III. Mastering new content and its application: work on the textbook (p. 37).

1. Examination and description of the content of the reproduction of the painting.

Consider a reproduction of the painting(the teacher demonstrates a reproduction of the picture using an interactive whiteboard) .

What did the artist depict in the painting?(The artist depicted early autumn.)

Why do you think so?(The artist used soft yellow, blue and green tones when painting the picture.)

Autumn - favorite time year of the artist.

Did you get the impression that you see the autumn landscape as if from above?(Yes. The artist probably climbed a hill and chose a place from where he would paint for a long time.)

What do you see in the center of the picture?(River.)

It should be noted that Polenov used in the picture a technique characteristic of his manner: the organization of space with the help of an arc. On the canvas, this arc is the image of the Oka River, which balances and completes the picture as a whole. The river flows, dividing the picture
into two parts. Oka - favorite place Polenov. “How I would like to show you our Oka. After all, you and I were the first to discover its beauty. Then for some reason it seemed to you that in this beauty and harmony no, no, and a harmonica would slip through. Now I have been living here for twenty-two years and have never heard her, but the beauty and harmony are still the same.
(From a letter from the artist to K. Korovin.)

How did you see the river, its banks?(She is a mirror of the entire landscape. It reflects the trees that grow along the river and the blue sky. The shore is strewn with clean, as if sifted, sand. In the summer, village children play and bathe there.)

How did you see the water meadows going to the horizon?(Green islands are visible on the ocher-yellow grass.)

How did you see the trees and their autumn attire, the earth?(In the thick of golden trees, young green pines shine through, and three old pines growing nearby rise above them. The path, trampled down by the locals, leads into a dense forest. There they gather mushrooms and berries. In the lower right corner of the picture, the shadow of a large tree is visible.)

How did you see the sky?(In the blue sky, through which air clouds float, no clouds, grayness and other signs of bad weather are visible.)

What do you remember about the picture?(From the picture breathes coolness and silence. I want to dissolve in gentle beauty and harmony, think about the smooth and unhurried course of life. It can be seen that part of the author's soul is forever frozen in the work, filling it with warmth and soft inner light.)

2. Drawing up a story.

How many parts will the story have?(Three parts: introductory, main, final.)

What will you write about in the first part?(About the artist, his painting.)

What will you write about in the main part?(Let's give a description of the nature depicted in the picture.)

How will you end your story? What words will you start sentences in which you express your opinion, your impressions about the picture?(Student statements.)

(Two or three sentences.)

Now think about what you will talk about in the main part?(About the content of the picture.)

How many proposals will be required for this?(At least five sentences.)

What will you talk about in conclusion?(About why you like the picture.)

How many proposals will it take?(One or two sentences.)

Retell the text.(1-2 students retell the compiled text.)

Does the content of the story fit the theme?

From the picture breathes coolness and silence.

Option 2

At the Russian language lesson, the teacher presented paintings by the artist Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov. Most of all I was struck by his painting "Golden Autumn".

The picture shows early autumn. We see the autumn landscape as if from a height. The picture is made in soft yellow, blue and green tones. In the midst of golden trees, young green pines shine through, and three old pines growing side by side rise above them. Green islands are visible on the ocher-yellow grass. In the blue sky, through which air clouds float, no clouds are visible. The river is the mirror of the whole landscape. The river surface reflects the trees that grow along the banks and the blue sky. The river stretches, dividing the picture into two parts. The shore is strewn with clean, as if sifted, sand. In the summer, village children play and bathe there. A well-trodden path leads into a dense forest. There locals gather mushrooms and wild berries. In the lower right corner of the picture, the shadow of a large tree is visible.

It can be seen that part of the artist's soul is forever frozen in the work, filling it with warmth and soft inner light.

What did you compose and write down?(Text based on a reproduction of the painting.)

How did you get on with the job? What caused the difficulty? How do you rate your performance in the classroom?

In the picture of the artist V.D. Polenov "Golden Autumn" depicts a piece of the world where the artist lived and worked: the Oka River with its banks in the very middle of autumn, a bird's-eye view. Such picturesque places have always touched the heart of a Russian person - expanse, free air and beauty. native land who always lives in the heart, no matter where you go. It is easy to imagine how a person who accidentally sees and realizes this beauty breathes deeply and sings.

A beautiful powerful voice spills over the river, the echo carries it far, far away, and the Russian song flying over the water takes on own life. I want to sing loudly, hearing the splash of my native Oka, seeing the expanse of its open spaces, warmed by the last rays of the sun. Soon this beauty will disappear: a cold wind will blow, and the leaves will fly around, the landscape will inspire despondency with bare tree branches, this secluded little world will not exist.

