When the music is interrupted, the one in whose hands the note was, performs the task indicated in it. After that, the host takes out the next note, the game continues.

Before the start of the competition, you need to hang or put a darts board, inflate small air balloons and pin them to the board. The essence of the competition is very simple. Participants take turns taking three darts and stand at a distance of 3-5 meters, when ready they throw darts at the balls. The winner is the participant who completes all three in three attempts.

Pairs take part in the game. A man and a woman, holding an apple or a small ball with their foreheads, dance. The musicians speed up the tempo of the music, and the task of the couples is to hold the apple during the dance. The last tune the players dance to is "Bullseye", which, as you know, must be squatted.

My present
Even the process of presenting gifts can be beaten in the form of an unusual contest. Each of the guests must describe his gift with words and gestures, without saying its name aloud. If the birthday boy guessed the first time what exactly is hidden in the gift, then the participant receives an incentive prize - a big candy or an apple.

Broken phone
The competition can be held during the feast. The first participant comes up with a word, and says to the participant sitting next to him, he, in turn, must come up with an association for this word. And so it continues in a circle until the word reaches the first participant. If the word “Egg” came out of the word “Chicken”, then consider that the competition was a success. There are no winners and no losers, the main thing is a good mood.

The popularity of darts betting is growing every year, especially in European countries. Is our detailed guide will allow you to learn a lot about this sport, and increase your chances of success.

A rare month of the year goes without any darts tournament, which attracts more and more spectators in Germany, Austria, Holland and Belgium, as well as in such distant countries as South Africa, China, Thailand, Japan. In addition, it has been played in the US and Canada for several centuries, almost from its inception in the UK.

Darts deservedly belongs to one of the most accurate sports in the world. The player needs to hit a two-centimeter target with a dart from a distance of 2.37 meters.

Although initially it seems simple, turn sports, requiring the player to score 501 points as soon as possible, events here develop at lightning speed, and favorites in the game can change several times.

1. General information

From a reputed pub sport where obese alcoholics competed and smoking during competition was considered the norm, darts has taken a big step forward in recent years. To a large extent, this was achieved thanks to the PDC (Professional Darts Corporation) and manager Barry Hearn, who knows how to collect full arenas of spectators.

Weekly Premier League, which takes place every spring in largest cities Great Britain, for example, is offering a full prize pool of £725,000, and its final is played in London's 20,000-seat 02 Arena in London. And at the World Championship, £1,500,000 is already up for grabs, of which £300,000 will go to the winner.

Darts is one of the sports that has separate governing bodies. PDC and BDO (British darts organization) mentioned above. Bookmakers usually accept bets on events hosted by both organizations, but, as a rule, due to cooperation with Sky TV and more strong players, PDC competitions are more interesting to watch.

2. Rules of the game of darts

During a game of darts, an athlete throws darts at a round target. The number of points scored depends on the sector in which he fell.

In addition to the sectors, there are also three levels of difficulty. In the center of the target is the so-called "bull's eye", hitting it will bring 50 points. Hitting the outer circle, which is slightly larger (Bull) is worth 25 points. Two other narrow sectors allow you to earn doubling and tripling points. In case of falling into the large area outside the doubling sector, the player is credited with one point.

All professional tournaments count from the starting number (usually 501) to zero, and in some cases there may be additional conditions. Sometimes, to start the score count, the first dart must be thrown into the triple sector, which is not at all easy to do even for the best players. It is possible to score a maximum of 180 points in one approach - 3 times to get into the tripling of sector 20.

Determining a winner is very similar to tennis. The game is played until a certain amount lags (usually 9 or 11). To win in the leg, the last dart must hit the doubling sector (for this, the points are adjusted to an even number). The player who wins faster than 5 or 6 legs, respectively, becomes the winner. In the final stages of tournaments, the game already consists of sets (each has 3 legs). Usually, most matches are short-lived, lasting only a few minutes, and only the final takes about an hour.

