Veronica Guru, 30 years old

What gave me training at the "National Academy of Arts" as a teacher-choreographer: new knowledge - YES, no doubt. Different styles dance, that's for sure. Folk dance was like shock therapy for me. Let me explain a little, I am a contemporary, I dance contemporary, jazz, modern, earlier hip-hop. Therefore, folk dance was a discovery for me)) but it turns out there is also improvisation in folk dance !!))
Also, wonderful teachers, masters of their craft, creative and talented people. Alina Venediktova is a treasure trove of knowledge and an endless stream of creativity. After graduation, I continue to go to her classes. And I often see my classmates there. Which is also a big plus. Because we had a wonderful group, and we continue to communicate, and often create together, make common productions. Thanks to the academy for extraordinary talented like-minded friends with whom I want to create and feed each other with various crazy ideas, make dreams come true. I fondly remember this year, when I ended up there, I had a feeling that I was exactly where I needed to be, here and now.
What else, a very responsive administration, can always enter into the position of a student, take into account different nuances and force majeure. Very kind, sincere people.
And, of course, a state diploma. sample. This is the first thing they asked me when applying for a job. I work in a secondary school, a teacher of additional education. Speaking in Russian, I lead dance circles for children different ages.
If you need to urgently get a diploma, then this is the most short term which is in Moscow.
From experience, I can say that dance became my profession of the year, very little, if there was a second year, I would gladly continue my studies. But I am already learning all the time, already under other programs, at master classes, in the process of work. You need to be able to let the teacher go, and they will go on a free voyage, fill their own bumps))) I sum up !!! I felt good and at peace there.

I want to say thanks a lot school "Duncan" for the opportunity to become a choreographer in 9 months!!! Unfortunately, my studies have come to an end... But I hope that I will continue to be friends with this school and visit the destinations I love. This school has wonderful teachers, real professionals who are passionate about their work! Classes are very competently built - 90 min. - This real time in which they are engaged with you (and even more!). Warming up, learning chords, repetition, learning new movements, stretching, plus all this with perfectly selected music. A very consistent approach to classes, a lot of attention to the safety of performing movements. You really get pleasure from classes, a boost of energy and good mood for the whole day, and the result is visible after a few classes. The highest level of teaching individual approach to each student, exactingness, so you need to give all the best at 100%. For me, now DUNCAN is a family, an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. Here I am surrounded wonderful people very positive and kind. Very nice to be within the walls of this place! Here I was finally able to really open up, try myself in those dance directions in which I never imagined seeing myself. Here I found really real friends who are burning with a common cause - dance. Now I'm dancing, which means I'm living...!!

I have been studying at Duncan Academy since February 2015. I've been looking for a place for a long time where I could get additional education, but where it was not necessary to study for 3 years in correspondence, as many universities offer. It seems to me that this is a great opportunity not only to get a diploma after studying for 9 months, but also to practically try different directions dancing. And not only try, but really learn how to apply them in choreography. It's about about such directions as classical dance, folk dance, jazz modern, contemporary dance, street dance (hip-hop, jazz-funk, house, etc.), ballroom dancing, and also the art of a ballet master, where they give a very good theoretical base. Speaking about the teachers, I would like to emphasize their professionalism and ability to present the material. Even if you have never danced ballroom (as, for example, I), you can easily not only learn, but also put dance numbers. The lessons thoroughly understand all the techniques, tricks and techniques. You will be told how to teach this or that subject not only to adults, but also to children. In addition, to study in such a team among such interesting and creative people- it's still great fun!

My dear subscribers, friends and colleagues! For the past 4 years, our project has been engaged in online learning and conducts webinars, trainings and seminars for you.

This is very interesting, and most importantly right direction, which I am convinced of after each new training.

However, there are a number of problems that do not always allow everyone to take advantage of our offers.

Firstly, we do not have the opportunity to conduct new trainings more than once every 2-3 months. It takes time to prepare for each training! And there are so many themes and directions in choreography! What do you want to embrace the immensity!

