Bane is the dark knight. Criticism and reviews

15.03.2019

bane (Bane) was born in prison, and had to spend his whole life there for the crimes of his father. Since childhood, he began to improve his body and mind. He read all the books he could get, spent long hours in the prison "rocking chair" and interacted with the prisoners, who became his mentors. He committed his first murder at the age of eight.

As a child, Bane considered a teddy bear to be his only friend. This teddy bear not only consoled the future supervillain, but also really helped out - Bane kept a knife in it, which he used for self-defense.

When Bane grew up, he became the main authority in the prison. Strong, healthy, smart - the perfect sample for testing the experimental super-drug "Poison" (Venome). The trouble is that all the other test subjects did not survive the test. But Bane survived, even became much stronger and more resilient. True, he developed a rigid dependence on the Poison - Bane had to feed on the Poison every 12 hours in order to remain as strong and strong.

Bane had repeated nightmares starring a giant bat. Having escaped from prison, Bane decided to attack Gotham in general and Batman in particular - partly to prove his superiority, partly to gain control of the city, which is ruled by fear, like its prison. Well, at the same time - to defeat his old mouse nightmare.

Being a savvy guy, Bane did not immediately go to Batman with his fists, knowing that he would definitely lose, but instead blew up Arkham, releasing a lot of supervillains from there like the Scarecrow, and even the Hatter. For three long months, Batman lived on caffeine and slept on a minimum in order to catch everyone. And when the Dark Knight was mentally and physically exhausted, Bane came to visit him, deducing Batman's true identity. Came and beat Bats and broke his back, which has already become a legend in the world of comics. The man who broke the Bat.

However, Bane did not calculate that Batman would return soon enough - though not in the form of Bruce Wayne. Wayne's friend and ally, Jean-Paul Whalley, also known as " ", became the new Batman. To fight Bane, he built a reinforced suit with armored plates, metal claws, and wrist cannons that fire sharpened mini-batarangs. The new Batman beat and tortured Bane to the point where the recent victor and mousebreaker begged Jean-Paul to die. However, Batman at least in some way remained Batman. Defeated and humiliated, Bane was handed over to the police and imprisoned in the rebuilt Arkham.

Bane has crossed paths with Bruce Wayne more than once, but has never defeated him so unambiguously. But one day something happened that was quite difficult to predict. While searching for information about his father, Bane learned that his mother was quite close to Dr. Thomas Wayne, Bruce's father. Which means Batman could be Bane's brother. For a while, Bane became an ardent ally Dark Knight, even insisted that his name was not "Bane", but "Wayne". When it turned out that there was no relationship between the Mouse and the Mousebreaker, Bane went on a “solo voyage”.

Bain managed to watchmaker (Hourman) nerves - after learning that his enhancing drug, Poison, was based on Miraclo, a substance that gives the Clockmaker strength, Bane kidnapped the Watchmaker Sr. (Rex Tyler) and wanted to force the younger (Rick Tyler) to take Venom and become addicted, but in the end the heroes outwitted Bane and brought the building down on him. And Bane managed to become part of the Suicide Squad.

When Batman went missing after battling Darkseid (and went back in time), Bane, purely out of respect for him and his lieutenants, stood up to protect the city in a way. He even obeyed when Nightwing ordered him to stop his "watches", as he believed that Dick Grayson - the only hero worthy of becoming the new Dark Knight.

After Flashpoint, in the new DC Universe, Bane learned that he was still far from Batman in terms of intimidating effect, so he came to the brilliant conclusion - he had to become Batman. Bane built himself a Bat-Suit, hit Croc on the head, but never became a real Batman.

Forced to serve a life sentence for his father's crimes, Bane was born and raised in an underground prison, Peña Duro. There, he built himself up to the pinnacle of physical and mental potential all without going out. Fleeing to Gotham City, Bane turned herself against Batman and became known as "The Man Who Broke the Bat".

Bane's origin

Born into a life sentence for his father's crimes, he was raised from birth in a harsh prison known as Dura Peña ("Hard Rock") in the Caribbean Republic of Santa Prisca. He was named Bane by the warden after his first murder as a teenager, and as he grew to an adult hood he became the most feared and respected inmate, the "king" of Pena Duro. Gifted with physical prowess and natural intelligence, he used his time in study, meditation and exercise to hone his body and mind to the peak of human potential.

His father, who would eventually be known as Edmund Dorrens aka King Snake, was known to be a revolutionary in Santa Prisca. Edmund managed to escape imprisonment and had the corrupt government charge his crimes on his unborn child.

Life became hellish for the baby after birth as he feared the violent nature of the prison, fearing that every day might be his last. Protected by both Zombie and Trogg, who were also inmates in the prison, the child's survival was still at stake. Bane developed a strong sense of survival from the vision he received after getting attacked. The child finally found the courage to kill while being confronted by one of the inmates - using the knife hidden in his teddy bear.

Having received the wrong attention by the Warden and taken into isolation for his murders, the child realized that courage, dedication and strengthening of both mind and body were his only ways to survive. Calling himself Poison, he taught the body through the most environment when his isolation cell flooded for several nights. After his release from isolation, Bane continued his intensive training, studying any literature he found in prison. Self-taught in the fields of strategy, philosophy, languages, mathematics, grammar, and more, Bane evolved into the ultimate killing machine that even the guards feared.

