Captain America vs Iron Man: who wins? 20 Stunning Avengers Facts You Didn't Know.

04.03.2019

We have already heard that Avengers 4 will have a major impact on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will bring significant changes. Unfortunately, fans will have to say goodbye to some beloved characters who have graced us with their presence in the superhero franchise over the years. As you know, sooner or later everything comes to an end, and apparently it's just time to say goodbye to some heroes who will give way to others. In the upcoming film, we will witness the final battle with the Mad Titan, in which the heroes will be able to return all those who were erased by the warlord's click. That's just without the victims still will not do, and it is already known which of the characters will surely survive after the decisive battle. Shot from the movie "Avengers: Infinity War"»

Thunder God Thor

For almost a decade now, this character has not ceased to please us with his presence in the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and will not stop doing so in the Fourth phase, but, most likely, we will see him only as a cameo, like some other characters. Although it should not be ruled out that another solo film will be made about Thor, if, of course, the contract of the performer leading role Chris Hemsworth will be renewed.

Thor

There is a possibility that the God of Thunder will get the Space Stone, which will allow him to go anywhere in the blink of an eye. main goal character in the next MCU films will be the restoration of the home world.

Doctor Strange

No one even doubts that Doctor Strange will be returned, and we will be able to see him not only in his solo sequel, but also in other MCU films of the Fourth phase, where Captain Marvel will become his ally. While the audience is waiting for it to become known what Steven was up to in the last part of the Avengers when he allowed Thanos to collect the Gauntlet and snap his fingers.

Doctor Strange

Of course, the Time Stone will again be saved by the Supreme Mage. It is possible that after Thanos is finally defeated, Strange will become the leader of the Avengers team.

Carol Danvers or Captain Marvel

Fans are looking forward to getting to know the heroine, because she will be among the survivors of the events of the sequel to the Infinity War. It should not be ruled out that it is she who will lead the Avengers in the future, since she has considerable military experience. Also, fans are confident that another Captain Marvel solo movie will be made, and the heroine will continue to appear in future MCU movies.

With more space adventures promised in Phase Four, Carol will feel like a duck to water. Fans believe that in addition to this, Danvers will become the keeper of the Power Stone, because it is she who is the most powerful character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Despite the fact that the third part of the "Guardians" is in limbo, the audience believes that sooner or later the picture will still be taken. However, it is still unknown what the film will be about and whether it will continue Avengers 4 or tell their backstory.

Guardians of the Galaxy

However, fans assume that in the third film a large share attention will be paid to the return of Gamora, who was killed by the Mad Titan. And this means that other Guardians will return and become the guardians of the Soul Stone.

Wanda Maximoff or Scarlet Witch

Possessing amazing strength, Wanda is still learning how to control it. It is the development of abilities that the heroine will take after her return. Also, the Scarlet Witch will have to gather her will into a fist and come to terms with the fact that Vision is no more, but it is possible that he will be returned, only in a different form.

Wanda can get the Reality Stone, however, first it will have to be taken away from Thanos. Although it is also rumored that Maximoff may defect to the side of evil, and become the leader of the mutants that will be introduced to the MCU in a new phase.

Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne or Ant-Man and the Wasp

Despite the fact that the films about the adventures of the former prisoner Scott and the daughter of a gifted scientist Hope did not become super-successful, the audience is convinced that Ant-Man will play far from last role in the victory over the warlord in the fourth part of the Avengers, and will also continue to appear in the company's new films.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

But the leaders of Scott and Hope obviously do not shine. While it's entirely possible that Wasp could soon land a solo movie due to Marvel Studios' decision to pay enough attention to female characters, so it's possible that Hope will have more success than Scott.

Peter Parker or Spiderman

We all know that after the fourth "Avengers" will be released the second film about Spider-Man. And this guarantees the return of the Spider in the upcoming film.

Spiderman

But there is no reason to believe that Parker will be included in the main part of the Avengers team; more likely, he will be such a lifesaver for Happy Hogan or Nick Fury.