Secondly, each training takes place in certain time, namely at this moment, not everyone can participate in the training for some reason. For example, due to a trip to the competition, lack of finances, in a given period of time, and even corny, due to the fact that I saw information about the training late and recruitment to the group has already ended! People often write to me about this and ask if there will be a set next time.

We repeat some trainings once a year, some we don’t repeat at all, because we want to cover different topics.

In this regard, the idea of \u200b\u200bcreating . We have been working on this site for over a year.

Well, now the fun part!

In honor of the opening of the site - distance learning Choreographers from May 20 to May 27 we are holding a promotion! You can get a 20% discount on any training!

But that's not all!

After the end of the promotion, namely on May 28, among the clients who ordered and paid for this or that training, according to the order number, a prize will be drawn - an induction column.

The induction speaker is a revolutionary gadget in the market of personal music amplifiers for smartphones, phones, etc.
The device allows you to amplify the sound volume of your phone, without any connection! Without wires, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and more.

Just put your iPhone on the speaker and the music that is on your phone will play, only 3-4 times louder and in best quality. The column is equipped with two speakers and has an anti-slip, pleasant to the touch coating. Runs on batteries. Working time up to 15 hours.

With an induction column, you can rehearse anytime, anywhere!

Yours, Natalya Dovbysh

From the side of life and labor activity these professionals seems like a series of endless holidays. However, there are often pitfalls on their way, which we will try to talk about today.

Society has always gravitated toward art and appreciated great artists and artists. The love of creativity still lives in every person and, although not everyone has a special gift for creating unique works on their own, everyone strives to touch the beautiful. Theaters, concerts, cinema - the creative embodiment of the whole people. One of these incarnations are dances, which are staged by a choreographer.

The compositions developed by the choreographer are part of ballet performances and concert numbers. They complement the performances of the artists and make them colorful, breathing life into the whole production. The overall impression of the viewer and the success of the program depends on the well-coordinated movements of the performers, which in turn depend solely on the professionalism of the choreographer.

Note that from the outside, the life and work of these professionals seem like a series of endless holidays. However, there are often pitfalls on their way, which we will try to talk about today.

Who is a choreographer?

- a creator, an artist who adopts the experience of generations and supplements it with new elements. He devotes himself completely to creating new unique choreographic numbers and their embodiment on stage through dance performances.

At each stage of work, the choreographer interacts with all participants in the production. Together with composers and conductors, he works on musical accompaniment dance, determining the musical mood and thinking through the images corresponding to it. For a complete picture of the upcoming work, he gets acquainted with the literary fundamentals, after which he thinks over the costumes and choreographic numbers that the dancers rehearse under his strict guidance.

concept choreography It has ancient Greek origin("choreia" - dance, "grapho" - describe) and implies the art of dance, an interconnected set of movements and postures that are consistent with each other and form a dance episode or a full-fledged dance through special allegories. It is choreography that focuses the life and work of choreographers.

The formation of this profession lasted for centuries. Even before our era, dances were part of the rites and rituals, and later they were classified as one of the art forms. Elementary movements to the beat of music or complex "Pas" allowed the people to express their emotions and reflected the national color. The dance customs of each nation were gradually transformed, supplemented, improved - this led to the need to single out the profession of a choreographer.

Naturally, ordinary peasants had no time for learning new productions, and they completely managed with their own skills, which they demonstrated after a hard day's work in cheerful round dances. But for representatives of the nobility, the choreography played significant role. After all, not a single ball could do without a graceful and well-coordinated performance of the waltz. In addition, many receptions in the palaces were invited dancers entertaining the audience with their performances. Therefore, a person who can invent original dance and able to coordinate his charges, was a must.

We emphasize that the specialty "choreographer" received the greatest popularity and separation into a separate profession only in the last few decades. The main responsibilities of the choreographer today include:

  • Creation and discussion of the composition.
  • Participation in castings for the selection of dancers and the distribution of specific images, taking into account the skills and abilities of each of them.
  • Choice of scenery, costumes and music.
  • Attending rehearsals to train dancers and practice technique.
  • Ensuring the performances of members of their group in concert programs.
  • Teaching different types of dance.

What personal qualities should a choreographer have?