3. Darts Tournaments

Many darts tournaments take place in the world every year, but almost all the main ones are held in the UK and Ireland under the auspices of the PDC: World Championship (Alexandra Palace), World Grand Prix (Dublin), Premier League (various arenas throughout England), Grand Slam (Wolves) and World Matchplay (Blackpool).

4. Betting theory

British bookmakers offer a good list with high odds in this discipline.

Outcome of the meeting: In addition to the victory of one of the players, draws are also possible in darts. The rules in the case of such a result are different for different bookmakers - some of them return the bet.

Correct score: This market is present in the line even of domestic bookmakers. Guessing the final outcome of the meeting is not so easy, however, there are strategies that allow you to earn money on it.

Total: These are bets on total number lags in a match. Some offices offer individual totals darsists.

Handicap: It is no different from a handicap in other sports. The same bet on the estimated winner with a predicted handicap.

Tournament Winner: In PDC competitions, the top favorite most often wins.

The most sets of 180 points: In foreign bookmakers, he calls it Most 180s. Very popular view rates among the British due to its peculiarity. It is not uncommon for underdogs to knock out 180 points more often than clear favorites due to the style of play.

Big checkout: Which of the darsists will close the leg with the most points remaining. This outcome is also defined individual style athlete. Some prefer to keep the risk to a minimum, and someone tries to close and 170 points.

Nine darts yes/no: You need to score 501 points in 3 sets. The odds for this outcome are in the region of 50, but this happens even less often.

5. Strategies

Accurate score

In the first rounds of tournaments (under the auspices of the PDC), the favorites are given ridiculous odds in the region of 1.05-1.1. the best way to benefit in such games will be a bet on the exact score of the match. Most often, the underdog manages to take several lags, and the final result is in the range of 10:2-10:6 (see the individual darist's statistics before betting). So instead of betting $100 at odds of 1.05 and winning just $5, it's better to break that amount down into proportions and place bets on the correct score.

Check Coefficient Bid Bookmaker
10-2 11 14,07 bwin
10-3 7,5 20,64 Willam Hill
10-4 6,5 23,82 Bet365
10-5 7 22,12 1xBet
10-6 8 19,35 Betfair

If the match ends as we predict, then instead of $5, the winnings will be $54.77, which is 10 times more, and more than justifies such a risk.

The column with the bookmaker is given for a reason. For getting maximum benefit from this strategy, you will need to have an account in several offices - in order to bet on the maximum of possible coefficients.

Outsiders in BDO

In BDO tournaments, the difference in the class of darsters is not as great as the coefficient reflects. Very often, unknown athletes make their way to the final stages. Studying such "dark horses" before the start of the competition can bring tangible benefits.

Lay bets on the stock exchange

Darts is a very liquid sport. In a few minutes that the game lasts, sometimes bets are made for a million euros, in 90% of cases for several hundred thousand. Markets jump a lot and the right approach to trading against the favorite can be profitable.

We will repeat once again that in this discipline the favorite most often wins, but in no match the odds go down strictly. When using such a strategy, it is very important to understand when it is necessary to close in a plus.

This approach is the most difficult to learn, but for those who have mastered it, it has become a stable source of income.

There are not many sites with information on darts on the Internet. You can find detailed statistics on players and tournaments on these two:

  • dartsdatabase.co.uk
  • dartsmad.com

Pool of bookmakers

Using Russian-language bookmakers for betting on darts is not particularly profitable. The maximum possible odds can be found on the Betfair betting exchange, and the British office Bet365 (see) broadcasts in live almost all games and provides a good painting on this sport.

Live broadcasts

Many live streaming of PDC darts can be found on Sky TV channels. Most major bookmakers like Paddy Power, Betfair, Bet365 provide their customers with live broadcasts, but the problem is a very large time lag of about five seconds, which is unacceptable for such a fleeting sport.

A subscription to the livepdc channel costs 3 pounds per month, but there is also a delay of 5-10 seconds. The ideal option, if you bet on darts during the match, there will be a live satellite broadcast of English sports channels. The time delay in this case will be only 2 seconds, which will give a certain advantage in the case of bets on the stock exchange.

