Parents greedily pounce on food and turn into pigs, becoming captives of the evil sorceress Yubaba, the ruler of the mysterious world of ancient gods and powerful spirits. The brave Chihiro must figure out how to rid her parents of the spell and escape from the realm of ghosts.