TChalla or Black Panther

The ruler of Wakanda will most likely return in the upcoming film and even get a Black Panther sequel. The character has everything you need to not only home country manage, but also lead a team of heroes of the Earth.

Black Panther

This will allow the Avengers to be equipped with advanced weapons and armor.

Sam Wilson or Falcon

For several films now, fans have been waiting for Falcon to play important role in the MCU films, but this has not yet happened. However, things can change after the character returns.

It is possible that Sam will even replace Captain America after Rogers dies (if this happens, of course), because he was very devoted to Cap. While there is no news about the possibility of a solo picture, but this does not mean that it is not planned.

Natasha Romanoff or Black Widow

You probably already know that the heroine has finally grown up to a solo film that will tell about the events leading up to Avengers 4.

Black Widow

We know Natasha wasn't the victim of the snap, but for her to continue to be of interest to fans, Romanoff must survive Avengers 4.

Bruce Banner and Hulk

Hulk and Banner

If you believe all the spoilers that are on the network, the scientist and the green monster will manage to achieve a certain balance, thanks to which they will help the Avengers defeat the warlord. It would be cool to see the Hulk having mental faculties Benner.

In the Fourth phase, we, unfortunately, may no longer meet with Bucky Barnes, Tony Stark, Clint Barton and Steve Rogers. Founded in 1963, the Avengers have become perhaps the most popular superhero team in the world. Literally hundreds of characters have been part of an ever-changing roster of heroes over the years, starting with the most famous Captain America, Iron Man, Torah and ending with such mysterious and amazing characters as Lion Heart And Wolverine.

Their influence is also being felt outside the world of comics: Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige created an entire cinematic universe around Earth's mightiest heroes. This venture paid off handsomely, as the 2012 film grossed over $1.5 billion, and its sequels are as good as the original.

What makes the Avengers so successful? Despite reruns appearing over the decades (whether it's The New or The Mighty Avengers), fans always seem to gravitate toward them, and that's probably why the movie was such a success. It's great to watch all these great superheroes unite!

Anyway, here are twenty of the most mind-blowing facts about this iconic comic book superhero team. The problem with printers that led to their creation, the strangest and most amazing moments of the times of the beginning of work Stan Lee And Steve Ditko, or the case when Ms. Marvel married her son - these facts will shock you ...

20 Daredevil's delay spawned The Avengers

Stan Lee and his colleagues were on a roll in the early 1960s, creating hero after hero, many of which are now at the height of their popularity.

However, when printing problems caused delays in the publication of the first issue "Daredevils", Stan Lee came up with the idea to collect several existing Marvel heroes into a team that would compete Justice League DC.

Thus was born the Avengers, who filled the gap created by Daredevil.

19 Iron Man Chargeable Suit

Decades have passed, and the suit Iron Man is still a fantasy.

In 1963, however, the technology was much simpler, and Tony Stark (the team's benefactor who hid from them that he was Iron Man) was often depicted charging the suit from a power outlet.

This could not but affect the electricity bills of the Avengers residence, so it's good that he was a millionaire.

18. Wasp came up with a name for the team

They went to win together Loki, but five heroes hastily put together by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby needed a name. And it turned out to be The Avengers, which was the first to be proposed wasp and quickly accepted by her husband, Ant-Man.

Who knows what her second proposal was! The fact that the two played such a pivotal role in the creation of the team explains why so many fans were disappointed that the pair weren't included in the 2012 Avengers movie.

17 Scarlet Witch Created Her Children

Vision is android, but Scarlet Witch I got pregnant anyway and gave birth to twins. However, it was later revealed that they were created by a mentally unstable mutant using her magical abilities.

They got rid of them in a convoluted plot, and this leads to "Avengers Disassembled" and "House of M". IN latest releases Wanda brought them back, and they later became the young Avengers named Wiccan and Speed.

