After graduating from a choreographic school in the late 1990s, young Nadezhda Meikher got a job as a choreographer in a theater in Khmelnitsky, Ukraine. Fate gave her lucky chance: Valery Meladze, who came on tour, performed in this theater. She asked him for an autograph, and Valery advised her to send her photographs to her brother in Kyiv. He then collected future group and was just looking for such spectacular girls. Hope followed the advice, after which she received an invitation to audition. She was accepted with two conditions: to take her mother's surname - Granovskaya - and lose a few kilograms. A native of Grozny, Meseda Bagaudinova has Dagestan and Ukrainian roots. The heated brunette joined the group in April 2007 and stayed in it for a little over a year and a half. In early 2009, she had to give up her place so that Nadezhda Granovskaya could return to the team, in which the public's interest had clearly fallen due to endless reshuffles in the line-up. Her later career in show business went to scrap: she got married, gave birth to a child, put on a fair amount of kilograms, became interested in plastic surgery, and most importantly, she cut off her luxurious long hair and dyed the remaining ones first in chestnut, and then completely in light brown.

Perhaps the most underestimated member of VIA Gra, Alena Vinitskaya (real name Olga), spent the first two and a half years of its existence in the group. Many fans of the group's early songs note that it was the original timbre of Vinnitskaya's voice and the manner of Vinnitskaya's performance that made VIA Gre's first glory, after which the group's strategy changed to aggressive sexuality. Christina Kots-Gotlib from Donetsk joins the group. She had the shortest career in the history of the team - 3 months. During this time, she managed to star in the video for the song "Deceive, but stay", in which she has a reddish tint of hair, almost like Albina Dzhanabaeva. At that time, there were rumors about the complete breakup of the group, which were periodically refuted. Perhaps the producers really did not understand what to do with their group, whose recognition was falling every day. After leaving the group, Christina complained to the press that she found out about her dismissal by turning on the TV and seeing another girl (Olga Karyakina) in her place. In 2009 she passed the Ukrainian stage qualifying round contest "Miss Universe" and represented the country at this beauty pageant.

The history of the popular female team of the Viagra group began on September 3, 2000. It was then that the premiere of the debut video “Attempt No. 5” took place on the air of the Ukrainian television company “Biz-TV”, which instantly flew into the top positions of the main charts. After that, the group experienced rapid ups and downs more than once, repeatedly changed its line-up, its soloists began successful solo careers and gave birth to children. But, despite this, the popularity of Viagra did not decrease.

In 1999, Ukrainian businessman and owner of the Biz-TV channel Vladimir Kostyuk, inspired by the success of the Russian "Brilliant" and Western " spice girls”, decided to launch a similar Ukrainian project. For the role music producer he called Konstantin Meladze. One of the first approved soloists was Alena Vinnitskaya, who previously worked as a host on Biz-TV. Thanks to the casting, Meladze and Kostyuk found two more girls: Marina Modina and Yulia Miroshnichenko. But in the process of working on Attempt No. 5, it was decided to leave Alena alone and freeze the project for a while, continuing to search for suitable soloists.

When Nadezhda Granovskaya appeared on the horizon, it was decided to retrain the trio into a duet, in which Vinnitskaya got the role of the leading soloist. Initially, the group was supposed to be called "Silver". There are several versions about where the name "Viagra" came from. According to one of them, VIA is a vocal and instrumental ensemble, "gra" in Ukrainian means a game. Some believe that Viagra is a derivative of the names and surnames of the vocalists (Vi-Vinnitskaya, A- Alena, Gra- Granovskaya). But the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word "Viagra" is the famous drug that increases male potency. By the way, bringing out the V.I.A. "Gra" into the English-language music market, Sony Music management received a pre-trial claim from tablet manufacturers. Therefore, in the West, the group is known under the pseudonym Nu Virgos.

Initially, critics considered Viagra to be a one-hit group and predicted its short-lived fame. Over time, together they changed the name of the group to "The Last Unicorn", where Vinnitskaya became the author of the music and words of the songs they performed.

From 1997 to 2000, Vinnitskaya successfully combined the professions of a VJ and a reporter on music TV channels and a DJ on radio stations. On Biz-TV, she hosted the Ukrainian Twenty, which was also broadcast on the Russian MTV. It was there that she met Kostyuk, who invited her to join the Viagra group. With the participation of Alena, they shot 6 clips, released debut album, starred in two musicals and recorded several non-album songs.

On January 20, 2003, the girl left the team and began solo career, performing compositions in the style of pop-rock. Among the notable works in this field, it is worth highlighting the compositions "Let's Forget Everything", which became a hit in all Ukrainian charts, and the single "Tormented Heart", which made it possible to feel the full depth of Alena's author's lyrics.

In 2004, Alena performed with the world famous group"The Cardigans" at the Sports Palace, the largest concert venue Ukraine, and released the first album "Dawn". The girl is still actively performing, recording new albums and is active in social activities.

Nadya Meikher was born in the village of Zbruchovka on April 10, 1982. From the age of 11, she attended a folk dance circle and performed at various events. After school, Nadezhda entered the faculty of choreography and musical dance Khmelnitsky Pedagogical College.

Tanya was born in St. Petersburg on April 6, 1978. Since childhood, she dreamed of becoming an artist, but after graduating from school she entered the psychological and pedagogical faculty of Herzen University. In the Viagra group, Tatyana Naynik was put in place of Granovskaya. Together with her participation, the songs "Good Morning, dad", "Kill my girlfriend" were recorded. But in the same year, Tatyana left the team, not avoiding problems with the leadership.

