Hvorostovsky's heirs now have to share a luxurious 300-meter apartment in the London district of Hammersmith, which realtors estimate at about 10 million pounds. The first wife, Svetlana Ivanova (1959-2015), was once a corps de ballerina at the Krasnoyarsk Theater. In 1986, Svetlana met Dmitry, then a beginner singer. His parents objected to their marriage: an artist, windy, and she already has a daughter ... Dmitry got married, adopted a girl. And once, returning from a tour, he found his wife with a friend. In a rage, Hvorostovsky beat both - and almost went to jail. Later, Dmitry moved his wife to England, where she gave birth to twins: Danila and Alexandra. But family happiness did not last long and, five years after the birth of the twins, followed high-profile divorce couples.

Dmitry only many years later explained that he “could not forgive the betrayal”, indirectly confirming the talk about his wife’s betrayal. By the way, after a while, the ex-wife reminded herself through the court: she achieved an increase in alimony from Hvorostovsky to 140,000 pounds a year and money for educating children, even though the baritone helped the first family and left them a London house.

But, despite the disagreements with the ex-wife, the singer had an excellent relationship with the children. Danil's son followed in his footsteps - connected his life with music. And Sasha became interested in painting and is trying to become a real artist.

Svetlana died on December 31, 2015 from sepsis, which was the result of untreated meningitis. Dmitry could not fly to the funeral (shortly before Svetlana's death, they reconciled) - he toured, despite the fact that he was also diagnosed with a terrible illness - brain cancer.

Unfortunately or fortunately, but for the sake of children, you often have to sacrifice something. So I was faced with a choice: either sacrifice myself for the sake of children and become unhappy, or choose my own happiness. I settled on the second option. But I still think that I took the right step, it was for the best,- said the singer

Dmitry Hvorostovsky: biography

Dmitry Hvorostovsky was born on October 16, 1962 in Krasnoyarsk. His parents by the standards Soviet Union had a very prestigious professions: Father Alexander Stepanovich was a chemical engineer, and mother Lyudmila Petrovna worked as a gynecologist in the hospital. But the main hobby of Alexander Stepanovich was still music. The father of the young singer had a deep baritone, which Dmitry inherited, and played the piano beautifully. In the evenings, the Hvorostovsky family gathered in the living room, where Alexander Stepanovich sang along with his wife, accompanying himself on the piano.

Dmitry Hvorostovsky began to sing at the age of four, performing old romances And folk songs. His idols were Ettore Bastianini, Tito Gobbi, Fyodor Chaliapin and Maria Callas, whose records were collected by the boy's father.

When Dmitry went to general education school, which was literally in the next yard from his house, the parents decided to send their son to learn to play the piano in parallel. Studying was difficult for Dmitry, he could not boast of good grades. In the tenth grade, the future singer was written such an unflattering characterization that after graduation, Dmitry preferred not to remember his school years.

After receiving a certificate of secondary education, Hvorostovsky entered the Krasnoyarsk Pedagogical School named after A.M. Gorky to the music department. At the same time, the guy became very interested in the rock music style that was fashionable at that time. He became the soloist and keyboardist of the Raduga group, which played in various directions in restaurants and clubs in Krasnoyarsk. Dmitry strove to match the image of a rocker as appearance, and behavior: he was often a participant in fights and often went on a spree. At one time, the future singer even wanted to quit his studies, but changed his mind and successfully graduated from college, having received the specialty of a music teacher.

In 1982, Hvorostovsky entered the Krasnoyarsk Institute of Arts at the vocal faculty. He got into the class of the best teacher Ekaterina Iofel thanks to the intercession of acquaintances, since there were simply no empty seats in the Iofel group. The first two years of study were quite difficult. In fact, he had to be retrained from choirmaster to soloist, which pretty much annoyed the impatient and quick-tempered guy. In the third year, things got better, and Dmitry Hvorostovsky began to understand his teacher literally from a half-word. During the training, the student never missed the classes of Ekaterina Iofel. In 1988, the singer graduated with honors from the Music Institute.

Career

In 1985 Dmitry was invited to the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. First, the young soloist was entrusted with the performance of minor parts. Soon, thanks to his unique voice and incredible talent, Hvorostovsky became the main voice of operas by Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Gounod and Leoncavallo. A year later, the young opera star became the winner of the first All-Russian competition vocalists, and a few months later - the All-Union Competition.

