Mirror pencil drawing. Mirror painting with preschoolers

01.04.2019

Hello again!
Question: And how is it done?- Doesn't leave me when I see interesting work on the Internet, and not only there ... And the process immediately begins ... I want to sit down at the computer and create ...))))

In this lesson we will try to draw just such a mirror.
It is done simply, but it turns out beautifully - it may come in handy for someone ...

Creating a New Document...

…and fill the New or Background layer with 50% gray ( Edit-Fill... - Edit-Fill...).
Then, above - on a New layer create Rectangular Selection (RectangularMarqueeTool) with feathering ( Feather) approximately 45 pix.
And fill #bebebe grey.

With a tool Ellipse(EllipseTool) or Oval Highlight (EllipticalMarqueeTool) draw an oval of any color.

Now let's start turning a simple oval into a mirror!
Apply to a layer with an oval (if the oval is drawn using a shape, it is better to rasterize the layer - RMB-rasterize layer- Rasterizelayer) the following Layer styles (Layer-layerstyle):

And again, above - on a New layer we create an oval, but smaller, color #d0d0d0.
Add a layer style to this Stroke (Stroke) as we did before.

So we did facet mirrors.
Something is usually reflected in the mirrors .... Surprisingly)))))
Let's add a window reflection.

Using the tool Rectangular Selection (RectangularMarqueeTool), draw white rectangle on a new layer.
And then, using the same tool, we cut out unnecessary details (we use Selection -Transform Selection -Select-TransformSelection).

You can choose the shape of the window yourself.
Apply Gaussian Blur Filter (Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur) radius 15 pixels. And we put Opacity(Opacity) layer 85% .

Slightly distort the window using Transform distortion (Edit-Transform-Distort).
Copy the window layer. We remove the visibility of the copy.
And now we remove the extra parts around the mirror.
To do this, go to the layer with a small oval, create a selection of this layer ( ctrl+ click on the layer icon), invert the resulting selection ( Shift+ctrl+I) and on the layer with the window click Delete-Delete.
Here's what happens.

Now, on a New Layer below the mirror, create an oval selection ( EllipticalMarqueeTool) with feathering ( Feather) 10 pixels. Let's call it bright spot.
And fill #bababa.
We put Opacity(Opacity) layer 80% .

Make the copy of the layer with the distorted window visible and flip it vertically Edit-Transform-Flip Vertical ( Edit-Transform-FlipVertical).
We dock the reflection of the window on the mirror and on the surface. This layer will be called Light spot 1.

Create a layer selection bright spot(being on the layer, ctrl+ click on the layer icon), invert the selection and remove unnecessary details of the layer Light spot 1.
Opacity(Opacity) for this layer do 30% .

And again using the oval selection tool ( EllipticalMarqueeTool), draw as shown in the screenshot with feathering 45 pixels:

Invert the resulting selection ( Shift+ctrl+I).
AND Eraser (EraserTool) With Opacity(Opacity) 50% with a soft brush, erase a little on the layers bright spot And Light spot 1.

Now let's add a shadow.
We stand on the layer with a large oval and create a selection of this layer ( ctrl+ click on the layer icon).
Switch to the Quick Mask state ( EditinQuickMaskmode) and apply Gaussian Blur Filter (Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur) radius 10 pixels. Exiting the quick mask state ( Editinstandardmode).
Below (under the mirror) create a New Layer and fill the selection with color #666666 .
Slightly reduce the shadow vertically and move it to the side.

We are done with the mirror itself.
But I want to add something… you probably heard about decorating mirrors with pieces of baked glass? fusing called. So, let's draw this. Forward …)))
With a tool Feather (pentool) draw a leaf (it is better to save the outline in order to draw only once - double click on the outline).

And on the New layer (above the mirror) we draw a simple ornament.
With the selected tool - directSelectionTool and the active path, being on a new layer, right-click and select Fill -Fill...).