Darts betting

Nowadays, darts are gaining more and more popularity. The game is quite simple and does not require serious physical activity, and you can learn how to accurately throw a dart at a target in a couple of evenings. But, among other things, darts is an exciting game that can interest anyone. In addition, from the inventory for the game you only need a target and the darts themselves, total cost which is minimal compared to the cost of equipment in some other sports. Although many have heard about the game itself, not everyone knows how to play darts!

Emergence

If the rules of darts are not known to everyone, then only a few know about the history of this game. This is due to a number of reasons. First of all, in principle, there is no exact data on how darts originated. Most English historians claim that the game originates from ordinary bow arrows. According to one legend, darts was born thanks to bored archers who were looking for a way to entertain themselves in a bar. As a target, they used the inverted bottom of an empty beer barrel, in the center of which was a wooden cork "Corke". Today, this cork has been replaced by the center of the target, the so-called "Bullseye" ("Bull's eye").

Actually, at the dawn of the development of darts, there was no talk of any rules, the task was simple - to hit the target. The game was gaining popularity among the regulars of bars and pubs, which means that the moment was approaching when there were no longer enough barrels for shooting, and it would be necessary to change the game. Similar changes have taken place, they brought the game as close as possible to its modern form.

The emergence of regulated rules of the game

The first regulated darts rules appeared in the first half of the 20th century. That is, these rules were documented, and according to them they were obliged to hold any official darts competitions. At this time, a scoring system was developed, the distance to the target was established, recommendations were made regarding throwing darts, and so on. After the end of the Second World War, the rules gained worldwide recognition, now they were played all over the world in exactly the same way.

Around the same time, there appeared International Federation darts, which brought together players from all over the world. After the establishment of the British Darts Organization (BDO), for the first time, all people far from this sport could watch the game on TV. Since 1992, after the advent of the PDC (Professional Darts Corporation), several major darts tournaments have been held every year.

But still, how to play darts? All the rules of the game come down to some important points. The first one touches the target.

About the dartboard

The target in darts is a circle or, if you like, a circle, having a diameter of 450 mm and a thickness of 40 mm. This circle is divided into twenty sectors, each of which has a small, medium and large ring. A dart that hits one of the sectors brings the player the number of points corresponding to the digital designation of the sector. Moreover, if the dart hits the outer narrow ring, then the number of points is doubled, and if it hits the inner narrow one, then it is tripled. There are also such sectors on the target: "milk" (the zone between the edge of the target and the outer narrow ring), a small green ring around the bullseye of the target and the bullseye of the target itself, called the "Bull's eye". When hitting the first of the sectors, the player does not receive points, if the dart is in the ring around the bullseye, then 25 points are awarded, the center of the target itself “costs” 50 points.

Strengthen the target in such a way that from the center of the target to the floor it is exactly 173 cm. The line from which the players throw darts should be 237 centimeters from the target. Which darts must be used in the game is also determined by some rules.

Any of the darts cannot be more than 12 inches (30.5 cm) in length and must weigh no more than 50 g. The dart has a thickened body called a barrel. It is made of brass for amateur athletes and tungsten for professionals. A sharp tip is fixed on one side of the barrel, called a point (that is, the English “point” is a point). On the other side of the barrel, a shaft (shank) is screwed in, which can be made of metal or plastic. It is usually easy to change. In the shank there are special holders for plumage, called flights. The plumage itself is necessary in order to give stability to the flight of the dart. It can also be replaced if necessary. Most often, manufacturers make plastic plumage (from nylon, nylon, etc.), which has a classic shape.

Arrangement of numbers on the target

It turns out that all the numbers on the target for darts are arranged in a certain sequence. An English carpenter, Brian Hamlin, designed it in such a way that the luck factor in playing darts is kept to a minimum. Therefore, sectors such as 1, 5 and 20 are located nearby, as well as 2, 3 and 17, etc. All this was done in order to reduce the likelihood of "good" hits on the target and to emphasize the skill, accuracy and accuracy of the player.

