Dima's childhood, the beginning of a career

The future star of the Ukrainian channel "1 + 1" and the Russian "Friday" was born in the sunny and hospitable city of Kyiv even before the collapse of the USSR, in 1983. Modest and not at all public, Dima's parents managed to create strong family and raise great kids. In addition to Dima, his father and mother also have twins, Nikolai and Angelina. with their parents early childhood Dima remembers being cheerful and sociable: there were always guests in the house, sincere parties were held with songs and interesting conversations. The boy was sent to a music school for a piano class (a common thing in Soviet families at that time), where he studied for six years.

Interesting fact about brother and sister. Dmitry recalls that he really did not like being only child, and he persuaded his parents to "give" him a brother or sister. With great excitement, he was waiting for the addition of the family, when his mother began to go to the doctor, and it was already clear that someone would be born soon. A boy - this was the result of an early ultrasound, but ... after the brother, a sister was also born!

When the parents were away, the older brother was instructed to look after the naughty twins. Dmitry loves his brother and sister very much, they also achieved success in life. Brother Nikolai is engaged in computer games (development of 2D games on the Unity engine), sister is a hair stylist.

Happy childhood Dima..

At the age of 12, he already tried himself in the field of journalism, writing articles for school newspaper. The leadership of the Ukrainian weekly Telenedelya was incredibly surprised when Dmitry, being a 17-year-old boy, came to the editorial office and seriously proposed his candidacy for the staff of correspondents. According to the law, at this age it was impossible to hire, a written consent of the parents was required. They gave it without objection: is it bad that the son already wants to earn money himself?

There was also a parallel collaboration with the publications "EGO" and "Playboy". “And what does travel have to do with it? latest magazine? - readers of numerous biographies of Dmitry think in surprise, where this fact is necessarily indicated. Not everyone knows that in Playboy, in addition to the “frank” one, there is also a travel section, and Dima wrote articles there, and, according to him, they paid very well.

This was after two high schools. Two - because at first Dima Komarov entered the Kiev National Technical University as an engineer. Why he went there - even the parents were surprised beyond words, because everything pointed to the creative nature of the young man and the fact that he would be a correspondent. After graduating from the transport university, Dmitry goes to get a second higher education already to my liking - to the University of Culture and Arts.

Then - successful work in Komsomolskaya Pravda, for six years he was special there. correspondent. At the same time, Dima worked for several years in the Izvestia in Ukraine publication (since 2007).

He began to travel the world and take interesting pictures of the picturesque places of the planet, while still a student. Dmitry immediately decided to move away from the standard "cliches" in his travels: big cities, he photographed the capitals of countries, of course, but he was more interested in small villages, remote places with unusual, mysterious stories. He made his first trips completely alone, believing that loneliness is the main "engine" in the naturalness of the information that a naturalist photographer receives; it helps to collect "pure" facts about exotic tribes with whom contact is intended.

In 2005, the audience was offered the first reportage-exposition about Africa (it included pictures taken in Tanzania and Kenya). Then Dmitry made an exposition about Nepal. The next series of photos was dedicated to India (it came out under the name "Indosutra"). While traveling in India, Komarov won two records at once: he was the first foreign correspondent admitted to cremation near the banks of the Ganges River, and the figures “20 thousand km in three months” were entered into the Book of Records of Ukraine.

Photo reports had big success, but their author was not enough two-dimensional photographs. The photo, according to Dima, could not fully convey the beauty and originality of the exotic, which he witnessed.

Volume, play of colors, sounds - all this should be in a TV program that will show the viewer not the standard "sleek" views of the Earth, but something new, shocking, so that it will take your breath away. With this thought, Dmitry Komarov and his friend Alexander Dmitriev went with a movie camera to Cambodia. It was not possible to find a sponsor for this dangerous journey, and the friends decided to make a report with their own money.

The creation of the "World Inside Out" program and its resounding success

A trial release, the so-called "pilot", was offered to the Ukrainian channel "1 + 1", it went on the air in December 2010. The success exceeded all expectations: a fascinating report on the culture of Cambodia, facts about mysterious rites, the presenter himself, who originally submits information - all this convinced the editors of the channel that the program was a real find. Shots where local residents eat poisonous spiders, filming of the country's brothels, a story about a tribe of cannibals - that's what the shocked viewers saw in the first issue of "The World Inside Out", and of course, they began to write, call, take an interest: when will the next program come out, where will the fearless leader go further?