16. The Hulk once pretended to be a Robot Clown.

Hulk just wanted to be left alone, so after losing the first battle with the Avengers, the Green Giant fled to a traveling circus. In fact, we were never told how this happened, but somehow he managed to act as a clown robot under the name of Mechano.

His attempt to hide may serve good example of how rushed the release of the comic was; they just had to fill the gap created by the delay in Daredevil.

15 They Fought The Justice League

The superheroes of Marvel and DC have met several times, but undoubtedly one of the best crossovers was Justice League / Avengers.

In this series, both teams of heroes visited each other's planets, and viewers could see the huge differences between them. And while the show was stuffed with the battles that fans always wanted to see, things only took off when they teamed up.

Where else can you see Superman wielding Captain America's shield and Thor's hammer?

14 Marvel Didn't Register The Avengers Until 1970

It took Marvel a long time to realize they had a hit with The Avengers on their hands. But since they did not take a step towards famous name teams until 1967, this process dragged on right up to 1970.

This delay caused problems in the UK over the next decades: the TV series of the same name, The Avengers, outpaced the comics, forcing the company to come up with a new name for the superhero team. They settled on "Avengers Assemble!" ( Avengers Assembly), a phase that was never used in the film.

13 The Avengers Meet David Letterman

The Tonight Show with David Letterman was at its peak back in the mid-80s, and The Avengers comics were looking for a similar level of success, hence the idea of a crossover featuring Earth's Mightiest Heroes on the show.

But they were ambushed by a villain who tried to destroy them with cameras with lasers. Letterman saves everyone by knocking him out with a giant doorknob. Seriously.

12 Samuel L. Jackson Lets Marvel Use His Image In The Avengers

Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch used a few celebrity-like characters in The Ultimates, but none lasted as long as Nick Fury. It was clear that it was based on Samuel L. Jackson, but Marvel never got the actor's permission to use his likeness. But when he saw that his face was being used and contacted them, they promised Jackson a role in future films. And that promise was kept: he appeared in Iron Man.

When Millar and Jackson met on the set of Kingsman, he was quick to thank the writer for helping him land the deal to be the boss of S.H.I.E.L.D. nine pictures ahead.

11 Black Panther Broke Red Skull's Jaw

Geoff Jones' work on The Avengers can easily be underestimated, and one of his the best stories arches was "Red Zone"(Red Zone).

In him Red Skull released a virus in America that could wipe out all ethnic minorities. So plan the king of Wakanda Black Panther was not very pleased.

Taking off his gloves, T "Challa brutally beat the Red Skull with his bare hands. When he began to finish beating him, he hit the villain in the jaw so that he broke it.

10 The Hulk Got So Angry He Turned Back Into Bruce Banner

Early issues of The Avengers came out with mixed success, to put it mildly, but nonetheless, Stan Lee portrayed one fight against the Hulk in one of the strangest ways possible.

The angrier the Hulk gets, the stronger he gets. But in order to end his battle with Earth's mighty heroes in a timely manner, Stan did this: The Green Giant became so angry that he turned back into Bruce Banner.

It didn't happen again.

9 Ms Marvel Married Her Own Son

Ms. Marvel (now better known as Captain Marvel) will hit the big screen in 2018, but this story line clearly will not be adapted for the big screen. In the nonsensical and controversial issue of Avengers #200, Ms. Marvel was raped by the villain known as Marcus Immortus.

Without remembering this, she gave birth to Marcus Immortusa and instantly fell in love with him. Ultimately it was explained that it was mind control and no further mention was made of it.

8 Captain America Wasn't Part Of The Original Team

Captain America is the leader of the Avengers in the comics, and he has that role on the big screen too. However, he did not actually join the ranks of Earth's mightiest heroes until the fourth issue of the comics, when scientists found him trapped in a block of ice.

It's actually one of Stan Lee's smartest stories: he found a way to take a World War II-era superhero and reboot him into the Marvel Universe in a way that's both believable and very entertaining.

7. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's Strange Relationship

Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch's "Ultimates" subtly hinted that the relationship between Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch was more than akin.

When Joseph Loub took on this story, all hints were dropped, the screenwriter made it clear that they are both lovers, and moreover, deeply in love with each other. As you already understood, this plot line was not reflected in "Avengers: Age of Ultron".

6. The second cast was made up of villains

In issue #16, the team will undergo the first wave of major changes of many. Only Captain America remained when Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man, and the Wasp left, and his team was very different from before.

His "Kooky Quartet" consisted of Hawkeye, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch, characters who had previously been portrayed as villains. It was bold move, but attracted attention and aroused interest because of the name.

5. Black Widow from "Ultimates" is a bitch

One of the most enjoyable parts of "Ultimates" was the relationship between Tony Stark and Black Widow. They got engaged, and Iron Man even gave a SHIELD agent own armor to celebrate it.

But she will later turn out to be a traitor, kill Jarvis and take part in the murder of Hawkeye's family. And these are just some of Black Widow's crimes. The archer will retaliate by driving an arrow into her skull.

4 Hawkeye became Captain America

After the events of the Civil War, Steve Rogers was shot and killed. Because of this, the Marvel universe was left without a Captain America, and Tony Stark decided to give Hawkeye a shield and suit.

He decided to give it a try, but a run-in with the Young Avengers' anti-registration led to him rejecting the offer and outlawing the Avengers.

It was nice to see that Clint respected Steve, especially considering that there was always an adversarial relationship between them.

3 She-Hulk tore the Vision in half

"Avengers Disassembled" portrayed the Avengers as fans knew them until the end, when a frustrated Scarlet Witch used her powers to kill Hawkeye, Ant-Man and the Vision (all three are currently alive).

But when it comes to who got the worst death, it turns out to be ex-husband Wanda: he was torn apart literally by half out of control She-Hulk. You could even see his crumbling insides (surprisingly human-like).

2 Black Widow Is Older Than You Think

The history of Marvel's development can sometimes seem quite confusing due to the long-lived characters that are obtained through the Super Soldier serum. Black Widow is one of them. Despite her youthful appearance, the beautiful Natasha is actually well over 70.

This explains how she lived back in Soviet Russia, but Marvel Studios has so far wisely evaded that fact in cinematic universe Marvel.

1. Not everyone wanted to be the Avengers

The Avengers may be the #1 superhero team in the Marvel Universe (although X-Men fans might take offense at that claim), but not everyone wants to join their ranks.

Daredevil and Spiderman, for example, often rejected the team's offers, with the latter even fighting them on several occasions. Even one of the founders, the Hulk, refused to rejoin the Avengers, and did not agree to do so for more than 50 years.

Video version

Motives: comic

The plot of the new film is partly based on the comic book Civil War by Mark Millar and Stephen McNiven, which describes one of the most significant events in the history of the Marvel Universe. According to the plot of the comic, dissatisfaction with the actions of superheroes is growing in the government and society. Of course, they try and save the world, but they cause too much collateral damage.

The last straw was the reckless action of a team of young heroes in Stamford, who live in front of thousands of viewers, they tried to detain supervillains. The fight ended with a massive explosion that took the lives of most of its participants, as well as hundreds of innocent children from a nearby school. The Americans were horrified that their "defenders" killed so many civilians in the name of their own glory.

Scandal erupted. Under public pressure, the US authorities passed the "Superhero Registration Act", which was discussed even before the tragedy. Previously, the work of people in tights was not regulated by documents, but the authors of the law decided to make them responsible for their actions. From now on, each hero had to obtain a license, register himself as a weapon of mass destruction and listen to lectures on safety. In fact, the state hired all superheroes to serve itself and forbade any amateur performance.

