sathya Sai Baba, a teacher, a well-known spiritual and religious leader of India). Zilya writes pictures in meditation, all alone, without going out and not communicating with anyone. Often such meditations last for several days until the picture is completed.

According to the artist, first she sees the color. “Some pictures and images come spontaneously, and then there is an unbearable desire to put it on paper as soon as possible. Thus came the images of the Mandala of the Time of the Universe and the Mandala of Durga. Now I see pictures in three dimensions. In the space above the picture, when the sheet is still empty, everything is already there: both color and shape, and as in computer graphics everything moves and plays. I don’t sign the paintings from above, because I think that you can’t overlay your own entry. This does not belong to me, I clearly understand this. I just shoot a certain section of space with certain frequencies of vibrations, and I understand that these are the windows through which the Gods work.

"Ancient spirit of the Aryan Arkaim", 2007

"The Ancient Spirit of Arkaim" was painted in Ufa, the painting is now in Arkaim.
At the sight of this picture, many cry - according to the author, this means
that there is a strong transformation of consciousness through memory.

"Spirits of Sirius Stars", 2007

Written in Ufa, now located in Arkaim.

As the author explains, this painting depicts Father and Mother, young and together for the first time on the same canvas.
The artist first saw her father during meditation in 1998 as an ancient elder who controls Sirius.
From this meditation came the vision of Sirius himself - his landscapes, palaces, ships, which appear in her other paintings. The image of the Mother was first formed in 2003.

Sirius, 2007

The same Father and Mother, but older.
Against the background of the landscapes of Sirius.

"Syrian Divine Mother", 2009

It took more than six months to write it, the artist worked on it in India.

According to the artist, “The Syrian Divine Mother is also from the Aryans, the White Gods of Light.
Several people have shared with me their experiences that She awakens the Divine feminine, dignity and honor that the ancient Aryan women once possessed. In her is the glorious power of the White Gods, the wonderful beauty of women, blessed by the One Mother of the World. The teacher says that now Mother Earth lacks the yin (female) energy that only women give off, and only when they are happy. She lacks this energy because for many centuries men have offended and humiliated women. But only a woman is able to emit this energy, which the planet needs so much now. The teacher also says that a man is in the waiting room of God, and a woman is with God himself. Because only a woman has such a quality as sacrifice and compassion.”

"White Gods", 2010

The picture was painted and is located in Ufa.
It depicts the God of the wind Stribog and Mother Earth.

Here the artist refers to Slavic-Aryan Vedas who say that soon we will enter the "hall of the Wolf" from the "hall of the Fox" - an era that will have the flourishing of culture and the rise of self-awareness of mankind.
During this period, a person will begin to turn his gaze to nature, stop destroying it and begin to support it.
Modern astrology is talking about some analogue of this phenomenon -
about the coming transition of the Age of Pisces into the Age of Aquarius.

In meditation, the author came to know “that the Aryans (White Light Gods) left the Earth and flew to Sirius and Orion.
In the Urals, the understanding came that the Aryans lived in complete harmony with the universe, and we need to remember this miracle, return to the origins of Love.

Here is the story behind the painting:
“When I started to draw it, just a flurry of energy hit me with such force that it just turned off, I could hardly draw. They began to communicate with me from the picture, when there was only a sketch, there were not even faces. Then I realized that this picture should radiate living divine grace, healing and switching people's consciousness to more high levels consciousness, which gives joy and love, the primordial light, pouring out either subtly and gently, or in a stormy noisy stream.

Again and again I remember the words of the children that paintings are portals to another space, they are like an open gate through which we let in cleansing energy, the grace of God...

Here is what I began to discover in the "White Gods": in the lower right corner - a crystal of rebirth.
The pyramid above it is light, energy. In the background is an interplanetary base, and then - architecture, if you can call it that word, although these are not just houses in our usual sense, but spheres.
And pyramids are, first of all, crystals of time and space, energy accumulators.
These are crystalline zones on earth, where such interplanetary bases are located, and this is all natural life.
There is nothing more than this, this is a normal reality for them.
At the same time, there is a connection with the forces of nature, with the elements and elements.

"Aryan Gods Mother Lada and God Rod", 2010

"Buddha", 2007

Written and located in Ufa.

I saw the artist unexpectedly, while painting - “golden, luminous, with the most tender smile on his lips, looking at the flowers. This is how it was drawn. The flowers around the Buddha are those that grow in Puttaparthi in India."

"Shiva Pure love", 2007.

"Krishna", 1998

"Goddess Lakshmi", 2008

Was seen in Puttaparthi, but already written in Ufa.
The author continues to work on the feminine aspect.