Vietnam, Indonesia, India, several African countries - this is an incomplete list of places where Dmitry filmed his program. By 2016, together with cameraman Dmitriev, he had processed so much material that it allowed him to get another nomination in the Ukrainian Book of Records. It is called - "the maximum number of programs on tourism, filmed by a minimum film crew."

In any country, Dima tries to find an unusual and interesting information. In Mexico, he visited Hemingway's home, where the writer created his most famous works. Dmitry conquered Everest (2016), reaching the highest point on the planet at the risk of his life. In Nepal, he visited the epicenter of the earthquake (5.5 points) and filmed what was happening on camera.

The journey through the kingdom of Mustang was remembered by the audience of the “World Inside Out” because the host of their favorite program almost died: some higher power protected him from death. They had to get to the city of Jompson by plane, and there Dmitry met a mysterious hermit (by the way, his fellow countryman!), Who dissuaded him from flying through the air. Dmitry doubted whether to take a car: the road is very dangerous, besides, the cost of renting a car is several times more than plane tickets. Still, we went in a jeep, miraculously survived the collapse, and when we got to Mustang, we found out that the plane they were supposed to fly on crashed!

The “trick” of a journalist is to meet New Year not in a hotel room or even in a tent, but in unusual place Outdoors. During a trip to Kenya, on January 1, Dima was ... in a distant tribe of cannibals: “I am still in shock, how did they not eat us?” In Bolivia, on the night of December 31st to January 1st, he put on "cats" (special alpine equipment on his feet) and began climbing Mount Huayna Potosi alone, where he celebrated the New Year with the Ukrainian flag in his hands at an altitude of 6 thousand meters.

The year 2017 passed for Dmitry under the sign of Japan. He was admitted to secret world sumo fighters, communicated with representatives of the yakuza (due to a slightly unsuccessful comment, he was almost killed, but brilliantly left dangerous situation). Dima climbed the "rock of suicides" in this country and tried to uncover the secret high level suicide in Japan. While climbing, he met a woman named Yayo and talked her out of committing suicide. “I descended later and thought that it was not just an ascent, but a mission, the purpose of which is the price of human life.”

Dmitry Komarov and social networks, his charitable activities

The journalist is an active user of social pages: photographs, travel cuts are very popular among his fans in RuNet and abroad. Everyone: viewers of the program, visitors to Instagram, VK, Facebook, the management of "1 + 1" and "Friday" - have long been convinced that not only exclusive information is the key to the success of "The World Inside Out". He himself is an incredibly interesting personality, charming and open, with a surprisingly kind smile. In the difficult situation he "keeps his mark" and maintains his composure, humorously describes moments that at first glance are not at all funny.

Dmitry Komarov and Nadia Dorofeeva managed to collect cash for an operation on four-year-old Stas.

Under the “cup of coffee” tag, Dmitry is running a charitable program, the proceeds from which go to seriously ill children. The essence of the program: people are encouraged to transfer a purely symbolic amount to the fund for helping kids who need a difficult expensive operation. “Give up one cup of coffee, a pack of cigarettes, pour one liter less gasoline into the car tank, don’t drink a bottle of soda. You won’t even feel that you have less money, but for someone it’s life! Let's prove that people can work miracles, and a cup of coffee can stop death!” - this is how Dima calls to do good.

There is no shame or conscience among scammers who even here do not hesitate to get rich: Dima's Instagram and Facebook pages have been hacked countless times, trying to gain access to the accounts where donations are received. Dmitry's team in the social. networks (his most active assistants are Nadya Dorofeeva and Alena Semenit) constantly warn those who want to help children not to be “led” to hacked or fake pages, not to give a “cup of coffee” to deceivers.

In the photo Dmitry Komarov and Alexander Kucherenko in the TV show "Dancing with the Stars".

In October 2017, Dima Komarov hit everyone with one more noble deed. He participated in the Ukrainian project "Dancing with the Stars" and at the final stage, together with his partner Alexandra Kucherenko, took joint decision leave the program, losing leadership to the duet "Yuri Tkach - Ilona Gvozdeva". All the funds that were collected from the SMS sent to the address "Komarov - Kucherenko", the couple gave to the fund of sick kids. It was rumored that Dima got involved with this girl during the filming of the program romantic relationship, but both contestants on the show ignored the rumors.