Such an arrangement of digital sectors is quite cruel in relation to the player, but at the same time it gives spice to the game itself, especially when amateurs who have big number errors.

Features of the game in 501

The most popular option, for which all the rules of darts (distance to the target, etc.) remain in force, is the game of 501. Most professional and amateur competitions are played according to a similar scheme. In personal tournaments, this type of darts is a regular duel.

The order of throws of the players is determined as follows: both participants throw a dart at the target, whose one is closer to the center, that player starts. This game uses a special scoring system. Each player starts with a score of 501, and from this number all hit results are subtracted until someone reduces their own score to zero. Each player has three throws in one go. However, any player can reset his score or end the game only by hitting a double or bullseye. If there is an overrun of points, then the last approach (three throws) is not counted, and the move goes to the opponent.

This feature makes the game in 501 extremely exciting and intriguing. The player cannot just throw darts mindlessly at the target, he must combine the result with meaning in order to reach a more convenient ending. When the score starts to approach 150 or 100, the player should start thinking about the strategy of further throws (depending on the current score). Often, doubling and tripling sector rolls become a priority, which will competently lead the player to “zeroing”. Sectors 20 and 16 are considered classic sectors for the end of the game.

For example, a player comes to the end with 89 points. He gets into the tripling of sector 19, he will have 32 points left, which can be closed by doubling sector 16. But he misses - he does not get into the tripling ring, but simply knocks out 19, then he has to close 70 points. To get out on null ending, the player can hit a 20 and hit the bullseye, or hit a double 15 and then a double 20.

How to throw a dart correctly?

Even if the player knows the theory of darts very well (rules, distance to the target and other nuances), all this is meaningless if he does not have correct technique throwing a dart. Therefore, you need to train. The whole technique of darts just boils down to throwing a dart correctly, and accuracy already comes with training.

After choosing a position for a throw, the player must stand half-turned to the target, imagining that his little finger right leg touches the throw line. Stepping over the line is prohibited, so at the first stages, you can put a stool or a box along the line. Then you need to choose the most stable and comfortable stand, while not forgetting to press left hand to the stomach. The stability of the player's body is the key to a successful throw. The player must lean forward slightly to provide the necessary space for the shot, as well as close the distance to the target.

The right hand with the dart should be held so that the elbow looks straight down, and the plumage of the dart is in one straight line from the eyes to the target. It is important to find your own way of holding the dart in order to feel it better. As soon as there is a feeling that the brush and dart are a single whole, a throw should be made, while the body remains motionless.

In order to accurately throw at the upper sectors of the target, it is necessary to slightly raise the forearm and slightly straighten the body. For an aimed throw to the lower sectors, the forearm drops slightly, and the slope of the body slightly increases. To select the correct position and manner to hold the dart, it is recommended to practice bullseye throws.

training games

For the development of accuracy skills and technique development, there are several training games which are used in the preparatory process even by the best players in the world. So, among them:

  • "Round". The task is to hit sectors from 1 to 20 in turn, then doubling these sectors and tripling. The game ends with a hit on the bull's-eye. Moreover, if in one approach all three darts hit the target, then the player gets the right to a bonus approach out of turn.
  • "Thousand". In the game, only hits in the "green ring" and "bull's eye" are counted. Points are scored in series for one approach, respectively, either 25 or 50 points per hit. The first player to reach 1000 points wins. Iteration is possible.
  • "All Fives". Participants in this game try to score the maximum number of points with a series of three darts, which will be a multiple of 5. If the sum of the throws in one approach is not a multiple of 5, then the player does not receive credit points. Points are calculated as follows: the sum of the rolls is 5 - 1 point, if the sum is 10, then the player receives 2 points, if 15, then 3 points, 50 - 10 points, etc. The winner is the one who first reaches the sum of 51 points. Override is allowed.