It doesn't look like glass...
Therefore, for greater plausibility, we use Filter Texture (Filter-texture-Texturizer):

And slightly weaken the effect of applying the filter: Edit - Weaken Texture - Edit-Fade-Texturizer(reduce the percentage). This step is done immediately after applying the filter!
It would not hurt to show the volume of the glass (add Layer Styles):

AND Opacity(Opacity) layer to reduce to about 90% .
Here you go! Work is done! Rate the result!
You can slightly mute the white stroke in dark parts mirrors.

Fantasies on the topic:

With best wishes,

In this article we want to talk about a thing that no one can do without. modern man. It's about how to draw a mirror. A total of five will be dismantled step by step examples. Even if you do not know how to draw beautifully, following the steps presented in this article, as a result, you will get a beautiful drawing!

Mirror from a fairy tale

Our first example will be magical, it is dedicated to how to draw a mirror from a fairy tale about dead princess. It is made in vintage style from wooden materials.

The first thing we need to do is sketch out the outlines. Do this with a pencil, because in the future we will erase them with an eraser.

Let's start detailing our mirror. The picture below shows our previous sketches in red, and the patterns in blue that you need to draw at this stage. There are never too many patterns, and if you want, you can quite add something from yourself.

We take an eraser and delete all unnecessary auxiliary lines. We won't need them anymore. Then draw the remaining lines with a black felt-tip pen.

Now we take colored pencils and color the resulting drawing. The main color in this case will be brown.

Reflection of a girl in the mirror

This example is both complex and interesting. Here we will learn how to draw a reflection in a mirror. In this particular example, the girl is painting her lips with lipstick, but you can draw anything or anyone in front of the mirror after you learn the drawing technique.

We will not get hung up on details that are not related to the topic of the article, so we will simply depict a girl sitting with her back to us.

In front of her draw a table and large mirror in which it will look. If you work on this drawing step by step, then it may not seem so complicated, but if you immediately start drawing all possible elements, then your eyes will simply run wide different sides.

Most interesting stage— draw a reflection in the mirror!

Take a pack of colored pencils and color our drawing. We want to draw your attention to the dress. In order not to paint over it with a solid red color, but to add a little volume, we will make some places light, almost white.

cute example

The third way of drawing will be very unusual, here we will learn how to draw a mirror with a pencil, but not an ordinary one, but a cute one with a face! It will wink at us!

Let's draw the outer contours. Draw a small hole in the shape of a heart at the bottom of the handle, and add a bow on the side.

Let's move on to detailing our mirror. Let's draw an oval of glass, and inside it we will draw a cute face.

Now let's take the felt-tip pens and color the drawing.

Since we are drawing living things, we should not depict them alone on an empty sheet. If you have space left, then next to it you can paint on more of the same fun subjects.

Rectangular with stand

Let's look at a couple more simple paragraphs. In this we will learn how to draw a rectangular mirror with a stand step by step. It is very convenient to take it on trips, as it does not take up much space, and thanks to the stand it will stand steadily on any surface.

Making it simple pencil sketch. Do not make it too bold, because in the future we will circle some lines with a marker, and some we will simply erase with an eraser. We need this stage only so that we outline the guidelines for the future drawing.

And now we take a black marker and circle the lines. Let's start with the frame and glass.

We won't draw any reflection, as it's out of place for this example. Just shade some elements and the work can be considered finished.

Simple drawing for kids

The last lesson in this article is great for beginner artists or a child. In it, we will figure out how to draw a mirror for children. Despite the fact that this lesson is designed for a child, there is nothing shameful in the fact that an adult will draw it!

At the first stage, we draw a simple oval.

Then we circle the oval with an outer contour, leaving a place for mounting the stand.

Adding the stand itself. As you may have noticed, we did not color this drawing, if you wish, you can use colored pencils and paint the mirror in your favorite colors.

A mirror is a smooth surface that reflects light or other radiation. It comes in a variety of forms and types. And since a mirror has the property of reflecting objects, learning to draw it is better without reflection, which is not at all difficult to do.