It would be stories from another inhabitant, Byrd, about a Gotham City monster known as Batman who would inspire Bane to run away and seek new "prisons" to conquer. Meanwhile, the Warden tried to rid himself of Bane and assigned him to participate in an experiment to create a super powered soldier with a steroid like drug known as Poison. They injected Poison into Poison, nearly killing him, as happened with numerous items in front of him. Believing he was dead, Bane was thrown into the sea, where he freed himself. Returning to the prison, Bane held the Warden hostage, escaping by helicopter. With his inmate friends fleeing beside him, Bane traveled to Gotham to embark on his destiny to be king. His first move was hunting down this Batman breaking him.

Creation

Bane was created by Chuck Dixon, Doug Moench and Graham Nolan and first appeared in Batman: Vengeance of the Bane #1. He was conceived as a darker take on Doc Savage with inspiration from the Count of Monte Cristo and Mexican luchador culture. The use of the steroid Poison appeared earlier in the Poison Batman story.

character evolution

Characterized initially as an immoral product of a corrupt prison system and an unscrupulous super-soldier program, yet ultimately doomed to great things, Bane has been shown to be wild in physical combat and shrewdly calculating in matters of strategy. The venom made him more powerful than most of his opponents, allowing him to defeat the likes of Killer Crocodile, Robin, and even Batman himself. Jean-Paul Vallee, assuming the mantle of the Bat, exploited this reliance on the drug and handed Bane a crushing defeat.

In Vengeance of the Bane II, Bane would defeat his addiction to Poison and turn away from his desire to conquer, resolving that he was "innocent". Deciding to find his father, Bane's search for his past and subsequent ransom, would be a driving force for several years, with occasional errors, under the influence of Ra's al Ghul.

Scott Beatty was the writer to show that Bane was the son of King Snake. Upon meeting his father, Bane found his desire. This saw a turn in characterization, back to more overt menace. Gail Simone wrote Poison in The Secret Six, exploring his own approach to parenthood with Scandal Savage, as well as his relentless craving for Poison and his lack of direction since defeating Batman. He was shocked to find that he was destined for Hell, causing him to question his self perceived "innocence".

Often portrayed in other media as more of a brute and less of a tactician, this take appeared in The New 52, heavily influenced by the popular video game Arkham Asylum. He is now revealed as a villain hired by the Court of Owls to kill Calvin Rose in Talon's book.

Major story arcs

Poison escaped Peña Duro, along with several accomplices, his friends Trogg, Zombie and Byrd. His ambition turned to the destruction of Batman, which he heard stories about while serving his sentence. He was fascinated by Gotham City, like a prison, it was a place where fear ruled: in this case, the fear of Batman. Bane was convinced that the demonic bat that had haunted his dreams since childhood was related to Batman.

Knowing that a direct attack on Batman would be foolish, Bane destroyed the walls of Arkham Asylum, allowing a horde of all its insane occupants, including the Joker, the Scarecrow, the Mad Hatter, the Ventriloquist, Firefly, Two-Face, and Zsasz, to escape to Gotham City. While Batman spent months surrounding them, driving himself to the brink of exhaustion, Bane consolidated power in the Gotham underground. When the time was right, Bane customized his three partners' gauntlet for the Dark Knight, whom he barely outlived. Then, when Batman returned to Wayne Manor, Bane was waiting. The fight was quick and one sided as Batman simply didn't have anything else. How death blow Bane broke Batman's spine and left him paraplegic.

Bane was firmly established as the ruler of Gotham's criminal underworld and saw no problem. Desparate, Bruce Wayne transferred the mantle of Batman to Jean-Paul Vallee, also known as Azrael. Using complex combat suits in place of Batman's traditional uniform, he fought Venom and defeated him by severing the tubes that pumped Venom into his bloodstream, causing severe failure. Vale then gave the weakened Bane a vicious beating, leaving him alive but broken.

At Blackgate Penitentiary, Bane exonerates himself and beats his addiction to Poison. He then escapes and begins a journey to unravel his past, most notably his father's identity. Before leaving Gotham, he runs into an equally rejuvenated Bruce Wayne, once again Batman. Together, they defeat a group of Poison-enhanced bank robbers. Parting ways, Bane indicates that he is "innocent" and Batman should leave him be.

The search for the poison of his unknown father began from his birthplace in a prison in Santa Prisca. Finding the oldest inhabitant, who was a Jesuit Priest, Bane learns that one of the four men may have been his father. One suspect was a revolutionary hated by the government of Santa Priscan (who would later become dictator of the island), another was an American doctor (later revealed to be Thomas Wayne), another was an English mercenary (Edmund Dorrens, long before he was known as king Snake), and the last was a Swiss banker. Deciding to take a chance with a Swiss banker, Bane traveled to Rome in search of his possible father only to run into the League of Assassins.