Personal life and latest news

The alleged affair with the brilliant Sasha Kucherenko is most likely not a fact, but the reaction of Dima's fans to his absolute "ignore" when questions are asked about his personal life. Open to the world, able to find mutual language with shamans, cannibals and yakuza, it is completely closed to everyone in terms of details personal nature. “What is it, a game for the public, the desire to “warm up” secret popularity?” some envious people grumble. Does he really need an artificial rating increase? It's just that he is modest, does not like to show off his personal, and probably has not yet met his true love, since there is still no wife and children.

Some literally grains about the "affairs of the heart" stars of an extreme TV show still leak sometimes to the press, though without names. Allegedly, he is so attractive and sincere that in almost every country he has a fleeting romance. Dima himself does not deny the fact that he fell in love with foreign women several times, but only a Ukrainian will be his chosen one for the "post" of his wife. "Lent" - because it is not only joy, to live with such wonderful person, but also difficult work: to endure constant absences, to watch with bated breath how a husband climbs a high rock or talks with savages.

About his statements about the fact that the “most-most” girls in the world are Ukrainians, the media also “walked” with criticism many times. Dima explains his sympathy for fellow countrywomen without "binding" to national question. I, he says, will be able to find a common language and live for a long time with a girl who was brought up in the same environment as me. Same upbringing, similar kids and teen company, university home country, the same watched films and even cartoons - all this forms a close mindset that Dmitry's future chosen one should have. “Here is the meeting with which we will be on the same wavelength, then I will start thinking about the family,” he invariably says. And when they ask him if he even has a permanent girlfriend, he smiles and replies: “Happiness loves silence.”

In 2018, Dima Komarov continues to work fruitfully and shoot new reports. But this is not the limit of his work: he is now writing a book, at the beginning of the year its preliminary announcement was released. According to him, the book will be a symbiosis of advice from an extreme traveler, it will include rare recipes from exotic countries that have not been included in social media photo, even detailed maps the places he has visited. Dima dreams that this book will become an alternative geography textbook for schoolchildren.

  • His grandfather and grandmother lived in Nalchik, his grandfather led the anti-hail and anti-avalanche services of the region. Is it not by inheritance genetic level is he drawn to dangerous places?
  • He trusts his hair only to his sister Angelina - he cuts his hair exclusively in her salon.
  • Dmitry spent a lot of time in the Elbrus region as a child, and as an adult he came there to do free-ride (descent from the mountains not along the ski track, but on pure snow).
  • Even before the Ukrainian “Dancing with the Stars”, he tried himself as a dancer, starring in Japan in a video with a famous pop group.
  • The perfect vacation, he says, is riding a four-wheeled chopper. Explaining such a strange choice, Dima quotes experienced motorcyclists: "Four wheels carry your soul, and two - only the body."
  • He is so charming and irresistible that even the natives cannot resist his male attractiveness. In New Guinea, a Papuan woman persistently rubbed against his shoulder, suggesting "a walk in the woods." The translator also said that the girl asked me to tell the “white deity”: she agrees to marry him.
  • It is quite possible that one of the next reports of the journalist will be about his native Ukraine: “There are also places in Ukraine where you can greatly surprise yourself and the viewer.”
  • Dima travels strictly alone with the operator, but there is another person to whom Komarov expressed public gratitude many times for his help in creating the program. This is a "voice-over", director-editor Vitaly Naryshkin.
  • Continuing fundraising under the tag "cup of coffee", the journalist is seriously thinking about creating his own charitable foundation.

Dmitry Komarov is a professional traveler, journalist, born on 06/17/1983 in Kyiv.

Childhood

Dmitry was born into a very simple, then still Soviet family. Parents were far from journalism, and even more so from the world of television shows. There were three children in the family, and they all became successful people each doing what they love. The brother develops computer games, and the sister is a professional hair stylist working in a prestigious salon.

In childhood

This was made possible thanks to the full support of parents who found individual approach for each child, all three were surrounded by love and helped them find themselves and fully reveal their strengths.

