Kristen Stewart: “Sometimes I am driven by an inexplicable force. Kristen Stewart is not afraid of experiments in her personal life and is ready to date men

23.02.2019

Stewart walks down the corridor of the Los Angeles hotel like a wild cat, instantly attracting attention. It is impossible to take your eyes off the cold look of her signature smoky eyes - you feel hypnotized. After five minutes, she answers questions very thoughtfully, choosing her words carefully. Feels like inside this fragile woman a real flame flares up when she declares her life principles. It was this hidden passion that conquered eminent directors and an audience of millions.

Four years after the success of the Twilight saga, which made her a superstar, and a high-profile breakup with co-star Robert Pattinson, Stewart returned to independent filmmaking. Today, the ex-teen idol is one of the most recognizable actresses of her generation. World-class directors make wishes for Kristen to agree to take part in their next project. Need proof? This year, she starred in Woody Allen's Café Lives at the Cannes Film Festival; and at the beginning of 2017, the mystical project Personal Shopper by Olivier Assayas and Ang Lee's military drama Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk are scheduled to be released.

Fiery temperament, spectacular external data, the zenith of world fame - the fashion world could not resist a real star. One of the first was fascinated by Karl Lagerfeld - for three years now, Kristen Stewart has been the face of the House of Chanel. In 2015, the Kaiser fashion mini-movie with her participation opened the show in Rome, and at the beginning of this year, the actress became the ambassador of the Eyes Collection 2016 makeup line of the French House. And indeed - the best frame for her eyes is hard to imagine.

ELLE Karl Lagerfeld sometimes gives the impression of a very cold and even arrogant person. Tell us about your collaboration.

K.S. Yes, I understand what you are talking about. It really has something majestic. But when you work with him, he hides it very skillfully. Carl is incredibly sweet, communicates with everyone. As far as I understand, his main desire is to convey information. He is a source of knowledge. Especially when it comes to us young people. Every time I'm around him, it feels like he wants to teach me something. He talks about artists, individual details, facts that you don't even suspect. He might say, “You should read this book…” or “You remind me of this person…” Not everything revolves around fashion. He just real artist in everything.

ELLE What kind of dark eye makeup do you choose every time - is it a way to protect, protect yourself from the outside world?

K.S. Certainly. I usually choose dark colors when tired, alert, or just not in the mood. Sometimes during red carpet prep, my makeup artist says, “We need to do something light today, your outfit calls for it. Will be cool!" And I answer him: “No, I can’t stand it! I think we need to have a good time in front of our eyes!” (Laughs.)

ELLE In the film "Personal Shopper" by French director Olivier Assayas, you play the role of a personal stylist, and two years ago in his film "Syls-Maria" you played the role of the star's assistant. Does Assayas always see you as an assistant? He doesn't want you to be a movie star?

K.S. Maybe! (Laughs). Hard to say. Olivier doesn't talk much about his work. He is rather stingy with explanations, he likes it when people have to think out a lot on their own. It's his way of making movies - he kind of becomes a catalyst for the thought process.

ELLE What is this movie about?

K.S. This movie is not about a profession, but about people and their relationships. This is a haunted story about a young woman in Paris mourning the death of her brother. In the process, you realize that the story of the heroine is a search for self-identification: she hates herself and her way of life, but she is fascinated beautiful clothes. There is something creepy about her work, but she is obsessed with it. She constantly asks questions: “Why are we here? What is the meaning of our life?

ELLE Did you discover something new in yourself thanks to this role?

K.S. I felt incredibly lonely during the filming, as my character is deliberately removed from the outside world. Plus she has a problem - heart murmurs, she is always one step away from death. Even the most insignificant scenes, not emotionally overloaded, were hard for us. I was really exhausted! You look at my face on the screen and you understand that one cannot achieve such an effect with one make-up. I looked terrible!

ELLE But that didn't bother you too much...

K.S. Not at all! It was even funny! This is exactly the borderline that I needed. It helps to feel alive. I feel sorry for those who say, “You take your job too seriously. Exhale and relax…” I don’t want to exhale! When my character is about to die in a movie, I really appreciate own life. If I wasn't filming, I would look for this feeling in other ways. It's hard to play, it's a thankless job. Sometimes you ask yourself: “Why do I need all this?” But I don't want to live any other way.