Bane is recruited as the new loyal aide to Ra's al Ghul, traditionally known as Ubu, and works alongside both Talia Al Ghul and her father when they plot against both Gotham City and the world. Poison impressed Ra, leading to Demon Head holding out Poison's hand to his daughter in marriage. However, Ra's choice of Poison only came from his daughter's desire to annoy her. true love, Batman. After Ra's attempts to release the Legacy Virus into the failed Gotham City, Bane was humiliated by being defeated by the man he once broke. Seeking revenge, turning Batman's beloved city into an illuminated wasteland, he stole a mobile nuclear power plant and sailed it to Gotham. However, the combined efforts of Batman, Robin, and Nightwing thwarted Bane's plans.

After his failed attempt at destroying Gotham City, Bane escaped and sought to replenish his resources by selling Poison to General Webez, to be the ruler of Santa Prisca. Batman sent Azrael to capture him. After initially getting the better of Azrael, Bane is captured and returned to Gotham City when Azrael uses Bane's incessant Poison Cravings against him. As they land in Gotham and are about to turn him over to the police, Cataclysm occurs, allowing Bane to briefly escape before Arael chases after him once more. Bane tried to convince Azrael to join him in a life of crime, but Denied Dale and taking advantage of the push arrest him again. Bane would soon find itself under Lex Luthor's employment during Gotham City's status as a No Man's Land. In an attempt to rebuild and take over the ruined city, Bane is sent to destroy all of the city's official documents. Even though From Bane's ava is successful, Lucius Fox discovered copies of the original document and thwarts Lators' attempts at taking over the city.

Poison the Joker's later encounters and a battle ensues. Batman intervenes and convinces Bane that Luthor cannot be trusted. Bane leaves Gotham, he is destiny. Seeking revenge against Ra's al Ghul for his recent betrayal, Bane commits trip around the world on a campaign to locate and destroy every Lazarus Pete. During these searches, Bane encountered the Black Canary.

Blank board/Veritas Liberat

Returning to the search for his father, Bane is convinced that his biological father is the American doctor the Jesuit priest spoke of. Upon closer investigation, Bane realized that the doctor who was close to his mother was none other than Dr. Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne's father. After realizing this, Bane was convinced that he and Batman were in fact biologically related. Sharing this discovery with Batman when he returned to Gotham, Bane found herself not only staying at Wayne Manor, but also working alongside Batman as well. A series of murders involving tattoos coming to life have been explored by this new "dynamic duo". They found it was a traumatized girl named Pix who used her technological powers to make her tattoos attack the men who raped her. Meanwhile, Bane discovered that he was not biologically related to Bruce. Even after learning this, when Batman needed help dealing with Pix and the rapist known as Ricky, Bane came to his aid, ultimately saving Batman's life. After sharing his discoveries with the hero, Bane set off to continue his search for his father, now with Batman's financial backing.

With additional help from Dr. Leslie Thompson, Bane set off on his quest, eventually arriving in the remote mountains of Kangchenjunga after learning that his father was possibly located in an area in old Lazarus Pete. His resources proved right when he located the man known as Sir Edmund Dorrance, aka. King Snake. Barely alive and malnourished, Snake has been stuck there since the encounter with Robin. Bain and Dorrance shared their sides of the story, agreeing that their relationship was plausible. After years of built up anger and resentment, Bane found his father to be basically unrepentant and was about to take him down when a cult known as Kobra interrupted them. Bane chose to wait while Snake used a postal sedative suggestion implanted in Kobra, which he knew of, to take control of the small force.

Not sure what to do due to his current emotional feelings, Bane allowed Dorrance to use Kobra's troops to retrieve the weapons that were stored when the Lazarus Pit was used as Kobra's base. However, he would side with Batman and his allies when they arrived to confront King Snake and his cult. Poison shielded Batman from King Snake's machine gun fire and threw an acidic power source at Snake, seemingly causing him to fall to his death. Kobra was defeated and Batman revived Bane with the Lazarus Pit at his request. As he was dropped into the Pit, Bane stated, "I'll be like new...cleansed...healed...born again."

Crisis of God and one year later

Recruited into the Secret Society of Super Villains, Bane took part in the Battle of Capital City during the Infinite Crisis. He fought the original Judomaster and broke his spine, killing him.

Bain returned to her own business after that. He and Hourman canceled a drug operation distributing new version Poison. Then he saw to the elections in his Santa Prisca house, supporting one of the candidates. The election was rigged, and Poison's candidate lost. He reacted with his powers to put Santa Prisca under martial law and search for a man with knowledge of picking equipment, Colonel Computron However, Defeat was also after this man. When Bane caught up to them, he was confronted by Tommy Jagger, the son of the original Judomaster.

Bain believed Defeat was responsible for rigging Santa Prisca's election results and he attacked. He and Jagger fought with Jagger defeating him. He was told the only reason he was able to kill Jagger's father was because the Judomaster deliberately put themselves in harm's way to protect lives. Jagger let Poison live.

Arriving at hard times thereafter, Bane is apprehended and heavily-armed into joining Amanda Waller's Suicide Squad. He took part in kidnapping metacriminals and exiling them to a faraway prison world. This continued until he was betrayed along with the other villainous members of the Suicide Squad, being sent to the prison planet as well. As the villains split and take sides, he teamed up with Lex Luthor and became Lex's personal bodyguard along with Deadshot.