After graduating from the institute, Dmitry decided to focus on a Western listener and build his career in Europe. He actively participated in international competitions. In 1988, he visited France, making his debut on the stage of the opera house in Nice, and won the international competition, which was held in the city of Toulouse. In 1989, the singer went to the popular international competition vocalists, which was conducted by the British television company "BBC" in the capital of Wales - Cardiff.

For the first time in four years, a representative of the Russian opera participated in this festival. Khrovostovsky performed his favorite parts from operas by Tchaikovsky and Verdi, which won the hearts of the audience. One of the jury members even compared opera singer With legendary performer Luciano Pavarotti. Such high marks provided Hvorostovsky with an undeniable victory and recognition throughout the world. They started talking about him abroad and began to invite him to perform in the legendary opera houses of the world.

In 1990, the singer made his debut on the stage of the New York Nice Opera in the production of Queen of Spades»composer Tchaikovsky. Thanks to this concert, the record company Philips Classics drew attention to him, with which he signed a contract to record albums. In total, the company has released more than twenty records, including both the singer's solo programs and collections of arias from operas. Album "Black Eyes", consisting of folk Russian songs and romances for a long time was one of the most popular creations of the soloist in the United States and Europe.

In 1994, Hvorostovsky moved to London, where he bought a five-story house, and a few years later received British citizenship.

Hvorostovsky continued his performances in the best opera houses peace. Every year, the singer tours around the world with his solo programs, and also participates in numerous festivals and concerts. Dmitry was determined to defeat the disease.

Personal life

Dmitry met his first wife, ballerina Svetlana Ivanova, at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The young singer was crazy about the dancer, who at that time was divorced and raised the child on her own. This fact did not bother Dmitry at all, two years after the start of their romance, he moved her to his room in a communal apartment, and in 1989 they got married. Many friends and acquaintances of the singer were against this marriage, because Svetlana had a reputation for not being a very faithful girl.

The couple moved to London, where in 1996 their twins Alexander and Danila were born. Soon the relationship of the spouses began to crack. Svetlana refused to teach English language and help her husband with the development of his career, because he originally planned to make her his director. The couple began to move away from each other, and famous singer began to abuse alcohol.

In 1999, during a rehearsal, Hvorostovsky met Italian singer Florence Illy. The girl instantly fell in love with a talented singer and began to make attempts to get close to him. But Dmitry was still married then and could not reciprocate the girl. He filed for divorce in 2001. Svetlana sued her ex-husband for almost all of his property: a house in London, a car and the amount of 170 thousand pounds a year for the maintenance of herself and her children.

Hvorostovsky was very upset by parting with his once beloved wife, he had a stomach ulcer, and health problems began. But Florence's help and support helped him get better and overcome the beginning problems with alcohol. In the same year, the lovers began to live together. Interestingly, Dmitry only speaks Russian with children. He wants this language to be their first. Florence sometimes speaks French with the children, but says that their eldest son Maxim speaks excellent Russian - even without an accent.

Hvorostovsky came up with a funny nickname for his second wife

Dmitry met Florence Illy in Geneva, where they both sang Don Juan. The girl says that, like Hvorostovsky, she reluctantly agreed to participate in this production. But the performance turned out to be fateful: the performers met on the stage and were no longer separated. It is interesting that now Dmitry calls his wife Florence none other than ... Flosha.

The singer came up with a nickname for his wife when he first confessed his love to her. He spoke in this important point in Russian, and Florence did not understand everything, but, according to her own confession, "grabbed the main thing."

Now the girl, by the way, speaks excellent Russian and is keenly interested in Russian culture. The singer also addicted his wife to Russian cuisine: he taught her how to cook Siberian dumplings, cook cabbage soup and borscht. “Once, somewhere on tour, we made as many as a hundred dumplings for ourselves and friends,” laughs Florence (aka Flosha).

Dmitry was baptized after his plane nearly crashed

Dmitry was not baptized for a long time. But fate itself pushed him to this step. In the 1990s, when he was flying on tour, the plane almost crashed - even began to lose altitude dramatically.

The singer prayed for the first time in his life. As a result, the plane made an emergency landing, everyone survived. After this incident, Dmitry decided to be baptized. He is sure that God himself saved him that day.