ELLE Do you feel that after another European project you have become even closer to France?

K.S. It so happened that my most fruitful working relationship was with the French. We get on really well with the Chanel people… Oh, that sounds so Parisian! (Laughs.) But this pure truth. There is something noble in all French projects that I really like. People don't have to describe dullness at all. Everyday life to sell the story. One of the facets of art is curiosity. Many of my favorite actors, such as Sean Penn or Jodie Foster, are enthusiastic about French cinema.

ELLE Have you ever been told that you look something like a Frenchwoman?

K.S. I was in France just a few days ago, and one of my friends said: “You are very suitable for Paris, and it suits you!” Sounds trite, but it's true. I feel good in this city, my performance is improving here. In Los Angeles, I lead a sedentary lifestyle, but when I get to Paris, I immediately grow wings. This city inspires me a lot.

ELLE What do you think about your career? Do you feel like you've reached your peak?

K.S. I feel happy. Most of my peers are still trying to find their place in life, to understand what they want to do. I am very proud that I had the opportunity to work with great directors. I feel energized and exhausted at the same time. Over the past two years, I managed to star in five films - this is very short period time for such a load. If before I managed to star in one such film a year, I already felt incredibly in demand. Now mine the main problem- the inability to slow down and get out of this stream. Actor play instantly sucks, you can not stop. If I wanted to, there would be no free time in my schedule for the next five years.

ELLE You play the guitar, write poetry, you are a big fan of rock and roll. Would you like to become a musician?

K.S. I really love playing the guitar. For many years, during the filming, I have been killing time in this way. Recently started learning drum set And, I must say, I succeeded a lot in this. (laughs) I would like to have my own band, but I don't like to sing. I'm not a showman. It would be nice to find someone who will work with me on vocals. It would be funny. I like to pick Right words- there is nothing more pleasant than the realization that you have found an apt expression. But it's not an easy task, especially when you're creating poetry. The problem is that I write about very complex things...

ELLE You said that being a celebrity is very difficult, especially after your breakup with Robert Pattinson and how much publicity this relationship has received worldwide. Do you still think so?

K.S. I'm used to fame, but it wasn't easy for me. Celebrities have a lot of problems too, don't think I'm complaining. Popularity is life-changing. But I don't take it as close to my heart as I used to. Once you understand that all the celebrity hype is just part of an industry that makes money from it and is run by insensitive people, you start to take it easy.

K.S. I think yes. It seems to me that our generation is more flexible and loyal. This came out not so long ago, and it's great! Besides, I'm not afraid of anything, I don't care about rumors. But I wouldn't want to love affairs became the only definition of my personality. People attribute a lot to me. It's like an endless "book of feedback and suggestions." Many people think they know everything about celebrities, which, of course, is not true. Nobody knows what is really going on in my life. I'm not hiding from anyone, I'm constantly photographed by the paparazzi. But at the same time, I never take dirty linen out of the hut. I last man who would do it.

ELLE You don't want to be a teen idol, but you also don't want to be associated with an indie actress...

K.S. My position in relation to popularity is ambiguous. There are people obsessed with fame. But I will never understand it. But at the same time, I appreciate the degree of fame that allows me to bring my work to such a large number of people. You are getting closer to humanity, which is amazing in itself. I would not like to act in pictures that no one will see. I never hide behind my characters, I really want to show myself, expose my damn soul, discover something new inside and put it into the film. But I would not like to flaunt my personal life - only feelings.

ELLE What's so special about being an actor?

K.S. Sometimes when you take good book, one gets the feeling that you are reading your own thoughts, which you have never voiced before. This is a moment of self-discovery. Acting is like that. When you get used to a character, you imagine that you went through his experience. You can learn from his experience, there is no need to repeat it in reality. You seem to be given the opportunity to live several lives.

ELLE You said that "acting can teach a woman to say no". What did you mean?

K.S. Being part of a creative team is always fun. I always tell kids who want to be actors, "You don't have to do anything you don't want to do." Of course, sometimes it's good to be guided, made to feel responsible, but at the same time, it should always be your decision.

Kristen Stewart gave an interview to the Italian magazine Grazia. We present to your attention the translation of the article.

So strange to meet Kristen Stewart in New York. We both live in LA, and today we are at the Crosby Hotel near the World shopping mall. The reason is that she is currently at the promotion of two of her new films: science fiction Woody Allen's equal and sophisticated comedy The Social Life.