The eye will look lonely through the exposed gaps. But so far it is not visible through this lush foliage. Perhaps the artist is watching this picture from a hill, imagining himself as a bird flying over his native expanses. He sees a road illuminated by the sun, on which shrubs that have not yet turned yellow are visible, the grass around it is green almost everywhere. But autumn is already coming into its own, adding a yellow-crimson color scheme, and the exuberant colors seem to hint at its fragility and imminent disappearance.

The road leads through the forest to the hill, where a lonely little church turns white. One can imagine how the artist went to the place from which he observes all this beauty: from the side of the church, through the woodlands - somewhere there, behind the hill, probably small wooden houses, livestock, palisades, ordinary peasant life ...

On the opposite bank of the river, a green plain is still visible, which, probably, is flooded with melt water in spring - this can be understood from the sandbar. There are almost no bushes on this bank, a ravine is visible - the river wins more space, wanting to expand its channel, tirelessly undermines the bank.

The river itself is, as it were, the center of the picture, the banks are its colorful frame. Curved in the shape of a sickle, it does not look lonely yet, autumn is reflected in it with all colors. The river carries its calm waters somewhere far away, to distant hills, meandering straight towards the horizon.

The artist sighs, daydreaming, and shakes off the numbness that has taken possession of him ... His gaze again returns to the high bank of the river overgrown with forest, which is located directly in front of him. Living colors - golden, green, purple-brown - again bring him back from the land of dreams to the present.

The artist stands for a minute with his head thrown back and watching the sky full of clouds. He enjoys the fragility of the moment. Maybe tomorrow this beauty will be disturbed by wind or rain. But for now, these are the last moments of a warm autumn, and you need to capture them - in memory and on canvas. Yes, this particular piece of native vast Russia. And the artist sits down and begins to create...

I look at this picture and try to understand what the great Polenov felt when he painted it. Probably admiration. The picture speaks of the tranquility of nature and the beauty of the moment seen by the artist. But one thing is clear: Polenov loved his Motherland. Its vast expanse, the splendor of nature, and he understood the value of the moment. Together with him I admire and breathe in the air of the expanses of my native side with full breasts. Yes! It is impossible not to love Russia.

One can only feel its greatness, be proud and believe in the future, looking into the foggy distances. Of course, I liked this picture. Remembering her in the bustle big city, you will sigh furtively and want to go where beauty is spilled in everything - in nature ... And now I'm going out of town. Not a picture of Polenov, of course ... but still ... this is Russia.

Painting famous artist V.D. Polenova "Golden Autumn" shows us beautiful view on the banks of the Oka River in the direction of the Spectacle Mountains.

The place is quite specific. Not far from him, in the Bekhovo estate, at one time the author of the painting “Golden Autumn”, Vasily Polenov, lived.

V. Polenov "Golden Autumn"

About the artist

Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov was born in 1844 into a large noble family. His family lived in Petersburg. The artist's father was a fairly well-known archaeologist in his time, and his mother was engaged in painting and writing books for children.

When Vasily Polenov was 12 years old, his parents saw in him the talent of an artist and hired a teacher from the Academy of Arts for him. This teacher was Pavel Petrovich Chistyakov, who had a very great influence on Polenov's work.

From 1861 to 1863, Polenov studied at the Petrozavodsk gymnasium, and after that he entered St. Petersburg University at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. At the same time, he studies at the Academy of Arts.

In 1867 Vasily Polenov graduated from the Academy of Arts with a silver medal.

The artist's work begins to enjoy high popularity. After graduating from the Academy of Arts, Vasily Polenov travels a lot, which gives him inspiration for new works. He visits Vienna, Naples, Venice, Munich and other cities. Enough for a long time he lived in Paris.

In 1876, Polenov participates in Russian-Turkish war, and a year later he moves to Moscow, where he visits many art exhibitions and also shows his works to the general public. In those days, the artist's work began to enjoy great success, largely due to the painting "Moscow Courtyard", which was painted in Arbatsky Lane. Many contemporaries are beginning to call Vasily Polenov the master of the epic landscape.

In the early 80s of the 19th century, Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov traveled to the Middle East: to Palestine, Egypt, Syria and other countries in search of inspiration.

The artist died in 1927 in his estate, having lived for 83 years. Above the grave of Vasily Dmitry Polenov, according to the will of the artist, depicts the Olonets cross.

Painting by V. Polenov "Golden Autumn"

The picture "Golden Autumn" Vasily Polenov wrote in 1890, after he bought himself Vacation home in the Tula province on the banks of the Oka River, thereby fulfilling his old dream. The house was in a quiet and beautiful place.

It is worth noting that in this moment This house houses the historical and art museum of V.D. Polenov, which has preserved the interior and furnishings created by the artist.

Museum-estate "Polenovo"

In the picture we observe the majestic and at the same time calm autumn motif. "Golden Autumn" is made in yellow and green colors. In the foreground, we see a path that people probably walk on, but we do not see where and from where it leads. Yellowed leaves on some trees are about to fall to the ground. Behind them are three tall and old pines, which by their dark green color stand out from all other trees.