Bane behaved faithfully for as long as he was trapped on the planet, preventing Thunder and Lightning from freeing the captured Martian Manhunter. When the villains made their escape from the planet, Bane was among them to return safely to Earth.

secret six

Possibly due to her work with Deadshot on the Suicide Squad and the prison planet, Bane became a member of the Secret Six. He took a special interest in Scandal Savage and began to treat her as a strict father would treat a daughter and sometimes referred to her as his. adopted daughter. While Scandal Savage was rattling after Knockout died, Bane would constantly remind her of things to eat to help her feel better. She was often daunted by his suggestions, like when he offered to let her sleep on her lap, but she did appreciate him. His strict code of honor sometimes created some tension with the other members of the Secret Six, many of whom did not have such codes.

Mysteries Six's first mission was a very dangerous assignment from a mysterious benefactor: they were to deliver the Tarantula and Escape From Hell Free Map in Gotham City. The group has a big bounty placed on their heads by a powerful and crazy mob boss known only as Junior. Their path to the Tarantula has been riddled with opposition from many mercenaries and super villains trying to get the card and the bounty.

While picking up their sixth member in Las Vegas the group was ambushed and while Bane went to tend to the bullet wound, he was captured. Bane was tortured to near death by Junior throwing bricks at Blight until he told him where the map was. The Secret Six did eventually rescue him, but while en route to their destination, Bane slowly slipped into death. When the Secret Six finally arrived in Gotham, they were ambushed by hundreds of villains and mercenaries as their secret benefactor, the Mad Hatter, watched. There was nothing Bane could do while the others struggled to survive, but once he saw that Scandal was in danger, he knew something had to be done.

In order to heal faster and fight off the attackers, he broke his promise to himself and risked a repeat by swallowing the vial of Poison he always carried. Now enraged and on the warpath, he grabs anyone he sees including a royalist, on whom he performs his signature tough nut. Infuriated he viewed everyone as Batman and he yelled: "Don't you know who I am?!" "I'm the one that broke the Bat!" While watching this Scandal remarks to Catman, "I guess in a way the bat broke him too." He also attacks Alex Merkel along with Scandal, Deadshot and Catman, but she deflects them all away.

Bane was later seen with a ragdoll (disguised as Robin) and Catman in an attempt to interfere with the assignment they were originally offered. A group of mercenaries were tasked with capturing a variety of child politicians, but this didn't sit well with the team, especially Bane. Bane hated to see children messed with or put in any kind of danger, probably because he was "raised" in prison. Batman's disappearance led the three to take on a more heroic stance as they tried to stop the kidnappings. Through dialogue between Bane and Catman, it was revealed how powerful Batman was, especially on them. Bane respected Batman and felt if he was truly gone only those who were worthy enough should be allowed to wear the hood.

While they "protected" the streets of Gotham out of respect for Batman, they encountered Dick Grayson in his Nightwing guise. Nightwing was upset by their methods. Nightwing's comments on their methods upset Catman, who then considered him physically difficult, but Bane kept the peace. Bane reassured Catman and, out of his respect for Batman, and his various protégés, one being Nightwing, said they would leave. Catman questioned Poison's actions and decision and revealed his reasoning for making way. He told Catman that they left because Nightwing is the only person worthy of being called Batman. Bane may not be as villainous as he once was too much then he respected Batman and what he stood for.

In the new storyline, Bane was hired along with the rest of the team by a new villain named Mr. Smith, a slave trader. Mr. Smith's goal was to build the largest prison in the world. To do this, he hired the Amazon tribes as slaves. Janet saw and remembered Artemis from the previous encounter. She broke it, the rest of the team reacted with opposition. While the team fought amongst themselves, Wonder Woman arrived. Wonder Woman, after seeing Artemis hurt, engaged Six in battle. Wonder Woman was defeated by Janet's amazing display of power and Six Way Parting, knowing that they were soon to clash over the matter.

As three of the six escaped with Artemis, half remained loyal to their employer and provided Wonder Woman to Mr. Smith. Smith insisted that with their former comrades on command, their betrayal and probably imminent attempt to free the other Amazons had to be dealt with. However, something Wonder Woman said to Catman made him decide to switch sides. He freed the Amazons, who started a prison riot. Deadshot and ragdoll struggled a bit with whether or not they should kill the others. Surprisingly, the ragdoll decided to return to the control room and smash Smith's head in a snatch. Deadshot decided to give up on the job at this point, shooting the Amazon, who was working for Smith in the head, to save Catman and Janet.

After the riot, Wonder Woman allowed what was left of the Secret Six to leave despite knowing they were criminals. Deadshot was left behind where he carried out Smyth much as he had executed a prisoner earlier. As the group departed, Bane pointed out that every mission they pick up ends with an injury and no pay. He told them that he would be in charge. His first decision was that Scandal was off the team, replacing her with Black Alice.

After Catman left to find his son's killer, both Deadshot, the ragdoll, and Scandal joined him. Bain and Janet continue to work. Thus, to fill the Bane of the ranks has recruited four new members. These members are: Giganta, Dwarfstar, Lady Vic and King Shark. The recruitment of new members caused a rift in the old team. There are now two Secret Six teams, one led by Bane and one led by Scandal. Over time, these two teams came into conflict. As a result, their meeting Bane was forced to fight Scandal. Not wanting to harm her, Bane took out one of her blades and cut his own throat lengthwise. He was then revived by the doctor and the two teams then teamed up against Deimos, who they then defeated.