At 26 years old, she is one of the highest paid actresses in the world. After many film work, she is starting a new adventure now as a director. And she craves novelty.

One of these innovations is located right on her arm and it says: "One more time with feeling." a common phrase that every director usually says to his actors, and we can actually translate it like this: "Let's shoot this scene again, but now with more feeling."

In fact, Kristen says that this is such a lifestyle: "If it doesn't work the first time, you can always try again and invest in this soul."

And even the fact that during our meeting I can’t ask anything about her personal life and relationship with Alicia Kargile, with whom she got together after breaking up with French singer Soko, today Kristen still wants to talk about feelings.
Especially because they are at the center of both of her new films: in Equals, she plays Nya, a girl who lives in a futuristic society where any kind of emotion is forbidden. But she falls in love with Silas, the guy played by Nicholas Hoult.

IN social life she is Vonnie the Chanel-dressing secretary and Jesse Eisenberg falls in love with her.

- In their recent films you had to deal with different types love: platonic love, love of a teenager, passionate love, love between two friends and with unrequited love. Which one is the most addictive?

Kristen: You can't say that one is better than the other.
You can't define love, but you can't live without it either. I behave differently with everyone: I have one relationship with my friend, and very different with my family. And even now I act differently because you are interviewing me. There are many ways to love yourself and love others.

- In Equals, you play a girl who lives in a society where people who love risk their lives.

K: Yes, and it's definitely not my type of world at all.

Conversely, in Woody Allen's High Life, your character Vonnie is forced to choose between an older but successful man played by Steve Carell and young guy No Money, played by Jesse Eisenberg. Who would you choose?

K: The film was shot in the style of the 1930s. At that time, the priority for a woman was to find someone who could take care of her. Women's independence was not even in my thoughts then. Watching the movie, you will see a girl having so much fun with the guy played by Steve Carrel. But she also discovers a quiet life, more personal with that guy without money.

You never told me who you would choose

K: I'm not comfortable choosing instead of my characters that I play. Personally, I love spending time with Jesse Eisenberg, which is why I end up staying with him.

Have you ever suffered because of love?

K: Did you suffer? I was devastated!

-And how did you deal with it?
K: Continued to live, making choices, not looking back.
First you suffer, then you realize that every minute of suffering will make you stronger and more conscious.
I would not change anything in that pain: I would rather suffer than remain insensitive. And we must remind ourselves that we ourselves are the cause of our happiness, and that we are created to fall in love. Hell, I could write one of these books to help people with broken hearts.

-Last week you appeared on the Talk Show and played twister with host Jimmy Fallon. You showed your competitive side. Have you always been like this?

K: I was the only girl in my family. My life has always been like this: "I can do it too, and I can do it this way too." I don't really want to go to extremes in every situation, but if I play, I want to win and I'm not at all afraid to say it. But usually people like you more if you just lose.

- You are a global celebrity, style icon and one of the highest paid actresses. What would you do if you could enjoy anonymity?

K: I would walk alone, or I would just go to a mall or a place full of people, not because I love malls, but because I would finally be able to see people's faces without the fear of being recognized. Sometimes I think that I only became an actress because of my curiosity about human lives.

You started acting at a young age, you were 9 when you played Jodie Foster's daughter in Panic Room. What were you curious about then?

K: Well, in the beginning, I only thought about how to get a job, come to the set and play a few lines from the script. But after discovering what a passion I have for cinema and how much art there is in creating every scene!

- We met with you in 2007 for your film "In wild environment". You were then still a young, shy, closed girl. Now you are a purposeful and self-confident woman. What else can we expect from you?

K: Film.my film. Last year I worked at five different films, and now I have a chance to realize in 3 weeks a short film that I wrote myself. I'm so happy. I have wanted to create something of my own since I was a child. And now I have a chance to do it!

- And what will the film be about?

K: The title is "Come swim" but I'll talk about it when it's ready. Starring one of my friends named Josh. He's not an actor himself, but he's phenomenal. You'll see for yourself.

- Did you ask your friend and teacher Jodie Foster for advice?

K: When I told her about the film, the first thing she said to me was: "The first thing you have to learn is that you don't have to learn anything. You're ready." She gave me courage.