Dmitry's first marriage was not ideal. Once, even before the birth of children, the singer returned from a tour and found his wife Svetlana ... with a friend. In a rage, Dmitry beat both of them and nearly ended up in jail. However, no divorce followed. The singer moved his wife to England, where she bore him twins. However, the children could not bring the spouses together: Dmitry and Svetlana constantly quarreled, because of which the singer had a stomach ulcer, he began to drink. In the end, the couple still divorced.

What is the current state of health of the opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky, the public wants to know. The first part of the treatment and chemotherapy courses allowed the singer to quickly rehabilitate and return to the stage. However, after some time, Hvorostovsky again began to be treated and decided not to take part in the 2017-2018 season of the Vienna State Opera.

Could the sad experience of past relationships affect the development of the tumor? It is known that with his ex-wife Svetlana, a happy marriage did not work out. Cheating wife hit self-esteem rising star. At that moment, when the husband, who returned from the tour, found Svetlana Ivanova with his friend, he struck them both, for which he almost got 15 days. Even having forgiven his wife's betrayal, Hvorostovsky never managed to be restored to the family warm relationship.

At that time, the artist began to drink alcohol, which had a bad effect on his vocal cords and his career as a whole. And after a while he did get an ulcer. The burning brunette Florence Illy, who appeared in Dmitry's life, persistently sought the favor of a married stage colleague, thereby getting a chance for a happy future with her beloved man.

Hvorostovsky's wife had to refute this fact and report on their pages in in social networks that her husband is in in perfect order and resting at home.

Director Mark Hildrew also gave comments to reporters, he also confirmed Florence's words that the news of Hvorostovsky's death was false. According to the latest data, Dmitry Hvorostovsky continues treatment at home, does not need a hospital, and feels good. Recently, despite an injured shoulder, Dmitry Hvorostovsky managed to give a concert in his native Krasnoyarsk. However, the concert, which was supposed to take place in September at the Moscow Conservatory, was cancelled.

At present, a wide audience of fans has to follow not only the work of the People's Artist of Russia, but also information about the state of his health. It is known that the singer has brain cancer and has been struggling with this disease since 2015. Despite the fact that the singer's voice data remained the same, he has big problems with the vestibular apparatus, but is determined to go all the way and cope with his illness against all odds.

As it became known, rumors about the death of the artist could have been provoked by Florence herself, who published a strange photo on her page. The two roses shown in the picture caused a mixed reaction among subscribers. But according to the woman, she addressed one rose to fans, and the second to her husband Dmitry.

For Russian users, an even number has always been equated with a sad symbol. Perhaps because of this rash step, the Internet exploded from the tragic news, which was picked up by journalists Komsomolskaya Pravda. Without confirming the accuracy of the information, she posted the news on her Facebook page, but then the words of condolence were hastily deleted.

Dmitry Hvorostovsky himself told about the state of his health today. At the end of October, after a long silence, Dmitry was active on social networks and thanked his fans for not leaving him without attention and congratulating him on his 55th birthday. On his Instagram, Dmitry said that he spent his birthday perfectly, surrounded by relatives and friends.

Revelations about the struggle for life

Also, on the eve of his anniversary, Dmitry met with reporters and told them about his plans for the future and spoke frankly about the disease. For two years, the singer has been fighting a tumor and does not give up. Hvorostovsky is sure that he will be able to give a concert in Moscow, which should take place before new year holidays.

The baritone now calls performances on stage a test, but he always relies on the fact that his voice and health will not let him down. The path to the opera is still closed for the artist, but he has more than enough strength for the London master classes. True, sometimes the disease makes itself felt, and Dmitry briefly gives up.

The artist admits that every concert he gives now becomes a debriefing. He also admits that due to illness, his social circle has become smaller, it is difficult for him to be at home, he needs work and his own space that brings pleasure. However, you have to enjoy the life of an introvert and get positive charge from interacting with children.

Fate Dmitry Hvorostovsky reminiscent of the Cinderella story male version. Dmitry was born in Krasnoyarsk on October 16, 1962 in the most ordinary Soviet family - his father is an engineer, his mother is a doctor. The only thing that distinguished the boy from others was that from childhood he was madly in love with singing.