The law divided the superhero society into two camps. The stumbling block was the point that obliged the characters to reveal their identities. Proponents of the act believed that the public could not trust masked strangers. Opponents objected that this would endanger the lives of the heroes. And the hero Cable even suggested that the superhero registration act was the first step towards creating a tyrannical police state. After the tragedy at Stamford, one of the main opponents of the act, Tony Stark (Iron Man), changed his mind and became an ardent supporter of registration. And his main opponent, unexpectedly for many, was Steve Rogers.

Both sides had strong arguments. The number of superheroes in the Marvel Universe has long exceeded all conceivable limits. Even the most responsible fighters against evil sometimes left behind the smoking ruins of the cities they tried to save. What can we say about less experienced characters? It would be worth listening to a lecture on safety precautions for everyone.

But everything was spoiled by the obligatory clause on the disclosure of the secret of personality. Yes, no one demanded to do this publicly, but a list of all American heroes without exception would appear in the state database. And if the information is stored somewhere, then it can be accessed, hacked or stolen, leaked to the Network or sold to interested parties.

When registering, each superhero actually painted targets on the backs of their family and friends. Now, anyone could appear on the threshold of his house, from an annoying paparazzi to a bandit who wants to get even. Comic book heroes rarely kill their enemies, so everyone would have detractors. Spider-Man was convinced of this on his own skin. As soon as he took off his mask on live television, his Aunt May was attacked.

Outcome

No one argues that the activities of superheroes should be controlled. But they don't just wear masks. Revealing the secret of personality is dangerous not only for the heroes themselves, but also for their relatives. And given the attention of the press, you can generally forget about a normal life.

iron Man

Captain America

fair fight

In the unfolding Civil War, both sides were good. Both supporters and opponents of registration did not shy away from the most disgusting tricks, ambushed each other, sent spies. But still, the associates of Tony Stark tarnished their reputation more strongly.

First of all, they refused dialogue and compromises. Instead of trying to convince opponents of the law of the need for change, instead of securing the personal data of superheroes, Stark prepared from the very beginning to fight the disaffected. It got to the point where SHIELD operatives even before the act came into force, they tried to arrest Steve Rogers. Is it legal at all?

Supporters of the law enthusiastically began to catch yesterday's friends. It was Stark who brought supervillains to his side, promising them amnesty in exchange for capturing heroes without a license. It was he, along with Reed Richards, who built a prison for his opponents in the Negative Zone, where the heroes were kept in inhuman conditions. It was Richards who built a cyber-clone of Thor, who immediately upon awakening killed a hero named Goliath. Hey, Reid, Tony, how do you have a conscience that allows you to sleep at night?

Of course, the plot of the movie will not literally repeat the events of the comic book. But the moral edge is still on Steve's side. In The First Avenger, we were directly told that the super soldier serum enhances moral character fighter, and what words can first of all characterize Steve Rogers? Honor, loyalty, nobility. He went through the whole war with Bucky Barnes, and even after the terrible discovery that his old friend was hiding under the armor of the Winter Soldier, he did not lose faith in Bucky.

But Steve has no reason to trust the government. He believed Nick Fury, and S.H.I.E.L.D. almost completely turned out to be a shell company for Hydra. Who can guarantee that Thaddeus Ross, personifying the state in "Confrontation", has no personal accounts for the heroes?

As for Stark, he has always spit on the interests of the state, and his current support for the "general line of the party" is explained by a sense of guilt for past self-confidence and past mistakes. After all, he was the one who created Ultron. Tony admits he's been wrong in the past. But who can guarantee that he is right now?

Outcome

It looks like the Rogers team is going to the lead. Let them say that the winners are not judged, but in war all means are good. but still, Steve always personified the ideals of freedom and justice, and in confrontation with a friend, he did not change his principles.

iron Man

Captain America

Who won the comic?