How to draw a mirror

To draw a mirror, you will need: landscape sheet, eraser, ruler, medium (HB) and soft (B) pencils. And here is how to draw a mirror with a pencil:

  • First, draw a 11 x 18 cm rectangle on paper, slightly rounding its edges.
  • Stepping back 2 cm from each edge, inside the rectangle we draw another one of the same. This way we get the frame of the mirror.
  • With a soft pencil, start painting over the inner rectangle, making soft and smooth lines.
  • With a medium pencil, paint over half of the mirror on the left.
  • Lightly blend the painted parts. This can be done with your finger or a small piece of paper.
  • Again, add some lines in the top left and bottom right corners of the mirror.

Make a pattern inside the frame. For example, you can draw an ornament in the form of waves, consisting of semicircles or curls. To the left of the frame, add a small shadow and blend it.

How to draw a reflected object

Drawing an object reflected in a mirror is a little more difficult. For example, let's try to draw a vase. Place it on the left side of the mirror to make the composition look more interesting. The reflection will repeat the shape of the vase, but at a slight slope. Draw the silhouette of a vase in the mirror, color it with a medium pencil. Make the left side of the vase a little darker, add a shadow.

How to draw a mirror with a handle

If you want to draw a fabulous mirror with a handle, then you will need the same materials as for a large mirror.

First, mark the place on the sheet in the form of a rectangle where your mirror will be, making light, barely noticeable lines. Then divide this rectangle with lines into three parts.

Make the bottom element a little larger than the rest. There will be a pen in this place. Erase the line at the top of the rectangle. You should end up with two rectangles of different sizes.

Draw a vertical line through the center of both rectangles. Then through the center of the upper quadrangle we make another horizontal line. In places where the lines touch the sides of the rectangle, we put dots. Draw an oval for these points. After that, inside we draw another oval.

Diagonal line divide the inner oval into two fragments. The top should be a little bigger. It needs to be painted soft pencil and blend, leaving a small light area at the bottom. Then make the top of the mirror a little darker.

The handle can be drawn different shapes. For example, in the form of an elongated rectangle. You can make the handle expand towards the bottom and resemble a drop in shape. The frame can also be customized to your liking. For example, by drawing or a pattern of circles of various shapes.

For us, this type of drawing is useful in that it contributes to the development of interaction between the right and left hemispheres of the brain of babies and adults: the exercise is useful at any age.

Mirror drawing

Drawing with two hands at the same time helps to form a sense of symmetry, which is lacking in some schoolchildren, which adversely affects the assimilation of mathematics. It is also used as a method of art therapy, which relieves excessive anxiety in schoolchildren and adults.

We start with the so-called double doodling - mirror drawing with both hands.

Double doodling options:

  1. tracing the drawing with two hands;
  2. actual mirror image.

Circle with two hands

Let's start by tracing the drawing. Such drawing can be started quite early - at 1.5-2 years.

The drawing is simple, with a minimum of detail (house below). We intentionally draw an extraneous (not related to the drawing) line. She helps the kids initial stage distinguish between the right and left parts of the picture, find a point to start drawing. Older children can be explained that this is a special line. If a sheet of paper is bent along it, then the halves of the pattern will match. About the importance of understanding symmetry for learning here.

Teaching with two-year-old Seryozha

A two-year-old is not able to complete the task on his own. You can follow our example.

Take a board, attach a drawing to it with masking (paper) tape. The adhesive tape will fix it. Sit on the floor, put the child on the floor between your legs with your back to you. A board with a drawing in front of you.

Give your child a felt-tip pen (or marker) in each hand. The child holds the markers, and you are his hands. Place the tips of the felt-tip pens at one point - the top of the roof. We begin to trace the drawing with both felt-tip pens at the same time, but in different directions. Make sure that none of the hands "is not in a hurry." The meaning is in the simultaneity of actions.