The six were soon hired by Lex Luthor when he was thought to be a kidnapper by Vandal Savage. They were almost killed by a bomb that Luthor planted and was saved at the last second when Savage made a deal.

darkest house

Bane ventured into Hell with Scandal and the gang to retrieve the ragdoll and Knockout and faced his greatest fear. He soon overcame his fear, and in the end saved Knockout and the ragdoll.

Bane then helps Scandal rescue her girlfriend. The later Bane goes on a second date and impresses his date by protecting her from some thugs. She then says she wants to show Bane the world she's more brave, which she means as "great mating".

Caution to the wind

Bane is once again seen with Venom implants on the back of his head. He came to realize that despite the code of honor he lived, he was still destined for hell. He suggests that the only way for him to achieve the true fulfillment that has referred him all his life is to kill Batman and his allies.

Bane and Six Penguin base operations attack to get all the information he has on Batman's allies and then force him to join their team. The team then meets in an abandoned warehouse in Gotham to discuss their plan of attack. Unbeknownst to them, the Penguin had a transmitter hidden beneath his skin, which he secretly used to inform the entire superhero community of Six's whereabouts. Realizing that his team was greatly outnumbered and could not win this battle, Bane and his teammates inject themselves with Venom; determined not to go down without a fight. The heroes eventually prevail and Bane and the rest of the Six are arrested. After being transported to Blackgate Penitentiary, Bane wakes up, he comes to the conclusion that the only thing holding him back from killing Batman was his recent girlfriend and a few of his friends. He then breaks his shackles and prepares to run away.

After Flashpoint and the reboot of the DC Universe, Bane is introduced to DCnU by writer Paul Jenkins and artist David Finch in the series Batman: The Dark Knight. Poison's appearance is similar to his appearance in the game Arkham Asylum, carrying a massive storage tank on his back and still fighting his addiction to Poison. In the story, Batman investigates a massive riot at Arkham where all the prisoners are injected with a derivative of Venom mixed with a Fear Toxin that makes them stronger and more immune to fear. Batman, while fighting the expanded Two-Face, faces a new villain called White Rabbit and follows her, eventually leading him to Poison. Bane attacks him and after a pitched battle, with the help of The Flash, Batman is victorious. Bane is knocked off a cliff and executed towards the sea. Most of the elements in the DC Universe were changed during the reboot, but it was hinted in comic book dialogue that Bane still broke Batman.

Bane's powers and abilities

Poison has one of the most cunning and disciplined minds in the DC Universe. Exploring multiple scientific fields, languages, strategy, history, etc., Poison has all the advantages classical education. Bain is fluent in Spanish, English, Urdu, Persian and Latin. Unlike other intelligent characters such as the Riddler and Lex Luthor, Bane is intensely focused on his goals without any manic tendencies clouding his judgment. With his coordinated thinking, Bane was also capable of deducing Batman's identity with little support or investigation.

Bain has, his photographic memory capable of easily learning and fully reading and understanding actions and physical movements another man.

One half of Bane's biggest self-taught successes has been his strong dedication to keeping himself in top physical condition. During his prison stint, Bane learned and designed new methods of gymnastics, meditation, and a fighting style that he uses against other notable martial artists in the DC Universe, often to great success. Notable victories include Batman (Bruce Wayne), Nightwing (Dick Grayson) and the Judo Master, whom he killed after a fight.

Through the years Bane has built his mind and body to the point his body cannot bear much fatigue from loss of sleep or physical means. It has been said that Bane used a certain drug during his prison stint that connected both hemispheres in his mind, it is not clear if the effect of the drug is still active in Poison's body or not, but it would seem that a possible combination of Poison use still has, these are the effects on Poison. It was for many years its steady physical training Even without the use of Poison, Bane is capable of having strength, stamina, flexibility, coordination and fighting skills that are little compared to a metahuman. It is unclear if Bane possesses the metagen or not, but so far he is still labeled as a human at his highest peak for physical and mental perfection in every way.

Apart from his physical and mental capabilities, Bane also has knowledge in the fields of handling heavy weapons and explosives. For the most part, Bane wouldn't choose to use a weapon like that when confronting someone; he would use such items when trying to destroy a building or any other artificial building.

Even though Bane has not yet been tested on having metahuman powers of any kind, there was an incident in Bane's story as a teenager where he witnessed a future version of himself. It is a strong coincidence that he eventually became the same person, yet Bane was unconscious when faced with this vision.

Bane is known for using his signature Poison drug. Poison is a powerfully addictive strength-enhancing supersteroid. It is based on the Miraclo formula. The drug increases physical signs user to superhuman levels. With the help of the drug, Bane augments his already impressive strength. The amount of power Poison has depends on how much Poison he takes. This gives him accelerated healing, incredible durability, and peak human speed. Its duration increases to the point where bullets from most normal firearms cause only superficial damage. Poison's drug increases his strength into the two-ton range depending on how large the dosage he uses. Exactly how strong he can never be fully established. The poison has a severe withdrawal effect if the injections are not continuous. Signs - strong pain, dehydration, insanity, coma and possible death. Bane pointed out that Poison's withdrawal makes withdrawal from drugs such as heroin, crack, etc. look like a joke.