- What scares you?

K: When I was a child, I was often tormented by anxiety, and I did not know what caused it. Growing up, I realized that it's normal - when you have moments of insecurity.

- Thanks to the Twilight Saga, where you were in love with a vampire played by your ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson, you became a teen icon. Are you still enjoying these perks?

K: Well, yes, no one would have given me money for my short film if I had not played Bella.

The Woody Allen film was filmed in Los Angeles- the city where you live. Do you feel at home in Hollywood?

K: I live in the East region. This is an alternative area and less touristy, like Brooklyn for New York. In the film, cinematographer Vittorio Storaro showed Hollywood in a golden glow, and this is really the place where I would like to live in California - sunny and positive.

- Well, the culmination of the film is of course Chanel dresses, in which you are the whole film. Did you manage to keep at least one of them after filming?

K: Not this time. Usually I have at least one outfit from the set, but I keep it for myself, because at the end of the shooting I always get the feeling that no one should wear the dresses of the characters that I played. This time it was different, these dresses were pure art and they were really expensive.

If I could open your closet, what would I find inside? Dresses that you wear on the red carpet?

K: One or two yes. Especially those Met Gala dresses. But basically all dresses are given on time. And in my wardrobe you would find a lot of T-shirts and sneakers.

- And that's it, nothing else?

K: Yes, but they are all very unique.

prune translation

She is shy and generally "the right girl." In her brown eyes - purity and light. And all-consuming love, with which there is no strength to cope ... However, all this is Bella Swan from the "Twilight Saga". And Kristen Stewart, who played her, is completely, completely different ...

Text: Yana Schwartz

How is it? Oh, no one will answer this question for a long time, including Chris herself. There are several reasons. Firstly, a girl at the age of 20 is still a “flower”, what a “berry” will be, it will become clear in five years. Secondly, Stewart is already secretive. No revelations to reporters. If he agrees to an interview, he gets off with general phrases. On sharp questions only his green eyes sparkle and cut short: "No comment." Yes, yes, and her eyes are not the same color as Bella Swan's! She, along with Robert Pattinson, who played the main male role in Twilight, had to put on lenses before filming to become brown-eyed. This is how meticulously the novel by Stephenie Meyer was filmed! Once the author wrote that the young vampire and his lover have brown eyes - which means no "Stuart" greens and "Pattinson" blues! .. Perhaps this is how you should approach the matter if you want to succeed. With "Twilight", in any case, everything turned out well. And the world. The picture itself won it (the fourth film - "The Twilight Saga. Breaking Dawn" - is already being filmed with might and main) and the actors that played in it, first of all, of course, Kristen and Robert.

Here they are again...

But let's not get too ahead of ourselves. Let's just say that in the last three years, Kristen's antics have literally made her head spin! The actress commits acts that are difficult to explain (she doesn’t even explain!) And which break her bright image, which has developed earlier, in the bud. But at the same time, for some reason, the new one does not appear. The swell is solid, not a girl! You read publications about Stuart - and the first thought is: he drinks blood, a flirt, from several good guys at once, maybe out of young frivolity, or maybe out of a completely mature calculation - what kind of PR turns out! But then doubts come: maybe he doesn’t drink at all, and the villain reporters slander the poor thing? .. In general, this Stewart is a dark horse. "Flower" - either charming and harmless, or carnivorous, and what will happen next, we repeat, hardly anyone knows. Except mom and dad...

family scandal

John Stewart always thought that his wife Jules had too much imagination. But he put up with it, because it was good for her work - her wife wrote scripts entertainment programs and series for the FOX TV channel. John produced and staged various shows there. In general, their family was rightly called creative. And the children - three sons: native - Cameron and two adopted, Taylor and Dan, and daughter Kristen showed obvious humanitarian abilities. It was too early to think about the future of the Stuarts Jr., but John hoped in due time to direct them in the right direction with his wise father's hand. I saw boys as lawyers or doctors. Just not TV people! It's enough that he and Jules are boiling in this hellish cauldron. And the daughter? .. He naively believed that the secretive and proud Kristen would definitely choose some serious profession. In ten or twelve years. And here's to you! Yes, the girl always liked to go with him and Jules to the studio - she would sit in the corner while her parents were working, staring. In general, like all children. Did he think that his daughter was already hatching an insidious plan - to become an actress? Filming, scenery, costumes, spotlights - that's what poisoned her fragile soul. What a scandal, however, this eight-year-old "artist" threw them with Jules ...