Older children can do mirror drawing on their own. But don't leave them alone, especially at first.

Seven-year-old Artyom could not put him to work left hand. The right one glided easily over the drawing, while the left one barely moved. The guys advised Artyom to stop right hand which he couldn't do either. Such a picture during drawing is evidence of a weak interaction between the hemispheres. The left one carries the main load, while blocking the right one. The boy needed external help: an adult sat next to him and held his right hand, limiting its movements so that the left could keep up with her.

Let's make the task harder. Children 3 years old and older can practice tracing with both hands a drawing drawn with a dashed line.

Outlining symmetrical pattern With both hands, we advise you not to skip, focusing on the age of the guys. If the tracing works well, just reduce the time for it.

Drawing with two hands

Actually double dudling is available to older children and is performed in two ways:

  1. based on part of the drawing (drawing),
  2. freehand drawing

I write “older”, without being tied to the “passport” age, because many factors influence the skill of two-handed drawing, and a four-year-old can completely overtake a six-year-old. Each child progresses at their own pace here. Comparison only with himself, and not with Vasya or Petya.

Reliance on part of the drawing

Draw half of the object: for the right-hander - the left, for the left-hander - the right. We fix the sheet with half of the pattern with paper tape. In each hand, a felt-tip pen. The leading hand draws the missing part of the object, and the "subordinate" circles the drawn half.

No support on part of the drawing

Free work with two hands is best to start with scribbles. Drawing with two hands starts from the line of symmetry. Both hands try to reproduce the same but symmetrical look. I repeat: the main thing is the simultaneous work of both hands. From doodles you can go to simple drawings: house, tree, flower, etc.

And you can draw two drawings at the same time. It will look like this.

Wet sand is perfect, which diversifies summer rest. We draw with fingers or a stick.

Art therapy

Double doodling - great option art therapy. Good for anxious kids high level self-control. We draw with paints: gouache is better for children. You can also take acrylic paints, but they have a drawback: they dry quickly. Art therapists believe that drawing with two hands removes fears and blocks.

Entry into the topic step by step

  1. alternating drawing with the right and left hand;
  2. draw with both hands at the same time: we go from simple to complex (first scribbles, then objects);

Mirror drawing- it is not easy even for adults, so 2 conditions are important: slowness and systematic work. This will undoubtedly have a positive effect on the education of children and the development of their minds. Site Non-standard children wishes you success.

Would you like, however, to be convinced of this similarity? You have a mole on your right cheek - your double right cheek clean, but there is a spot on the left cheek,

which you don't have on this cheek. you comb-

back to normal.

Finally, your mirror double has one peculiarity: he is left-handed. He writes, sews, eats with his left hand, and if you express your readiness to greet him, he will extend his left hand to you.

It's not easy to decide if your doppelgänger is literate. In any case, he is somehow literate in a special way. You will hardly be able to read a single line from that book. which he is holding, or some word in those scribbles which he draws with his left hand.

Such is the man who claims to be exactly like you! Do you want to judge him appearance yourself...

Joking aside, if you think that when you look in the mirror you see yourself, you are wrong. The face, torso and clothing of most people are not strictly symmetrical (although we usually do not notice this): the right half is not quite similar to the left. In the mirror, all the features of the right half pass to the left, and vice versa, so that before us is a figure that often produces a completely different impression than our own.

Drawing in front of a mirror

non-identity specular reflection with the original appears even more noticeably in the next experiment.

Place a mirror vertically on the table in front of you, put a piece of paper in front of it and try to draw some shape on it, for example, a rectangle with diagonals. But at the same time, do not look directly at your hand, but follow only the movements of the hand reflected in the mirror (Fig. 99).

You will see that such an easy-looking task is almost impossible. For many years, our visual impressions and motor sensations have managed to come into a certain correspondence. The mirror breaks this connection, as it presents the eyes of the movement of our hand in a distorted form. Long-standing habits will protest against your every movement: you want to draw a line to the right, but the hand pulls to the left, etc.