Carier start

Dima's writing talent manifested itself in childhood. At school, he began writing articles first for a wall newspaper, and at the age of 12 he began sending them to real print media. By the age of 17, he was already able to get an editorial position in the popular weekly Telenedelya.

However, the parents did not consider the profession of a journalist reliable and advised Dmitry to get a more mundane specialty that could guarantee a steady income. The fact that in the pockets of an independent journalist is “sometimes thick, sometimes empty”, Dima had already managed to make sure own experience.

He listened to the opinion of his parents and entered the transport university, which he successfully graduated from. However, in parallel, he continued to cooperate with several prestigious publications and develop his journalistic career. During this period, he became interested in professional photography and even regularly participated in exhibitions.

His education did not end with an engineering degree. He nevertheless decided to find a profession closer to journalism and entered the second higher education, this time choosing the specialty "public relations". And he did not regret it at all, as he learned many useful things that allowed him to take place on television.

world inside out

Dmitry became interested in traveling while still at the university. He spent almost all the money earned by journalism on them. And most of all he was attracted uncharted places and exotic countries. By the age of 25, he had already visited more than 20 of them.

Dmitry always brought them from his travels colorful pictures and interesting reports, which were bought with pleasure by prestigious printed publications. But at one fine moment, he realized that two-dimensionality no longer suits him, since it cannot convey the fullness of impressions.

And then he thought about creating his own program. But at first the idea seemed unrealistic to him. He was not known in television circles, and no one would have given him money to create a project just like that. But, being stubborn by nature, he, along with his friend, cameraman Alexander Dmitriev, went to Cambodia with his own money.

Dmitry took the footage to the 1 + 1 channel. And they were really interested in this project. A few weeks later, Dmitry went on a trip to exotic countries, from which he brought fascinating materials that became the basis of the “World Inside Out” series of programs. Opened his reportage from Cambodia.

Dmitry's unusual reporting style, his amazing communication skills and sincere interest in really showing viewers the most amazing facts about each country, quickly made the program super popular. Her ratings grew with each new broadcast, and it was decided to launch the second season.

Personal life

Dmitry is still not married. Although already dreaming of own family and even children. But for now, he devoted himself entirely to his favorite project and travel. Constant moving around the world makes creation Serious relationships so far impossible. And frivolous ones simply do not suit him, although fleeting novels still happened.

Dmitry considers Ukrainian women the most beautiful girls in the world. He is skeptical about marriages between foreigners, believing that people from different cultures will never fully understand each other. And this is hindered not only insufficiently deep knowledge language - he was convinced from his own experience that the country still forms a certain mentality, which is deposited in the subcortex.

Dmitry considers the Ukrainian flag to be his talisman, which protects him on his travels. He deploys it in the most inaccessible places, dedicating his victories to his beloved Ukraine and popularizing it in the world. And he conquered a lot of such places over the years of work in the program.

His favorite group is Okean Elzy, the sport is surfing, films are fantasy and adventure. Thanks to constant physical activity Dmitry is in excellent physical form without any diet. With a height of 180 cm, he weighs only 77 kg and easily carries a backpack weighing more than 30 kilograms on his shoulders.

When asked what qualities his future chosen one, the first to note loyalty - after all, she will have to wait for him for several months from exotic expeditions. And it is also very important to understand and recognize his personal freedom. Dmitry believes that in a couple people should develop together, and not reshape one another for themselves.

In 2017, Dmitry took part in Ukrainian versions of projects "Dancing with the Stars" And "League of Laughter" .

Television career of Dmitry Komarov

After he turned 25, Dmitry seriously thought about creating his own TV show. The idea to create the program "The World Inside Out" came up during a trip to Thailand. Then Dima realized that I can’t convey photos and tell what he sees with his own eyes. By that time, he had already traveled on his own in more than 20 exotic countries, being a great travel lover. So, his expedition to India in 2008-2009 was included in the Book of Records of Ukraine: Komarov managed to drive 20,000 kilometers across the country on his own in 90 days.

The money for the shooting of the new project was not immediately found, since Komarov was then unknown to anyone, and the program might not have received the desired success. Therefore, Dima and his faithful friend and operator Alexander Dmitriev went on the first expedition to Cambodia at their own expense.