Darts Tournaments

The rules of darts that exist in their current form were formed after the large international organization BDO was formed. Every year, the World Darts Championship is held, several major tournaments that bring together the strongest players from around the world. Among Russian athletes the most successful is Anastasia Dobromyslova, who won the BDO world crown three times (2008, 2012, 2013).

tournament etiquette

During the conduct of any darts match, there are several unspoken rules, on the observance of which the game of each individual player will depend. And although they are not as rigid and regulated as the standard rules of darts, 501 points are not scored in last turn due to the correct and adequate approach to business. In this kind of tournament etiquette, for example, mutual respect between players and silence in auditorium during the execution of throws by one of the participants. It is also prohibited to be present in play area third parties not related to gameplay, that is, any people other than players or representatives of the judiciary.

As a conclusion

Let the rules of darts not seem too complicated, moreover, they are even intuitive, but everything is decided by the nuances and various factors that determine the general position of the player in darts. The game depends both on his psychological well-being and on the degree of his fitness. And, of course, the ability to never give up!

When hobby becomes something more than just a hobby, it develops into sports, business, art.

As far as darts are concerned, when the skills of the game have already been achieved, all the goals set as part of the hobby have been fulfilled, but if you want something more, you can start participating in darts tournaments.

Athletes in the game of darts are, first of all, ardent fans of this game. Goals of championships, competitions and tournaments darts are the same as the goals of an ordinary game - score more points than rivals.

Darts Tournaments

Tournaments in this sport are held officially on three levels- at the local level, at the national level and international competitions. At the local level, darts competitions are run by local darts federations. These federations can be based in regional centers, million-plus cities, and regions.

To Local Federations includes members of the respective regions. At the national level, competitions are held to which teams and players from regional federations, less often - independent participants.

On the international level there are no longer competitions, but world championships in the game of darts.

The most popular international championships and premier leagues are broadcast on sports TV channels and, like almost all sports have a prize fund. Most large volume prize fund, of course, in world championships. In addition to the difference in scale, tournaments, men's competitions, women's and youth tournaments are held.

The largest concentration of championships is located in Europe since darts originated in the UK. At present Great Britain came out of European Union, but the European championships remained within it.

Competitions in Russia

In Russia, tournaments of federal and local importance are held in the regions. They are held by local darts federations, for players who are members of these local federations. Prize fund competitions at the federal level is not the biggest though, all depends on the sponsors of the Cup third party organizations.

At the All-Russian level, the status of the tournament is noticeably increased.

Rising along with the prize pool, as sport competitions country level supports FDR (Russian Darts Federation)- is an all-Russian sports and physical culture organization.

Tournaments of the All-Russian level are held in the most different cities Russia. Last years stages of the All-Russian competitions were held in Izhevsk, Elektrostal, Nizhny Novgorod.

World Championships

At the world level of tournaments, competitions, premier leagues and championships, much more is known. The most popular tournaments are BDO World Championship, PDC, World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, Darts Premier League, European Championship and World Darts Championship.

PDC (Professional Darts Corporation)- the main organizer of the annual tournaments in London since 1994. With solid sponsorship, the annual prize pool is approximately 1 million 800 thousand pounds sterling.

PDC in 1994 formed several players of the highest class, since then the corporation has been organizing all kinds of tournaments and darts competitions, both world-class and somewhat more modest.

Photo 1. James Wilson after defeating Christian Kist at the World Championship in 2014.

For example, PDCs are ProTour is 39 tournaments which are held on weekends around the world. These competitions are not broadcast on television channels, while the prize fund of each tournament is 35 thousand pounds sterling.

The same corporation recently launched Unicorn Youth Tour is a youth league, for players from 14 to 21 years old. The competition is running in 14 tournaments, the prize fund of each is equal to two thousand pounds sterling. This corporation in 1994 separated from the only organization up to this point that conducts world championships BDO (British Darts Organization).

Such championships and global corporations stimulate the development of the sports industry and prize funds, and the prestige of the competition give strong incentives to young and experienced players.