Clouds are visible in the bright blue sky, but no clouds are visible, so nothing portends bad weather. The relatively narrow river Oka reflects the entire surrounding landscape. Its smooth surface reflects the trees that grow next to it, and the sky with clouds. On the left side of the river, the bank is strewn with sand. The river goes into the distance of the horizon, so we do not see its end.

In the distance on the horizon is a small rural church.

It is easy to see that the whole landscape is drawn from a height, which means that Vasily Polenov has been looking for a suitable place for quite some time to depict his picture from the best angle.

Vasily Polenov was able to convey the extraordinary in the ordinary, and this is the skill of the artist.

Golden Autumn - Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov. 1893. Oil on canvas. 77x124 cm

A born landscape painter, Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov, made a huge contribution to the development and evolution of this genre. wonderful picture"Golden Autumn" refers to the second period of the painter's landscape work. The thing is that critics divide all Polenov's landscape works into two stages - until the mid-1880s and after.

Carried away by the landscape in, on a creative expedition that Polenov spent together with, the master already demonstrated in his first works individual approach to this genre - the widest plein air, freshness, saturation of colors, naturalness, a clear clear drawing and a well-balanced composition. Later, the author abandoned the deliberate task, creating poetic masterpieces, full of love to nature and admiration for the surrounding world. Such is the canvas “Golden Autumn”, written in 1893.

Why is this painting so attractive even after more than a hundred years since its creation? Perhaps the answer to this question lies in the personal preferences of the author. As you know, Polenov's favorite time of the year was autumn, and to the Oka, which is depicted in the picture, the author had special treatment- the author lived on the banks of this river for more than twenty years, never ceasing to admire and admire it. Back in 1890, the artist moved to the Borok estate in the village of Byohovo, and three years later this painting appeared.

The composition of the picture is subordinated geometric line- the space is organized with the help of an arc. Such an arched image of the river is a characteristic Polenov's technique that forms the composition. The author abandoned his usual comparison of two plans, far and front, leaving only a wide scope. The viewer imagines himself standing on the top of a hill, and from this point a magnificent colorful September landscape helpfully stretches in front of him. Moreover, the locals easily recognized this place - the master depicted everything truthfully and realistically. The view of the Oka opens from the opposite side of the Spectacle Mountains, and in the upper right corner you can see a white bell tower gleaming in the sun.

A wide panoramic turn does not immediately “reveal” all the cards - rather, our gaze follows the river, rushing farther and farther, deeper into the picture. Obeying the intricate trajectory set by the author, the viewer gradually comprehends all the delights of the opening view, which shows us the riot and variety of autumn colors.

For all its saturation and diversity, the color of the picture is surprisingly harmonious. By itself, the “multi-colored” autumn finds a talented poetic implementation within the framework of the canvas, thanks to the ingenious instinct of the author. The general color is yellow in all its tonal variations: from soft ocher to solemn gold. Yellow birch trees surround the river in orderly rows, but through their thick, catchy outfit, the dark green foliage of some other tree with spreading branches peeps through. Most likely, this is an oak that has not yet been touched, not painted. autumn at times, and it carries another echo of the irrevocably leaving summer. The ocher color is diluted with green young fir-trees, planted unevenly in an open meadow along a well-trodden path, and a gentle sandy shore on the opposite side of the river.

The noble juxtaposition of yellow and green is brightened up with a blue tint. He is in the bend of the Oka, and in the sky, covered with small islands of lush clouds, and in a thin smoky line of the horizon, giving the picture airiness, weightlessness.

The sky in this work deserves special attention and detailed analysis. The artist managed to "catch" all the shades here and convey their shimmer - from the gray tones of the clouds to the light blue of the sky and the pink lines born from the reflections of the sun. All this is subject to its rhythm, and it seems that the sky is devoid of static, and just about the eyes will begin to notice a smooth movement.

The image of the surface of the river is also interesting. The mirror ribbed surface was able to absorb all the colors of the canvas. Here is the noble blue of the river itself, and the reflection yellow leaves trees, and the duplication of the sky, which thereby "loops" the composition.

Polenov was known as the creator of precisely the “intimate” landscape, in the concept that all the natural beauty that opens up in his paintings is somehow close to heart, native and understandable. It seems that any viewer, peering into the work of Polenov, will remember his story - everyone, for sure, had his own favorite sloping coast in life, Birch Grove, a dusty path trampled down by riders, a yellowed meadow, a village church, such a sun-drenched day that we carefully keep in our souls.

It is this warm feeling, born from the contemplation of Polenov's landscapes, that makes his work so attractive and even hypnotizing. And also the unconditional genius of Polenov the painter and his sincere boundless love for the Russian land.