“Returning to Kyiv and making newspaper publications, photo reports and photo exhibitions, I suddenly felt that I did not have enough opportunities to convey the three-dimensionality and volume of what I saw. When these thoughts appeared, I began to take a “soap box” on a trip and shoot small videos - to train, ”Dmitry admitted.

The idea of turning a hobby into interesting project turned out to be successful: December 11, 2010 telecast "The World Inside Out" first appeared on TV screens on the Ukrainian TV channel "1 + 1". This moment was preceded by a fascinating journey of several months. The first country that Dmitry Komarov wanted to show the audience was the mysterious and little-known in the west of Cambodia.

Positive feedback on the project and the high interest of the audience became the reason for the extension of the program for next season and then others. Dmitry is not afraid to climb into the most amazing and sometimes hard-to-reach places. And that's what makes his show so popular.

Dmitry Komarov: “We have to carry a lot of things with us, because we try to go from A to Z in every country, which means we have to climb mountains, and we need appropriate shoes and equipment there. In the tropics - completely different clothes. The rainy season also has its own characteristics. Besides, there are only two of us."

During expeditions, when he begins to miss home, he listens to Svyatoslav Vakarchuk and his group "Ocean Elzy".
- Surfing.
- Regularly helps children who need treatment. In the future, he wants to create his own charitable foundation.
- Dmitry Komarov became the first journalist who was allowed by the Indian government to film the cremation procedure on the banks of the Ganges River. - The flag of Ukraine is the talisman of the travel host.

Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Komarov became known to the widest public quite recently, after his author's travel program The World Inside Out was shown first on the Ukrainian channel 1 + 1, and then in Russia on the Friday channel.

Dmitry was born in Kyiv in 83 and since young years dabbled in journalism. At the age of 17, he already worked as a full-time column editor for a Kiev weekly. In addition, he was a correspondent for the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, wrote for publications such as Playboy and Izvestia in Ukraine. In addition, Dmitry is professionally engaged in photography and works for print media not only as an author, but also as a photographer. Dmitry also had his own photo exhibitions - in 2005 he exhibited photographs from an expedition to Africa, in 2007 to Nepal, in 2009 to India, in 2012 to Southeast Asia.

However, the key idea in his career was to create a program about his expeditions. He was always an avid tourist, and he liked to visit places where the foot of a simple traveler did not set foot - in the very heart of Asia or Africa, in villages and villages, in small towns, in houses ordinary people, where no tours are taken, where no one speaks Russian or English, and almost no one has seen Europeans. At first, Dmitry wrote essays about his trips and took photographs, but he lacked three-dimensionality, a lively image. So the idea came up to make a travel program that would show the non-tourist part of the country. This is how the project “The World Inside Out” was born.

The first cycle of programs was released on the Ukrainian channel 1 + 1 and was dedicated to Cambodia, a country about which little was known in Ukraine and Russia, especially about what it has outside of the only known attraction in our country, Angkor Wat. The budget for the program was minimal, as was film crew- only two went to Cambodia - Dmitry himself and his cameraman. However, the program became so popular that other installments followed.

On the next expedition, Komarov went to India, then to Africa, visiting Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zanzibar, Kenya. The fourth cycle was a cycle of programs about Vietnam, then there was an expedition to Indonesia, and now the last one is broadcast on Ukrainian and Russian TV channels. this moment cycle of travel latin america- Dmitry and the operator have been traveling around Cuba, Bolivia and Mexico for several months. The main difference between the program and other similar tourist destinations is to show the way of life, habits, culture local residents without tourist embellishments, such as it really is.

As it appears - wife of Dmitry Komarov does not yet exist, since Dmitry is completely devoted to his project. Many months of expeditions, serious illnesses and infections that can be brought from there, subsequent work on programs - apparently, Dmitry has not yet met a girl who will be able to share such a passion for the underside of exotic countries.

The host, the traveler, and the details of his biography and personal life have always interested a large army of his fans.

world inside out

The TV program "The World Inside Out" is perhaps the brightest page in the biography and personal life of Dmitry Komarov.

The idea of creating his own author's TV program came to Dmitry Komarov during his numerous trips around the world. He suddenly felt that the framework of printed publications had become cramped for him.