"Goddess Saraswati", 2010

Written in India, now located in Moscow.

From the author:
“Goddess Saraswati felt to me in an unusual, non-standard way, so I painted her as she came to me. That's how I saw the swan. And the Peacock is a symbol of unmanifested deep knowledge and, in general, of everything unmanifested.

P.S.:
I managed to find a larger image.
Here you can see that the paintings are quite textured.
Small reproductions eat up all the features :(

"The place where God was born", 2006

"Feminine", 2009

"Mandala of Durga - sanity", 2010

"Three Laws of the Universe", 2009

«Time Mandala of our Universe», 2007

"Worlds and Spaces", 2011

"Mother Earth", 2007

P.P.S.:
The participants of our trip photographed this picture on Arkaim from the original.
Unfortunately, the photographer did not turn off the flash.
The canvas is large enough, textured and with overflows.

My friends!

Today I went to the long-awaited seminar " Meditative painting". I paid the money at the beginning of December last year, even before I embarked on the Path of the artist, and finally, my meeting with the Beautiful)))

Classes were led by Katya Borisova - artist of arts and crafts, designer, instructor of HATHA yoga.

Painting is one of ancient forms meditation, mastering the secrets of consciousness, the path to yourself. Meditative painting conveys information in the form of a picture, enhanced by a combination of colors and may have different meaning. You will learn the beauty of art and the joy of creativity, learn inner harmony, and be able to express your feelings and thoughts in painting.
Methods of work in the classroom are based on the natural desire of a person to express himself freely where there are no rules.
With the help of free non-objective drawing, you get access to your hidden subconscious, learn to correct it at a symbolic level, without delving into the logic of what is happening.
In fact, you are learning art rituals, like painting by primitive artists.
Thanks to abstract drawings, you can change your attitude to the past, model the future, learning to live harmoniously in the present.

Even if the only thing you ever drew was the sun, a house and a tree, and this was in your distant childhood, and you no longer remember how gouache differs from watercolor, in the classroom you will be surprised to find that you have the ability to draw There is. In the classroom, you learn not only and not so much about drawing, but about trust in yourself and your inner “I”, the development of intuition and self-expression through painting. The main thing is not the technique, but the inner content, state and energy that you put into the drawing.

The first thing we had to do was Spontaneous painting.

Katya gave us the task to make 5-6 spontaneous paintings congenial material: crayons, gouache, pencils.

Each drawing had to be done quickly, in 5 minutes.

This task opens a creative channel, occurs full immersion in the process of drawing and liberation from blocks hindering creative development.

I immediately greedily grabbed the paint.

At home, I photographed the work on the most pleasant background for me - the background of my plaid.

Now I not only hide with it, but also use it in art objects)))

The second work - wax crayons.

Of course, there was too little time. I would have depicted abundance in all its glory here, but I did not have time.

The third work - colored pencils.

Portrait in my naive style.

And the fourth - again with paints.

But then I allowed myself to be completely liberated and smeared free abstraction.

Today I was very drawn to blue, yellow, pink.

The next task is to spontaneously depict your emotions arising from different words.

"Love"

"Anger" and "Resentment".

"Joy".

The works of the participants of the seminar - Tatyana, Andrey and mine.

In the foreground is mine workplace with smeared orange paint on the table.

Then we had Intuitive Painting - getting to know mandalas and creating our own mandala.

Everyone chose a stencil that he liked, and began to paint it, thinking about the innermost.

Tanya thought about success in sports, Andrey about success at work, and I thought about getting positive energy.

Time again was not enough, I would have painted for an hour more. But Katya blew the all-clear.

Here is my mandala.

Apparently, very subtle energies are imprinted on it)))

I want my modest mandala to give you strength and inspiration!

We are accustomed to solving problems using our rational logical part of the psyche. But what to do when reason and logic remain powerless when certain situations and issues arise in our lives? Many difficulties and unsolvable problems become clear and accessible for change when a person begins to open his intuitive beginning and actively uses his hidden resources and potential.

If you want to awaken your intuition, activate not only the left (logical), but also the right (creative) hemisphere of the brain, do such a pleasant, exciting and unusual occupation like meditative intuitive painting. This is an extremely simple, but very effective and effective exercise.

Preparation for drawing.
All you need to get started is to prepare paints (watercolor, gouache or acrylic - your choice), thick sheets of paper (A3 or A4), brushes of various sizes and soothing meditative music. It is important that in the process of your drawing no one distracts or interferes with you, because at this moment you will be focused on your inner world, you will listen to the voice of intuition, feel new emotions and states.