In the comic, the Captain's supporters initially won. In the decisive battle in the center of New York, they almost defeated the enemy, and the Captain himself was already ready to bring the final blow to the head of Iron Man. But here they intervened ordinary people tired of superhero showdowns. Steve realized that their quarrel was endangering people's lives and ordered his supporters to surrender. Many of them accepted the terms of the act, were registered and were granted amnesty. But Steve Rogers was supposed to stand trial as a war criminal, but he was killed on the steps in front of the courthouse. Don't worry, after a few years he was resurrected, and before that, his duties were performed by Bucky.

Team Strength

What is in the comics, what is on the screen The Civil War will divide all superheroes into two camps. This is not just a confrontation between Tony Stark and Captain America, but a fight of all against all. And it is important to know who is on whose side. In the original source, of course, the choice of fighters was much richer. In the absence of problems with film rights, the writers could use the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men, and Spider-Man. And although some (the same X-Men) chose to remain neutral, most superheroes did not stay away from the conflict.

The forces were basically equal, but the supporters of the bill had the numerical advantage. They included several prominent minds in the Marvel universe - in addition to Stark, the law was supported by Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic of the Four) and Hank Pym (the first Ant-Man). And although these geniuses together broke a lot of firewood, there were no such thinkers at all in the Rogers camp. And at the beginning of the conflict, Tony Stark also achieved a PR victory: he attracted Spider-Man, known for his secrecy, to his side. Peter admitted Stark was right on the air and took off his mask, which he later bitterly regretted.

On screen, Tony and Steve will have much less choice. Instead of almost a hundred characters, only a dozen and a half will converge in battle - although even this number makes The Confrontation the most "crowded" superhero film. In the camp of Steve Rogers, his comrades-in-arms Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson, as well as the Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man and Hawkeye, who seemed to have retired at the end of the Age of Ultron, are expected to be. On the side of Tony will remain the Warrior, Vision, Black Widow and Black Panther, for whom "Confrontation" will be the debut in the movie universe.

Team Captain, L-R: Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Sharon Carter, The Captain himself, Falcon I winter soldier

Most of the Captain's supporters are deprived supernatural abilities. Even Rogers himself can only boast of great physical strength and the ability to withstand strong blows. Likewise, the Winter Soldier. Falcon and Hawkeye are excellent warriors, but physically they are ordinary people. Ant is even less useful. Yes, he is able to disable complex equipment, and it’s hard to hit a small nimble target, but in general, Scott Lang is still a burglar, not a professional fighter. Steve's strongest ally is the Scarlet Witch, who has powers of telekinesis and magic.

Tony's team is more interesting. Both he and the Warmaster are not worth much in a fight without their suits, but they have the brains to not take off their armor before a fight, right? The Black Widow is also an ordinary person, but in no way inferior to Barton. And another question is which weapon is more effective - nine-millimeter "Glocks" or arrows with a bursting tip. Natasha also has vast experience in field operations. Finally, Vision is practically invulnerable and, perhaps, the strongest of all the characters in the film.

But the Black Panther is still a mystery - it is completely incomprehensible what to expect from him on the screen. We only note that according to the comics, his armor is made of vibranium and is not inferior to the Captain's shield. This means that he will have to try very hard to crush Panther's sides.

Team Stark, L-R: War Machine, Black Widow, Iron Man himself, Black Panther and Vision

Outcome

Both Tony and Steve have attracted worthy allies to their side, but we have to admit that the Iron Man team looks more impressive.

Where is Hulk and Thor?

"Confrontation" will affect all the Avengers, with the exception of two: Thor and the Hulk. The god of thunder flew home at the end of the "Age of Ultron" because he saw a terrible vision related to the events of the future film "Thor 3: Ragnarok". But what happened to the Hulk is unknown: the green giant disappeared behind the horizon alone. According to Mark Ruffalo, his character was originally in the "Confrontation" script, but then he was deleted from there. It is understandable - the side for which the Hulk fits automatically becomes the winner, because the Hulk is angry, the Hulk is beaten, the Hulk is crushed, and so on. Recently it became known that instead of participating in the Civil War, the Hulk will help Thor in Ragnarok.