WFD Darts Rules

WFD - World Darts Federation, it was this organization that established the set of rules and regulations for professional darts tournaments.

The WDF is also the default sponsor of all major sports events currently held by Darts.

There are the following aspects of the game of darts that have been regulated by the WFD.

Target

The target in professional competitions is subject to many requirements. It should be made of natural bristle or fiber. Necessary clear traditional division of the target into 20 sectors, "bull's eye" - the central inner ring, the outer central ring, "triple" and "double" - inner rings that triple and double the number of points.

In addition, set very strict requirements for thickness and dimensions all materials, even to the wire section.

It should be round / triangular / rhombic section with a thickness 1.27 mm to 1.85 mm, for the wire around the bullseye - no more than 1.6 mm.

In addition to the format of materials, the requirements for the dimensions of all sectors and elements of the target are established, according to which professional darts targets are now made.

Dart

In tournaments, players use a set of their own darts. Their total length should not be more than 30.5 cm, and weight - no more than 50 grams. Each dart can consist of five separate parts- plumage, plumage fasteners, protection of plumage, shank and body of the dart.

According to the rules, all darts are thrown in turn hand with preliminary aiming. The direction of the needle in this case is towards the target. If you throw darts in other ways, they will not be counted according to the rules. And cannot be thrown again a dart that has fallen out of the target or bounced off, moreover, the dart will not be counted, even if it is returned to the target.

Important! The player is not allowed to deliberately damage the board by pulling darts out of it. In this case, a verbal warning is issued. On the third warning the player loses the peg, set or match.

Bars of throwing lines

General position about setting up the target: the target must be mounted at a distance 172 cm from the floor, counting from the floor line to the bullseye.

From the projection of the target position on the floor to the throw line - exactly 237 cm. It turns out with these standards that from the bullseye to the line of throw diagonally - 293.4 cm.

The throwing line bar is located on the throw line at 2.37 meters from the projection of the target on the floor. Bar height - 38 millimeters, and the length is 610 mm. During the match, the participants-players are forbidden to step on or go beyond the bar of the throwing line, as well as to lean on it.

If a player throws a dart not behind the throw line itself, but from any of its sides, then he should not step beyond the imaginary line-continuation of the throwing bar. If the rules are violated during the throw, the throw cannot be counted, and a verbal warning is issued in the presence of the team captain.

With the consent of the opposing team or the captain of the opposing team, checking the size and location of the bar. Such a check is made either before the match or during the breaks of the match by a person authorized by the WFD.

Game progress

After the registration of the teams, a draw is provided. At the draw, participants draw a number, flip a coin or throw a dart at bulls.

In these ways, the order of players in the tournament is determined. The winner of the draw is entitled to the first throw.

If matches consist of lags, then the winner rolls first in all odd numbers, and the loser rolls first in every even number. If the match is from sets, then the winner of the toss gets the right for the first throws in odd legs of odd sets and even legs of even sets. The loser in this case throws first in all other legs.

Participant names tournament are highlighted on the scoreboard in the same order as in the scoreboard. In pairs and team competitions, the order is displayed on the scoreboard before the start of the match itself.

Before the match, each player is given the opportunity to warm up, which consists in six shots at the target.

After the game competitions, the points are calculated and the scoreboard is checked. The results of the competition are announced.

GENERAL RULES OF THE GAME OF DARTS

Hang the target as shown in the picture:

Players take turns throwing 3 darts.

To determine the order, each player or one of the team throws a dart. The player closest to the center starts the game.

The score is kept by the darts remaining in the target after three throws.

Each side starts with a score of 301. The method of keeping score is to subtract the number of points received from the remaining ones.

"Bullseye" - 50 points, green ring around it - 25 points, the inner ring of the target triples the value of the sector ("Tripling" ring), outer ring of the target doubles the value of the sector (“Doubling” ring).