First part of the intuitive painting session
Before you start drawing, turn on your chosen calm relaxing musical compositions. Music should not sound loud, but in the background. Take a brush in your hands and, listening to your inner feelings, choose the color that attracts you now. Start making a variety of strokes with this color, with each stroke more and more involved in the process itself, discarding all unnecessary thoughts and conclusions.

The meaning of meditative drawing is, first of all, to turn off your mind for a while, and vice versa, turn on emotions, feelings, intuition. This is an unusual and unusual activity for many people, having opened it, you will want to periodically return to it in order to relax, get a boost of energy, a surge of strength and a new vision of yourself and your issues.

When you have already managed to free your mind from mental porridge, plunge into the world of experiences and creative searches, you will notice how your own picture, which is the fruit of your subconscious and fantasy. It can be abstract or, conversely, contain specific symbols, images. Also, already in the very process of drawing, you can be visited by unexpected and amazing insights, awareness and new extraordinary ideas. If this happens, rejoice and praise yourself, you have already been able to open the door to your subconscious.

The second part of the intuitive painting session
Once you feel that your drawing is complete and you don't want to add anything else to it, just put away your brushes and paints. Fix your drawing vertically, move away from it a couple of meters and look at the picture from afar (as we usually do in art gallery). Usually, from some distance from the drawing, we can notice something new in it, as well as look at the whole drawing as a whole. Give a name to your drawing, and then come up with a story for it (it’s better to write it down with all the words that come to mind, so that later you can analyze and get another portion of new information from your subconscious and intuition).

If you like your drawing because of its energy, evokes positive emotions in you, you can decorate your house with it. In this case beneficial effect intuitive painting will last even longer. Your intuitive drawing, falling into your field of vision, will influence you, because you will subconsciously associate it with that pleasant serene state when you were in the process of creating it. Your drawing is a material confirmation of the wonderful act of pure creativity in which your soul was. If you get into such a pleasant habit - periodically draw and relax in this way - then in the near future you will fully experience the whole gamut of positive emotions and feelings: harmony, peace, tranquility, joy, delight, inspiration and much more!

We wish you creative discoveries and peace in your soul.

Dudling and zentangle

Doodling and zentangle are the directions of intuitive drawing. You take paper, pen or pencil and draw different squiggles on the sheet. Although there is some difference between doodling and zentangle, there are no special rules and requirements.
IN doodling you can start drawing from anywhere, gradually drawing the details in different sides. It can be drawn without much thought about the composition or the repeatability / non-repetition of the drawing. We draw for relaxation rather than focus and concentration. There are no proprietary patterns or paper requirements in doodling. It can be absolutely anything.

IN zentangle there are certain rules. It is drawn on squares 9 by 9 cm.
It is customary to limit the drawing area with a line (arbitrary, but still), or even with several sector lines in which different patterns are located. Zentangle is a patented drawing technique that has its own specific rules. These patterns and rules were patented by the authors of the idea - Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. They define zentangle as a form of meditative art. The process itself is a form of meditation using a pen and pencil.

Inspired by Zentangle

At the junction of doodling and zentangle, ZIA appeared - ZenInspiredArt, in Russian - Zenart *. In fact, we call zenart graphic images, containing patterns. This is a drawing technique that does not require special training skills, helping to relax, enjoy the process, learn to immerse yourself in a state of meditation, and creatively improve yourself.

Philosophy of Meditative Drawing

The world has accelerated significantly over the past 100 years. Judge for yourself:
- We fly around half the earth in 12 hours
- We go on vacation for 3-7 days
-Use fast food
We transmit thoughts over a great distance in a matter of seconds
-Learned to accelerate the growth of plants and animals
And all this speed requires compensation. It is important to be alone for a while, to slow down, to be in meditation. For me the most the best way turned out to be drawing. Of course, I don't have much time to sit at canvases and draw. My happy discovery was zenart.
It doesn't take years of study and hours of sketching. I paint for 20 minutes a day and get great pleasure and peace.

PURPOSE OF DRAWING:

CALM YOUR MIND AND GET YOUR THOUGHTS IN ORDER.

When we practice (yes, like in yoga, or in martial arts) zenart, we clear our consciousness of everything superfluous, unnecessary. Therefore, we pay the main attention to the PROCESS of drawing, and the result is secondary.
Meditative drawing is a great way to start drawing. It's much easier than oil or watercolor.

No need to study for a long time and sit for hours on sketches. 20 minutes a day is enough
You can start at any age (I read about those who started at 60 and are happy!)
Each practitioner produces their own unique masterpieces

P.S. In the Russian Federation, the name "Zenart" is a registered trademark of the Drawing City studio.