If Bane overdoses on Poison, he will temporarily enter a feral state in which his physical abilities increase tremendously, but he himself becomes little more than a mindless berserker. More experienced opponents used this to their advantage, although many more fell before the attack.

In the new rebooted DC Universe, Poison allows Bane to jump numerous stories, makes him faster than Batman, being able to survive falls from cliffs, being thrown around boulders, and it makes him smarter. Bane has created a special serum that can negate the effects on others. This serum causes intense bleeding from the mouth, nose, ears and eyes when it begins to wear off. It may also close nervous system and turn the head to turn into jelly, as required by the Poison; Bane herself proved to be immune to these effects.

With DC: Rebirth, Bane claims to have completely stopped using Venom, stripping herself of all of the abilities that come with it. However, this was the result of Bane harboring Psycho-Pirate on Peña Duro. It was revealed that Psycho Pirate used his abilities to make Bane think he was no longer dependent on the drug. Once the Psycho Pirate is taken off the island, Bane immediately began to crave Poison again.

Individuality

Owing to his unconventional childhood, Bane has a unique personality, sometimes belying his intimidating appearance, at others perfectly in keeping with his barbaric reputation. Bane quite easily considers himself superior to almost everyone he meets. Perhaps because of this innate self-esteem, Bane has developed a strong sense of compassion and often helps the weak and defenseless. In addition, he often approaches others despite his lone wolf demeanor. The dominance of the poison is not exclusive, because its dominance is almost incapable of being threatened, its self-evident superiority.

Even though Bane has a very high level intelligence, his social skills are still developing, having spent most of his time imprisoned alive, often in solitary confinement. His relationship with Thalia Al Ghul eventually proved incompatible, and his father/daughter relationship with Scandal Savage was at times awkward, though ultimately positive for both parties.

In addition to personal relationships, Poison has a strong sense of duty and honor. Bane showed respect for his ultimate adversary, Batman. Although unrestricted by traditional "fair play" ideas, Bane adheres to personal codes of conduct. The perception of poison is colored by being held guilty before even birth. He was surprised to find out that he was destined for Hell when the Secret Six visited there, as he considers himself an "innocente".

Other media

It is known that the depiction of Poison in films, games, and television is often less complex than his depiction in comics.

Movies

Batman & Robin

A version of Bane is featured in the 1997 Batman & Robin film, played by the late Robert "Jeep" Swanson, who died of heart failure just months after the film's theatrical release. Bane, in Akiva Goldsman's script, is barely able to speak and communicates through grunts and growls. Still imprisoned, he is this time a serial killer, the only surviving subject of Poison. Bane now owes his creation to Jason Woodre and lacks any strategic genius or explosive physical condition. original version. He is super human strong, muscular, and wears a similar mask including Poison pipes. Bane is little more than a lackey to Uma Thurman's Sumac in the film and is defeated by both Batgirl and Robin, who sever the pipes connected to his mask. This depiction of Poison is one of the many aspects of Joel Schumacher's film that caused it to receive harsh criticism from fans and critics alike.

Batman: Batwoman Mystery

He appeared in the DC Universe animated film Batman: The Secret of Batwoman. In the film, he is hired by Robert Thorne, the Penguin, and Carlton Duxne to deal with the Batwoman. By the end of the film, he falls into a pit of fire.

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

Bane appears in the cartoon Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. In the film, he is one of dozens of villains after a $1 billion bounty on Superman's head. He is knocked out by Batman after he cuts the Bane Venom delivery system.

The Dark Knight Rises

Tom Hardy played Poison in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. Imprisoned in Asia, he formed a bond with the young Talia al Ghul and became her personal protector and friend. He was injured helping to rescue her and was later rescued by Talia's father, Ra's al Ghul and the League of Shadows, only to later be excommunicated by the League. His mask has tubes of anesthetic (instead of poison) due to the almost constant pain.

Bane arrives in Gotham City under the pretense of helping his employer, John Daggett, take over Wayne Enterprises. It is also unknown which of the elements were represented by each of the two writers (Graham and Moench). Dixon described the character's first appearance in a comic Vengeance of Bane(rus. "Bane's Revenge") with drawings by Graham Nolan. It is also not known what contributions were made by Danny O'Neill (veteran Batman writer, editor of the Batman comic series at the time, and writer of the novel adaptation of Knightfall). Previously, O'Neil created Bane's birthplace - Santa Prisca - in the series The Question(rus. "Question") and the drug "Venom" (Russian. "I") V story of the same name published on the pages Legends of the Dark Knight(rus. "Legends of the Dark Knight" ) No. 16-20. On the pages Azrael O'Neill presented Bane's view of Poison as an addiction and weakness responsible for his past defeats.