Choreographer to become successful in professional field It definitely takes talent. After all, it is he who determines his ability to see the beautiful and create unique choreographic compositions. At the same time, it is quite natural that talent and ability to dance alone cannot achieve high results. To become a well-known and sought-after specialist, a choreographer also needs a set of personal qualities defining driving force his activities.

The profession implies the presence of leadership qualities that will allow you to lead the entire group. Since the scope of duties includes not only the creation of the dance, but also its production, the choreographer must be able to organize the work of the dancers, determine the skills and characteristics of each of them. For dance group he is a teacher and director, who, although he cannot be fully responsible for the entire performance, takes responsibility for the quality of the production and preparation for the event.

One of the determining factors of activity is professional knowledge. The choreographer is an erudite, well versed in both art history and other areas of life from which he draws his inspiration. He knows all types of dances and their origin, which allows him to create not only new episodes, but also restore historical productions. In addition, he has excellent hearing, a sense of rhythm.

Permanent residence in society and the need to find mutual language with costume designers, producers, musicians and other members of the production, they oblige the choreographer to be sociable and able to compromise.

He is engaged not only in the creation of new images, but also takes a direct part in the dance, so he must always monitor his physical form. Heavy workloads, long rehearsals and experiences cost money a large number energy, which causes choreographers to have high level physical and psychological endurance.

Benefits of being a choreographer

The profession is widespread in the field show business. Talented and experienced choreographers are hired to work in dance shows, musicals, filming, theater, opera and other cultural projects. Therefore, they have many opportunities to implement their ideas. With a happy combination of circumstances, the result of hard work can be universal recognition and glory.

It should be noted that with the growth of popularity, the demand for good specialists also increases, which directly affects the level of his well-being. That's why wage at high degree employment can be very high.

Like other representatives creative professions , choreographers are most often not tied to a specific place of work. They can work in any place convenient for them: on outdoors or indoors - it doesn’t matter, the main thing is free flight of thoughts and a pleasant atmosphere. The field of activity also does not oblige them to stay within the same country, so the choreographer has the opportunity to visit every corner of the world, where dance will be the only way to express it.

Another advantage is the fact that upon achieving certain results in the chosen profession, you can open private school dance and pass on their knowledge to the next generation, as well as take part in dance competitions and forever leave their mark on the history of choreography.

Disadvantages of the profession of choreographer

Despite all the romanticism choreographer's activities not without flaws. The work is associated with heavy workloads and an irregular work schedule, which exhausts the body and can cause various diseases and nervous breakdowns. Absolute involvement in the process, constant tours and rehearsals make it impossible to plan a personal life and vacation. There are frequent cases of injuries during the performance of complex movements, and sometimes these injuries put an end to a future career.

A frightening factor for choreographers is the age limit. Because good performance is essential to performance. physical form And appearance it can be very difficult to stay in the profession after 35 years. Upon reaching a certain age threshold dance directors you have to look for new ways to earn money and learn a new profession.

In addition, due to the massive spread of this type of activity, which has led to a reduction in demand and high competition, not everyone manages to pave their way to the pinnacle of success. The large investment required at the beginning of the journey, when the profession has not yet begun to generate income, may not justify itself, and as a result, lead to disappointment.

Where can you get a job as a choreographer?

The development of a profession often begins in childhood. Attending choreography classes at an art school is the first step on the path to a dream. Along with studying at a secondary school, future choreographer pays special attention to dancing. Preparation based on 9 classes is provided art colleges, and after receiving a certificate, you can apply to a higher educational institution.

It should be noted that although early pre-professional training provides undeniable advantages for admission and further work, the presence of talent, great desire or participation in dance clubs will allow you to successfully enter a university and become a choreographer without pre-training. To date, in the field of choreographic education, there are also many dance studios However, the training they provide is not enough to master the profession to the fullest.

Professional education for choreographers is given cultural institutions and pedagogical universities, which conduct a thorough selection of applicants. Therefore, good preparation is very important for admission. Most admissions committees pay special attention classical dance, the technique of its performance and the musicianship of the performer. During the audition, a candidate for a vacant position may also be asked to perform compositions from other dance styles.