After graduating from the Krasnoyarsk Pedagogical College, and then the Institute of Arts, Hvorostovsky became a soloist with the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre.

And then ... Next, Hvorostovsky was sent to the UK for an international competition opera singers"Cardiff Voices" or "Singer of the World", which is held every two years for participants from 18 to 32 years old, supported by the Welsh National Opera. After winning in Cardiff (first prize in the competition - 15,000 pounds), Dmitry's international career begins. He is invited to perform on their stages at the Royal Theater Covent Garden (London), the Bavarian State Opera (Munich), the Berlin State Opera, the La Scala Theater (Milan), the Vienna State Opera, the Colon Theater (Buenos Aires), the Metropolitan Opera (New York), Lyric Opera in Chicago, Mariinsky Theater of St. Petersburg.

In the early 1990s, the singer moved to live in London and admits that his life in Krasnoyarsk seems to him someone else's. As if it was not with him and read in some book - everything has changed so much. And yet, despite all these changes, the singer emphasizes: wherever he lives, he remains Russian. He also dreams in Russian and still thinks in his native language.

I must say that Hvorostovsky is an incredible perfectionist, Samoyed, despite all the world awards in the world of opera. Every time before a concert, he literally shakes with excitement. Dmitry himself says that if he had a well-deserved pension, then one could talk about calmness. But in the opera every day you need to prove that you are worth something. “Do you think if I sing at least three notes badly, they will still clap me? No". Admittedly, the singer, even if he has a disgusting mood or is seriously ill, he will still force himself to turn inside out and sing well. Otherwise, the end of the world will happen for Hvorostovsky.

By the way, as the master of the opera admits, his bad mood happens regularly, his character is irritable, suspicious. He literally shakes if something does not work out during rehearsals. Therefore, at one time, the singer even thought about buying a punching bag, so as not to take out his irritation on loved ones and not “growl” at them. Although he was lucky with those close to him. Spouse Florence, which Dmitry calls in the Russian manner Flosha, a positive, cheerful person with a wonderful sense of humor and optimism. They got married in 2001 and since then Hvorostovsky has been talking about his family life as about the main happiness of your life. Moreover, this a beautiful woman gave the singer two wonderful children - son Maxim and daughter Nina. Probably, everything in life is really balanced and a white stripe comes after a black stripe ... After all, before this idyll with Flosha, Hvorostovsky experienced dramatic disappointment and a difficult divorce. The singer's first wife was a ballerina Svetlana Ivanova, whom he met at the Krasnoyarsk Theater in 1986. The wife gave birth to baritone twins - a son and a daughter. But after a 15-year marriage, Hvorostovsky found his wife with her lover. A fight ensued, a long divorce and litigation regarding property and alimony Danila And Alexander. Dmitry has an ulcer on nerves. In an interview with AiF, the singer said: “Relationships with friends cracked because of my divorce, which was long and painful. Some acquaintances took a side ex-wife. I understand. But I do not forgive betrayal. I got myself an ulcer because of the divorce-related worries. Was supposed to sing "Rigoletto" in Houston, but slowly faded. I called my mother, a doctor, she was shocked by my condition: “Immediately go to the hospital!” After discharge, I had to eat meat, drink wine to restore blood loss. I barely managed to come to my senses for the premiere.

As a result, the lawyers of the former married couple came to the conclusion that the singer pays the amounts requested by the mother of the children, provided that the ex-wife does not marry. Dmitry also left her a house in the elite area of London - Islington. Last year, Svetlana Hvorostovskaya died in London - due to meningitis, a 56-year-old woman developed sepsis. Hvorostovsky could not fly to the funeral. By that time, he himself was already seriously ill. Today, everyone already knows that Dmitry Hvorostovsky is suffering from a brain tumor, the diagnosis was made in 2015. After extensive treatment and chemotherapy, he returned to concert activity, and yet, from time to time, due to his physical condition, he is forced to cancel performances. Many colleagues came out with support to Dmitry, Anna Netrebko even sang to opera stage in a T-shirt with a picture of a golden baritone.

As the star says, he continues to believe in the best and tells his oncologist: "We will still fight." And the doctor answered him: “Well, wow! Are you still alive".

The other day in the press there was information that Dmitry Hvorostovsky died. This terrible "news" was denied by the singer's wife Florence Hvorostovskaya.