The winner is the one who managed to bring his score to zero first. It is necessary to finish the game with a throw in the “Doubling” or in the “Bull-eye” of the target so that the number of points received reduces the score to zero. ("Bullseye" counts as a double 25). If the throw of the dart resulted in more points than needed to end the game at zero (or else bring the score to one), then all three last throws are not counted and the score remains the same as it was before the series of throws that brought the score to bust or one. Each game in 301 is called "Leg". Five Legs make up a Set (the game is played up to three Legs wins). The final winner is the one who wins a given number of Sets. The game in 301 is mainly for two opponents. For team play the score increases to 501 (in pairs) or 1001 (in triplets and fours).

HOW TO LEARN TO PLAY GOOD DARTS

When playing darts, many often make the mistake of throwing a dart as if they were throwing a ball, while moving their arm far back and giving forward the body to give strength to the throw. No wonder they miss their intended target.

Shooting Position

When choosing a throwing position for yourself, you should not forget that the dart is light in weight, the distance to the target is small, and the target is very small in size. You will succeed if, during the throw, your body, slightly tilted forward, is motionless, and the throw is made with the elbow and wrist parts of the arm (see fig.).

For the sake of brevity, we'll be looking at throwing position with the right hand, so those who play with the left will need to make adjustments for themselves. So, stand half-side to the target, touching the throw line with the little toe of your right foot. Strictly ensure that you do not step over this line and in the future always fight correctly with your rivals. To do this, if possible, nail a wooden block to this line. Then, leaning forward slightly, choose the most comfortable and stable stance for yourself. Don't forget that sustainability is half your success. To further promote stability when throwing, press your left hand to your stomach. Leaning forward will provide the necessary space for the throwing hand, as well as shorten the distance to the target. Now push your right arm forward so that your elbow is turned straight down and the feather of the dart is in a straight line from your eyes to the intended target.

throw

Try to hold the dart in your hand in such a way that its tip looks exactly at the intended target. At the same time, strive to find such a manner of holding the dart in order to subtly feel its center of gravity. Make sure that the dart and your brush are like a single whole. We recommend working out the basic technique on throws in the "Bullseye". This will help you in choosing the correct position and manner of holding the dart. Practicing throws to the upper and lower sectors of the target, start from the already acquired basic equipment. For this: aiming on the upper sectors, slightly raise the forearm and slightly straighten the body; aiming at the lower sectors, slightly lower the forearm and, accordingly, slightly increase the tilt of the body forward. When your target is the sides of the target, don't try to throw diagonally. It will be more efficient to move along the boundary line, this will bring you closer to the intended goal. Achieve fluidity and grace when throwing a dart at a target. The meaningfulness of the movements and the achieved result will give you joy and confidence in your abilities.

ADVICE FOR LEARNERS TO PLAY DARTS

If you want to learn how to play darts well and beat your fellow rivals, you need to practice at least an hour every day to perfect your throwing technique. At first, achieve maximum accuracy of throws. Having chosen a certain sector, try to hit it with all the darts, achieving constancy. Then practice the game and the "Round" (see appendix) by throwing darts at sectors 1 to 20, following the sequence. Then make this game more difficult by keeping score by hits in the Doubling Ring, also following the order from the 1st to the 20th sector. When participating in competitions, play only those darts with which you practice. A true darts fan always carries his darts with him and uses every opportunity to practice and compete with friends. Take care of your darts, because this is your personal weapon, on which success in competitions and a good mood depend.

VARIETIES OF THE GAME OF DARTS

"Round"

The rules of the game are to alternately hit sectors from 1st to 20th, then "Doubling" and "Tripling" the 20th sector, and end the game by hitting the "Bull-eye" of the target . In the event that in a series of throws all three darts reach the target (for example: 1, 2, 3 or 12, 13, 14, etc.), the thrower continues his game out of turn. The scoring field of a sector is considered to be its entire area, including the "Doubling" and "Tripling" rings of the score. The winner is the player who hits the Bullseye first.