And the following happened. In a school performance at Christmas, the daughter was given a small role - either a sorcerer or an angel. She casually mentioned it over dinner a couple of weeks ago. When the performance took place, alas, he and his wife were busy at the studio and could not come. But among the audience were their boys, and they did not express any particular enthusiasm about the stage debut of their sister. And suddenly, unexpectedly, this sweaty fat man, a casting agent, appeared in their house and said: “Your daughter is a talent! She definitely needs to register with our acting agency. I guarantee there will be roles!” It turns out that he was at the performance, and Kristen's game struck him. What could a father answer, whose plans did not include having an artist daughter? - "Thank you, but we refuse." Before he had time to utter these words, Chris flew into the room, like a little fury (she came out, eavesdropped, the scoundrel, the conversation of adults), and immediately - tears, a cry! And not even a request - a demand: "Take me to the agency!" She calmed down only when he promised to think. Think - but disagree ... And when the passions subsided, the agent left and all the children, including the crying Kristen, fell asleep, Jules started her song about the "magic of numbers". You see, she had a presentiment that the coming 1999 would be a turning point in the fate of their daughter. Like, nine for her, born on April 9, 1990, is the most important figure. In general, my wife’s imagination was running wild, she almost world fame began to prophesy to the child! And he, John Stewart, understood: he would have to give in ...

Weird prom

But Chris had a sad secret that she hid from her parents. Only the brothers knew that the younger sister was being bullied by her classmates. “They had such entertainment - to come up to me and say: fu, how nasty you are! - the actress told reporters many years later. “I didn’t understand why they were doing this, and I suffered.” The boys (and all three are slightly older than Chris) wanted to lather the necks of the main offenders, but the sister forbade this. Out of pride - they say, I can handle it myself. However, the bullying continued, and Chris hated school fiercely. Therefore, the brothers suspected that she also went to the artist, so that under the pretext of auditions, tests, filming, she would skip classes. They were partly right, because as soon as the girl was offered the first full-fledged role in the melodrama "The Safety of Things", she began to convince her parents that now the most reasonable thing is to transfer her to home schooling. And she convinced me. That is, already at the age of 11, Chris left the hated educational institution. This happened in 2001. And in 2009, right on the set of the third part of the "Twilight Saga", she finally received a certificate of secondary education. “I know it’s a little late, but I just graduated with honors! - said the actress in an interview. - On this day, I was filming the prom scene in Eclipse and said film crew: "Hey guys, I'm actually graduating from high school, and I won't have another graduation! Can I take a photo as if for memory - me, not Bella? And the result was this picture: an actor-extra shakes my hand and gives me a certificate. And I, as expected, in a mantle and a cap.

…However, we digress. The directors seriously paid attention to Chris in 2002, after the release of the film Panic Room. She got into it, one might say, by accident. Originally the role of Sarah, daughter main character, was intended for another actress girl. But after many upheavals, during which the lead actress Nicole Kidman was replaced by Jodie Foster, Stewart was also on the list. She was chosen by the twice Oscar-winning Foster herself, marveling at their resemblance. And after the premiere, critics also noted how similar Chris' game was to Jodie's game in her youth. It was a very flattering comparison. And Chris still calls Foster among his few idols ...

After Panic Room, Stewart began acting every year, often in several films at the same time. Some roles and pictures were more successful, others less so. Among the second was the psychological teenage drama "Speak". She never came out on a wide screen, was shown only on television, although she had positive reviews. In this film, Chris got a very difficult role - the girl Melinda, who stopped communicating with people after being raped. According to the plot, she helps to cope with trouble and return to normal life. true friend David. This guy was played by handsome dark-haired burly Michael Angarano.

In bed with a vampire

She is 13 years old, he is 16. The most classic alignment for first love! It happened to Michael, that's for sure. He always flew to the shooting, as if on wings. Like a faithful knight, dragging Chris her bag, thrilled when she dozed on his shoulder during breaks. And when the film was shot, he moved from his native New York to Los Angeles, closer to Stewart. He even started surfing when he found out that this was his green-eyed girlfriend's favorite sport. She seemed to enjoy all these manifestations of feelings very much. And so does Michael.

