HISTORY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHEERLEADING

Thus, cheerleading was born in the United States. Believe it or not, cheerleading was more popular with men in the beginning. However, when a huge number of men went to the front in connection with the 2nd World War, the situation changed dramatically, now more than 90% of cheerleaders were women.
In 1920, cheerleading was replenished with two innovations: drums and pipes. As the popularity of football grew, so did the popularity of cheerleading.
Active participation in cheerleading by women began in the 20s of the last century. At the University of Minnesota, cheerleaders have introduced elements of gymnastics and jumping into their programs, and the idea to dedicate a special area for cheerleaders belongs to Lindley Bothwell of the University of Oregon. In the 1930s, universities and colleges began to actively use pompoms, an attribute that to this day is calling card cheerleading. In the 40s, when most of the men left to fight, women not only began to work more in the rear, but also began to actively create cheerleading teams. It was then that cheerleading became predominantly feminine look sports. When the men returned from the front, elements such as turns and twists were added to cheerleading. The first ever professional cheerleading team was founded by the Baltimore Colts. Since then, high school teams have always performed at competitions to support their athletes. The Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders created their own "Broadway style" of dancing with pom-poms to entertain audiences.
In the early 70s, cheerleading became more and more popular. In addition to playing cheerleaders at football and basketball games, cheerleaders are now showing up at school sports, sometimes choose several different teams to compete in wrestling, athletics and swimming. The first television broadcast of the College Cheerleading Championship, organized at the initiative of the International Cheerleading Organization, took place in the spring of 1978 on CBS-TV.
In 1976, the Dallas Cowboy cheerleading team, performing at Super Bowl X, took the first step towards the development of dance cheerleading. In 1970, cheerleading competitions began to be actively held among college and high school teams.
In 1980, official safety standards and rules were established that prohibited some traumatic somersaults and pyramids. Cheerleading competitions among junior and senior teams were already held all over the United States. This sport began to develop on a national scale, special courses and cheerleading coaches began to appear.
Cheerleading got its start in Russia simultaneously with the advent of American football. The first cheerleading team in Russia was created in 1996 under the Children's League of American Football (DLAF).
Today, cheerleading is a rapidly growing segment of the sports and entertainment industry. Partly in response to the "internationalization" of basketball and American football, cheerleading has become an international sport in its own right, with countries such as Japan, Europe, Australia, Canada, and Mexico growing and flourishing.

Cheerleading originated in the United States in the late 1880s, and became most widespread in the 1970s. As the name suggests, cheerleaders lead the team's cheerleading squad. In addition to acting as an independent sport, cheerleading successfully accompanies many sports competitions and enhances the spectacle of other sports. Cheerleading can be divided into two main areas
1. competition of teams in programs prepared according to special rules;
2. work with sports teams, clubs, federations to perform the following tasks:
1) attracting spectators (fans) to stadiums and Sport halls in order to promote physical culture and sports, healthy lifestyle life;
2) softening the aggressive mood of fans-fans, creating an environment of "positive fanaticism" and managing the emotions of fans;

Cheerleading championships are held in several categories:

2004 - Winners of the FIBA competition to participate in XXVIII Olympic Games. For the first time in the history of the Olympic Movement, the International Olympic Committee decided to have a dance team participate in the basketball games. This right was contested by 10 strongest teams in the world, both European and American. The competition lasted 5 months, during which creative collaboration with FIBA and NBA-Entertainment, special compositions were delivered for each country participating in the Olympic tournament.

I remember a lot of great commands who broke up precisely because of the relationship in the group. But this could have been avoided if every person for whom it was important what he was doing would have taken and sorted himself out and made concessions. I remember very well the words that once said to me very good man, he said: "If everyone in the team stood on the first line and danced only to show off yourself, then how would it turn out, that graceful show? There will be no team without the first, middle and back lines! Do you think the back lines are not important? Isn't it wonderful when you're already dancing with your team, you feel your heart and the heart of each of the team, you feel how it beats to the beat of the music, you feel the movement of everyone who dances with you, you feel the energy of your team, you are torn from emotions, and in these moments you most happy man if you can feel it all.

We are not only dancing non-stop, but we do not stop and do not give up in the most difficult moments, we continue to fight because of all our strength, and this is all for the sake of the FAMILY!