"All Fives"

In series of three darts, players aim to score the maximum multiple of 5. A series of throws that gives a number that is not a multiple of 5 does not count. The number 5 gives 1 point, 10 - 2 points, 50 - 10 points, etc. The winner is the one who scores 51 points first. The game is governed by the rule "Brute force".

"Twenty seven"

Each player is initially given 27 points. With the first three darts, you need to hit the “Doubling” of sector 1. In addition, each hit on the target brings 2 points (1x2). If none of the darts hit the “Doubling” of sector 1, then 2 points (1x2) are deducted from the available number of points (27). With the next three darts, you need to hit the “Doubling” of sector 2. In this case, each hit on the target is worth 4 points (2X2). If none of the darts hit the “Doubling” of sector 2, then 4 (2x2) is subtracted from the available number of points. Thus, the game is played until the 20th sector of the target. The winner is the one who, after throwing in the “Doubling” of sector 20, has more points left. The player whose score falls below one during the game is eliminated from the competition.

"Thousand"

The in-goal field of play is Bull-eye and Green Ring. Each player initially has no points and scores them in series of three darts, considering only "50" and "25". The winner is the one who scores 1000 points first. The game has a rule of thumb. Note. IN depending on the degree of your preparedness, you can play "500" or "250" according to these rules.

"Quick Round"

The game is based on the rules of the game in the "Round", plus: When hitting the "Tripling" of a given sector, the score moves three positions forward. (For example: you need to hit sector number 10. You get into the “Tripling” of this sector. Now your target is sector # 13). When hitting the “Doubling”, the score moves forward two positions accordingly.

"Round in Doubles"

The game is based on the rules of the game in "Round", except that: The scoring field of each sector is only its “Doubling”,
Note. This game most of all contributes to the development of your technique. Be sure to include Round of Doubles in your daily workouts. For a change, you can also play the Triple Round with the same rules.

"Diameter"

Competitors arbitrarily choose two diametrically opposite sectors and try to hit them with “Doublings” and “Triplings” along an imaginary straight line. (For example, "Doubling" sector No. 11 - "Tripling" sector No. 11 - "Bull-ey" ("Green Ring") "Tripling" sector No. 6 - "Doubling" sector No. 6.). The one who wins first to pass imaginary line through given points.

"Hockey "

The goal of the game is to be the first to score the number of points agreed by the players before the game.

Rules of the game: After drawing the start, the winner throws darts at the center (Bull 50). If he misses all three darts, the turn is passed to the second player. In the event that the first player hits the center (gets the puck), then he appoints a doubling of the sector into which he will throw darts (score goals). When hitting this doubling, he scores one point (scores one goal), 2 points if he hits 2 times, 3 points - 3 times. Then the second player continues the game. Since the 1st player took the puck (having hit the center), then in order to intercept it, the 2nd player also needs to hit the center, after which he assigns his doubling of the sector. If the 2nd player does not hit the center, the 1st can score points (scoring goals) in the doubling of the sector that was assigned to them before.

RECOMMENDED SCORING TECHNIQUE IN DART TOURNAMENT GAME

The results of your game with opponents will be determined not only by the stability of your technique, but also by the ability to competently bring yourself to the end of the game. The first step is to determine which of the Sector Doubles you are most likely to hit with certainty. At the same time, we recommend that you focus on sectors No. 20 and 16, which are considered classic. Secondly, you must accustom yourself from the very beginning to count points in decline, that is, from the given 301 or 501 points, subtract the results scored during the game. Thirdly, be especially careful when your score approaches 150 - 100. From now on, try to hit those sectors (their "Triples" or "Doubles"), hitting which takes you to your favorite ending. For example, you have 91 points left. You know that if you hit the "Tripling" of sector No. 17, you will immediately go to the classic "Doubling" of sector No. 20. Let's say you hit the field of sector No. 17, and at the same time you have 74 points left. Now you are trying to hit the Triple of sector #14, which will give you 42 points and lead to the Double of the classic sector #16. In this way, you are trying to make the most of every dart and thereby outperform your opponent.