After leaving, the girl starred in a full-length European movie in the styles of art house and horror (unfortunately, the pictures did not go beyond the European box office) and the comedy television series "Matchmakers". Now she collaborates with various charitable and public organizations and is a soloist and producer of her own group Maybe, created immediately after leaving Viagra and successfully functioning to this day.

In 2004, Anna Sedokova left the group, got married and had a daughter. In 2006, she posed for Playboy magazine and began performing on stage under the pseudonym Annabelle. Vera Brezhneva (Galushka)

Born in a poor large family in Dneprodzerzhinsk on February 3, 1982. She first performed with Viagra in 2002 as a wish from the audience. In 2003, she successfully passed the casting and took the place of the departed Alena Vinnitskaya. It is the composition of "Brezhnev-Sedokov-Granovskaya" that critics call "golden".

Participated in the casting together with Christina Kots-Gotlieb, but lost. After Christina did not fit into the trio, the producers decided to give Olga a second chance.

During her stay in the group, Olga starred in the clips “Flower and Knife”, “L.M.L.”, participated in the recording of the album “L.M.L.” in English. In March 2007, she announced her pregnancy and left the group. Olga's solo career began under her husband's surname. At the 8th month of pregnancy, Olga recorded the song "Lullaby".

She tried to cooperate with Maxim Fadeev, but they could not work together. In 2012, she received an offer to become one of six mentors in the reality show “I Want V VIA Gru”, but the girl refused.

So who was at the origin? What was the very first composition of Viagra - the legendary women's group Russian stage? Let's remember.

History of the group

Two friends, two talented musician, two music-obsessed people, eager to change the world, decided to create a new women's team which will change the idea of Russian stage. In 2000, successful TV producer Dmitry Kostyuk and composer Konstantin Meladze, after analyzing the success of the Spice Girls in the West and The Brilliant in Russia, joined forces to create new group, which will not only be able to compete with popular bands, but will also become a standard for them.

Selection of soloists

Since the task was not easy, the work progressed very slowly. The first composition of Viagra was recruited for a very long time. The first to enter the group at that time was the TV presenter of the Biz-TV channel, whose general director was Dmitry Kostyuk. He invited a talented and smart girl to participate in the project, but she doubted for a long time, as she preferred rock music. The interest to see what would come out of this undertaking prevailed over doubts, and Vinnitskaya agreed.

Numerous castings did not give results, the producers could not find those who fit the format of the group one hundred percent. The first composition of Viagra - Alena Vinnitskaya and selected girls Marina Kaschin and Yulia Miroshnichenko - began work on the first compositions, but the result did not satisfy Konstantin Meladze and Dmitry Kostyuk, and they decided to close the project.

After some time, they returned to an unrealized dream and started all over again, only this time they began to treat applicants for a place in VIA Gre even more demanding.

Not a trio but a duet

It was originally planned that VIA Gra would consist of three surprisingly attractive and charming girls who could sing. Desperate to find suitable soloists, the producers thought about creating solo project from Vinnitsa. But an unexpected discovery for them was Nadezhda Granovskaya. The girl met all the requirements, the main of which is a stunning sexy appearance. So, finally, Viagra was formed.

"Attempt No. 5" - that was the name of the first song of the girls, which instantly made them insanely popular - they literally woke up famous. It happened on September 4, 2000, the day after the premiere of the composition on the Biz-TV channel. The debut was marked by the Golden Gramophone, Stopud Hit, Golden Firebird and Golden Kettle awards. The band's first album was released in 2001.

Many years have passed since then, and soloists have often changed in the team, but no one will argue with the fact that Alena Vinnitskaya and Nadezhda Granovskaya are the real very first VIA Gra. By the way, are you wondering why the group was named that way? There are several versions.

Origin of the band's name

It turns out that the name of the team was not at all in honor of the drug of the same name. According to one version, "VIA Gra" is a combination of the abbreviation "vocal-instrumental ensemble" and the word "gra" (in Russian - "game").

In 2002, Nadezhda Granovskaya was preparing to become a mother, and therefore girls such as Anna Sedokova and Tatyana Naynik were invited to the team. This composition did not last long: from April to September 2002.

Already in November of this year, Nadezhda Granovskaya returns to the team, and the VIA Gra team looked like this: Alena Vinnitskaya, Anna Sedokova, Nadezhda Granovskaya and Tatyana Naynik.

But after a couple of months, Tatyana Nainik leaves the group, and the team consists of: Alena Vinnitskaya, Anna Sedokova and Nadezhda Granovskaya.

In January 2003 Alena Vinnitskaya decided to leave the band and start her own solo career. As a result of the casting, Vera Brezhneva gets into her place, and Anya Sedokova becomes the main soloist of the group. Thus, the 5th composition of the group, January 2003 - May 2004: Anna Sedokova, Nadezhda Granovskaya and Vera Brezhneva. Music critics call this composition "golden" and the most stylish, sexy and successful in the history of the group. During this time, the group released a large number of songs, shot many videos and was the leader in the number of rotations on TV and radio.

But in 2004, due to pregnancy, Anna Sedokova left the group, and in return Svetlana Loboda came to her, who was not particularly accepted by fans. Despite this, such a 6th group in a row: Nadezhda Granovskaya, Vera Brezhneva and Svetlana Loboda lasted from May 2004 to September 2004.