Original story from comics

While serving his sentence for his late father, Bane was sent to Santa Prisca Prison as a child. In prison, he had only one friend: a teddy bear. As a little older, Bane began to read books that were secretly brought to his cell, and to meditate. Finally, as an adult, Bane gained spiritual balance, which helped him survive during an experiment conducted with a substance called "Venom". Many died during this experiment, but Bane survived and was able to escape to Gotham. Appearing there and wanting to prove his strength, he launched a multi-way plan: he blew up the Arkham psychiatric hospital, releasing all of its insane patients, and then attacked and kidnapped Robin. The Dark Knight was exhausted by numerous fights with his opponents who fled to the city, so he could not offer decent resistance to Bane: he easily defeated the hero and broke his spine. While the Dark Knight was on the mend, he was replaced in this position by Azrael, who used more cruel methods in relation to criminals. Bane also did not escape this fate: the neophyte Batman upgraded his suit and brutally beat him, breaking many bones and incapacitating him on for a long time. When Bruce Wayne reappeared in the Batman costume, he wanted to take revenge on Bane and managed to do this by tearing out the Venom supply hoses into Bane's body. After this incident, Bane was able to assert himself and become one of Batman's strongest and worst enemies. Bane created a device with which he could pump Venom into himself whenever he wished.

Powers and abilities

During his imprisonment, Bain did a lot of reading, increasing his level of education. The rest of the time he devoted to physical improvement. As a result, Bane is physically strong, just like Batman. However, his lack of agility is a serious threat to him. Bane is also extremely cunning and is an excellent strategist and tactician, which helps him survive in Gotham's underworld. He also has a well-developed photographic memory. Within one year, he was able to decipher Batman's name. Thus, Bane is one of Batman's most dangerous adversaries.

However, Bane's costume itself is his Achilles' heel. Only by depriving Bane of the Venom fuel can he be defeated.

In Batman & Robin, Bane is a serial killer who is sentenced to life in prison. Having survived after testing the Venom supersteroid on himself, he increases his strength with its help. After escaping with Poison Ivy, he becomes her servant and Batman's adversary. But at the end of the film, he is defeated, as is Ivy.

Contrary to his comic book counterpart, in the film, Bane has a low level of intelligence and is a typical "dumb mountain of muscle" that follows orders. He pronounces only words from the replicas he has just heard.

The Dark Knight Rises

Bane is the main villain and has excellent fighting skills, impressive strength and high intelligence. However, here he does not use a steroid and is just a trained person. In the film, Bane, thanks to his mask, which supplies his body with an anesthetic gas, feels absolutely no pain, so he fights to the limit of his abilities. However, if his mask is broken, Bane begins to experience extreme pain and loses his strength.

Bane was once imprisoned in The Pit, where he became the protector and friend of little Talia al Ghul, whose mother died in the Pit. Later, Bane was severely traumatized by the prisoners when he helped Thalia escape, and after that, he began to suffer from constant pain. Therefore, the prison doctor designed a special respirator mask for him, which mixes the air he inhales with gaseous painkillers and thus saves him from pain. Therefore, Bane, as in the comics, almost always appears in this mask, since its dysfunction or removal can kill him.

When Thalia escaped, the League of Shadows came to the Pit to save Bane, but Ra'al Ghul did not accept him because he only saw him as a monster, however, the League taught him a lot. After Ras's death, Thalia found Bane and made him the second leader of the League along with herself. They decided to destroy Gotham as a tribute to the deceased Ras. To do this, they kidnap the Russian atomic scientist Leonid Pavlov. After that, Bane attacks the stock exchange using Bruce Wayne's prints, thereby depriving him of his fortune. To prevent his company from falling into Daggett's hands, Wayne transfers control of Wayne Enterprises to Miranda Tate (behind whom Talia Al Ghul is hiding). Later, Bane lures Batman into a trap at the hands of a deceived Catwoman and injures his spine, after which he locks him in the Pit.

Soon, with the help of the Acrobat combat vehicles (prototypes of the Batmobile) stolen from Wayne Enterprises, as well as some other military weapons, Bane captured Gotham, cut it off from the rest of the world and, using Pavlov's hands, turned the Wayne Enterprises fusion reactor into a neutron bomb, into process, also telling its residents the truth about Harvey Dent's death. 5 months later, in last hours before the bomb explodes, Batman returns and confronts the villain, damaging his mask, knocking out some of the tubes, causing Bane to experience wild pain and quickly weaken. Suddenly, Thalia intervenes in the fight, stabbing Batman and repairing Bane's mask, after which she says goodbye to him and goes to carry out the final part of the plan. He prepares to kill Batman, but Catwoman suddenly appears and shoots Bane with the Batpod's guns.

Notes

Comics. We are best known for his appearance in films about. He is one of Batman's strongest physical enemies, once defeating him in a fight and breaking his spine.

According to the comics, Bane was sent to Santa Mining Prison at a very young age to serve time in place of his late father. In prison bane I started reading books and meditating. This allowed him to gain spiritual balance and moral strength, which helped him to go through the experiments carried out in prison on prisoners. They were injected with the Venom drug, which killed most of the test subjects, but Bane not only survived, but also escaped, creating a special mask for himself so that his body could receive Venom.

Once in Gotham, Bane began to implement his plan to destroy the city. Bain disabled Batman, kidnapped Robin, set free the crazy wards of a psychiatric hospital.

Bane was not only very strong physically due to constant and hard training, but also not very stupid. Constant self-education, as well as the innate abilities of a strategist, allowed him to quickly figure out Batman and become the most serious and dangerous opponent of the hero.