How to convey the extraordinary magic colors, volume and movement? How to make an exciting report about the mystical, hard-to-reach corners of the planet, fully tell about the original culture, customs and rituals various peoples? It was obvious that the television format was best suited for this.

"The World Inside Out" - India, 2011

The stumbling block for many creative endeavors is finding a source of funding. At first, it was not possible to find him, and Dmitry Komarov and his faithful companion cameraman Alexander Dmitriev made a pilot issue about Cambodia with their own money.

The pilot episode of the program was aired on the Ukrainian TV channel "1 + 1" in December 2010, and had resounding success. The producers no longer had any doubts: Komarov found " gold mine", a real telehit.

In total, 9 seasons of the World Inside Out program have been aired so far:

  • Cambodia, 2010
  • India, 2011
  • Africa, 2012
  • Vietnam, 2013
  • Indonesia, 2014
  • Latin America, Cuba, Mexico, 2015
  • Bolivia, 2015
  • Nepal, 2016
  • Japan, 2017

"The World Inside Out" - Nepal, 2016

Both viewers and television critics have long agreed that the enduring popularity of this program rests on the personality of the presenter. Dmitry in the frame is kind, charming, open. His trademark smile is his business card. He is incredibly communicative, he is able to find a common language and understanding with anyone: from a cannibal to a priest of a forbidden temple.

The film crew of the program is only two people, Dmitry and the operator, and only in Kyiv an editor and a sound engineer are connected to the process.

In their travels, Dmitry and his operator sometimes really risk their lives. Dmitry was bitten by a poisonous snake, he jumped from a bungee into the abyss near the waterfall. A trip to Nepal became especially dangerous for Dmitry.

In the closed kingdom of Mustang, Dmitry and the cameraman first found themselves at the epicenter of the earthquake, then miraculously did not board a flight on a plane that crashed in the mountains, and, finally, trying to climb the highest peak world of Chomolungmu, Dmitry overestimated his strength, received pulmonary edema and ended up in the hospital.

Dmitry Komarov

Perhaps one of the most fantastic and at the same time melodramatic turned out to be a trip to the world of the real future - Japan. Suicides are the real scourge of the country rising sun. Dmitry Komarov met a young woman Yayo near the "suicide rock". The paradox was that outwardly, twenty-seven-year-old Yayo had everything in her life in order: her husband, children, a well-paid job. But she felt constant bouts of depression. Spiritual emptiness led to the fact that the woman simply stopped seeing the meaning in life.

Dmitry made Yayo an offer to climb Mount Fuji, sacred to all Japanese, together. He himself described his decision as follows:

“Climbing Mount Fuji was my dream. But I could not even imagine that a chance meeting with Yayo would turn a dream into an important mission, the price of which is - human life. I went down the mountain and thought that sometimes just talking to a person who is having a hard time at heart can save his life.

Climbing Fujiyama internally transformed Yayo, she realized how narrow and erroneous her views on our life were, and intrusive thoughts left her about suicide.

Dmitry Komarov hike to the "rock of suicides"

Dmitry showed such kindness and mercy in his programs more than once, providing real, sometimes even financial assistance people in difficult situations.

Bright colors in the issue about Japan were added by Dmitry's report on the holiday of Japanese mafiosi - yakuza. One wrong word - and Dmitry was in danger of saying goodbye to life. Fortunately, Dmitry's resourcefulness and charm helped him to get out of the situation with honor this time.

Personal life

Those who are interested in the biography of Dmitry Komarov know that his Family status- single. He is already thirty-four years old, but he still does not have a wife.

The point here is not only in the insane employment of Dmitry and his selfless devotion to his work. The reason for this loneliness is that Dmitry takes romantic relationships extremely seriously.

Dmitry Komarov

IN big interview 2016, about his biography and personal life, Dmitry Komarov admitted that he was sometimes captivated in his travels foreign girls, but quickly realized that such a relationship had no future. Sooner or later, the difference in languages, values, mentalities, upbringing, culture will begin to affect and this will inevitably lead to a painful break.

Dmitry believes that a beloved woman should be, first of all, a like-minded man. He understands unanimity not as complete identity in views and habits, but common interests A couple must have. If they are not there at all, then the connection will quickly break off.

Very important Dmitry considers the similarity in tastes - musical, cinematic, literary. Lovers should be on the same wavelength.