The guy began to visit the Stuarts' house, walked with Chris her beloved dogs - Oz's collies and Jack and Lily's mongrels, admired her beloved cats - Jella and Max (although he never really respected cats), helped Chris improve in playing the guitar, walked with her to clubs and shops. In those years, even reporters did not dare to attribute closer relationships to teenagers, they only noted: “Stuart and Angarano are having an affair!” The paparazzi didn't seem to capture any of their kisses. But the pictures got into print: Michael carries Kristen on the back of his neck, and they both have a lot of fun. Indeed - a classic teenage romance in which the guy is sincerely in love, and the girl bathes in this love.

Several years have passed. Both he and she continued to act actively, however, in different pictures. And when the opportunity arose, they met again. The fans were touched: what a constancy of feelings. Actually, and Chris' invitation to leading role in Twilight, there was no change in her relationship with Michael. However, everything immediately went according to a strange scenario.

Stewart was the first person director Katherine Hardwicke approved for the role. She didn't even have any rivals. What can not be said about Robert Pattinson. Prior to that, Hardwick had looked through 500 applicants for the vampire Edward Cullen. It is not known whether with each of these young men the director forced Chris to play love scene to understand if I got to the point with the choice, but with Robert it turned out that way. The Briton had just flown in from England when he got... into Katherine Hardwicke's bunk. It was in the house and on her bed that auditions took place: a scene of passion between Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. Katherine was satisfied and approved Robert for the role. She later admitted: “I told Robert: don’t even think about having an affair with her! Chris is not yet eighteen. You will be jailed!" And the shooting of the first part of the "vampiriade" did without passions-muzzles.

An offer of marriage

But then the strange thing started. The same Katherine Hardwicke told reporters that Chris herself confessed to her: they say, she has a “relationship” with Pattinson, and they began while working on the second part of the saga. Why would a director lie? But in all the other, it must be said, rather rare cases, when the newspapermen managed to squeeze Stewart with the question: “Is it true that you and Robert are having an affair?”, The girl invariably answered: “We are connected only by friendship.” And Pattinson echoes her. Meanwhile, they are constantly seen together. A certain Diane Nutley, allegedly Robert's aunt, trumpeted to the whole world that her nephew and Chris secretly flew to Paris - where Robert introduced the bride to his parents. So why reveal the secret? And a certain Gordon Rael, who called himself a friend of the couple, told the newspapers: “The guys are already looking for a house in which they intend to live together. Chris wants it to be spacious and beautiful." And another friend of Pattinson, who wished to remain anonymous, said that Robert, tired of Chris throwing between him and Michael, demanded that the girl finally make a choice. From the "main characters" themselves - no comments. At the same time, they are caught either kissing at a Kings of Leon concert, or having dinner by candlelight at Cecconi's restaurant ... By the way, this meal took place after the MTV Movie Awards, at which Stewart and Pattinson won in the nominations " Best Actor», « Best Actress and... "Best Kiss"! How can you not decide that there is no smoke without fire?

So poor Michael came to that conclusion. So I rushed to film set the third part of "Twilight" in Vancouver and made Chris an offer. She refused. Rather, she asked me to wait - they say, I decided to get married only after 25 years. Here is how one of Angarano's friends commented on this story: “Michael agreed. He loves Kristen so much that he would do anything for her. And she does not believe that there is something between her and Robert. That would be too mean." However, after a few months, there were reports in the press about the breakup of their relationship. Michael was the initiator. Apparently, the guy despaired of sorting out the feelings of his beloved Chris. Or learned something that others do not know.

Meanwhile, the girl energetically gives reasons for new gossip. For some reason, she began to smoke a pipe and appear in public in such a way that the words “alcohol” and “marijuana” began to flash next to her name in tabloid articles. And then she completely appeared on the pages of newspapers at the moment of a hot kiss with ... Dakota Fanning, a friend and colleague in the "vampiriade". It was then that the journalists remembered Kristen all her enthusiasm for Jodie Foster and her all-round similarity. She, as you know, does not hide her lesbian addictions.

To date, the fog around the bright image of Kristen Stewart is not dissipating, but on the contrary, it is only getting thicker. More recently, there have been reports that she has dumped Robert and is now dating him. best friend by British actor Tom Sturridge. Can you finally fall in love for real? Or, nevertheless, having chosen the path of acting as a very small girl, she prefers to play only in life? ..