Bane's image in the film "Batman and Robin" was embodied by actor Jeep Swanson. According to the film, Bane also survived after experiments in prison with Venom. However, the filmmakers stripped him of his intellectual abilities, making him an assistant to another Poison Ivy villain. Together they try to destroy Gotham, but both are defeated by Batman.

Bane was played by Tom Hardy in The Dark Knight Rises. His Bane does not have super strength, he is a man in excellent physical shape with martial skills. Hardy gained 14 kilograms of muscle for this and looks truly menacing.

The mask performs a slightly different function here. Sitting in the Pit Prison, Bane suffered greatly from other prisoners, after which he began to constantly experience terrible pain. Then a mask was created for him, supplying an anesthetic gas to the body, which relieves him of pain and allows him to fight at the limit of his capabilities. Violation of the functionality of the mask leads to the complete disqualification of Bane, which Batman will take advantage of.

At will bane becomes right hand Talia al Ghul, whom he patronized at The Pit. He helped her escape from prison, after which he was trained by the League of Shadows, but did not become a member. While attempting to destroy Gotham, Bane died by being gunned down by Selina Kyle. 5.0 out of 5 based on 1 rating

"The Dark Knight. The Rebirth of a Legend: Anne Hathaway

There are actors who can surprise with a change of role. That's exactly what Anne Hathaway did when she appeared in Christopher Nolan's action movie as Catwoman.

"The Dark Knight. The Revival of a Legend ”, in which the actors starred in the first magnitude, turned into a real test for Hathaway. Usually Ann plays cute girls in movies, but here it took her every effort to turn into a dangerous and prudent Selina Kyle.

Selina and Bruce Wayne meet for the first time at a dinner party at his house. Swindler Kyle steals an expensive necklace from Bruce. Subsequently, the same Selina becomes the reason that Batman falls into the "Pit". But at the end of the film, Anne Hathaway's character still begins to value the interests of other people more than her own. And helps Batman defeat the villain Bane.

Bane's performer

A new villain confronts Batman in The Dark Knight. Revival of a legend. Tom Hardy played his role - the role of the man in the Bane mask.

Bane is incredibly strong and cunning. He is the only one who has ever been able to defeat Batman. After he threw the superhero into prison with a broken spine, Bane mocked the people of Gotham to his heart's content. His plans were to destroy the city completely, so he planted an atomic bomb within it. With incredible efforts, the returned Batman and his friends manage to thwart Bane's plans.

Tom Hardy is a very famous British actor. The viewer can see him in such famous films, like Guy Ritchie's "Rock and Roll", "Spy, get out!" Thomas Alfredson and Mad Max: Fury Road by George Miller.

Played by Detective Blake

Christopher Nolan has collaborated with such famous actor like Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Joseph starred in his film Inception. Also, Gordon-Levitt can be found in such popular films as Life is Beautiful, 10 Things I Hate About You and The Walk.

As for the film about Batman, Gordon-Levitt played the role of a young officer, Robin Blake, who was one of the few who did not turn away from Batman and tried with all his might to help him cope with the villain Bane. It is to Robin that Batman reveals the secret of his cave at the end of the film, and he himself retires. Apparently, the director meant that a continuation of the film is possible, but this time the superhero Robin will be in the center of the plot.

Performer as Commissioner Gordon

Played by Gary, Oldman knew from the start who Batman really was. In the previous detective, the commissioner hid from the public the fact that it was the cause of many atrocities committed in the city. Gordon let Batman take the blame, which is why he has a bad conscience in the new Dark Knight movie.

Gordon does not dare to reveal the truth to the city, but the villain Bane easily does this by stealing the Commissioner's secret letter. Now Gordon can only throw all his strength into helping Batman save the unfortunate inhabitants of Gotham.

The role of Commissioner Gordon was played by the famous Hollywood actor Gary Oldman. He became famous thanks to his participation in such films as "Sid and Nancy", "Dracula", "Leon" and "The Fifth Element".

Performer as Alfred

Michael Caine in Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise played the role of his butler Alfred.

Alfred was the closest person to Batman, was privy to all his affairs and secrets. This is, of course, a comic character that stands out against the background of his serious and taciturn owner.

In the third film, Alfred tries to persuade Bruce Wayne not to interfere in the criminal affairs of the city, to save himself and finally arrange his personal life. However, Batman doesn't want to hear anything. It was then that a conflict arises between them and Alfred leaves his master. But he is destined to later become the heir to his fortune and learn the happy news that Batman actually faked his death, while he continues to live incognito and even tries to start a family.

Michael Caine also starred in Christopher Nolan's Inception and The Prestige. And also it can be seen in the films "Get Carter" with Mickey Rourke and "Miss Congeniality" with Sandra Bullock.

Other actors

Josh Stewart - the star of the film "Excellence" with Johnny Depp - played the role of Barsed in Christopher Nolan's film. Also, the young actor can be seen in the series "The Dirt" with and "The Extraordinary Family" with Michael Chiklis.

Also in the picture was involved a star of a larger scale than Josh Stewart - Marion Cotillard. Marion won an Oscar for her role in the biopic Life in pink color". The actress is also the star of Christopher Nolan's Inception.

Given Nolan's talent as a director and the film's stellar cast, it's no surprise that his third Batman film broke all records and grossed over a billion dollars at the box office on a $250 million investment.
