For the most part, it is pronounced in those notorious first two episodes, somewhere in the middle (well, when everyone is running around with this Japanese super-gun) and not so much at the end. I just want to say take Beth out and replace them with some kind of terrorism (which almost happens at the end), cultists, zombies, a virus, sentient robots (hello Bender!), angels (hello Eve!) or other tentacles (hello octopus!), nothing much would have changed. For they remember about Beth only when it’s completely pinned down and someone needs to be killed quickly. Although, there is “see you tomorrow” (well, at least not “Come on, goodbye!”), “total eclipse” and the crown of the “Heat” program (by the way, something I can't believe that they were all killed). By the general mood, it is felt that the anime was filmed in the 80s.
And this is not to mention the fact that many did not like the fact of the resettlement of Russians in Alaska. I will not support various patriots (no, this is not a provocation), but I will only remind you that this is happening in alternate world, where “the impossible is possible” (I hope there is no bilan there?), and the authors, most likely, only wanted to show the superiority and dominance of the Russian nation over other allied peoples. Therefore, they left all sorts of "Kazakhs and Georgians" to defend their homeland. Russians in this world are the elite, why not pride? But what about the series itself? And then he started a controversy here, you know, and really not a word about anime? What about the series? The series is like a series. Lots of gossip, a little (so much so as not to ask for the ecchi genre) fan service, enough gore, murders, monsters and fur. The only big downside is the start. Too dynamic, too cool. And indeed, show these first 2 episodes and any 2 others to a person who has not watched, and he will say, with almost one hundred percent probability, that these are two different series. Here, too, instead of developing the strengthening of walls, the construction of defensive structures, stationary cannons, cities of fortresses, people live behind a chain-link mesh in cardboard houses (in the sense that they are not fortified), without sensible perimeter protection and flatly refuse to use napalm, chemical weapon, nuclear strikes on completely lost territories and (the most fun!) autopilot on furs against monsters! Why was the autopilot remembered only when it was necessary to wet people? Why couldn't it be, instead of sending young people to their deaths, just send an army of radio-controlled doodles to the stupid kneading of the territory? After all, the monsters are stupid, like a herd of sheep. They take the rod forward, devour everything in a row and attack large clusters of equipment and people (well, sometimes they also try to dig, but they still don’t have meaningful tactics). So why is it impossible, for example, to mine the area (local, not the whole of Alaska), infect alien biomass with viruses (we have so many different diseases!), disguise themselves as our own (how do they distinguish an enemy from an ally, they don’t eat each other)? Many questions, the answer to which is the same - we have furs and schoolgirls (well, not schoolgirls, but still young people, beautiful girls). So don't care. Hooray! Forward to the enemy!

Will the GG be happy with two Russian nyashki at once or will he fap on Takamura (he won’t give a Chinese woman (but she’s even vice versa), and her colleague herself doesn’t admit it). And finally, will that Japanese super-gun be put into mass production or will everyone pretend that it never existed?

I will say in advance that I have not watched Gundam and many other anime in the mecha genre (well, except for Eva) and this is my first experience, so I won’t compare it with others.

It is also told well and without gaps (at least I didn’t notice any), also in some episodes there were hints of further events, as well as phrases that make you think, and yet they don’t spoil the feeling of viewing and they still need to find (since I am rewatching anime, I know the plot and see them perfectly, although looking at such moments for the first time you may not notice or simply not attach importance to them). Toward the end, you can notice that romance comes to the fore, but BETA is simply lost. This can be explained, because the Muv Luv series is primarily romantic novels(I have not personally played, but judging by the description, it is so). I also want to touch on comic situations (yes, there is such a thing), they fit well into the atmosphere, although they do not shine with originality, they always look good, with a slight smile, and to the point, which is very important! The love polygon relaxes the setting. There are also prerequisites for a harem, but as it was sung in one song, "It is not destiny, it is not destiny..." and yet I am inclined to believe that he will be superfluous here. The ending itself with action and unexpected twists (where without them). But unexpected twists and really gone.
