For a long time I was in the position of head of the personnel development department in one of the large manufacturing enterprises. I can say that I liked the work, and wage was high. But meanwhile, I never left the desire to do my own thing. own business. In 2009, the crisis came and the plant was closed, the entire staff was left without work.
It was then that the question arose: “what to do next?”. I live in the Kaliningrad region and there are a lot of those who deal in souvenirs (from amber, as a rule). So I decided to move in this direction. I opened a point of sale in a small resort town and purchased a batch of souvenirs. But since the products are all the same due to the purchase of goods from one supplier, my business is stuck. And then I realized that it was necessary to create something that others would not have. Something special and unique.
I am by no means an artist by nature, so the production had to be simple for me, and the materials and technologies should be low-cost and affordable. I opted for making souvenir pictures. I wanted the picture and the frame to be as one whole, and the image itself was located inside. I have tried many materials and different ways processing and brought out something special, his own. I started using this technique and initially produced three types of products (under gold, under stone and vintage). Now there are five of them.
In my production, I used the so-called product processing room (simply a garage), a computer, a printer (I used the simplest four-color one) and the most ordinary PVA glue.
I use pictures for my work. famous artists, views of the sights of your area and views of the sea, interesting pictures Japanese style. There was a big order for the last theme from a Japanese restaurant. Portraits are in rather good demand. I have partnered with photographers working for various events and they are the same and offer my services.
On this moment I have several points of sale - two of my own in resort towns, six points in souvenir shops in Kaliningrad itself (we want to sell them now) and two points in hypermarkets in the gift department. In February, we planned to open a souvenir shop with a personal brand “Pozitiff”, which will be located at the railway station in Kaliningrad.
There will be sold my work and the work of my two partners involved in the manufacture of individual works.

We take the frame from the lampshade. We cut out the paper so that there is a margin of about 2 cm above and below. Lubricate the paper with wallpaper glue and stick it on the lampshade. We cut the "reserve" in several places (so that there are no wrinkled areas) and carefully glue it inside the floor lamp. It turned out to be an almost new floor lamp. Now, based on our taste and interior, we decorate the lampshade with ribbons, braid, and whatever else we want. The leg of the floor lamp can also be wrapped with some ribbons or a beautiful cord. 
BOXES. To store seasonal shoes, clothes, many people use all sorts of boxes. These boxes can also be wallpapered. In order for them to fit well in the shape of the box, the wallpaper must be strongly moistened with glue, so it is easier to bend, drape, and give the desired shape. 
In such boxes it is very convenient to store all sorts of necessary and unnecessary little things. From the remnants of wallpaper, you can make postcards, gift wraps and bags and much more. 
FLOWER POTS, VASES, CANS. Usually flower pots are made of plastic or clay and are painted dull brown or white colors. And beautiful products cost a lot of money. A bright and colorful flower pot can be made by yourself, besides, it can be a good gift with a unique design for a colleague, friend or neighbors. 
To decorate flower pots, it is better to take small pieces of thin wallpaper, then it will be easier for them to lie on the surface and not create wrinkles. For better fixing, we apply glue again from above. When the glue dries, apply a layer of varnish. The upper side of the pot can not be wallpapered, I paint acrylic paint. Textured wallpapers are suitable for flower pots or simple vases. And vinyl wallpaper on a dense basis does not need to be varnished.
In the same way, we decorate smooth tin cans in which various little things are stored. Wallpaper residues can also be used to decorate various details: doors, book covers wall clocks, and that's not all.
FRAMEWORK. When decorating walls with wallpaper, you can move away from conventions and not glue them, but hang them. For example, in photo frames - you can get a good collage and great alternative accent wall. Buy several photo frames of different sizes, but identical in design, and insert fragments of wallpaper left after repair into them. Stylish decor for the interior is ready.
Hoops can be used as frames. Such an unusual approach will bring zest to the interior, and round shapes will add softness. The plain surface of the wall can be decorated with whole pictures of wallpaper. Pieces of wallpaper are glued onto cardboard and inserted into the frame. Or, on the contrary, you can cut frames out of cardboard and paste over them with wallpaper. 
Create a composition with frames of different sizes, also experiment with colors or wallpaper patterns. The same wallpaper in the same frames, located at a short distance from each other, will look stylish.
PANEL. From the remnants of wallpaper, you can make a panel. For a three-dimensional panel, it is necessary to have some kind of panel or slab made of chipboard, thin plywood or cardboard. The panel must be primed and wallpapered on the front side, wrapping the edges of the paper on reverse side. From the "inside out" mount the suspension.
Pictures with a large pattern on the wallpaper look especially beautiful. You can hang one panel on the wall, or several, or make a modular panel. As a panel, just sheets of wallpaper were used. In the upper and lower parts, a sheet of wallpaper is fixed on a crossbar. Monochrome wallpaper patterns look spectacular.
4. Wall decor.
PATCHWORK. If you have a lot of small pieces of different types of wallpaper, then they can paste over one wall or opening. This technique will focus on a certain part of the room or allow you to divide the space into zones. This design will be a cute decoration for a child's room. Patchwork wall will support the vintage idea of any rooms decorated in country style, retro. But do not forget about color combinations, choose no more than three basic shades.
FIGURES FROM WALLPAPERS. You can move away from clear geometric shapes and decorate a plain wall with wallpaper figures. This idea is especially relevant for children. It may appear patterned Balloons, cars, planes, letters, numbers; from the bright remnants of the wallpaper - animals and plants of all varieties - everything will look organic in the nursery. By the way, such an application can be an excellent way out of a situation with unexpectedly painted walls. FALSE PANELS. With the help of false panels, you can quickly and inexpensively update the design of the walls if you want to change something in the old finish. False panels can be glued over plain smooth wallpaper or on a wall painted with water-dispersion paint. Fragments of wallpaper of the desired size and shape are glued on top of the main finish.
Wallpaper that will imitate panels is preferable to take thick, textured ones. Silk-screened wallpaper looks elegant. After drying, the "panel" is framed. For this, moldings, wooden slats, plastic slats are used. Frames can be painted to match the wallpaper inserts or left contrasting. Mirrors, sconces are hung inside the wallpaper panels, small paintings within, Wall Clock and another wall decor. This wall design with panel filling is typical for interiors in classical style. For interior in modern style you can choose a different frame material: use metal or plastic strips.
HEADBOARD. A bed with a high headboard is an essential element of a bedroom in a classic and English style. If your bed does not have a headboard, you can simply paste wallpaper on a part of the wall of a different color and texture, thereby imitating the headboard and creating a particularly cozy atmosphere. Wallpaper with a pattern on a plain wall is a simple and inexpensive accent that looks very stylish, especially if you complement it with a similar pattern on bedding or a bedspread.
You can glue over an existing headboard, or you can create an intricate pattern from a sheet of plywood and wallpaper. Give your headboard an interesting shape and your bed will become a unique bedroom accent.
