The very name of the theater - "Benefit" - is not accidental. In this word there is the aroma of theatricality and an invitation to meet with artists.
In the early years of its existence, in addition to the permanent troupe, directors and actors from other theaters were invited to play separate roles. So, in 1991, a talented director, a student of A. Vasilyev, Alejandro Gonzalez, staged here "The Classics Game" by J. Cortazar. Later, in the performance based on the play by Nina Sadur “The Caught Swallow”, Anna Nerovnaya invites famous and beloved by the audience artists: Anna Kamenkova from the theater on Malaya Bronnaya, Yevgeny Knyazev and Elena Ivochkina from the theater named after Evg. Vakhtangov. The play was a huge success with the public, ran for thirteen consecutive seasons. The video recording of the performance, made by the Kultura channel, was included in the Golden Fund of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. In the performances "Inaccessible" by S. Performance "Chemistry Teacher" at the Benefis Theatre. I saw a lot in the theater, went and watched famous actors, titled performances ... but the guys with their performance "chemistry teacher" touched me to the core. When I worked at the distribution center for homeless children, I felt approximately the same as the heroes of the play. I felt each of them on stage, children who do not understand what they are doing and there are no restrictions on them. Of course, much is exaggerated in the play, but this theme of children left to themselves, who "smear" classmates, do not respect adults, do not know what education is, they consider themselves smarter than everyone and more mature than everyone, but each of them is lonely in his own way and this topic, she is like a boil brewing the whole performance. But the teachers ... their hopelessness, it is visible to the naked eye. The chemistry teacher simply does not want to notice everything that is happening around him, it hurts him a lot. Because there are no children around, but wolf cubs, ready to devour each other and all together one. It is pointless for children to watch this performance, they see only the stereotypes of life in it and it is funny to them, where they should cry. I cried .... bravo! The work of the actors is so (in my opinion, I am not a theater critic and not a theater-goer) professional that you involuntarily begin to empathize with Mishenka Balzaminov (Evgeny Lyubimov) in his desire to get a rich bride, to the point of physical trembling, to the point of sinking heart. It is his desire that is physically transmitted to the viewer. - "I have such a taste!" - "Oh, how I would be on the troika Orlovsky, with a young wife, along Sretenka!" To sympathize with his mother (Natalya Filippova) who is worried about her son - "well, what to do, if God did not give talent, then live well, oh how you want."