IN 2002, 12-YEAR-OLD KRISTEN STEWART PLAYED JODIE FOSTER'S DAUGHTER IN THE THRILLER "SCANER ROOM" - AND IN HER WE IMMEDIATELY SEE THE FUTURE STAR. 6 YEARS LATER, KRISTEN GOT THE MAJOR ROLE IN THE FILM "TWILIGHT" - A SCREENSION OF STEPHANIE MAYER'S NOVEL OF THE SAME NAME ABOUT THE ORDINARY GIRL'S LOVE FOR AN UNUSUAL VAMPIRE (HE PLAYED BY ROBERT PAPINSON). ELLE GIRL GEMMA WATSON TALKED TO ELLE GIRL ABOUT WHY THIS FILM AND THIS ROLE ARE DEEDED TO CULT STATUS.

Kristen Stewart: VAMPIRE GIRL
So you understand why everyone loves this book - "Twilight" so much?
Yes. I understand people who are literally obsessed with this book because it is really addictive. You sink into it very quickly and you can no longer tear yourself away.
When you read the novel, what scenes did you want to be sure to include in the film?
There are several truly iconic moments in this film. For example, the recognition of Edward (the vampire with whom the heroine Kristen Bella is in love. - Ed.), who he really is. He shows Bella his true face, which shines and shines in sunlight and he is ashamed. Bella looks at Edward and thinks that she has never seen anything more beautiful in her life, and he is ashamed at the same time! Here is the scene!
Do you have anything in common with your character Bella?
Bella is very life character. This is probably also why all the girls are so passionate about Twilight. You read a book and easily imagine yourself in the place of the heroine. The story develops very realistically, and you understand that Bella is a living person. She experiences everything that any 17-year-old girl experiences. I feel good too ordinary girl, so we certainly have something in common.
What traits of Bella are especially close to you?
Her independence and self-confidence. She goes her own way through life, she accepts things as they are, does not overestimate and is not afraid of them. Even when something incredible happens, Bella just lets it happen. In that sense, she is stronger than Edward. Because he's suffering, he thinks he's doing something wrong, he's afraid of getting hurt, he's trying to avoid Bella. And she seems to be telling him: “You can’t run away from yourself all your life!”
Is it true that Rob Pattinson proposed to you?
Yes. I mean, I don't know how serious he was, but it's true.
How did it happen?
Yes, somehow by itself ... We spent a lot of time together, experienced so much ... Noah, in fact, I'm already dating another guy, so I'll have to refuse him. (Laughs.)
By the way, what kind of guys do you like? Is there any type of personality that you are particularly attracted to?
It's so funny that everyone is asking about it! To an ordinary person on the street you wouldn't ask such a question if I'm an actress - so it's in the order of things ... Well, okay. It seems to me that many women are attracted to guys who are weaker than themselves. We want to console them, to show maternal care. On the other hand, all women are attracted to what they cannot have, the effect of the forbidden fruit is triggered. Tell us that we cannot have something and we will strive for it. I think I have both of these qualities, but I don't know for sure...
Do you like vampiric men?
Yes, I love vampires! They are incredibly sexy.
Why do you think so?
Probably because the classic purpose of a vampire is to lure the victim and bring him to a state of complete submission, to the point where he can drink her blood or even kill her and she will not mind at all. There is something sexy about it - when you give yourself to something or someone entirely.
and completely...
But this is all theory. What if you met a vampire in real life, what would you do?
In the context of our story, I would watch what I think about, because vampires can read minds! Although this does not apply to me. Bella has a special power that prevents vampires from looking into her head. And you, if you meet with a vampire, try to think of something good.
Were you really scared while filming?
You mean: wasn't I afraid that Rob would bite me after all? No, because there were hundreds of people around us all the time! (Laughs.)
Your heroine is a schoolgirl, partly still a child. Do you feel more like a teenager or an adult woman?
I am 18 years old. This is a provocative question! (Laughs.)
They won't sell me a drink at a bar, but I can drive a car. I think that when a person realizes himself as a person, he can be considered an adult. I have always had this awareness somewhere inside, and now that society has recognized it and I have a little more rights, I am very pleased!