Rice. 99. Drawing in front of a mirror.

You will encounter even more unexpected oddities if, instead of a simple drawing, you try to draw more complex figures in front of a mirror or write something while looking at the lines in the mirror: a comical confusion will come out!

Those prints that are obtained on blotting paper are also images that are mirror-symmetrical. Look at the writing on your blotting paper and try to read it. You can't make out a single word, even a perfectly distinct one: the letters have an unusual slope to the left, and most importantly, the sequence of strokes in them is not the one you are used to. But put a mirror to the paper at a right angle - and you will see all the letters in it written the way you are used to seeing them. The mirror gives a symmetrical reflection of what is itself a symmetrical image of ordinary writing.

calculated haste

We know that in a homogeneous medium, light propagates in a straight line, that is, in the fastest way. But the light chooses the fastest path also in the case when it does not go from one point to another directly, but reaches it, having previously been reflected from the mirror.

Let's follow his path. Let the letter A in fig. 100 indicates the light source, line MN is the mirror, and line ABC is the path of the beam from the candle to the eye C. The line KB is perpendicular to MN .

According to the laws of optics, the angle of reflection 2 is equal to the angle of incidence1. Knowing this, it is easy to prove that of all possible ways from A to C, with a passing mirror MN, the path ABC is the fastest. To do this, let's compare the path of the ray ABC with some other one, for example with ADC (Fig. 101). Drop a perpendicular E from the point

A on MN and continue it further until it intersects with the continuation of the beam BC at point F. Let's also connect the points F and D. First of all, let's make sure that triangles ABE and FBE are equal. They are rectangular, and they have a common cathe; in addition, the angles EFB and EAB are equal to each other, since they are respectively equal to the angles 2 and 1. Therefore, AE = FE . This implies the equality of right-angled triangles AED and FED along two legs and, therefore, the equality of AD and FD.

In view of this, we can replace the path ABC with the path FBC equal to it (since AB \u003d FB ), and the path ADC with the path FDC . Comparing the lengths of FBC and FDC , we see that the straight line FBC is shorter than the broken line FDC . Hence the path ABC is shorter than ADC , which is what was required to be proved!

Wherever point D is, the path ABC will always be shorter than the path ADC , unless the angle of reflection is equal to the angle of incidence. This means that light really chooses the shortest and fastest path of all possible between the source, the mirror and the eye. This circumstance was first pointed out by the remarkable ancient Greek mechanic and mathematician Heron of Alexandria.

The burning stack problem

Knowing the shortest path in cases like those just considered can sometimes serve us well in practical life. Imagine, for example, that a man from his house (Fig. 102) on the river bank noticed that a haystack

Rice. 102. Burning haystack problem: find the shortest path to the haystack.

Rice. 103. Solution of the burning haystack problem.

hay in a meadow at a distance caught fire. Grabbing a bucket, he runs to the river and, scooping up water, hurries to the haystack. For simplicity, let's say that with a full bucket, he runs as fast as with an empty one. Which way should he run in order to reach the place of fire as soon as possible?

It is easy to see that this problem is quite similar to the one we have just considered. Therefore, it is not difficult for you to give the correct answer: the runner must imitate a ray of light, i.e., head towards the shore so that Angle 1 is equal to angle 2 (Fig. 103). We have already seen that in this case the path will be the shortest.

New and old about the kaleidoscope

Everyone knows good toy, called "kaleidoscope" (Fig. 104): a handful of colorful fragments is reflected in two or three flat mirrors and forms an amazing beautiful figures, varying in various ways at the slightest turn of the kaleidoscope. Although the kaleidoscope is quite well known, few people suspect what a huge number of different shapes can be obtained with it. Let's say you hold a kaleidoscope with 20 pieces of glass in your hands and rotate it 10 times per minute to get a new arrangement of reflective pieces of glass. How long will it take you to review all the resulting