Resources and support

Both in the comics and on screen, Steve Rogers and his supporters find themselves outlaws and go underground and are hunted down. The forces of his friends may be great, but Tony Stark has a huge advantage in resources. He has huge production capacity Stark Industries. If desired, if things go badly, Tony will be able to rivet at least a hundred suits like the Warrior, equip the army with them and put them against the Captain. In addition, do not forget that Stark is a reinsurer and paranoid, who, having barely met a potential enemy (that is, any superhero), invents means to deal with him. Consider, for example, the Hulkbuster armor from Age of Ultron. He's probably got a hold of the Captain, too.

In the comics, SHIELD squads were created to help Stark, specially trained to fight superheroes. And although in "Confrontation" the activities of the organization will most likely be reduced to zero (according to Kevin Feige, filmmakers do not pay attention to the events of the series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."), the entire power of the American state with its army , special forces, police and the CIA is not going anywhere. If Steve Rogers is branded as an "enemy of the state", all this power will fall upon him and his supporters. Even if he does well physically, it will be very difficult for him psychologically. It's one thing to fight criminals, terrorists or other superheroes, but what's it like to fight ordinary cops and soldiers who are just doing their job?

Movie Captain generally have worse than comics. For example, in the comics, Sue Storm of the Fantastic Four enlisted Captain Prince Namor and his Atlantean army to side with him. But neither one nor the other can appear on the screen. The rights to The Four remain with Fox, and Namor, one of the oldest heroes Marvel has long lost its former popularity. In addition, in the original, the Resistance hid from the authorities for so long and successfully because Nick Fury, also on the run, gave them access to a highly classified network of S.H.I.E.L.D. safe houses. However, to our (and Samuel L. Jackson's) surprise, this hero will not be in The Confrontation, which means that Rogers and company will have to hide themselves.

Outcome

Fighting the US government is always difficult. In the absence of Nick Fury and the Atlanteans, Captain America's supporters are clearly outnumbered.

Motives: movie

It looks like we have a draw. To "break" it, let's remember how the article began - from the motives of the parties. In the movie, they will be quite different from the comics. For Mark Millar, the stumbling block was precisely the disclosure of the secret of personality. In the MCU, this is not a problem at all. Steve Rogers has never hidden who he is. Tony Stark admitted he was Iron Man back in the first movie. Natasha, Clint Barton and Rhodey also have no reason to hide their names.

Therefore, the screenwriters of the film introduced new reason for conflict - Bucky Barnes. For Steve, he is still the same comrade with whom they fought against the Nazis in World War II. For the rest of the world, this is a dangerous criminal, the Winter Soldier, who has killed more people in half a century than the plague. According to rumors, it is he who is responsible for the death of John F. Kennedy and Tony Stark's parents.

Yes, he was brainwashed, he acted under hypnosis, but this does not mean that the authorities will let a professional killer go free under honestly. Captain America, like no one else, should understand this. And he understands, judging by the scene after the credits from Ant-Man. Why else would he choose not to ask Tony for help?

So this time, Steve Rogers is not so right. He fights against the law and the authorities not out of a sense of justice, but out of personal sympathy. It's one thing to protect the rights and freedoms of hundreds of superheroes, and quite another to save your terrorist friend from jail.

And I never painted over the scarlet star on my shoulder

The authors of the "Civil War" played a cruel joke with the readers - they forced them to choose which side they are on. The arguments of both camps sounded logical, and this once again reminded us how arbitrary the division into good and evil, light and dark is sometimes. In the comic, the public's sympathy was more likely to go to Steve Rogers. But it looks like things are about to change in the movie. By his actions, the Captain puts himself above the law, which he volunteered to protect. But he serves as a role model for millions of little fans. What example will he set for them? That you can break the law if you don't like it?

Most likely, in the movie, Iron Man will be right and deserves to win. WITH great power great responsibility comes, and there must be one who will protect from the defenders. And then suddenly the Hulk will come with them again.
